Cao allowed himself a tiny smile as the woman he knew was Vidalu Na'an landed on the rooftop, just as the bounty hunter started his downward spiral towards the housing structure on the other side of the alley. He strode forward, his attention entirely on the enemy that Leigh had selected. The lightwhip snapped back as he switched hands, then formed into a defensive pattern around and near his right side, suspended by the Force. His left hand now free, he reached out towards the fallen concussion grenade, levitating it and priming it mentally, before chucking it over to where the bounty hunter was about to land.
As a side thought, he gestured towards the fallen repeater and twitched his fingers, the rifle skittering across the rooftop over to lay at Na'an's feet.
"You're better with that than I am," he said calmly. "Just in case."

He crashed into the rooftop on the other side of the alley, his armour carrying some new scorch marks from the eyepatch woman's blaster rifle. He rolled a few times over the roof, then sat up, his sidearm still firmly gripped in his hand and pointing at..
..his own concussion grenade, thrown in pretty much a beeline straight for him.
There was no limit to the number of curses that crossed his mind as he dropped again, rolling sideways out of its path, hoping not to get caught in the blast. He sat up again, managing to get off a few potshots at the pair on the opposing rooftop before the grenade exploded, a concussive burst rushing forth. Thankfully he only caught the tail end of it, and the blast only dazed him, but he couldn't afford the luxury of recovery time..
================
As they left the alley behind, Valerie paused for a moment to turn and look. The eyepatch lady was fighting the bounty hunter single-handedly (from her point of view, that was, she couldn't see Cao). It was a strange thing to do, but it was exactly what she had wanted when she had called for help. She kept staring for what seemed like a while, her brown eyes filling with wonder, before she turned to continue with Andor, heading towards the speeder.
She hoped that her hunter was sufficiently occupied..

Arkan had only had to walk a few hundred metres to find what he needed. Around the corner not far from where he had started was a speeder bike rack outside a cantina. This cantina was known as the local hangout of a swoop gang that controlled some territory in the area. Most annoyingly they did not do business with the Bloodrage Pirates and Arkan had not allocated enough resources to taking them over. Sometimes it was useful to have a gang you could pin various murders on and for when you needed a fast speeder bike in a hurry.
The Captain strolled over to the rack and picked the toughest looking speeder, not the one that looked the meanest with all the extra spikes, no. The one that could actually take a few blaster hits before going down. Third in the line looked like a good bet and the armoured Echani smashed the lock from the front and jumped on. This noise drew some attention from within the cantina and the next sound triggered a small crowd to erupt from the front door. That sound was the speeder bike powering up and roaring into the air. The crowd were too late and Arkan flew off before they could even fire a single blaster bolt. None of them noticed the time delayed detonator left in the middle of the bike rack.
Holt and his boys were making their way from the cantina in three groups, each gathering more members as word spread. Holt headed up the main group which he was unwittingly leading straight to the alley, though the opposite side to the target. The other two groups were making their way in a similar direction about a block to either side, to make finding the target easier. It wasn't long before the main group rounded a corner to a junction and had their eyes on, what was by now the centre of the entire universe, well at least on this planet!
The pirate gang stopped and watched some of the activity centred around the alley. They were all armed but they had not been told to move in, they knew what happened to people who did things without the boss' say so. Holt used the time to relay the position to the other two groups and have them swing around both sides of the alley. If they were quickly enough they could surround the place at street level before the Captain arrived. Although he arrived sooner than Holt had expected.
Arkan fly over the entire scene at quite an altitude at first. He surveyed the scene trying to find the target, that was easier said then done. From this height he could also see his gang, most on one side of the alley. He could use that, so he swoops lower to get a good view of the other side of the alley, trying not to go too near the little roof-top skirmish. This time he notices two possible targets, two girls who could potentially be the source of the bounty. There were many armed combatants in the area and no way of telling which one was the bounty hunter who had called for aid. Then he noticed something that forced his hand, someone was leaving with one of the girls. He couldn't risk the bounty getting away.
The man approached a speeder, travelling ahead of the girl and trying to secure their escape. Arkan drew his blaster and began to put some sustained fire down onto the speeder. He aimed at the cockpit and the controls to render it immobile. This action stirred the pirate gang into action, making their weapons ready and approaching the alley from the opposite side to their Captain.

