Six accepted the councilors help in standing, but she did not forget custom. With her other hand she held her golden gaffi stick, always having it by hand, as all tusken do. She did not answer the Councilor that spoke in basic, although she was rather startled by it. She contemplated saying "I was held against my will, but it is over now", but stopped herself. She remembered an other of her mistresses lessons. "Say the truth, nothing but the truth, leaving nothing out. Even if it is a lie."
-Six in Tusken- "The Banshe Clan already know of the Tusken people. Of Nartaga, and the Sith that holds the people of Sand close, Jud'ayus. They know of the shortage of Tebana gas, they know of Sand and how it corrodes and makes technology weak. They also respect the Tusken clans for their love of nature, their bond with the planet. And... they wish to make amends for taking one of the Tusken as their own.
The Banshee Clan offers a gift to the Tusken people."
She leaned down and pulled out a datapad from her pack. Activating it, the datapad showed the enclave from above and afar. Anyone with mild knowledge of this area would recognise it.
-Six in Tusken- "Two Spy satelites. One for ground guarding, and one with sensors and communications to the stars. The ability to see beyond the two suns, and beyond the next dune, a gift from the Banshe Clan to the people of the sand. An apology."
She didnt get up, reaching the datapad to Nartaga from a humbled position.Yes, she spoke truth that the Banshees and the mistress knew Nartaga, and knew Jud'ayus. She masked her lie with this truth, because to be frank, she didnt know what she had said. There were points when she said anything, just to gain a minute or two of rest. And when she was learning basic, she rambled many times in both languages. So, even if she didnt want to lie, she didnt know what she had allready said. She only knew that she had spoken, spoken a lot. For some time, speaking was the only thing she was permitted to do. No sight, no touch, no movement, just her jaw and her throat doing the work. But, she had learnt a lot too. She learned of Nartaga the wise and guarding leader of the Tusken, and Jud'ayus, the questionable Sith Lord. What she didnt know was the fact that she now stood in front of Nartaga.

Rik'Ur spoke out at the mention of the Sith Lord, Jud'dayus. He cast his arm, dismissing the ancient Sith.
=Rik'Ur in Tusken= "Jud'dayus is an evil filth that needs to be cleansed from our home! The only reason we do not hunt him down like the womprat he is is because Nartaga does not believe he poses a threat! It was the so called Sith that was behind the Civil War!"
Nartaga gave the other Councilor a look that could be felt even through his mask. Rik'Ur only puffed up his chest in response. Nartaga shook his head and turned once again to Six.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "Excuse Rik'Ur's fervor. He is the leader of our Sentries, and has no trust of Outsiders..."
Gr'Ish spoke up next. His deep voice almost rumbling at the base of the skull of those around him./span]
=Gr'Ish in Tusken= "Outsiders are trouble, but they have their uses. We should take advantage of this opportunity."
Several of the other Councilors nodded in agreement. Nartaga raised his hand to quiet them all.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "We will discuss this matter in private, after we know everything..."
Nartaga looked to Six, trying to read her. The stare could be felt through his goggles.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "I still do not understand this Banshee clan would wish to trade with us. Surely they would want something in return?"

Six nodded. This was important for the mistress, this part of the negotiations. She deemed the people of the sand have one very important quality. Their view of taking slaves. Placing value on sentients.
-Six in tusken- "Trade. The Banshee clan wishes trade of value. The Banshee clan has put work into making these weapons work and operate long time in the desert, time, effort and credits. These things are of Value to the Banshee clan, and that is what they want from the Sand People. That witch is of Value to the Sand People in return. Water, slaves, and knowledge."
Six said, while still holding the datapad in her hand, but raised herself to stand more erect. She will not be humbled in a negotiation, even if that witch she calls the Banshee Clans apology was unanswered. Six also noted all else that was said by the other councilors, for report home.

Nartaga visibly hesitated at the mention of slaves. So they wanted slaves. Nartaga sighed, and tried his best to word what he said next properly. He did not want to upset any Outsiders. He knew their superior technology could easily destroy them.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "The R'Crurak clan does not keep slaves, we free them. We cannot in good conscience enslave just to sell them off for our own purposes. Tatooine expects us to be better than that."
The R'Crurak saw Tatooine as a living entity, akin to a god, and she was a just and true deity. The suns were her guardians, and helped lay judgment on those deemed unworthy of her grace.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "If the Banshee clan truly apologizes for abducting our own kin, they will release them, and allow them to come home, and make their own choices. You are truly Tusken, are you not? Do you not wish to stay in the land of your people, and join us in our mission to reach the stars?"

