Since Harnan had asked invited her to join him on this trip, she had truly doubted her decision to accept. Though it would help her greatly in her training, get her away from the planet for a while and offer her a little fun along the way, her mental state had not been the healthiest of late. Her relationship with Harnan had become very complicated, she had wanted the no strings attached relationship he had offered her, at the time it had made sense for it offered her no complications, no obligation yet, at the same time it gave her the closeness and comfort she so desired, it also had alleviated her boredom and loneliness she suffered in the evenings when alone.
There was no point in time when Kary could pin point precisely when she had begun to develop a more emotional attachment to Harnan, it had happened so slowly she had not noticed it, but now her feelings had grown so deep that they consumed and tormented her all at the same time. She now hated Illaria, blaming her for being the one thing that stood in the way of them being together. She knew that it was perhaps illogical and that the blame led firmly at Harnans door, but for Kary, she was unable to blame him, she found it impossible. There were times when she was so full of hate for him, more so when they were in the company of Illaria, yet the time would come when they were all alone and her hate would dissipate and she would feel nothing but love and gratitude for him just simply being with her. Truth be told, she hated herself deeply for being so weak and vulnerable.
She had cleared all she had needed from both his room and her own and had placed it all in its place upon her ship, the so aptly named PoS (Piece of Shit) for she was constantly having to service it, but once serviced it ran like a dream. Her finances were such that she could easily afford to replace it but she did not have the heart to, it was her first ship and she loved it, despite often being found cursing at it loudly. It had been serviced the morning before they had left and it had preformed just as she knew it would, perfectly.
She had settled the ship down planet side. Yes, she was piloting, of course, this was her domain and no one, not even Harnan would have been allowed to take control here. Her hands skimmed over the controls with such expertise that she barely had to look before moving onto the next set of controls. As the last of the controls were deactivated, she turned to Harnan with a smile that only he could bring to her eyes, it was one that fully belied the turmoil of what was truly going on in her mind, for he knew nothing of her feelings, nor would she ever confess to them for she knew that if she did, he would never look at her again and that was indeed her deepest fear, if this was the only way she could be with him then so be it…
Ready, AaA?

Harnan and Kary's affair had been going on for some time now. What had started as little more than a game in a bar all those months ago, had turned into... something else. What exactly that something else was, he could not be certain. It was more than just a Teacher-Apprentice relationship. After all, the pair had been sleeping together for the last few months. Something which had brought him a certain amount of satisfaction, considering how their first encounter had ended. But it had also acted as a perfect distraction from his feelings for Illaria, and the ever looming question of just who exactly was the father.
When he had learned that Illaria was pregnant, he had broached the subject with her. The news had been not long after Dubrillion, where his darker desires had taken hold of him. She had managed to dissuade him from pressing the point. And whilst he had dropped the matter, the question still loomed over him. Had his actions lead to Illaria getting pregnant. Was she about to give birth to his children, that were about to be raised by the one man he hated more than any other. Or had he merely forced himself upon Illaria, and that was all.
He was able to forget all about that when he was with Kary. Illaria, the kids, the Knights of Ren, the First Order. None of that mattered. His whole world was focused into just them. It was a refreshing feeling, and for the briefest of moments, instead of Illaria, it was Kary who he had feelings for. It was Kary whom he gained his pleasure from. And she was always so willing to give herself to him.
It was these moments, that had allowed him to trust her more. In fact, it was the reason he had invited her along to Telos IV. Not only because it would present a good opportunity to train her, but also because it would give them some time alone. Well more alone, than risking being found by one of their brothers or sisters back on Muunilinst or aboard the Resurgence. It was already giving him time to think on the little nagging feeling that was pestering him.
It had been happening for a little while now, and he wasn't sure what exactly it was. But it seemed to be growing, the longer he was with Kary. It was mere curiosity that had driven him, to find out just what it was exactly. And this trip would help to answer that question. Plus, it would be a nice chance to see just how far Kary had come in her training. And whether or not he could trust her. After all, he had only ever really told Atlantia about the objects he sought. Soon though, Kary would also be privy to such a secret.
Harnan rose from the co-pilot seat, the place where he had spent most of the trip over, when they weren't laying naked together after enjoying one another's company. Even if the craft had not belonged to Kary, Harnan would have been in the co-pilot seat, since he still lacked any piloting skill. As she turned to him, he pulled her in close, his right arm wrapping around her waist and pulling her close, his lips meeting hers in a passionate embrace, before he smiled at her, his hand brushing aside a stray strand of her hair Always, Loth-Kitty. But first, a change of clothes is in order... With that, he let go of his hold of her and exited the cockpit, to change out of the shirt and pants he had been wearing on the trip over. He quickly donned his usual suit of armour, which gave him a slightly more imposing appearance. He walked down the ramp with Kary at his side, as he slotted the helmet on over his head. The HUD took only a moment to boot up - having done so by the time he stepped off the ramp. He then turned his head slightly and regarded Kary, his voice being processed through the helmet speakers I suppose it is time that I told you why we are here... This is no mere training exercise... And isn't just a chance to steal a few moments alone with you...