Fingering the controls, Andor heard Gavin's voice in his head. As he listened, he focused on the man's presence and realized that he wasn't a Jedi, but in fact was more Neutral. He also noticed the physical disappearance of Kent, but could still feel her presence. He couldn't pinpoint her location, as his mind was busy elsewhere, but he knew she was close.
The engine of the speeder roared to life just as blaster bolts began to ping off the hood and into the cockpit. One shot singed through the Sith's cloak, leaving a trail of smoke twirling up from the burnt cloth. He looked up to see Arkan riding towards him, blaster pistol in hand.
In a flash of crimson light, his blade was back in his right hand as he flipped over the front of the speeder, landing with his right foot forward, facing the incoming speeder. With a flourish of his weapon, bolts and blades connected, sending sparks into the air among the crackling of the colliding energies. The Sith Lord blocked the bolts, managing to deflect some of them back at his assailant.*
"Get in and get down!" Andor ordered, urging Valerie to take cover in the running speeder. He had almost gotten away with it... If it weren't for those meddling kids.*
*The speeder was getting closer. The Sith's mind had been simmering in the Darkside since his first arrival to the alley. It was building up in his veins, flowing through every crack and crevice of his body. He felt light as a feather as he let the dark energies empower him. Andor raised his left hand and in an almost effortless attempt, sent a telekinetic wave with the Force at his opponent, aiming to hit the front of the speeder at an angle, forcing its nose down to crash into the ground and hopefully throwing is opponent into the air. If he could unmount Arkan from his speeder, Andor would be able to deal with his assailant more easily.

From where Anven stood across the street from the alley he had a good view of what was going on down there and so it was clear to him what the girl's choice had been. She had decided to go with the strange cloaked man that Anven was still trying to remember where he had seen before though as soon as the girl made her choice the cloaked man wasted no time in making his way out of the alley. no sooner after he started moving the alley had erupted into violent combat once again though now it was all aimed at a man on the rooftops.
Anven had no interest in what was going on inside the alley for the girl was the one that had called out for help and so he was going to make sure she got away safely and so he began to watch the cloaked man closely which was no difficult task since he came out at the end Anven was on so all he had to do was follow the man with his eyes barely even turning his head. He watched the cloaked man cross the nearly abandoned street to a speeder that was parked there which at this point Anven did turn his head to watch the man go to climb into it. So far it seemed the girl was on her way to safety as it seemed not many had followed the cloaked man and her out of the alley though Anven did sense two presences in the force near by though he didn't know where they may be hiding.
Anven pushed off the wall he was leaning against in preparation to follow the girl and the one she had chosen to go with until he heard sounds overhead what sounded like a Speeder bike flying overhead and so he looked up to see who or what was flying overhead only to see blaster bolts come from the one that was flying overhead. Anven quickly followed the blaster bolts with his eyes and saw they were fired at the speeder that the cloaked man was going to take which made him believe that whoever was on that speeder bike may also have an interest in the girl. Knowing that a fight would likely be inevitable now Anven let go of his use of force stealth to finally reveal his presence in the force as he began to open himself fully to it in preparation for the coming battle. He then took out one of his single bladed lightsabers and ignited its crimson blade and then threw the lightsaber guided by the force into the man's path in an attempt to either knock the man off his speeder bike and disable the bike or to cut down both him and possibly the speeder bike though he was aiming more for the quick kill in cutting the man down.

Expertly Kent made her way down the building behind the speeder. She knew every place to put her feet and hands. She crouched behind the Sith's speeder with the Sith on the other side occupied. Kent looks at Val. Last chance girl. He is occupied, they all are. I know every place to hide here and in every sector on this planet. I know ways to get there that can't be followed. Let these psychos knock each other off. By the time who ever lives knows we are gone we will be unreachable.

*Gavin continued to watch from the fire escape. Here another battle was about to ensue. At first he thought to assist Andor, though he saw the other saber flying out of nowhere. Yet another who was trying to help and like him, doing so from the shadows.
As he watched he saw Kent reappear at the speeder. He was too far to hear anything, but he felt she was trying to get Val to go with her and leave Andor. For now he watched, waiting to see what would happen next.*

