Dress uniforms? I'm afraid we don't have such a concept in my culture. Putting soldiers into fancy dress is wasteful... Beskar'gam was the only outfit Mandalorians needed. It offered protection and identity, they didn't need to look pretty for their leaders. She rolled her eyes, even as Akulas offered the backhanded comment I'll pass, thanks... So what's your plan now, huh? They'll be looking for me soon, if they aren't already. And you'd best have a plan for when they do find you...

The teenager bursts out laughing. OH Bishop Ordo! You and I are going to be good friends I think! I agree entirely... They are the worst things ever invented! Soldiers should get to be soldiers! And when on leave we should have outfits we can move and dance in! She stands up and brushes the crumbs off her hands, and clothes. I also like that you want to get things moving, I appreciate that. Well...She lightly claps her hands. Well I guess we have options, and they are all up to you. I know enough about Mandalorians to know that I can trust you to your word. First, you can refuse to help me in any way and tell me that you will swear vengeance on me. I will then be forced to kill you in cold blood and continue my search for my search... This is my least favorite option, by the way, please don't choose it. Next, you can refuse to help me, but say that you won't be a problem for me. I will leave you tied up here with the fire going and a ration bar, your friends will find you and save you. They will know you had been bested, and look at you as such. Also, not my favorite option. And a third option, this one is my favorite! You agree to help me, I give you back your gear and you bring me into your camp as a friend. Your defeat would be our secret, no need to bring it up to anyone. It's up to you really.

Akulas was certainly.. something. Bishop would be glad once this whole ordeal was over and she could get back to doing her job. There was just something a little grating about hearing her full name every time the girl addressed her I wouldn't be so sure we'll be best friends... Bishop shifted her position a little, working out some kinks that were building up from her previous position. She listened as Akulas then laid out her plan for what could happen next, two of the options being non-starters as far as Bishop was concerned. She wasn't about to swear vengeance against a teenager and be killed while she was bound. And she was also aware of the silent standing orders between the members of Absolution Company not to interfere with any potential trainee Damocles was going to meet. Favouritism was not something Damocles accepted and would result in either that Ori'ramikad's suspension of duty or the trainee being dismissed and their fee returned I'm afraid if your plan hinged upon me helping, you would do well to immediately begin rethinking it. I can't help, for the good of us both, assuming you are here to train with him... You'll have to leave me here... The green T-visor on Damocles' helmet lit up as he approached the camp from the shadows at the edge of the light cast by the campfire. Not long after Bishop had been reported as missing, tech's had checked her armour tracking device and pinpointed her location. Damocles had set out with a pair of Absolution Company's best sharpshooters to track down their wayward Vod. The pair of shooters had taken up posts atop a rise behind the direction Damocles was making his approach from I don't think that will be necessary... Pretty impressive work on your own kid. Not many can subdue an Ori'ramikad single handedly. I assume you're alone anyway, unless you've got some back shooters hidden away up in the hills?

She of course did not, but Akulas was not sure who this guy was. Any seed of doubt she could plant would be a good one, Shooters? Well I am not sure that would be the best classification. Given that you have not killed me already is enough to make sure my assets put off action. Bishop Ordo though... She points at the still bound and armorless soldier I can confirm that was a solo effort. As, unfortunately, are my attempts at friendship. I did little things that I had to do and she won't let them go? Is she always like that?

His helmeted visage hid away any movement of his gaze, his own HUD and those of the sharpshooter's scanning the surrounding area for any signs of accomplices that their intruder might have. His blades were sheathed in place still, as was his blaster pistol. But they would be quick enough to draw. Though, in truth, the only one really in danger at the moment, was Bishop since her armour had been removed Mandalorian Stubbornness. More a societal thing than genetic, given our culture. But we're not much known for making friends with those who act like enemies. A sentiment I am sure you feel yourself... Now, before I have to shoot you, I'd like to know your name and where you're from? I am Damocles, aliit'alor of Ordo... Either she very coincidentally showed up when he was expecting a visitor, and he was going to have to take her out. Or she was the one he had been waiting for, in which case she would get to live another day

Now! What have I done to earn such threats? I am Akulas. I was sent here to learn from a new teacher. She points to a pile of leaves. That is her stuff. Only when people really act like enemies. But I guess it makes some sense. You just have you be ready for things to change. It is very nice to meet you.

