The Temple of Exar Kun was a Sith temple on Yavin 4. The Temple was situated on a volcanic island called the Isle of Kun in the middle of a deep lake and it could only be reached on foot by stepping stones. These were set a few centimeters beneath the surface of the water, which forced all who crossed them to approach the temple with their heads bowed, so they could watch their feet.
The temple itself was made from polished black-colored obsidian that was studded with corusca gems. It was etched with Sith hieroglyphics and pictographs, that translated as magic incantations to protect the temple and call doom to its defilers. At its apex was a large statue of the Sith Lord Exar Kun and outside, there was a small courtyard.
Inside, the temple had just one chamber and catacombs beneath it. These consisted of a number of chambers, interlinked by tunnels. The last chamber contained the sarcophagus of Exar Kun, where presumably his body was intended to be placed after his death, although it is unknown if this actually happened, as he fused his spirit into the very walls of the Yavin 4 temples—possibly taking his body too. The Temple was heavily damaged by Corran Horn in 11 ABY, shortly after the founding of the Jedi Praxeum and the final destruction of Kun's spirit.

The Mandalorians have brought war to the Galaxy once more. Under the leadership of Mand'alor ASHRAH INTALBO, and his General CORR VHETT, they have begun a campaign against the Galaxy's Force Users. The Jedi World of Yavin IV was the first hit, a strike at one of the greatest Jedi strongholds. The Mandalorians took YAVIN STATION, the mighty orbital defence platform, thanks to a brilliant infiltration strategy by DUKE AUSTRALIS, and under the order of Jedi Master DAV MAN'SELL, the Jedi forces retreated from orbit. With the Jedi fleets scattered, the Mandalorians took their attack to the surface.
However, the Jedi defences were not so easily overcome. With starfighter cover lead by Jedi Master JAGO PULASTRA, and ground defences overseen by Jedi Knight ADI MATANGO and Falleen strategist TZA'UAX, the Jedi were able to force the Mandalorians to withdraw to orbit. However, the defence is not without sacrifice - redeemed former Dark Sider DACE CONCORDIA, at the beginning of his path to reclaim the mantle of Jedi, was slain by the Mand'alor in bloody, vicious combat.
Now the Mandalorians are settling in for a long siege on the Praxeum, blockading the planet and seeking constantly to take out the shield generator and ion cannons that form the backbone of the Praxeum's defence. Dav, Jago, and the other resident Jedi of Yavin lead the hard fought and desperate defence, whilst Adi, working with Master WILL SON'TIR and Jedi Knight DIAMONTE TUHLUTE, and the Jedi Watchmen, seeks to prepare the Jedi, and the worlds of the Republic, for the inevitable assault to come....

A series of LAAT/c's and 20 LAAT/i's arrived to The Temple of Exar Kun, at which point the Gunships landed around the perimeter of the Temple. 300 Republic Clone Commando's disembarked from the LAAT/i's, taking the 30 BARC speeder's off as well before the LAAT/i's begun sky patrols. The LAAT/c's then deposited the 3 SPHA-T, 3 SPHA-I, 3 SPHA-V, 3 SPHA-C, 3 SPHA-M, 3 AV-7 Antivehicle Cannon's, 10 HAVw A6 Juggernaut's, 20 AT-TE's, 10 AT-RT's, and 30 TX-130 Saber-class fighter tank's. The SPHA's were position in a delta formation around the Temple's outter limits, with a AV-7 Cannon siutated at each of the tips. AT-TE's were placed on patrol routes around the interior edge of the Delta formation, whilst AT-RT's roamed the Temple grounds. The Juggernaut's were parked close to the Temple, ready to deploy at a moment's notice, same as the Saber-class fighter tank's. The Commando's did a sweep of the Temple, ensuring the GALSAF forces were cleared out and that there was no bugs or tracking chips, whilst technicians checked any of the computer systems to ensure there was no tampering and that all files were accounted for. They were not going to take any chances, and there was still a pending investigation into the disappearance of the Jedi here, so any and all information would need to be secured and copied across to the main Archives

An Anthem-class Star Cruiser descended upon an opening in the forest nearby to the Temple of Exar Kun. The Saurian forces unloaded from the craft and secured a perimeter around the lake since they had orders not to set foot any closer. It was a Sith Temple after all, and the last thing Titus wanted, was any of his people being unintentionally corrupted by it