Leigh had run maybe ten yards and sent the comlink message three times before it became clear the message was not going through. If Adelle could hear Leigh, she'd answer the message; she had a much a soft spot for children as Na'an did. She braced her bulk against the alley's opening corner, constantly calculating trajectories. The two new assailants had chosen to focus directly on the speeder now housing two girls and the Sith lord, rather than regrouping with the first on the rooftops above. Two were rapidly approaching the speeder, almost on top of them and too close to fire upon without risk, but the others in the pirate gange were above, free for clear attack if she did it quietly.
Leigh re-assigned her priorities in the face of the new arrivals. Priority 1 was their established goal: the protection of the female minors currently under attack. Second was Na'an's 'command' to contact Adelle in some capacity, which would require alternative routes. Leigh activated her vocal sensors, speaking at a normal volume as she repositioned to fire at the gang clustering at the far end of the alley.
"Adelle's not responding. We're going to have to try the Force," she said, aiming her cannon at the walls. "And we've got more company."
With a thunderous noise, she fired four quick shots at the walls around the gang. The shots exploded, bringing chunks of steel and duracrete down thick on their heads and on the ground. As she aimed again, a subprocess continued the calculate the possible property damage, as well as the probability that they'd actually ask for the payments this time.
Na'an tracked the repeater's skittering across the rooftop with a bemused smile. Rather than reach down to pick it up, she kicked it up with her toes, catching it in her right hand. Rather than resisting the urge to laugh, she cocked her head at the man that had kicked it toward her and beamed. "Never thought I'd hear you say that," she said warmly, "Cao."
After all this time, Cao looked...healthy. It was quite the change from three years ago, and in retrospect seeing him as a drunk was really quite stupid. He'd gotten his signature weapon back from somewhere, and the bags under his eyes were less pronounced than Na'an had ever seen them. And was that a smile? Gods forbid.
Maybe it was good that he was here--
And the happy reunion would have to wait. Eye still closed, she swiveled back momentarily towards her partner, just in time to see Leigh fire her cannon again. The blasts exploded onto more bounty hunters--and entire gang of them, and one more besides, and Na'an winced at the sudden concussion of sound. "Shit. Cao, your telepathy's better than mine...can you get a wide-scale message out to the Corellian Sector?" She pointed the rifle over her shoulder, using the barrel to indicate the firing droid below. "Leigh's got the specifics. Then get to the speeder, more of 'em have showed up."
Na'an then cocked both rifles, slinging her own over her shoulder to grip the bounty hunter's repeater in both hands. She smirked confidently, then her eye focused hard on the dazed target on the opposite roof. "I'll take this sumbitch, then catch up."

*Ronin let out a sigh, another 'expert'. Funny how everyone becomes an expert when something like politics, law, medicine, or military based subjects came up. Suddenly everyone knew about the oath Doctor. Partially lifting the pistol Ronin glanced down at it and than back up.*
"Do you know how much certain types of pain killers I carry go for on the black market, do you not think the /bad guys/ stop trying to hurt the innocent when I'm trying to patch them up? No this is to protect myself and other. I kill to save."
*It was around this time the pirates flooded the area, Ronin turned in time to see several of them charging with knives and axes. Bringing his pistol level, Ronin squeezed off a few rounds. Before him one pirates head explodes, another was left with a gaping chest wound, and the third had his arm ripped off. With the impact of each round the target was thrown back, and crumpled to the ground where they lay still surrounded by their own gore. Ronin turned back around to address Kol.*
"Like that."
*His free hand moved to his head, an index finger pointing to the side of his head*
"What are you looking for in my head? Keep out!"
*There was no aggression behind his word, but a request. Too much was going on around them to create new enemies, especially the seemingly countless pirates.*

Arkan cursed beneath his helmet that he had not managed to damage the speeder, it left that escape route still open. He began to pull away from the fight to swing the speeder around when the controls flung him out of control. He had been pulling the speeder up and away from the building when the controls seemed to be taking him down against all of the Captain's wishes. He strained with the controls and eventually got the speeder bike level but he was almost at street level now. He span the bike around to face his adversary who was now about one hundred feet away down the road. Arkan did not fancy going toe to toe with the lightsabre wielding being at this point, not without more back up. However he needed to get rid of their escape route, maybe one of the others could help, he noticed the other young girl rush across to the speeder. He still could not be sure which was the bounty. He just needed one of them so he could pass them off as the bounty even if they weren't. That meant he needed his speeder to survive which would be tricky.
"Holt, hit them with everything, kill everything that isn't a small blonde girl. There are two of them and I'm not sure which one is more valuable."
He throttled up again and climbed above the roofs of the nearby buildings and once again aimed his blaster towards the speeder. However his mind was working more clearly now and his first few shots were aimed at the two girls. If the Sith truly valued them he would not let them be damaged, Arkan imagined the Sith would take great pleasure damaging them later. He then quickly switched his fire and rapidly put six shots into the cockpit of the speeder. Enough to ruin the controls and require a repair before any escape could be made. The captain them sped the hover bike up and swooped around for another pass.
Holt saw some of his gang cut down as they charged forwards, he didn't like it but there were quite a lot of them and now the Captain had given them the order. Suddenly the pirates were no longer just armed with swords and clubs. Red, blue and even green blaster bolts flew from the pirate gang towards anyone stood near the alley. Holt, being the only proper pirate amongst the gang, paused and levelled his repeater in the direction of the “good” doctor. He released a five second burst before moving to let his gang charge ahead to re-position.