She seemed somewhat unaware of how her actions would be viewed by others, or perhaps was too confident in her own abilities to convince others. Both were fatal flaws. Hs hands drifted away from the grips of his pistols as she the mentioned she was here to train and pointed out where Bishops gear was currently resting. At the very least, she hadn't tried to steal or keep any of it for herself Sent here to learn huh? Got anything with you to prove where you came from?

You mean more proof that incapacitating and disarming a Mandolorean without a weapon? She rolls her eyes, but then gets serious and continues. I didn't kill or even really harm her in case she was connected to the person I was here to find, and I stuck around in case there was a reason to talk. If I was not who I said I was, would I have done those things? Do you have any proof that you are the person I was sent here to find?

He crossed his arms over his chest then, taking a slightly more relaxed stance. Even if she tried surprising him with a physical attack or firing a shot from a pistol, his Beskar would protect him Fair points kid... He unfurled his arms as he walked over to where Bishop was still bound on the ground. His right hand unsheathing one of his knives which he used to cut her bonds. He rose up to his full height as Bishop quickly scrambled over to retrieve her gear and start dressing herself Can't really say I have any proof as to being the one you're here to find. But if you are the Grand Moff's champion, then give her a call and she can confirm it for you... Or we trust the other is who they say they are. In which case, you should grab your gear and follow us back to camp. Your choice...

She opened her mouth, but in that moment her whit had left her, or more likely she didn't really have anything to say. He mentioned the Grand Moff, for her that was enough to confirm he knew Standash. Few other Grand Moffs would likely be sending a champion to learn from a Mandolorian. They weren't enemies of the First Order, but there would definitely be some explaining to the Emperor if he found out about this. Standash was one of the few with the clout, excuse, and the balance of pride to do this. I think you know as well as I do that I am not supposed to contact my benefactor unless I need to. She picked up her sack. It had its own straps but she also clipped it to her vest. The black vest was full of pockets that held various items. It was her vest that held the ration bars she had been eating earlier. She kicked girt over the small fire extinguishing the orange flame. She walked over to offer the woman a hand up. It is not hard feelings Bishop Ordo. I hope that we can be friends here. I would like to tell you how nice your armor is. I have never been able to touch it before tonight. Thank you for the opportunity to see Beskar up close!

Bishop made short work of attiring herself once more with her armour. Such a process had become well practised and she could have done it with her eyes closed. Thus she was mostly armoured up again by the time Akulas offered out a hand. She grabbed her helmet and let out a sigh as she used the offered hand as leverage to get up onto her feet If you survive, maybe we can think about being friends. But for now, we'll settle on not being enemies... She slid her helmet on, the edge of the t-visor glowing briefly with a dull red light as the HUD system powered up Hopefully you had a good look and feel, it might be the last time you are so close to Beskar. Who knows... Anything could happen in the next few days and weeks or training. Even if she did survive the training, there was no guarantee she'd be close to Mando's as allies or foes in the future.
Damocles just watched the interaction, before signalling to the snipers to wrap up Play nice... Come on, we've got a tent set aside, your training will begin in the morning, Akulas... Imperials certainly had some weird names. They were a bit of a pretentious bunch. But he supposed they probably thought Mando names were weird too. What ever the case, he turned and headed back toward the camp, trusting Bishop and Akulas to be following close behind. The growing darkness did not present much issue for the Mando's as their HUD's activated their low-light vision modes. Allowing them to better see the obstacles along the path.
It wasn't long before they arrived back to the camp and passed through the perimeter fence. The gate was closed and the sentries returned back to their normal guard duties. Bishop then split off to visit the medical tent, while Damocles marched onward to the spare tent. His hand gripping the flap and pulling it back open This is your tent for the next several weeks. You'll keep it clean, the same as if you were in barracks. Day shift gets up at oh five thirty, training begins twenty minutes later in the field over there... He pointed to the empty area in the north west corner of the camp Camp chores will be assigned out, if you make it through the first day. Got it?

