It was late in the evening when Airspeeders could be seen flying through the city, announcing citizens to check their Viewscreens: The Prime Minister was about to make an important announcement: Arkania was now a part of the Iridonian Empire.

I had managed to find a city that looked very promising. Of all the ones that I had flown over, and check out, this one had the most arrivals and departures of merchant ships and freighters. This would be where I would land, and get to work on securing funds for myself. I steer the YT down towards the cities spaceport, and set it down gently. The hiss of the exit ramp of my ship decompressing filled the air as much as the steam that was coming from the thruster shields at the rear of my ship.
Patting the hull you turned and looked out at your immediate area, to the normal eye it would just be a single space port landing pad. But you could see, hear, and smell further than that. There was an abundance of life here, not so much outside of the city, but within it's climate controlled environment you could smell the scent of hundreds it would seem very close to you. You head out of the landing pad and check in at the kiosk handing them your identification. Alastor of the Blades, you had a weird name didn't you Shadow thief by most galactic standards. Your mask hidden within your garb which you had folded into what looked like a shoulder bag. And at your hip was one of your bags used for placing loot within, and it was full of identical bags like it. You had placed enough blood within a black bottle to prevent anyone from seeing what it was exactly that you seemed to be taking sips of every thirty to forty-five minutes.
"Hello money." I said as I stepped out of the spaceport and into the Trade City of Arkania. The buildings all told of what they had for sell, and with my heightened senses thanks to being a Energy Vampire I would know just which buildings were occupied, and which were laid bare before me. I had my datapad in my right hand to give a busied look to myself while I continued to take deep breathes through my nose.

You had been walking down the roadway for sometime, glancing from building to building using your datapad to translate the letters inscribed in neon lights on the buildings. You were looking for the perfect mark, one that had limited life within it and one that definitely lacked multiple droids within it. You seemed like an amazed tourist to others passing down the winding side walk. Your yellow eyes flicking from one hollow building to the next. Most sold what could only be translated to trinkets, and then you had found it.
"Stein's Jewel Cutting." I silently mouthed. This was the jackpot I had been looking for, and considering there was only one person in the building it likely was a small family run business. But a business I could easily rip off four stuffed bags of jewels and diamonds, well hopefully that is. After a couple passed by me, I ducked into an alley way and quickly put my mask and hooded garb on. I looked up to the roof, two stories tall, and the top would most certainly be the living quarters. "Well...it's a start, I guess."

*Flicking your wrists back caused the three hooked latches from the underside of both forearms. Wrapping your fingers between the extenders you made sure that your grip was strong and secure. Popping your neck you approached the building's wall. Swinging your right hand up and into the wall the pointed tips sunk into it, and you pulled yourself up as if doing a pull up and repeated the process with the left hand about a foot and two and a half feet higher. The sound of your ultrachrome climbing claws dinged up and down the alley way as you made your way up the buildings wall to the window that undoubtedly leads to the owner of this building's sleeping quarters.*
*I looked into the window and sure enough I saw an elderly plump Arkanian deep asleep. Pulling myself up to have my left hand clasped into the wall above the window and my feet braced on the window's ledge. The latch was open, foolish old man had probably left it unlocked after opening it to let fresh air into the building. Slowly I lifted the window enough for me to slip in. It was perfectly dark within the room, and probably the entire building. But I could still see, I could see the man taking deep breathes while possibly dreaming of all the riches in the galaxy.*
"I'm sorry...." *You laid both your hands on the man, and began to fill yourself of his essence. So much for wanting to be a Jedi, isn't that right Vampire? You would do anything necessary for your livelihood. And it seems your old Shadow Thief tenets no longer applied to you. Shaking your head slightly, your cruel yellow eyes looked down onto the husk of a corpse before you. For a moment you felt pretty bad about killing him. Maybe you could have left him asleep, and he likely would have never even known of your presence. But you were tired of having to constantly drink the blood you had stolen from Felucia. Standing back up straight, you turned and walked out of the room and into the building's hallway.*

You had walked down stairs, into the workshop room. His bench still had the tools of his trade left on them, and the whole room still had his smell lingering throughout it. Deft fingers moved into the bag that you had clasped to your hip removing a smaller pouch. You opened drawer after drawer, picking through and grabbing the diamonds that had already been cut. Putting other gems in corresponding piles on the top of the desk. It wasn't exactly a full bag of diamonds, but it was nice and heavy.
I slid the bag of diamonds into my satchel before pulling out other bags to grab the swag I had piled on top of the workbench. Emeralds, rubies, sapphires, and amethyst. I would get a good amount of credits from this, and could possibly acquire some upgrades to my YT-1000. Make it more useful, and more versatile. I was far from being done with working, I would need a lot of money to get what I wanted, and I would need it fast.
Slipping the now full bags into your satchel you looked over the now nearing empty desk. It would be a shame that you couldn't take more, especially since there was a lot of uncut jewels there for the taking. You shook your head, upset that you hadn't brought enough small bags to take the loot back with you. Folding your arms, you look down at the jewels before sighing and turning away. You look around, trying to find a back door or something that would allow you to slip into an alley and not the main street. Finally you find it, and out into the night's shadows you meld. Making your way slowly back to the main street after moving through the alley way and away from the marks house.
As I neared the edge where the neon lights cut the darkness away I removed my mask and my garb, folding it to conceal my mask and putting it into the satchel at my right hip. "A job well done." I thought to myself slowly making my way back towards the spaceport. I would stop somewhere first to grab a bite to eat and then from there it would be Orbit, and Nar Shadda.

You head from the dinner to the space port, you weren't sure if Nar Shaddaa would prove a safe planet to try to sell these on. Too many fellow thieves, cut-throats, and brigands that would sooner take you to a false lead and rob you than give you the credits you were after. No, you'd go to the former planet of Jabba, surely the scum that frequented the backwater planet would still be doing so. You powered up your ship and headed straight towards orbit. It was time for you to get off the planet, before the local authorities found the body and the diamond and jewel theft homicide would be on the HoloNet and the space port locked down.

With Coruscant secured, the Core Worlds exploded with trade. Even the Trade City, on Arkania, felt the effects of this boon as goods flowed from the edges of the Outer Rim to the North to the very factories of Balmorra and shipyards of Foerost toward the Galactic Center. Though this location was nothing like the hub of Brentaal IV, it was still a rather populated place given the securities and prosperity of the Empire. Though there were those that still disliked the rule of the Imperials, none could deny its economic power.

An Arkanian could find anything now in the Trade City. For goods across the Empire and beyond were within every vendors store. One could easily find anything they desired and even order it with ease. The Imperial Guilds Association ensured a healthy presence of the necessary trade that helped Arkania prosper beyond just being a main cloning planet. It was a benefit of being a member of the Empire; stability, prosperity, and... well just those two. One could sleep well at night, have enough to spend for food and necessities and still have plenty to save and buy something themselves. Ah! What life to be an Imperial citizen!