*Anven began to walk forward at a quick pace as he saw to his disappointment his lightsaber miss his intended target as the speeder bike was brought down by another means. He kept his eye on the descending speeder bike even as he brought his red lightsaber back to him and catching it in his right hand it was quite clear to him that whomever was piloting that speeder bike clearly wanted the girl for some reason but Anven had already intended to keep the girl from being taken unwillingly. This meant if he had to fight off everyone that came towards her even the numerous presences that he could feel arriving on the other side of the alley then he would do just that even if it meant the death of him.
With his goal clear in mind Anven never broke his stride as he quickly made his way towards the speeder that the girl was near all the while keeping an eye on the speeder bike waiting for the man on it to make his next move. He did not have to wait long for soon after being brought down the man on the speeder bike took off once again rising high above the buildings. Anven immediately saw the speeder bike pilot was a persistent one for he was brining up his blaster pistol once again to take some more shots at the speeder.
It was right then that Anven felt the girl was in great peril and it didn't take Anven very long to figure out why. Before he even knew it he was moving into action as he dashed the last few paces towards the speeder and come sliding to a stop near the girl and the other one who was hiding behind the speeder. In that instant Anven quickly deflected the few blaster bolts that was aimed in the girl's direction saving not only her but her little friend as well from being shot to death. Sadly to his surprise it seemed he found out to late that the girl was but a distraction likely meant for the other cloaked man who she had chosen to go with for he saw more blaster bolts being fire but this time at the speeder itself while he was busy defending the girls.
This mysterious man was proving to be a nuisance and so Anven began to concentrate as he stood in a defensive stance. He was readying himself for when the man would likely come back for another pass for he had an idea that might just knock him out of the sky and hopefully send him falling to his death. That remained to be seen since it seemed Anven was having a bad day for his little tricks since he so disastrously missed cutting the man down with his lightsaber even as he was having speeder bike troubles. He could only hope that things might look up for him and that this wasn't the force telling him that bad things were to come his way.*

*Gavin continued to watch as the events unfolded below him. Not once had the situation found lull in the action. While Gavin had decided to remain hidden to watch over the girls while everyone fought, that choice went out the window when the attacks came at the girls. Whether a means of distraction or intentional, it mattered not. It would be hard pressed for the girls to even try and run.
Luckily he watched Anven appear before the girls and protected them. It was good, meaning he could stay hidden a bit longer, though hiding was no longer an option. Reaching into his trench coat, he removed his shadow black saber staff. He didn't activate it, instead pressing a button on each side. With the button pressed, four two inch long blade on each side of the staff released and moved to place themselves just above the emitter. Kolk Illuminate was a staff of many tricks able to respond to different situations. Holding it up, it levitated in his hand. Using the Force, he let it roll on itself, turning it into a drill. There he wait for a moment as the one on the speeder focused his attack away from them and upon the doctor.
In that second, he threw the staff like a spear, its spinning blade ready to drill through anything in its path. Seconds before reaching the target, he used the Force to activate the saber, letting both silver blade come to life as it flew towards Arkan.*

She'd been just about to follow Aajax away from the scene, answers to his questions (which raised questions of their own) ready, when someone else stepped out of the alley and joined their little outsider party. A doctor, apparently. Mal opened her mouth to ask what he'd been doing in the alley and which of the two men present was digging around in his head when a band of pirates surged towards them, weapons brandished, and the air around them exploded in color as blaster bolts flew from every angle.
(That moment when you have to scramble to catch up and have way too much to react to, so you're left making a sad, uninteresting, quick little explanatory 'I Came, I Saw, But Couldn't React Because I Was Offline For A Day, So This Is Me Acknowledging Everything Because, RP Integrity' post? Yeah. Totally having that moment.)
Malora barely had time to swear and draw her DL-44. If she didn't already regret stopping by the alley, she definitely did now. Being gunned down by wild pirates was not on her to-do list today. "Kriffin'-..can' this situation get any worse?! How the hell are we getting out of this one?!" she yelled above the din, training her blaster on the horde threatening to wash over them.