Kary knew he held this effortless power over her, when she was with him she did not care, but when they were apart she resented it and resented him for having the ability to make her resolve crumble. There had been times of recent when she had resolved that she was going to end their relationship to try and end her turmoil, she wanted the pain to stop. She enjoyed it when he was like this. It was not just the physical side of the relationship, but it was how he made her feel when they were alone. He made her feel like the centre of his world and that she was worthy of him. He made her laugh until she cried and her stomach hurt. He made her feel as she was able to achieve anything she set her mind to. But more importantly, he made her feel as if she belonged and had purpose. When they left the room, everything changed. That was when everything would change. It was then that something would change within him. His mood would become hard, unrelenting and harsh, almost to the point of cold and soulless, but that was nothing compared to when they were in the company of Illaria. Kary was able to cope with him when he was this way, not that she liked it, she was able to explain it away as when they were outside the room, he was at work. When they were in the company of Illaria it felt physically painful. It felt as if she did not exist, he lacked the decency to even pretend to be mindful of the fact that after an evening with Illaria he would take her to his bed pretending she were her, she felt the change in how he was with her though could not quite explain how. It was on these nights when he had fallen asleep that she felt dirty and used, but that was nothing to turmoil of which her mind would tumble into. With every small glance he gave Illaria, her heart would be ripped a fresh and in that moment, her hate for them both were unrelenting, but still, he would escort her back to his room and she would let him do whatever he needed to do, such was the depth of her feelings for him. But even when he was like this, when he was all hers and at his best deep in the back of her mind was the darkness of a great storm brewing gathering momentum almost on a daily basis.
At times like this she swallowed it all down and enjoy the moment. In an instant she was overcome with the giddiness of a young woman in love, when he pulled her to him she giggled with mischievousness, it was a laugh he would have heard many times over when having surprised her, she fell against him and almost trembled at his touch as he wrapped his arm around her, naturally her arms wrapped around his shoulders with her hands travelling into his hair at the base of his skull whilst her fingers entwined themselves into it. As his lips found hers her eyes closed and she moaned his name softly into his mouth for his kisses pulled at something quite carnal deep within her.
hmmmm, Harnan
It was only as the kiss ended did she open her eyes and returned his smile, her eyes betraying her hunger for more, she wanted to be back in her bed and entwined once more. She leant into his hand and chuckled loudly at the use of her newly given pet name.
Once he released his hold of her she slapped the right cheek of his bottom and proceeded to change her clothing herself, gone were her flight clothes and she wore once more what she referred to as her work attire. Once she had stepped off the ramp she secured the ship whilst nodding her head in acknowledgment of his words, the last of which she chuckled at whilst clutching her hands over her heart.
I had hoped you were taking me away for a naughty for a weekend of naughtiness, which is why I failed to pack anything other than lingerie. However, now you have so brutally ruined that illusion for me, please do tell me why we are here, you have peaked my curiosity.