Smiling was nothing for a tusken. That, six knew, because smiles were not seen under the masks. She didnt have the reflex neither but she had understood the bodylanguage of smiles. She imagined a red lipped smile on yellow skin, one she knew very much. She imagined it, because she was sure that her mistress was smiling. That made Six glad. Why? Because to this question, she knew the answer. She felt closer to her goal.
-Six in tusken- "I am here, Am I not?"
There was nothing else to say, and it was not a lie. She was released, so she was. She was allowed, no... ENCOURAGED to come home. She was in the land of her people, and she joined them. No. Helped them in their mission to reach the stars. Six had become incredibly exited. Adrenaline washed over her, a tsunami of energy. She, a lowly clans lowly child was speaking to the most powerful of her people. She was helping them more then she ever could in a cave. And that, she could thank only the Mistress. There was still a candlelight lit in the darkness, a whisper of hope and resistance. With every triumph of the Banshee inside the Tusken known as Six, the Tusken girl whos name was long forgotten was slowly vanishing, just as the light in that darkness.

Nartaga shook his head. He was shifting the topic, but he could not let one of his own people be enslaved. But perhaps she was too far gone, swallowed up by whatever brain washing they had inflicted on her.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "I mean as master of your own fate. Without anyone commanding you to do something. To stay with your people, and rejoin us, for good. Or to even go out and make your own destiny? Does your soul not yearn for the freedom of the shifting sands?"
Nartaga hung his head. Perhaps it was too late for her, but he would not allow others to follow this Six and become a slave to the Banshee clan.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "We will not trade our kinsmen for power. The cost is too high."
The other Councilors nodded in agreement, even the usually brash Rik'Ur. None would stand for the enslavement of their own kind.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "If there are more reasonable terms we could reach, we will be more than happy to begin negotiations."

That was the only obstacle? She didnt answer the question with purpous before. They had outlined the problem. No TUSKEN slaves.
-6 in tusken- "The Banshee clan wishes trade of value. The banshee clan trades of its own value, to that witch is of value to the Tusken. If the people of dunes do not value their own as slaves, the Banshee clan does not want it."
She spoke very clearly, with strenght behind her voice, and she stood as a wall. For Outsider ears, this sounded horrid.
-6 in Tusken- "See this collar not with pity, because I have earned it with great effort, and would not leave it behind. I ware it not with hate, nor because of restraint. I ware it because it is a symbol of my strength. A strength you may test, if you do not believe me."

K'Shir, the only female Councilor, brought a gloved hand to her mask, and spoke in a motherly tone. She was the mother and grandmother, and even the great grandmother, of many Uli-ah, and she could not help but be appalled at the speech given by Six. She stood up and moved towards Six, and instinctively wrapped her arms around her in an embrace.
=K'Shir in Tusken= "You poor dear. I'm so sorry for all you've had to go through. Why would Outsiders want to enslave Tuskens? We aren't meant to be slaves. We're meant to be free with the sands. Do you not remember what it is like to ride in the Dunes on your Bantha, next to your kinsmen? Do you not miss it?"
Nartaga put his hand on K'Shir shoulder and shook his head. Disappointed, the old Councilor bowed her head and rejoined the other Councilors.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "We do not look down at you in pity. We look at you with sadness at what you have lost; your Tusken spirit. But it is not our place to decide your fate. You are on your own path, and you are the only one who can walk it....You will be treated as one of us as long as you are here, but we are lesser because of your loss..."
Nartaga put his hands together and bowed his head. He mumbled what seemed to be a prayer, perhaps in the name of Six's soul, but just as soon as it had began, it was over.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "If you remember anything from your younger years, you would already know what we deem valuable. We have been a simple people for thousands of years. We need but few necessities to survive. It is only in recent years that the R'Crurak have acquired new technologies. I believe you were able to see the Shuttle on your way to the Great Hall? It was a gift, from another clansmen; Anven Firestar. He is one of few Outsiders to be invited into our clan. In return he gave us a ship. It has been a saving grace for our clan."
Nartaga turned away from Six, and looked to the other Councilors, speaking to all in the room.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "Despite these new luxuries were still retain our heritage, and our souls. We strive for peace and prosperity for all on Tatooine, the Mother of the Kumumgah, and of Tuskens."
The Councilors nodded in agreement. Nartaga turned back to Six.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "We value water, the life force of all living things, the hard work we put in to maintain our borders, those that keep us safe. Above all else we value our heritage, the very thing that makes us Tusken."
Nartaga looked at Six, meeting her goggles with his own, trying to discern anything within.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "Perhaps you should spend some time with your true kinsmen, and relearn what it means to be a Tusken. It may also help you find anything that you believe is worth trade."