Kol looked the doctor up and down briefly, remembering the eagerness with which he had been waiting to use the pistol he held, back when he was within the alley. "I may be unable to see inside your mind, doctor, but no man who kills only in self defense would enjoy it quite so much as you clearly do." The word doctor was emphasized in such a way that it seemed Kol was implying it was nothing more than a charade, and indeed that was exactly what he was doing. He was waiting for the other man to respond, albeit not waiting very long, when he felt something else begin to weigh upon his mind. A veritable host of ill-intention and barely suppressed bloodlust. Well this just gets better and better, doesn't it?
His thoughts were interrupted by the eruption of blaster bolts and slugthrower fire, and he stepped in front of Malora as she raised her pistol to return their fire, placing his hand atop her gun and pushing it gently down. "There are better ways than violence, m'lady." Then he was reaching out, flexing a muscle that had too long gone untested. There had been a time when the mind ensconced in the body of Kol Farik had been capable of influencing hundreds of others in a single moment, erasing memories and creating illusions so potent even a master jedi would be fooled, but those days are long past. For now, he only needs to influence the several dozen men charging toward them, and that is the task he sets himself. It is a simple trick, and will be made all the more simple when they close the distance and he can use their chaotic numbers against them, but for now he reaches into their collective minds and removes the perceptions of both himself and Malora from them. They can still be seen, certainly, as he has done nothing to affect the light around them, and so the men will still avoid such clumsiness as bumping into them or firing a blaster shot at a target beyond them that they know will not make it to its destination, but for the purposes of memory and perception, Kol Farik and Karana Malora will no longer exist in the minds of the pirates. A potent application of force ignore, if you will. Unfortunately, however, the glamour (if indeed you wish to call it that) would be dispelled should the pirates be forced to take notice of them, as would be the case if Malora began firing at them indiscriminately.
"They won't attack us, but we should probably go now."

Andor took a deep relaxing breath as Akran took his speeder back into the air, arching around for another pass. Andor tensed himself, prepping his mind and body for a solid defense. His eyes were locked on target when all of a sudden, the pirate took a couple of potshots at Valerie and Kent. His muscles tensed as he was about to intervene when suddenly, Anven arrived, his lightsaber easily batting the bolts away. While Andor had been distracted trying to crash the speeder, the Jensaarai had sprinted across the street to aid him. The man's presence hinted familiarity in the Sith's mind, but there wasn't any time to figure out why.*
*Akran didn't stop his barrage of gunfire when Anven intervened, but only repositioned his target, now aiming for the speeder, which was still behind Andor since he hadn't moved his position. This guy was desperate to prevent Andor from getting Valerie to safety. Andor reached out with the Force, initiating a basic Force grip on average sized trashcan that sat on the edge of the sidewalk right next to where the speeder was parked. With a wave of his left arm, the trashcan raced the mere five or six feet, a silver blur, in front of the speeder, blocking the barrage of blaster fire. The first four bolts collided with the metal can, burning a deep hole into the smoking, now molten section of it. Since the bolts had been all accurately aimed for the same target, it wasn't hard to intercept them all.*
*Without hesitation, Andor then redirected the can's path and hurled it into Arkan's speeder's path, hoping to create a collision and knock the pirate from his mount. As the metal waste bin flew through the air, the final two shots managed to pass it, zipping for the speeder.
*In an act of expert swordsmanship, the Sith's red blade managed to intercept the final two bolts, sending them back towards Arkan.*
*Sweat began to bead on the Sith's brow as his body began to warm-up, the adrenaline finally kicking in as the battle truly began to unfold. His mind open to the Force, drawing in on the fear from Valerie, the chaos from the entire situation and his own annoyance and anger that the Pirate was trying to stop him when had nearly gotten away without a fight.

