Can I put the suggestion forth that we use the maps on the cold war page for what we control regionally? Like the hyperspace lanes or whatever they are.

I would like to propose that the Ojom sector remain "neutral" for the opening scenes of the cold/civil war IR SL.
Also, Xeo, I think you have Prakith which has just received it's first recon post. Khomm, should get one tomorrow afternoon/evening.

I can work on the Prakith government for you. I am all for them being neutral at first, he'll I have been playing it as the opening days. For all my NPC knows you guys are still loyal. Well maybe not Khomm, but Foerost for sure.

Fair enough, Foerost isn't about to burst your little bubble there, shoot, you might even receive legit aid from foerost. (granted you will also be receiving a few commando units...) Though that op hasn't even been planned yet, and may not be ever... I'll have to think on that idea a bit. I'd say it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to send ambassadors to each other, even if we just use cheap droids to minimize costs/losses. Especially at the beginning, as we test loyalties and borders.
Also... why is Foerost in the core on the maps, but in the Deep Core on JvS?

That's always irked me as well, Aaragu is in the same boat. Near as I can tell though the maps are open for debate. Maybe just to justify having it there (the thread) I was in much the same boat. I was thinking like the red phone the president and commie leader had during the cold war. Contact if needed but you know, not really talking. Ambassador could work. Just so that to the outside universe we appeared strong and such.

Okay, I kinda saw the "Expendable" protocol droids as the red phone of SW as they're relatively cheap and easy to maintain. It would also allow for nearly instantaneous communication with relative security, as the parties most likely to successfully eaves drop on the conversation are those doing the communicating. Aargau and Khomm are likely to get a "red" droid some time this week, if I don't get lost in school work.... >.>

Because the whills don't always pay attention to the latest info in favour of tradition (Aaragu & Foerost are near the deep core but not technically part of it, something that wasn't established fully back during the days of 1.0). I should have another post or two from Marcos up today (getting rid of the windbag & his first openly aggressive moves).

First off, its a gender swapped species swapped rainbow dash from mlp. Secondly I had it until today because of a lost bet. After today there will be skulls taking its, place,
Xeos dead, Prakith stalled out, IR just clinging to life. Pretty much we are warlords in the DC while appearing as a unified force to the outside world.

Dibs on the ring, it will make a nice diplomatic gesture later.... Also, Dibs on Ojom. I'm roping my roomate into joing the site, the IR, and this SL all at once, and we're buikding his character as the Moff of the Ojom Sector... I hope that doesn't ruin any plans in the works. And no, I'm not bringing him in to be my right hand throughout the RP. He'll be acting as his own entity just like the rest of us.

I'm the guy he's talking about, sorry, I've been a bit slow to getting around to this. I'm relatively new to this style of roleplay but I'm eager to learn.

BP is apparently bogged down with RL stuff. :/ not bad stuff, as I understand it, just busy stuff. I sent him a PM, so maybe we'll see something soonish from that quarter.

Honestly, if we hope to maintain the "united front" against outsiders, which I do both IC and OoC, I kinda have to at least attempt to aid you in this fight. And besides, it'll allow both of us to do get a taste of how each of our forces work individually and together.

Also, do we want to make that an official standing? As in we decide to some agreement or another that turns the IR's many fragments into a central Moffia-esque, pardon the pun, it was intentional, group that agrees to limit their own ... "development focus" to a particular area. (ie, Aarghau focuses on building the finances of the IR, occasionally offering loans to other Moffs, or their equivalent, to aid them in the pursuit of their goals. While Foerost builds ships, perhaps leasing a few of them to other "Moffs" in exchange for money, resources, and/or troops. Khomm would lease military units for ships, money, and other resources,. Ojom, if the man will ever get around to posting, can handle acquisition and resale of perishable goods and other raw materials in exchange for the other commodities. In this way each of us maintains a their own power base, but isn't left scrambling for the rest of the things they need.
And we could come up with a "civilized" form of settling disputes. (all planets except for Khomm may use mock infantry combats, with weapons on stun. All planets except Foerost may use Fighter squadron duels, with primary armament being Ion cannons, etc... I'm not sure how Khomm and Foerost would settle something in a "civilized" manner but I'm sure someone can think of something. perhaps a game of holo-chess? Sabacc is to chancy for my tastes.)

That is totally something we can strive towards in fact its very nice. As Nase is doing stuff on Corulag just now mayhap we can have a few half hearted attacks, ways to sabotage the other and then we sort out the differences.