I got it. Thank you for the bed, and for agreeing to train me. I am not sure what is ahead of me, but I saw fear in the eyes of my mentor when she talks about the assignment this is preparing me for. I have rarely ever seen her afraid. If training with you helps those fears I am excited. Most of the bravado was out of her voice, at this point. Standash's concern really did have her worried. Not for this training, but what was after it. Is there a place I can stretch and dance before then? I don't want to wake anyone up doing my exercises. I will see if I can sleep until 4:45, I suppose I could enjoy sleeping in a little.

Whoever this girl was going to be protecting or fighting alongside must either be incompetent, or very important. Their enemies were obvious enough if Akulas had been sent to train with him. The list of people within the Firs Order narrowed considerably. Not that he was all too concerned about anyone beyond Akulas as his trainee Fear and Excitement are good motivators to excel. They'll keep you alive when it matters...The training field is well away from the tents, so feel free to use it for any morning warmup you do. Your tent is placed here for that exact reason. One last thing... He motioned to the speakers and warning lights scattered around the camp This is an active operation, and if we are attacked, you will be expected to help defend this camp. Failure to do so will result in punishment. I'll see you in the morning, when I'll answer any other questions you might have...

I am here to serve, as long as you don't do anything that makes you an Enemy of those I have sworn allegiance to, I will follow all orders and shoot whoever needs shooting. She nods and enters the tent. She had slept in worse contions. She remembered the training mission on Dubrillion. You can escape cold, wind, and heat, but that humidity follows everywhere. That tent was miserable, and it was awful at keeping out bugs. This was pleasant. She set her gear down and set her mind to her wake-up routine. She struggles to sleep. It wasn't that the mat was uncomfortable. On the contrary, these planets' light gravity compared to what she was used to making it feel like sleeping on a cloud. It was that same gravity that caused the problem. The space blanket she was using felt like it was barely there, there wasn't enough resistance on her chest to find a comfortable breathing pattern. She was used to sleeping with a weighted blanket in the cold of Carida, but this was very different. She gave up sleeping around 0400 have caught enough to keep her alert throughout the day. She was used to only sleeping 4 to 5 hours. The planet's star had not yet crested and she went out silently to stretch. As she did, she took in this unfamiliar sky. She used these morning stretches to think. This was the only time she ever really let herself open up. She could get vulnerable when she was the only one around. She thought of the troops training on Carida. She could think of a few that would be able to identify the stars above her and let herself get a little jealous of their skills. She let herself get a little angry that others had more visible skills. Many were smarter, much stronger, much faster, many were better fighters. All these things you could point to. She was cursed with helping others be their best. She was cursed with the background. The Moff had seen in, but she loved working behind the scenes 10 or 20 moves ahead. The Emporer trusted Standash's reporting, but he didn't know. She was very worried about not being good enough to lead Octavin's legion. She was afraid that she would help another take her spot. Mostly she was afraid of how happy she would be when that person took it. She yelled alone in the field, why couldn't she look out for herself for once? Why couldn't she be the best? Why did she feel bad for having these thoughts? Octavian would never like a girl this confused in the head. Her thoughts then fell to the boy. She couldn't talk to Standash about her thoughts since the dance. The Grand Moff would tell her that feelings get in the way of progress and ambition. That people like them are too important for things like this. But she kept thinking about his hands holding her waist and holding her up.

