==Training Iron Guard SL, Telos== <<106 PP; Q4 Sector, Telos, Jedi Academy>>
There was a brief bit where the group was apparently talking to each other, but without the sound. After a moment, they seemed to reach an agreement & their helms were removed. They mostly looked human or near-human at least as some of the proportions were a little off, but one was a reptilian of some type that the exceptionally well versed might recognize as a rakata. The first to speak was a pale man with solid grey eyes that were slightly too large to be pure human. For the moment, he was the only one standing up, as the rest had already been seated.
-Hector Hey teach. Just a heads up, I'm not sure what you might have been told, but we are only going to be training under you. The evaluations come later & are between different groups of students. On to the intros. I'm Hector. The scaly is Sakshi.
The rakata known as Sakshi was a pale blue that brought to mind some types of bird eggs. Her armor was relatively unadorned except multicolored highlights edging some of the plates in her armor. She was lounging on one of the couches between two other females.
-Hector Next up is Demas.
This was a darkly-tanned, big bull of a man with purple hair. His armor almost looked like a variation of EOD armor & was painted a nearly eye hurting bright yellow. Demas was perched on a tall stool near the wetbar.
-Hector Firmin. Oksana. Vlatko. Zerilo. Bastakas. Morqrin. Nang.
Hector began ticking them off quickly with his finger. There would be plenty of time to get names down. Firmin was the pale female to Sakshi's left. She looked baseline human, with blonde hair & brown eyes. Her armor was nearly the same shade as Shaski's skin. Oksana was the woman on Sakshi's right hand. A series of bumps along her forehead gave her a vaguely zabrak cast, though she otherwise looked human. Her skin was a pleasant earthy tone with contrasted with the alabaster of her armor nicely. Vlatko was a swarthy fellow with a rather large hooked nose sprawled on the floor against one of the walls. His armor was a dusky grey that seemed to blur the light around him. Zerilo seemed to be one of a pair of men sitting on a low table. He was shaved completely bald & his pale skin showed the veins beneath it. His eyes were shut & he seemed to be napping, but he waved slightly as his name was called. His armor was a deep purple that seemed almost black in places. Bastakas was the other man sitting on the table. Unlike his neighbor, he was a golden tan that seemed nearly metallic. His armor was the exact same shade as his skin. Morqrin looked more like a bear in armor than a person. Only a thin strip around his eyes showed between his beard & his mess of hair. He was more or less crouched in a chair. In an odd choice, his armor was a pale pink. Nang was a smaller female with an oriental cast to her, except for her bright red hair. Her armor was green like new leaves & she was sitting on the arm of the Morqrin's chair.
-Hector None of us really have any training or experience with the Force. It is why we are here after all. Can't really make any calls for scaly here Sakshi nods at the reference, with a slight smile, but the rest of us are genies. No one is really sure why, but genie predisposition seems to be toward telekinesis & various forms of insight. Like knowing when a punch is coming even if you can see it.
With the exception of Demas, the entire group tended toward lighter armor, though the specific design, pattern & ornamentation varied widely enough that there didn't seem to be any common basis. Judging from the interactions, this group was at least moderately familiar with each other already. Though from the clumping, it was likely that the smaller groups went back further & the entire group had been gathered up at some point more recently.

Akari nodded to himself, mentally correcting his misunderstandings. The whole endeavour was frankly making a lot more sense now, he'd have to have a word with that recruitment officer if he ever ran into him again.
"All right, that being the case things get a little simpler. I don't have to worry about conflicts in teaching. You get to deal with more than you'll probably like." He took a breath before continuing. "For now I'm going to run you through some basic meditation."
The next several hours were spent with Akari making sure the students all had a grasp of how to touch and manipulate the force. It was basic, and if the students knew they were force sensitive already then it was likely stuff they had experimented with themselves. Still he had to establish a baseline, and they did claim a lack of experience.
As he wrapped up that lesson Akari decided to give them a forewarning on what training could potentially include.
"Alright class, enough of the meditation. It's time for a serious talk. My specialty is in mental manipulation and illusions, which grants us certain... opportunities.
Depending on how comfortable each of you are with me touching your minds, I'll be able to help guide you in your efforts and accelerate your learning. As well we can construct scenarios and experiences that would be near impossible to recreate without some really advanced simulators.
The choice is yours. If I didn't ask you all about I have a feeling your governor would have me ejected at best when he found out. But more importantly if you weren't willing I could cause damage which would be contrary to our goals here. I want you to succeed as much as you likely do."
He let out a breath. He had no idea how they would take it, but he knew it had to come up eventually.
"We won't get to stuff like that for a while yet. But I'd like you all to think on it. If you want to stick with the traditional approach no one, especially myself, will judge you. I wouldn't have wanted someone rooting around in my head at your age either."