Harnan had almost resisted as she moaned his name. Almost. But his resolve had crumbled before her in that moment. Strengthening his hold on her, he had taken her up against the nearest wall devoid of controls. It was only a short session before he spent himself inside her. But it had been enough to satisfy his hunger for her in that moment. That was always how it was between them. He hungered for that primal connection, and he got it sated either by forcing Azria to suffer his darkest delights, or Kary giving herself to him willingly. She never once complained, not even when he had lost control with her.
He had seen the bruises and injuries he had inflicted on her the morning after each time. He had gone to apologise to her once, but when she had awoke and smiled at him, he had stopped. Something about the look she gave him. It was the same look she always gave him - whether it was after a good night, or when he was just holding her close. She always smiled for him, and it always made him feel welcome. Like his actions were always above reproach.
It made him feel whole again, even for the briefest of moments. But he was all too aware of the growing darkness that was continually threatening to consume more of him. Even now, its corrupting effects were all too visible, as the yellow at the edge of his eyes had grown somewhat. He was certain that Kary had undoubtedly noticed it. Even Azria and Illaria had probably seen it too.
He had then removed himself from her, giving her forehead a light kiss, before heading off to get changed.
As she joked about being hopeful for a weekend of naughtiness, he smiled behind his helmet. He then did something he had rarely done before, reaching out his gloved hand and resting it upon her cheek, before leaning his head forward a little Patience Kitty. This weekend away may yet provide us with time for more later tonight, if we are lucky... Hopefully you shall still have some lingerie left by the time we are done... With that, he moved his hand away and motioned her to follow him. He lead the way out of the spaceport, with their beat up ship and armoured looking attired leading many to believe they were little more than bounty hunters. When they arrived out to an observation deck of the spaceport - which looked out over the city - he stopped and looked. Telos IV had come a long way in its restoration, since he had seen it last We're here on something of a treasure hunt for items from my past... Well, not my past specifically, but that of Zakuul. Under the rule of Valkorion and Arcann, a number of artefacts were made and imbued with the dark side. They become objects of power and knowledge. But they were a closely guarded secret, and knowledge of their existence was limited to but a few... Even now, only myself and Atlantia know of them. And now, you can count yourself amongst those ranks... I'm telling you, because I trust you Kary... He then turned to face her, placing his thumb and forefinger on her chin as he looked down into her eyes from behind his lifeless looking mask And I know that you won't betray me... But even so, I must ask, are you with me? Because, whilst it may sound like fun and games, this quest will be filled with danger. The Jedi will undoubtedly stand in our way, whether they know what we seek or not. It will be us, against them...

She had known that saying his name would have been his undoing and she had delighted in that, for even after he had given her what she wanted and he needed herm her cheeks had a subtle glow and there was a sense of calmness about her now. She just seemed to move more freely whilst appearing lighter mentally. It gave her not only what she desired on a physical level but also mentally. Her desire for control was sated in this instance when she had lost it in all other aspects of her life.
For Kary there were some essentials for her to function, these were control, order and logic; with these in her life she needed nothing else. When Elias she had lost Elias, not only had she lost her father but she had lost her world, without him she had no purpose and entirely alone for the first time in her life. To try and stop the pain of his loss and to fill the void she threw herself into her work as she desperately clung to the little logic and order she had left in her life and for a time it was enough. When it was not, she had been lucky enough to have been given a place within the Knights of Ren and only then did she feel, even if only slightly, that she belonged. Linc was for the most part responsible for this. He appeared to take great pleasure in tormenting her and playing with her mind. It was with sadistic glee that he referred to her as ‘Harnans plaything’, unless in the presence of Illaria when he would refer to her only as Kary, he would smirk at her slyly when she, Harnan and Illaria were together, it was a smirk that told her she would never be who Harnan truly desired and that she was nothing more than his cock mitten. For these reasons she never she felt she truly belonged. He forced her daily to face her darkest inner fears for he had found the ability to look into her soul and draw out each of her insecurities and use them against her despite her greatest attempts to prevent it. Since her feelings for Harnan this had been made all the worse for her had managed to destroy the very shreds of Order, security, self belief and control she had managed to cling to and it had left her broken.
His response to her saying his name was the one shred of control he had left her with, through the eye slits of his HUD Kary was able to see the smile in his eyes but that had not prepared her for him placing his hand upon her cheek. Such intimacy from him when they were not naked was rare, so rare in fact she could only remember it having happened several times before, her breath caught in her throat as she looked upon his curiously and unable to hide the shock in her eyes, such was the shock of the moment that she had not truly heard what he had said.
The moment was over and it was back to the reason for the trip and she was intrigued as to the reason for it. She was no more than two steps behind as he led her to observation deck. She stood silently, patiently and listening intently as he revealed all to her. The job itself sounded a lot like those of her life before the Knights, though on a grander scale, so she knew the serious nature of the matter and knew that it sounded far more simple than it had first appeared, but these challenges she enjoyed but also knew there was a limit with which you could prepare yourself for such things for you never knew what you would be facing.
As he revealed that no others than herself and Atlantia knew of this plan she found herself speechless, and that was not something that happened to her often.
With his thumb and forefinger holding her chin she looked at him through the eye slits of his HUD, so when he expressed his confidence in her loyalty, she shook her head gently as if subconsciously assuring him that she would never go against him, and she couldn’t even entertain the thought of doing so. There was no hesitation as he asked her if she were with him, it was the first she had said since leaving the ship...
Always, you need never ask that question of me. I understand the dangers and accept them fully.
She smiled but this one was different, this smile he would not have seen since the first time they had met in the bar the one she had when testing to see how far she could push Linc, This smile was the smile she had when she was placed in a dangerous situation. Since the loss of Elias she had found a reckless excitement when faced with such dangers, not that she ever acknowledged it to herself or to others. Perhaps subconsciously she was trying to tempt death or maybe she was just trying to feel something to make her feel alive again.