Goodnight... He nodded and took his leave. He definitely had no plans to antagonize the First Order, nor would he have expected her to fight them in the unlikely scenario they did choose to pick a fight with his forces. A foolish notion, but he supposes one she wanted to make clear of where she stood. With Akulas settled in, he finished his rounds and did some final reports before also getting some sleep himself
Damocles had not missed out on much sleep, having gotten used to conditions upon Anobis a few days earlier. But he also woke up around a similar time to Akulas, doing his usual routine morning work before taking a tour of the camp to ensure the night shift was fine and get heir reports in person. It would have been a good half hour to an hour later as he came upon the training field. He silently observed the girl for a moment before she rather randomly yelled into the nothingness. There was nothing and no one else around that was a danger and she didn't appear to be wearing any comm gear ear piece.
He used her moment of distraction to unsheath his blades and lay them down near the entrance to the training arena, and grabbed a pair of training blades. He tossed one blade up into the air, before it landed dull blade down into the dirt just in front of Akulas. He brought his blade into a diagonal guard position Seems like someone is ready for a little morning sparring practice...

She jumped a little when the armored man spoke. Her awearness was infront of her. She trusted threats wouldn't come from behind and the camp. If they had wanted to kill you or capture her, they would have done it already, or would wait until she slept again. She recovered quickly. She picked up the balde befor saying anything. It wasn't sharp, but it was heavy. Her armor was made to deflect energy and cutting force, impact was lacking. This training was going to hurt and bruise. Nothing she hadn't experianced before. The weapon was unfimiliar, but that was a benifit of training in an Academy. Nothing was personalized, everythign was standard issue, and by that nature things were always different. She spun the weapon around understanding its weight and how it felt in her hands as she switched her grip. She nodded and turned around. Sounds fun. She took a defensive position. circling. She wanted to gain information about her opponent. The lighter gravity was an ally here. She was much stronger than she looked. He muscles toned and built by her homeworld. She would let him prepare for a girl's hesitant finess strikes. She would keep this advantage away for now.

He smiled as she jumped, seeming to catch her off guard as he gripped his own sword tighter while she tested her own blade Let us see what you're made of... He took a position opposite Akulas and began to counter circle her, keeping them equidistant away. He made a few feints to gauge her reaction, seeing if he could spook her into action again. It was likely they were each trying to figure out the others fighting style and what they were like whilst trying to keep their own secrets as much as possible

She made no reaction to the feints, and continued to circle. The blade kept low. She did everything to give the impression it was heavy to her. She wanted it to look like that was why she let it hang low towards her feet. When she took a step she leaned with the sword's weight, making it look like it pulled her off balance. I thought I was here to learn from you? I am ready... She was about to add labor to her breath but stopped. She didn't want to overdo it.

He was certainly impressed by how calm and collected she was, giving no reaction to any of his feints. He smirked as she, he wanted to say tried to taunt him I appreciate your eagerness to learn. But a good warm up is always important... Besides, he wanted to see what she knew and was capable of already. While it was possible she was better trained with a rapier, he very much doubted the struggle she was seeming to have with the blade. Standash may have been overestimating her trainee's skill, but that was unlikely. He made several more feints, before following through on a high strike on her right side diagonally down toward where she was letting her sword hang

There is a distinct lack of ice here... I have been warm since I got here. His blade hit hers and she pretended to nearly drop it as she stepped back and created distance between them. She looked up and him with a worried look before turning it into a smile. She was not a dishonest person, but she had learned to manipulate what people saw from the best. Standash had taught her to play into what people thought the truth to be, to control people's minds without the Force. She let the dishonest smile hang for a moment. This should be seen as false bravado. She had been very confident to this point, should be easy for that to be believed. Do you by chance have a rapier? I am not used to fighting with a sword like this. As you can tell, I am not the biggest girl, I normally use my speed in fights like this. This was of course the truth. On Carida, she was faster than most due to her size. And on that planet, she was by no means strong. Here on this world... she was both.