For the first time she could remember Kent felt nervous. Still confident in her mind and in having a way out, but there were so many variables, now. One of those variables being Valerie and that mind air eruption trick that seems to come out of no where when she was in trouble, and once again Kent was just inches from Val again when this all broke loose. She watches as the shots fired their direction were intercepted by this new swordsmen. She wanted to say they were headed at her, but when she thought about their trajectory that didn't quite fit... HE had been pretty accurate with all his shots up to that point... So where were the shots near her an Val meant for? She followed the line and the speeders repulsor engine was in the line. Val and she weren't the targets... actually it appeared that the assailants were doing there best to keep Kent and Val alive. Most likely they wanted to capture them, for some reason they were needed alive. This was an advantage she could use to get Val and herself away to safety. Listen Valerie, its ok. They aren't trying to kill you or me. I don't know why but the seem to want us alive. this means we aren't in immediate danger, so if you were planning on the mind explosion thing, now would be a bad time for it. I know how to get us out of this...

Aajax was just about to get the information he had been seeking when the curious character entered the alleyway brandishing his weapon and apparently seeking out Kol
The two debated a bit while Aajax just smirked and snapped his helm back into place Damned forcies, get a suite and get it over with he thought just as the violence spilled into the alleyway in the form of a large horde of Swoop gang? He thought as his shield snapped into place onto his left arm
It was then that Aajax realized that this rabble seemed much more disciplined than one would assume that the ranks of a swoop gang would be. These posed a much greater threat than originally assessed.
Then the Doctor fired his slugthrower right into the midst of them, killing a few instantly. The return fire was overwhelmingly quick and had a remarkable focus.
He could clearly see that many of the rabble's members were humans, and while he would not take the life of a human without reason, he knew that they...amongst those they had chosen to take on as peers... posed a very real threat to him achieving the information he sought. If any of them harmed, or killed Malora: Aajax would be without the only purpose he had found for himself in the time since his exile from the Empire.
That, can not be allowed to happen
With a muffled roar (muffled by his helm), Aajax sprang forward with a speed that no human ought to be able to achieve, bounding three large and incredibly fast steps toward the gathering horde of enemies, shield held stout to catch any return blaster fire.
KRACK! KRACK! KRACK! The report of his .75 caliber Castellen pistol ricocheted off the narrow alleyway walls with the concussive force of a flashbang grenade. The sound of his pistol alone could deafen the unprepared who were without countermeasures to auditory assault. The three Tungsten steel-capped rounds traveled downrange and blasted their way through more than one target, ripping holes into the victims that were many times their actual size.
Finishing his third step in two seconds, he planted his right foot and sprang into a corkscrew with his body, shield firmly between his body and the enemy. His pistol pressed tightly against the top curvature of his shield as he squeezed off three more rounds mid-air.
...three his mental count ticked off as he marked the passing of each second
KRACK! KRACK! KRACK!
...four
His foot planted at the seam of the Duraplast wall and the street, with one motion he slammed the sharpened right edge of his shield into the wall and sprang upward, using the leverage from his arm and the strength of his legs to propell him up the wall nearly 1.5 meters.
...five
By now, those who had maintained their wits amongst the enemy managed to fire off a few blaster-bolts at their new attacker. Those that didn't miss entirely, were immediately negated by the 1mm plating of Neuranium on his shield.
As he "rode" the wall, his legs tucked up under him and angled to place the soles of his boots on the surface of the Duraplast. Fluidly he kicked off, dislodging his shield from the wall and dove; bell-first into the head of the nearest pirate.
...six
The wet, dull sound of his shield's bell stoving in the pirate's cranium would turn the stomach of any man. But in the heat of battle, Aajax barely paid any of these things any mind.
He rolled, coming up with the leading edge of his shield, gutting two more pirates as he did. Then, at point blank range he shoved the muzzle of his Castellen into the gut of another and squeezed the trigger.
KRACK!
He drank in the look of sheer terror and pain on the face of the Duros he had just eviscerated with the latest shot from his sidearm. Nothihg gave him more pleasure than to see the end of the abominations, the daemons which spotted the galaxy with their grimy existence.
...seven
He spun away, the edge of his shield just barely missing another two as they pulled away from him, afraid to close the distance and feeling much safer to simply empty their blaster-cells into him until there was no more gas in the cylinder. He shoved backward with both his legs, sending himself sliding back on his ass...once again covering himself as much as he could with his shield,, now stained with the various colors of blood one would find filling the alleyway now. As his slide came to a stop nearly three meters back from its start Aajax slammed the side of his pistol into the switch on his chest, a grim look of satisfaction on his face.
It was at that point that someone might have noticed the bell of his shield was laying where he had began his slide, but it was far too late to give it any thought. And much too late to do anything about what it represented.
With a click, the bell sprang upward from the ground a full meter and detonated with a blinding display of pyrotechnics. Superheated plasma and bits of molten Desh exploded outward in a small inferno.
"...Eight" He said audibly holstering his pistol and sprinting for the opposite end of the alley. Doing his best to motion that Malora and Kol should do the same as he rushed past them with marked speed.
That would not have killed all of them, in fact he was unlikely to have killed more than four more men with that last explosion, but it was meant as a diversion just as much as it was to kill. It would hopefully buy them the precious time they needed to round the corner of the alleyway and try and break off any pursuit they may put up.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=sGBi6PT1cbA*Something scratched at the back of his mind, danger to his person was eminent. This is when Ronin turned on his heels reconnecting to the force. At the point he no longer cared to hide his true self, it was all about self preservation; protecting lives. With those in the alley weather allied or not were still outnumbered by at least 15 to 1 and that was a rough estimate.* "Kiff me sideways" Ronin thought to himself *Ronin felt the earth below him, shifting his feet he took a sudden sharp breath in stomping his left foot forward. Free hand palm up push from waist level to shoulder level as his foot made contact with the ground. As if on command a wall of durasteel shot up 10 ft into the air taking the fire from Holt.* "You can stay and fight. If not now would be a good time to run." *Ronin's words were for who ever was listening but more so for the mind poker (Kol) and the mute hotty with a gun (Malora)*