He knew she would stand with him. She always had. It was this reason he had told her about this quest, and had said nothing to Illaria or Lincoln, or any of his fellow Knights of Ren. He knew Illaria would dissuade him from it, her stance on him seeking out items from his past quite clear. Lincoln would have undoubtedly ratted him out to Illaria. And the others. They would have informed the Master of the Knights. And that was the last person Harnan wanted learning of his quest. What he could learn from and use these items for was not a thought he wanted to entertain.
He then pressed the point of his helmet where his lips would be to Kary's forehead, before letting go of her chin. Something about the look of desire in her eyes made him never want to let go. Whether that was because a part of him deep down yearned for more with someone else, or simply because he knew it made her happy, he was not certain. But he knew now was not the time for such indulgence.
With that sorted, he lead the way off the viewing platform and out into the city. Thanks to a page that Atlantia had acquired for him, Harnan was aware of one of the relics he sought being here. Or at least, its last recorded location was on Telos IV anyway. Whether it was still here or not, was a mystery, but a mystery they had to investigate none-the-less. If it had been moved, then he was certain there would be some record of it. But first, they needed to acquire some form of transportation to get to their destination. And he had brought enough credits for them to borrow a cheap speeder with no questions asked.
Before long, they were making their way out of Thani, heading to the Telosian Jedi Temple. There, he would be able to put his attention on something a little more simple. At least, for a short amount of time anyway. Though, he knew he could never fully escape what haunted him. His decisions. His actions. His questions. And the unknown of what was to come

Awaud Farms - Thani Outskirts.
The building of a large settlement and the tilling of fields was hard work. But the members of Clan Awaud knew how to persevere and overcome adversity. Having done so for centuries, starting a new life on Telos was relatively easy by comparison to what some of their ancestors had accomplished. Regardless, the Clan was now established on Telos. While the locals hadn't exactly appreciated a Mandalorian clan moving in, they had begun to accept them and trade began to flourish between the natives of Telos and the newly arrived Mandalorians. Some of the more energetic clan members even managed to find work as security officers within Thani. Others shipped out with freighter crews as hired muscle. They would eventually find their way back home, they always did. But for now, the settlement upon Telos had been successful. Clan Awaud would continue to thrive and prosper.

