*Caross. The capital city of Togoria. In fact, just about the only city on Togoria. Home to those Togorians who had given up the nomadic lifestyle, and home to those few foreign traders who lived there. For Togoria was not an oft visited planet, particularly of late, and in the wake of the dissolution of the Iron Fists, the Xendorian Guard and the Dark Jedi Order, this once important planet full of proud warriors had been seemingly forgotten by the galaxy at large. And yet... not every vestige of the past was gone, for within Caross was maintained a large and secure compound owned by none other than Reign Enterprises - the conglomerate that had been the brainchild of the late Lord Reign, who himself had once lived on Togoria, and whose name still carried much weight amongst those old enough to remember it.
This secure compound served a number of functions, not the least of which was trade; raw materials brought in from the company's far-flung mining operations were sold to locals at discount rates, in return for craftsmanship of the like few other peoples in the galaxy could match. But more than just trading occurred within those walls. It also served as a small garrison to provide extra security for the local people, should they never need it, and as a communications and intelligence gathering hub within the Mid Rim, for Reign Enterprises had ever seen the value is such networks... both for commercial purposes and less 'business' related reasons.
Overall, approximately one thousand people lived within the walls, of which a full five hundred were professional soldiers, ever loyal to the House of Reign. What's more, a dozen TIE Avengers were also maintained with a secure hanger attached to the compound itself. And so though the great Sage himself had moved on, his legacy remained - not just in his company, but in his successors.*

*In an ornate yet not overly large office, tucked away deep inside the fortified Reign Enterprises compound, sit three beings; the one behind the desk nursing a crystal glass of twenty year old premium single malt whiskey, and the other two each holding pewter tankards full of mead. The man behind the desk, Administrator Volkoff, was the Reign Enterprises executive in charge of the company's overall interests on Togoria, and in particular the maintenance of its compound. The other two, both Togorians, were Colonel K'jiil Garo and Mistress M'saala. They were, respectively, the Director of Security and the Director of Trade, and by station the number two and three ranked personnel within the compound. Today, they were gathered for what had become a once-weekly informal get together in order to discuss matters that were neither formal enough to require a full administrative meeting, nor urgent enough that it couldn't wait. And of course, to enjoy a beverage amongst friends. Today however, the topics of conversation had taken a turn more towards rumour...*
=Colonel K'jiil Garo= "As you know I keep an ear to the ground for intel on any large-scale military action in the galaxy, as well as the prevailing winds as far as faction manoeuvring... and I know you've both heard about the Mandalorian action against the Jedi Order on Yavin. Well, I recently received word that a several former Shadow Legionnaires were spotted by a trader on Mandalore, and it got me to thinking... we only ever served the Xendorian Guard and the Iron Fists, so either these ones have gone mercenary, or they're still serving one of the Old Guard. I decided to do some research. Turns out a number of those who left Muunilinst in the wake of the Sage's death and the Dark Jedi Order's dissolution went in search of his heir, and apparently she's now Mando through and through. Not much more than rumour at this point, but we all know that the Sage, rest his soul, had wanted to pass his legacy on to his own flesh and blood, and I think in some ways even Em herself feels more like a caretaker than a successor... it'll be interesting to see what happens."
*Volkoff throws back his whiskey and grimaces, as much as the news as at the slight burning sensation in his throat. Though it was a poorly kept secret that Chancellor Em was in fact a human replica droid, the fact remained that she was the best boss Volkoff had ever served under. She was progressed from Reign's personal assistant (no easy task) to a formidable figure in both business and politics, and served as the Reign Enterprises Chief Executive for several years even before Reign's unexpected demise. Volkoff had been made a rich man by Reign Enterprises, and he owed his loyalty more to Em for her part in that, than to the legacy of some fallen legend...though he would never ever say a bad word about the late Sageout loud, for here on Togoria there were five people you never insulted if you valued your life; Margrave Pyros, Jeddak Lahash, Lord Inquitous, Lord Reign, and An Tiarna Dubh. Still, Reign's heir was a different story.*
=Administrator Volkoff= "I remember her from her time here. Elyia her name was. She was young, arrogant and entitled. Impatient. Sage's blood or not, she is not worthy of his legacy... of this company. Em has proved herself far and away the most capable, both through her shrewd stewardship of this company, and the sheer political skil and acumen required to reform and maintain the Muunilinst government in the wake of its dissolution. I would not have thought anyone who was not a Muun, would be able to secure the Chancellorship following Lord Reign's death, yet she did so to applause."
=Mistress M'sala= "Don't understand blood my friend, or forget that youth fades into wisdom, given the right experience. I am sure the good Colonel is not suggesting that anything be given to this girl, be she the Sage's heir or not, but she is nevertheless worth watching, and we would do well to let the Chancellor know - for the Chancellor will know best, as you have said."
*K'jiil, mid way through a mouthful of mead, merely grunts his agreement, and within a minute or two the conversation moves on to other matters closer to home. But the seed of though had been planted, and a possibility raised that would over time filter through the upper echelons of the organisation. Opinions would be scattered as widely as the stars, and only time would tell what destiny held in store.*