The students settled down & devoted themselves to mastering the meditation exercises that Akari had shown them. Unfortunately, the bloodline they were part of wasn't one that was easy to access. None of the students showed the slightest ability to manifest the force. In fact, observing them through the force would reveal that most of them would only ever manage to become minor talents at best. The force might be common in the bloodline, but it wasn't very strong. Of all the students only Hector showed the slightest beginnings of active stirrings.
The talk of mind sorcery had an obvious effect, especially to those sensitive in the force. The individual reactors ranged from wary to just shy of terror, but it was quickly clear that the Clan had some pretty serious demons in the closest about some types of force use. Even among those that could tap into that power themselves. It would likely take a lot of work & trust before anyone here would be willing to submit for such things.
-Hector No offense, friend, but that kind of stuff is really frowned on. It is like stealing a person's soul. I don't know how powerful you are at it, but you should be aware that everyone on the ship, in the whole Imperium in fact, gets training to resist mind alterations.

Abandoned and empty, having been sacked several times both throughout history and more recently, the Telosian Jedi Academy would become the central location for Clan Awaud to settle. Isolated, hidden and highly defensible, it was the ideal location to house the Clan's central form of government as well as keep all important documents and relics of the clan guarded. Thani, Telos' capital city, wasn't terribly far away either. Given that the farmland they needed was on the outskirts of the city, Clan Awaud would dig in here and turn the former Jedi Academy into a Mandalorian Enclave. The clan's allies, several Talz clans, were more suited to the colder climates of Telos' polar region so it was a beneficial move for both parties involved. The handful of Muuns that had also joined Clan Awaud, would settle on the outskirts of Thani and aid the Clan in establishing industry with the locals. Cold climates weren't a bother to Orrick anyways and he preferred to be away from the hustle and bustle of large population centers.
Landing his M22-T Krayt Gunship on the plateau, the aged Mandalorian powered down the craft and proceeded to exit the ship. Clutching his helmet under his left arm, he exited the ship. A bracing cold wind swept of the plateau. His breath could be seen before his face as his boots crunched in the snow. Overhead, several of the clan's Crusader-Class corvettes were settling into position above the plateau, sending down people and support to retrofit the Academy into something habitable for the clan. The larger vessels of the Clan's fleet, would remain in orbit. Those small enough to enter the atmosphere, would begin settling the farmland outside of Thani and begin ferrying supplies and people between their farming settlement and the main enclave they were establishing here. All was going well. Clan Awaud finally had another home. It was a good day for his people.

Henoc landed his Ye-4 Gunship a few feet away from Orrick's M22-T Krayt Gunship on the plateau. Once he was finished powering down down his ship, Henoc exited the ship. As he walked towards his brother, he removed his helmet and carried under his left arm. He could feel the cold wind on his rough scarred face, the only noise that could be heard was the snow crunching beneath his boots as he approached Orrick. He watched as the Crusader-Class corvettes settled into position and proceeded to send people and materials down to the Academy to be begin the process of retrofitting it into their Mandalorian Enclave. His father, Harnoc, was being sent to help oversee the construction of their farming settlement on the outskirts of Thani.

In the months following Clan Awaud's settlement on Telos, the Telosian Jedi Academy had been refitted to support life. Living quarters, training rooms, a com relay, kitchens and a central hangar bay where they would accommodate the freighters that would haul their harvest. It had been a challenge, but nothing worth it in life ever came without a bit of difficulty. The main thing is, they were happy, prospering and secure in their chosen destination.

Since Clan Awaud's arrive on Telos, they convert the old Telosian Jedi Academy to their main enclave. Henoc spent the months going to the farming settlement to check on its progress and back to the Enclave to report in. On the odd days that he wasn't traveling he spent in the training rooms, honing his own skills and helping train the new recruits. It was during one of these training sessions that Henoc met one of the trainers, named Ziva. After their first meeting both Henoc and Ziva grew closer to each other. They even took a few recruits on a hunt, Ziva wore her armor and so did Henoc. They hunted a herd of wild warbeasts known as Drexl, these beasts had gotten too to their farming settlement. Henoc, Ziva and the recruits quickly dispatched the Drexl before any lasting damage could be done to the farming settlement. Following that hunt, Ziva could almost always be found by Henoc's side.

Despite the cold, life continued on here, within the old Telosian Jedi Academy. Mandalorian Clan Awaud had settled in, retrofitting the Academy to house the main clan. Other smaller settlements had cropped up here and there, but here and the Farms on Thani's outskirts were the two primary locations that Clan Awaud occupied.

In the time that followed Henoc and Ziva's first meeting and the hunt they did with a few recruits, Henoc named Ziva his second and the two of them grew even closer. When ever they were both at the enclave they were always with each other. Most of the other Mandalorians within Clan Awaud did not care about Henoc's and Ziva's relationship, in fact most said that they made each other stronger and more fierce than before.

Breaking through the upper reaches of Telos' atmosphere, Brayark got his first look at the Awaud Enclave. It was the former Jedi Academy hidden within the polar region. I guess reusing what was here is better than building from scratch, he thought to himself. Piloting the craft down to the snow covered mesa, the Fang Fighter finally settled down at its designated landing area. Powering down the craft, Brayark ensured his weapons were securely fastened to his person before hitting the canopy release. With a hiss as the pressure equalized, a wash of frigid air greeted him. Shrugging it off, Brayark climbed out of the craft. Boots crunching in the snow as he hit the ground, he noticed several Awaud Clan members approaching him, with one man in the center wearing red and black beskar'gam with a black hand print across his buy'ce. Waiting for them to approach him, rather than pushing his way to them, he merely observed them as they approached.