Awaud Farms - Thani Outskirts.
Having finished speaking with the head of the farms outside Thani, Orrick simply watched for a few moments. His people were happy. Building a life, and a future for themselves. It was in this moment, that he was grateful. War was in his blood. Win or lose, it was the glory of battle that drove him. But it didn't have to drive all of them. If his people were content to build a life, free from war, he would accept that and do everything in his power to ensure it came to pass. Despite his past, his duty was to his people, first and foremost. Should Mandalore call, he and his clan would answer. But this was more important. Women, children, families, all working together, building their community and integrating with the locals. Prospering without oppressive rule. Free to do as they wished. As it should be. Casting one last look out over the fields and his people, Orrick placed his helmet on his head and made his way over to his speeder bike. It was time to return to the main settlement in the polar region...

Continuing on as usual, the farms continued to plant, grow and harvest crops and maintain a few animals. Under the watchful eyes of a few clan elders, everything continued on as it should.

Setting the Kom'rk-class fighter, the Onora, down at the assigned coordinates it had been given by Telos IV's traffic controller, Torin Bralor shuts the ship's engines down and lowers the boarding ramp after performing an abbreviated post-flight routine with his co-pilot, Molan Bralor.
Moments later, the two Mandalorians, both in green hued beskar'gam with black detailing, disembark from their ship and wait at the foot of the boarding ramp to be met by whomever will be sent to bring them to the meeting they have requested with the Aliit'alor of Clan Awaud.

Awaud Farms - Thani Outskirts.
The Mandalorian agricultural compound had been a formerly abandoned factory on the outskirts of Thani. Formerly an assembly plant of some kind, it had been shut down and inert for many years. With the arrival of Clan Awaud, the factory was brought back to life, this time for the purpose of helping aid the farming efforts of the clan. Sections were divided up and devoted to grain processing, livestock processing, machinery repairs and storage. The rest of the complex had been converted into living quarters, a mess hall and landing platforms. The sentries posted near the platforms snapped to attention as Orrick approached them. The new arrivals, members from Clan Bralor, required his personal touch. The red and black armored Mandalorian strode up the platform ramp towards the green hued compatriots.
"Morutar at Awaud Garsa, Ha'yr Bralor."
Not normally one to dive into fully speaking their native tongue, Orrick greeted them this way as a sign of respect.
"What brings you all the way out to our little corner of the galaxy?"
Welcoming of all, Orrick had no intentions of turning the visiting Bralors away. Though their unscheduled visit was a bit of an anomaly to the regular routine around here.

As Orrick approaches, Torin removes his buy'ce, tucking it beneath his left arm and walks out to meet him, Molan following suite while keeping a pace behind and to Torin's right hand side. Nodding when Orrick welcomes them, Torin extends a hand to shake with him as he replies in Mando'a, "Su cuy'gar, vod. Vor entye par gar olarom."
Running his right hand over his closely cropped gray and blonde hair after Orrick asks what has brought him here, Torin, a fit, spry looking sixty five year old human, explains in Mando'a in his customarily straightforward and unadorned way, "The Mand'alor has appointed me wartime admiral for the Mando'ade. As such, he continues, with no self-importance evidenced in his tone or posture, only an obvious, fervent determination to see that the Mando'ade as a whole are made as strong as they can be, I've been traveling to the worlds held by the Mando'ade to take stock of the orbital defenses in place. Sure that Orrick will be able to fill in the rest of the blanks himself, Torin gestures as he briefly summarizes what it is that he is assessing, The Mand'alor and I want to ensure that the worlds held by the Mando'ade all have the ships, crews, supplies and equipment needed to defend themselves should the need arise, or to heed the call to battle should it be sounded."
After pausing to give Orrick a moment to take in what has been said, and to consider what it is Clan Awaud might need from Manda'yaim or elsewhere in terms of their own fleet, Torin asks, "So then, vod, what can you tell me about the current state of Telos IV's defense fleet and its present state of readiness? Is there anything it is lacking that I can look in to procuring?"

Nodding in acknowledgment of what Torin was saying, Orrick replied with the current readiness of the Awaud fleet.
"Clan Awaud's fleet stands ready and able to serve, vod. I have made it a priority to ensure the fleet is in good repair, officers and enlisted men and women are trained and rotated out in shifts to prevent overtaxing them, and Citadel Station is scheduled for several refits to allow for a more defensive posture, should be need it. The Telosian government is currently reviewing our requests to bolster the Station's security and defense teams as well."
Retrieving his datapad, Orrick called up the current stats of his fleet and the readiness of his people, should Mand'alor call upon them. Handing it over to Torin, he spoke once more.
"I am no naval warfare expert, so any improvements that can be made would be appreciated. Here, this contains all the relevant information you seek."