The Tusken clan mother startled Six. Those new experiences she had taken to hers, the fear, the pain, the triumph in overcoming these weaknesses and moulding them into herself. None of the the new things she had learned, nor the hate, pity and affection she have felt from Mistress or sisters. None included the affection of true family. The Tusken mothers words moved Six down inside her. So did her words, but not how the Mother thought. Dunes, and riding beasts with her kin. She was promised all that too, from red lips on yellow skin. With the sweet voice in basic and not in horrid hooting. She was promised a new desert, with not lame furry cows, but real beasts, predators, creatures that could level cities following her commands. Adventure, power, and the betterment of all tusken for the sacrifice of one. This all she had been promised by red lips on yellow skin. And it was a young and naive heart it had found.
Six knew that she wouldnt get an answer at once. And she was thankful to be allowed to stay. Baby steps. She was told to make baby steps.
-Six in Tusken- "I wish a task to preform. Something that makes me worthy to stay at a camp."

Nartaga had begun to turn away from Six, and was walking away when she spoke once more. He turned to her and spoke like a father to a young Uli-ah.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "You need not prove yourself to us. Though you have been gone for a time, you are still one of us, but if you feel you must, it is not my place to stop you."
Nartaga walked back toward Six. Several of the other Councilors, Rik'Ur, Ruk'Arr, and Gr'Ish. Each seemed to gaze down upon the female Tusken with a hard, yet still somehow tender gaze. For the bonds that made them a people were strong. It was Ruk'Arr who spoke, the first time since Six had entered the Great Hall. He was the leader of the Shamans of the R'Crurak clan, and while his words were few, his wisdom matched that of Nartaga's.
=Ruk'Arr in Tusken= "By offering, do you have something in mind, that you wish to do? If not, I know of several things that she can do to to prove herself worthy."
Ruk'Arr had long taken a stance against the ancient Elder of the R'Crurak clan, preaching more traditional methods of mysticism and spiritual practices. He saw change as necessary, but only in certain aspects of his daily rituals and beliefs. The place of a female was one of those he did not believe needed to change. Nartaga already knew that the things he had in mind for Six were cleaning, cooking, and caring for the Banthas.
Nartaga had never had a strong liking for Ruk'Arr. His beliefs were outdated, and proven wrong, yet he clung to the pieces of them like a tattered family heirloom. It was broken, yet he kept trying to sew the pieces together, and they never matched. If Six did not have anything in mind, he could already think up several more meaningful ways to prove herself.

There was one last thing before departing the hall that six had to take up, beside answering the councillors...
-Six in tusken- "I can hunt, fight, sing, write, speak basic, operate electronics, maintain and use weapons, I can touch the Force and I also can dance. You are welcome to use any of my skills to use as you wish."
... Question. SHe had a very important question, one that hopefully would gain their trust more. One that outlines the borders and rules she might have to break.
-Six in tusken- "While out there with my Tusken brothers and sisters, may I speak of my time away? May I speak of the offer I brought? The weapons I have? Or do you want to keep my purpouse silent while you decide its fate?"

The Councilors looked to one another and exchanged silent answers through subtle body language. It was Rik'Ur who spoke, leader of the R'Crurak Sentries. He was big, even for a Tusken, just as his predecessor, Or'Rish had been.
=Rik'Ur in Tusken= "We would prefer this deal be kept within these walls. If word got out that we are negotiating for Outsider weapons, powerful ones, it could upset the other clans and cause disorder, or perhaps another War."
Nartaga stepped up to Six, and began to guide her towards the door of the Great Hall.. He spoke in Basic again.
=Nartaga= "It is not so much a task, but I must know. I would like you to tell me everything your captors have put you through, and how long you have been gone."

Her gaze through the mask was stern and dedicated.
-Six, in basic- "I was freed from lies, given a future."
That young and naive heart beat quick. She believed her words, from that very heart, but still some doubt remained.
-Six- "There was a raid a standard year ago by outsiders, Councilor. By spirits, spirits of an other world just like Tatooine, one with a soul. They made a trade of flesh, and never paid. A year has gone, and payment is due."
She didnt want the Councilor to know witch clan she was from at once, there was a war, many clans died out, many were lost. Six hoped it would be hard to track down the Sakkatt clan to question them before a . It was a mistake though, because the shaman and the sentries already knew she asked of the sakkatt clan. Her eager might upset her missions success. plus, she did not want to disrespect the councillor by not answering his question. She waited for the Councilor to accept her answer for the time being and let her out, she was not going to disrespect them by storming out neither.