The Pirate Captain once again surveyed the scene at the top of his latest pass. He was disappointed with the outcome though, the speeder was intact and he appears to have drawn more combatants into the fray. He needed to split the group up, he had no chance against multiple Forcies but with his back-up and his wits he might stand a chance against just one. He glanced across towards the other side of the alley to see his first group of pirates charge into the fight, they would surely cause a great deal of pain to many people. While looking over then alley the corner of his eye caught the merest glint of a reflection off a metallic object. His attention was caught and he focused in on the source, a strange grey object that seemed to be growing.
With the speedy reactions of a battle-hardened Echani, Arkan jerked the controls of his speeder bike to the right and man and machine lurched violently. He had only seen a glint from one of the metallic objects that had been hurled in his direction but his evasive action had caused both projectiles to miss their target, just. This was getting serious now, he was beginning to take a lot of flak from the ground. He holstered his blaster pistol, grabbed the controls with both hands and moved to the roof of a nearby building, on the other side of the road from the alley. From this position he could see the speeder and the Forcies nearby with the targets. He hid the speeder behind a small wall and deposited a surprise in the small luggage hold on the side. He then pulled out his repeating blaster carbine before walking to the edge. The scene was unchanged in the few seconds it had taken for him to move. In his new position, Arkan would be an obvious target for enemy fire but he was planning on that. From the lofty heights of his speeder bike flight he knew his goons were on their way to this side of the alley. Though things were not going so well for Holt.
The gang leader had scene his deadly burst of fire at the good doctor defeated by a magic trick and several of his “associates” cut down easily. The gang were used to this sort of thing, they excelled in numbers and not much else. When one was cut down another took his place and the pirate gang streamed into the alley, strangely around Kol and Karana though they didn't notice this. Holt had already been moving to the side and now caught sight of Aajax who was cutting a small swath through the pirates entering the alley. If that continued then the moral of the gang would take a big hit. Already several pirates had began to focus their fire on the man and now Holt decided to do the same. His repeating blaster was swung up and pressed firmly into his shoulder as he released three, five shot bursts towards Aajax in an attempt to drive the threat back from the approaching horde.

*Gavin watched as Arkan pulled his bike up just in time to avoid both his saber and the trash can Andor threw. He had quick reflexes, that was for sure. He threw his hand out to the side and his saber slowed slightly and began to spin like a disc. As it did, it curved and headed back towards him, though lower than the fire escape. As it approached, he lept over the edge and let himself drop to the street below, catching the staff as he went.
Using the Force to guide him down, it slowed him so that his landing was soft, almost as if he could fly. Gavin was fully armed: saber staff in his hand, five single hilts still in place, throwing knives on his belt and a large sword on his back. He made no move to grab anything else. Looking back for a second, he looked to Kent and Val and took a few steps back until he was close to them. At this point, Andor, Anven, and himself were close together now. But for now he focused on the girls, speaking to them.*
"Stay down and don't be afraid. We won't let any harm come to you in any way."