Not particularly verbose by nature, Torin's initial response to Orrick's statements regarding Telos IV's fleet with a nod accompanied by a grunt, the expression accompanying the nonverbal reply making it evident that Torin is more than satisfied, even impressed, by Clan Awaud's state of naval readiness. Accepting the datapad when Orrick offers it for his perusal, Torin reviews the information in silence for a moment.
Handing the datapad back to Orrick, Torin smiles as he says plainly and with no traces of false flattery, "You're too modest, vod. Your fleet composition, and all you've described about how it is maintained, suggests to me that you're more expert than you believe where naval warfare is concerned. Preparation and maintenance are one thing, Torin knows, where performance in battle is often another matter entirely, often determined more by experience, cleverness, and other factors not as easily assessed as more tangible factors, and so he asks to gauge what he can of the more intangibles, Has your fleet ever participated any actions other than routine patrols?"

Orrick nods briefly."Indeed. Three skirmishes at Vlemoth Port, our ancestral homeworld. Pirates and raiders mostly. One seemingly lost Sith battlegroup, but aside from that, no. We maintain our borders and boundaries. We don't go looking for a fight, though we will finish it."Honestly, it wasn't much, in terms of experience against other foes. Pirates and raiders, while dangerous, were more of a nuisance than anything else. The Sith battlegroup might have posed a problem, had it been kept up. But the decrepit vessels of an ancient Sith stood little chance against the well organized Awaud fleet.

Awaud Farmstead - Thani Outskirts
Tobias Awaud, a supercommando left in charge of the defense of the farmstead just outside the settlement of Thani. Scattered reports of an invading enemy force near the Awaud Enclave began trickling in. It was troubling. However, he was busy organizing whatever forces they had around Thani in preparation, should the enemy forces make a move. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that, but there was no telling what would happen at this point. All Tobias could do was prepare.

Diarchy Battledroids, AT-AT walkers, AT-ST walkers, and XR-85 tank droid's came deployed from orbit, their landing positions having been secured at strategic locations around Thani thanks to the efforts of the Diarchy Storm Commando's. Instead of deploying and approaching from one angle, their commander had split the force into almost a dozen groups. What ever organised remnants that remained in Thani would likely have a hard time defending against such a strategy.
In terms of air support, a handful of Martillo-class Missile Boats were deployed high in the air, using their long range missiles to keep themselves as far beyond the cities defensive guns as possible as they targetted key military targets. TIE/Li's ran defensive formations around the Martillo's. TIE/Fz Fortaleza's and TIE/Do Dominador's were split up to advance with the ground forces

The Diarchy forces continued to move the front line closer and closer to Thani. The Mandalorians did their best to hold the line while shuttle after shuttle took to the sky and headed for orbit. The fighters and bombers kept their targets on the military installations and defences, engaging only the enemy fighter craft. There was no need, nor desire, to spill unnecessary blood on this day. The Mandalorians were not meant to be there, and the Diarchy was far from set on provoking the Assembly at large more than this invasion probably had already.
As the Mandalorian forces began pulling back into the city, the Diarchy forces pushed further and further in. Soon the last of the Mando's had loaded aboard their transports and had made toward orbit to escape Telos IV. At which point the Diarchy forces secured Thani, with medical aide being flown down and dispersed throughout to tend to any civilians that had become collateral damage during the bombings and attack. Soon all of Telos IV would bow to the Diarchy and be secured by its protection

In the days and weeks since Telos IV was secured by the Diarchy, more and more Stormtroopers were landed upon the planet and garrisoned within Thani. A new Imperial Administration Center began being constructed, while the former Governmental Offices were used by the Diarchy Officials that were to oversee Talos IV's progress. Many of them only serving provisionally until a Moff was placed in charge of the Agri World. The potential food crisis that had been lingering at the edges of the Diarchy had been solved before it became too widespread a problem for them to simply ignore