Nartaga opened the door for Six, and would follow her outside the Great Hall, but stop a few steps from the door. He could not abandon his duty as Head Councilor, his input was needed. No matter how many questions he wished to ask the Tusken female. He only had time for a few. There would always be later.
=Nartaga= "What lies? Surely you cannot believe everything that you were raised to believe was untrue? Most of our beliefs may be outdated, but that does not make them any less true than anything an Outsider could tell you. The Universe is a wondrous place, and there are many questions only the heart can answer for itself, not be instilled in by fear of repercussions for believing otherwise."
Nartaga was indeed worried for Six. He had also been beyond Tatooine, and while he had seen many great and beautiful things, he had seen some of the worst the worlds outside his own had to offer. He could only imagine what the world of the Outsiders had doen to her.
=Nartaga= "You say you are of the Banshee clan, but no clan exists on Tatooine. Who are they allied with? Who is your master? Surely if they are as powerful as you believe, then why would they have interest in us? There is more to this that you have not told us."

She stopped and laid a hand on Nartagas shoulder in a reassuring way.
-Six in Tusken- "Dont always expect the worst, Councilor. I was freed from lies, not truth. The Banshee clan were... difficult. -In tusken- Complicated. -Tusken end-. They thanked me for the wisdom of my people. How to filter water in the desert, how to hold heat without cloth in the night, how to read trails and feel the wind. They wished me to stay tusken, and so I remain. The banshee clan freed me from the illusion of freedom and gives me a purpose. Something else to do with myself then clean and cook and breed a clan.
When I saw what wonders their world held, technology, training, and their bond, I feared not for me, I feared for my people. I feared that one day my people would be in the way for a Force, and that Force would swat my people down like a desert buzzard. I was asked. Six, what wish you do? I answered, to help my people. Councilor, I was taken by force, but I remain Six of the Banshee Clan by will. All I wish is equal trade. You have already given something of Value. For that, you are given eyes in both dune and stars. Please, for me, at least this you accept."
It was felt that her Basic wasnt spot free, still a language she mastered. She let go of the councillor, unsure if she had done him wrong. The words had come to her so quick, so hasty her emotions controlled her words. She had hard time holding them back. She didnt lie, she was given this choice and she answered as told in her story. To Six, this was a great and charitable gift from her Mistress for accepting the Banshee life. This in itself put a huge wall between her new life and her Tusken life. Six believed she was doing good.
Six Believed.

Nartaga did not move when Six set her hand upon his shoulder, instead he listened, trying to pick apart every word that came from her lips. There was something missing. Nartaga felt that something was amiss in the deepest parts of his soul. This did not settle well, but he believed Six. He believed that she believed what she was saying. She had given up her name for them. Surely that imbued extremely loyalty. And while he did not completely trust whoever was truly behind this Banshee clan, he tried to understand and accept that Six was trying to help her kinsmen. Perhaps he was just being paranoid. He bowed his head in apology to Six.
=Nartaga= "I am sorry if my questions offend you, Six. But you must understand, I have the fate of a whole people on my shoulders, as do the other Councilors. I am one of the few who have left Tatooine. I have seen some of what the Universe has to offer. Your offer is generous...but we have to consider it carefully. We will not forgo our souls and morals for the ability to slay our enemies."
Nartaga put his left hand to his chest, and with his right touched Six's mask. Under his robes was the Kuummgah crystal he had acquired long ago, and it glowed unseen beneath his robes as he tapped into its power. Six would feel this energy flow into her, the spirits of thousands of the Tuskens' ancestors, the Kumumgah. It was a non-formal blessing Nartaga was giving her, power that few other than Nartaga himself knew of.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "Enjoy yourself while you are here. That is all you need do. Tatooine welcomes you back to her warm sand with open arms, as do the R'Crurak in her name."
And then the energy stopped, and Nartaga rested his arms by his sides. He was now visibly tired. He held himself well, but his breath was quickened, and when he spoke he sounded winded.
=Nartaga= "If you still wish to make yourself useful, I am sure you will be able to find something to do in the Enclave. Many live here, and I'm sure they could use the help of a capable young Tusken. There is also the Plateau, where the Sentries train, and we are building our ship."
Nartaga pointed up to the right mountain, and the carved trail in the living mountain up to it.