Henoc, Ziva and a handful of armed Awaud guards approached The Aliit'alor of clan Vizsla. Henoc and his entourage stopped a few feet before the Vizsla Aliit'alor. Henoc waited a brief moment or too before speaking.
Aliit'alor, it's good to meet you. What business brings someone like yourself here?
Henoc didn't really need Vizsla to answer as he could almost guess why, but an Aliit'alor deserved a certain amount of respect no matter what clan they belonged to and since his brother was away on Clan business it was his responsibility to meet with and deal with anyone who wanted a meeting with Clan Awaud.

Nodding his head in acknowledgement, Brayark replied to his comrade's question. I am seeking support. Though I am reluctant to reveal for what, vod. Is the aliit'alor here? I wished to speak with him concerning sensitive matters. Being a part of Death Watch certainly made him a more cautious man, especially right now, as there were many in the past that had taken what Death Watch stood for and corrupted it, becoming nothing more than common thugs and terrorists. Brayark wasn't a terrorist. He still believed in a code and he respected his fellow Mandalorians, though they had been very peaceful for far too long. They were growing stagnant and that needed to change. Hopefully his brethren would see his viewpoint and offer their aid.

Henoc figured that the Aliit'alor of Clan Vizsla wished to speak with the Aliit'alor of Clan Awaud. He thought briefly before answering Vizsla.
The Aliit'alor of Clan Awaud is away on clan business, I however as his second have the authority to speak with you on his behalf.
Henoc moved closer to Vizsla and extended a hand to the man.
I Henoc Awaud of Clan Awaud, welcome you to our enclave.

Nodding and accepting the hand offered, Brayark shook Henoc's hand. Brayark Vizsla. Releasing his grip on Henoc's hand, Brayark looked around, the spoke once more. Do you have somewhere we could speak privately, vod? At the moment, the beginnings of a new Death Watch movement were still in the works, so he needed to tread carefully. Previous iterations of the group had painted a bad image of what was related to Death Watch. So speaking away from the common folk was best for now, at least until Brayark himself, knew where Clan Awaud stood on the matter.

Henoc was a tad bit curious about what Brayark Vizsla would want to discuss in private, his gut told him that he should definitely take him seriously as it could be beneficial to his clan. Although he also had a feeling that whatever it was that he want to talk about could have a negative effect on the clan as well. Not wanting to waste any more time, Henoc quickly answered Brayrak's question.
We can speak inside of the enclave, the old jedi council chamber has been renovated into a meeting room that Clan Awaud's Aliit'alor will meet with those that wish to speak with him.
With that Henoc, Ziva and the armed Awaud guards turned back toward the enclave and proceeded to show Brayrak to the meeting room.

Nodding, Brayark fell into step behind Henoc and the armed escort. Hopefully the meeting would go smoothly, as he had no ill intentions here. It remained to be seen how Clan Awaud would take the news of Vizsla reviving Death Watch.

Once Henoc, Ziva and their guest had entered the newly renovated Council chambers, now Clan Awaud's meeting room, Henoc motioned for Awaud's guest to take a seat. Once Brayark is seated Henoc would then take his seat and then they could begin the meeting.

Following the members of Clan Awaud, Brayark removed his buy'ce and placed it on the table, revealing a youthful looking, clean shaven face. The blonde haired male seated himself at the table and inclined his head respectfully to Henoc. "I appreciate you taking the time to hear me out, vod. And once I explain why I am here, you will understand my cautious approach..." Brayark trailed off, waiting for Henoc to ask the usual questions. After all, he was here to seek help, not the other way around. He wasn't about to overstep his boundaries here.

Henoc take his seat at the table and removed his helmet, revealing his heavily scarred face to the Aliit'alor of Clan Vizsla. He listened as Brayark began to explained why he was here, Henoc had a gut feeling of what it could be but until he heard it himself he would ignore the feeling.
"Please continue Aliit'alor."

Taking in the heavily scarred face of Henoc, Brayark continued. Retrieving a heavily tarnished Kar'ta Beskar from his belt, he held it between his thumb and index finger of his right hand. Scratched into the heart was the Clan Vizsla emblem of old, a stylized jai'galaar in mid-dive, colored red. "This is why I tread carefully, vod. Not many think too kindly of who and what I represent..." Placing the heart on the table, he slid it over to Henoc with a flick of his wrist, still maintaining eye contact with the scarred warrior. The Kar'ta Beskar, or Iron Heart, was originally from his ancestor, Pre Vizsla's armor. Provided Henoc knew what it was and what it meant, things would either escalate from here, or Henoc would politely tell him to leave. At this point, Brayark wasn't entirely sure which way things would go between them.
