*To be completely truthful, even the Harbinger itself had doubts about this fight. It was egotistical to a fault, completely overconfident, yet it wondered whether it could take this Jedi. He was far too innovative, far too flexible, and far too hated.. and hatred had a way of clouding judgment.
It, of course, would never admit this, though.*
*She smiled, twirling the lightsaber from side to side, slowly beginning to walk forward, and with each step, the ground beneath her feet lit up. When she spoke, it was twofold: her voice emerged from her lips, yet it echoed in his head as well.*
[[Why don't you find out?]]
*The ground was lighting up because with every footfall, the veins of Corruption underneath her were coming alive again, responding to the Harbinger's call, seeping upwards. Her clothes were already Corrupted, so it wasn't hard for the pathogen to penetrate her boots and move into her body, lacing outward across her skin in a crisscross pattern, slowly but surely condensing into a solid mass.
A new layer of armor was growing on the Sword of the Corruption, and though it might slow her movements somewhat, it would soon be dense enough that, while it would not stop the blades powered by Corrupted lambent crystals, it would at the very least provide additional protection against them. She would not be invulnerable; he would just have to work that little bit more to get through.*
*He was a quick study, though, and as soon as her boots started flaring, she knew he wouldn't give her the chance to build up anymore. It made little difference; every time she touched the floor, she would gain that much more protection.
So, she had to stop him before he had a chance to stop her.
She clenched her left fist, then lunged at him, her blade held back and low; when she got within striking range, she stepped forward with her right foot, swinging her blade forward in an upward slash.. but when her foot touched the ground, she pushed herself back, her blade falling short and her fist coming forward and opening, launching another pulse of Corruption at the Jedi. She brought her hand back around to hold the saber (now off to her side) in a double-handed grip, then pushed herself forward again in earnest, swinging the blade in a wide horizontal slash across his center line..*

He watched her foot falls upon the ground, the surge of glow, and as she no-doubt speculated herself, it took him barely a second to deduce what was going on.
He knew he'd have to stop her.
The Jedi shifted forward, meeting her approach with one of his own, and his right hand blade swept across the line of his body, angled slightly up in it's motion from pure horizontal, to deflect her strike, in a move that would throw him into a swift spin-step movement. It was a feint on her part, however, and her back-step and lean kept his block from having any great effect.
Worse, the nature of his block had rendered his ability to defend himself from her blast with her other hand. He cursed himself internally for leaving himself exposed - just because the Echo had not demonstrated incredible speed or co-ordination enough to use the full potential of the Guardian's body, didn't mean that potential didn't exist. He needed to be more cautious - a full on Ataru approach, the like of which he had opened with from the Soresu stance in an effort to catch her off guard, was a difficult thing to use well in the cramped confines of the chamber they were in, and on this occasion, it was not working as well for him as he supposed.
Dav's spin twisted him, taking him out of the path of the worst of the blast, but it still clipped the back of his right shoulder, and, through the Corrupted Lambents he possessed that granted him an insight into that darkest of minds, he could feel the glee of the insidious pathogen as the residue it left upon him begun to spread across his coat shoulder.
Additionally, the force of the blast had altered his spin, throwing him slightly off of his original balance and forcing him to adjust his stance. He dropped, falling from left-foot to left-knee, landing knee on the ground to the outside of the Echo's left-foot as he did so. As a result, he completed the momentum of his spin upon that knee, and swept his left hand lightsaber through an arc that would sweep the Corruption off of it's feet, impacting with her on the back of her legs and threatening dismemberment.
He was aware, though, that all the while, with every fraction of a second that passed, the Corruption crawled up his shoulder.
He faced a new enemy. One with abilities unlike anything or anyone else in the Galaxy, one even somewhat unlike the enemy he faced in that same body mere moments earlier, or his previous battle with the Corruption's collective mind on Helska, all those years ago. The combination of that body and that mind, the abilities of both together, was deadly.
Mind of the Collective. Body of the Guardian. Definitely got the potential to be good enough. Need to be more careful.

*She was stuck moving forward; she wasn't going for a feint this time, and as such her momentum was not so easily stopped. It could, however, be shifted. She was already in the process of swinging her blade, but now the angle and distance were all wrong. So, instead of using the double-handed grip provided by her left hand to add power to her lightsaber swing, she used the momentum of her lightsaber swing to add power to her left hand. When her right foot came down, she let go of the weapon once more, her right hand stopping just before the conclusion of the swing while her left hand thrust out, aiming at the Jedi's face. The sudden shift in her movement caused her to pivot, her left foot coming up off the ground.. and that was when his blade struck home.
It should have cleaved straight through the back of her right leg and her uplifted left foot.
It should have left her crippled, unable to walk, open for the kill.
It didn't.*
*The Corruption had been growing inside of her, all around her, but the living armor was, naturally, stronger closer to the ground. Dav Man'Sell wielded lightsabers powered with Corrupted lambent crystals, capable of penetrating the pathogen's defenses, but the stronger the armor, the more layered it had become, the more difficult it would be to break through. It could still be done, but a single swift stroke would not slice through the entire armor coating.
Her legs were already protected in this way. Added to that was the fact that both she and the strike itself were moving in the same direction, so the relative velocity of the impact was lessened. As such, the lightsaber swing hit her, glanced off her left boot (which was already in the process of spinning forward and away in a clockwise turn) and impacted the back of her right knee. The blade cut into her flesh.. then stuck. The blow interrupted her pivot, destroying her balance and sending her crashing down hard, her left hand (which, during the pivot, had spun around till it was in front of her charge) breaking the fall for only a second before her body hit the floor, the impact with the ground knocking the blade out of her armor and violently tugging on the weapon itself.*
*She doubted he would have expected the strike to have that effect; the blade should not have stuck in her flesh like that. It hurt, but it was nothing she couldn't handle, nothing she hadn't handled before. She was flat on her back now, and the only sound that came from her was a snarl of animal rage, a snarl which quickly died down as she remembered: hatred had a way of clouding judgment, and she needed a clear head. He was but one Jedi, and she was infinite; she was the Collective. She rolled back over onto her left side, her saber held above her torso (it had been off to the side during her fall) to ward off any attacks, while her body focused on healing.
Considering the massive amount of contact she was making with the ground right now, it would be back to a hundred percent rather quickly. Besides, he had other things to worry about...*

One of the Anthem-class Star Cruiser's descended down and landed outside of the Massassi Arena. Saurians of different shapes and sizes poured out and quickly set to work securing the Arena. The place had not been particularly used a lot during its time under Jedi ownership. However, it was still an important site along with the surrounding area

Once the Arena was secured, builders and gardeners were brought in and begun work to restore the site. Where once the Sith had tainted this place with their darkness, the Jedi Lords would purify it and use it not for death and entertainment, but for training