-Six- "I understand, Councilor. You will decide in time and I will accept your decision."
Then, something unexpected happened. The councilor touched her mask. Six was used to being touched by now, and didnt flinch away, but what her felt was something new. She felt uplifted, filled with energy to do things. She felt the force wash over her. All she could say when it was done was:
-Six in Tusken- "Thank you"
Looking in the direction nartaga pointed, she thought a moment. With this new energy, thoguhts came easier, and she realised she had a different way to fullfill her task.
-Six in tusken, loud enough for other tusken to hear in close proximity- "A starship, councilor? I am glad to hear, but have you thought into the future? What happens when the tusken reach the stars? How many of the sand people can speak Basic? How many can fly? I do not wish to give these weapons to slay enemies, Councilor. I wish to give them so every tusken can protect their family, so every tusken can hunt, so my people can be ready if death comes from the stars. I thank you for the trust you give, by showing me this, but think of the future. If the tusken wish to reach the stars, you need help. I can try to give that help.
Think on it Councilor."
She walked along with the councilor, and it was then she realised, she didnt know his name...
-Six in tusken- "I am sorry elder, but I didnt... didnt get your name."

Nartaga shook his head at the younger Tusken's questions. Once again he spoke to Six like a caring father, quieting the cries of an upset child. The Sentries guarding the doors to the Great Hall looked at one another and shrugged. Just another political protestor, or something or other. Several other Tuskens stopped for a moment before seeing that the younger Tusken was speaking to Nartaga. It was not a conversation she was bound to win.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "I think of the future more and more every day I see into the past. We have accomplished in a few years what took our ancestors millenia to do. The R'Crurak fight every day to keep our dreams going, despite others saying we should stay here, on Tatooine, forever. We compromise where we can, and do what we must to keep going."
Nartaga paused for a moment to look up at the Suns.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "Above all else, our people are afraid of what is out there. Many believe we will follow the path of the Kumumgah, but we are stronger than them."
Nartaga looked down from the Suns and back to Six.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "I have no doubts the transitions will be rough. Few speak Basic. Few wish to. That is their choice. There are mechanical devices that can translate our speech until they are willing to learn it themselves. As for flying, the Sentry guard take regular rotations flying the Bantha assault shuttle. We are taking small steps, it is the only thing we can do. I do not expect us to go out into the stars and suddenly amass an Empire. It will be a long time before Tuskens leave Tatooine en mass. If we force change more quickly, the result could be horrible. You should know more than most that we are mostly a people stuck in our ways. To change that too fast could enrage the masses, destroying everything we've worked for."
Nartaga paused, and chuckled. He had forgotten that Six was not familiar with him, and bowed in introduction out of respect.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "I am Nartaga Krish'Rak'R'Crurak, Head Councilor of the R'Crurak clan. I am sorry the introduction comes with your leave of the Great Hall.

-Six in tusken- "I am bound to return, am I not?"
With a cheerfull (however you can honk and gargle cheerfully in tusken) tone. And she took Nartagas point.
-Six in tusken- "Your words speak wisdom Elder, and I udnerstand. It is your decision to make and I have said mine. I know I am still young, and have a lot more to experience before deciding the fate of an entire people.
I will go out to hunt. I have not hunted in these dunes before. Was one thing I always wanted to do."
Six looked out over the dunes mezmerized, allready longing for the hunt. She did a lot of hunting on Juvex, but the pray... the pray walked on two legs.

Nartaga chuckled a bit uncomfortably at being called Elder. He was not even to his thirty fifth season.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "Please, call me Nartaga. I am still years off from being an Elder. And if you knew our previous one, those are large boots to fill."
Nartaga bowed again to Six, and gestured for her to be on her way.
=Nartaga in Tusken= "I must take my leave back to the Council. We will take your offer seriously. Though I cannot foresee the answer we will give, I can promise you it will be in the best interests of all Tuskens. I wish you the best of luck on your hunt, Six. Perhaps we shall feast on your kill, while discussing the terms of the trade agreement?"
With that Nartaga bowed once more and turned back to the Great Hall, opening the doors. The other Councilors could be seen already discussing the matter at hand, and Nartaga sat down and joined in. The large door closed, and the Sentries stepped in front of it. No one else would be getting back into the Great Hal while the Council was discussing this, and it would be some time before they came up with a decision.
