Hey guys. Sorry I have just vanished and left you guys hanging. I just didn't feel the vibe with JvS like I used to, but I am gonna try to get back into it. Has anyone taken over my spot or do I still have it?

Don't feel obligated to come back because of me griping, that's what I do for six months of the year here. Honestly after you left Gabe followed and the rest stopped posting. A number of people have been working on becoming members of the IR since then 4 or 5 I think.
If you want your spot back she is all yours because there has been no advancment for us. NOE guys are gone as well.

From an OOC point of view we recruit. Recruit like the NOE and Jennies on steroids. Focus on whhhat we did before, less force users (thats my job) and more on non forcies. Build up people who like to write as soliders, fleets politicians and so on. Focus less on galactic conquest and only on the stories we write especially now. Oh and if you pray, pray for our vets to come back.
As forIC I am training a couple new Imp Knights as well as building a bunker for emergencys. Group up and write something. Maybe getting Nica out of the Deep Core while the battle over Prakith is happening and bring him to Thule for something or another.
Boring ass political RP but maybe talk to one of the other RPers to have a surgical strike. Then again I am bad at planning but what we need to do is show people we will not go silentlt into the night. We will not go without a fight.

As soon as the SL over Ojom is wrapped up, Adari will be an unofficial member of the IR. A short, or long, political SL later that status will become official. With Adari, come the character "Pawn," a master puppeteer who likes to hide in plain sight.

Marcos is probably going to be filling a nice stormtrooper/army officer type role. Technically in charge of stuff, but more interested smashing heads.

Alright I think its time we have another Council meeting. Get some new people promoted for their achievements, get some plans made and do a roll call in a ways. Who agrees with this?
And I was thinking of, since the NOE seems to have vanished, we can aim to retake some of their worlds as a means of safekeeping in case they do return. And perhaps we can make some ideas for roleplay with the Galactic Republic. Sort of how the canon Imperial Remnant decided to make peace with the New Republic and have collaboration with them. Which will help us regain our strength while still having a good ally.
I got some new ideas from an early bday present I got yesterday, Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare.

There really isnt enough people to do promotions and stuff is the problem. You me, and John are around. The rest are just looking for regular solider jobs.
I dont even know if we need to do that. If it was two years ago yes, planet hording was bad then. Now though there isnt a problem, people stick to their own worlds and I would be willing to put money on no one taking their worlds before they return.
I do have contacts with people in the Jedi order IC and OOC it wouldnt be to hard for me to be introduced to a few from the Jedi. I like the idea though, peace with them. At least for now.

Well, I'm down for training, time-skips, or anything else you guys need. From Soldier to Spy, I'd be down with just about anything you guys want of me

Well, Marcos has the raw ability to be good at directing fleets & armies. His personality on the other hand would lead to him making stupid mistakes once someone figured out how to push his buttons (think Khan in "Wrath of Khan"). He also doesn't have any experience with that kind of thing (nor the personal desire at this point). What I would really like to do with him is work him up the ladder the 'slow' way, mainly focusing on his character growth more than the growth of his rank.
Anyway, I could do a small time skip with him. I'm willing to skip him going through boot camp, being a stormtrooper for a while, & getting his first command. Basically start him out as a Major with a Battalion of Novatroopers under his command (& a ship with escort for transport). (448 troopers, 64 corporals, 64 Sergeants, 16 Lieutenants, 16 Sergeant Majors, & 4 Captains.) (1 Escort Carrier, 72 TIE/ad starfighters, & 6 Lambda-class T-4a shuttles)

Ok. I have an idea that might give Marcos a bit of a personal edge, help give the boot-camp a bit more exciting a vibe, and maybe even put my char under enough suspicion to get him a good looking at, prompting his loyalty.
Basic training nowadays is hampered by the fact that you can't accurately test for live combat. Even shooting rubber bullets at people is more likely to just get them bruised, there's no real idea of what is effective. But in Star Wars, armies have access to stun blasters, blasters that simulate someone being shot, complete with the pain and loss of limb control, and when properly shot, "death" that slugs don't have.
So if we want to keep the training camp bit, why don't we do a mock battle? Marcos gets put in charge of a squad of troops, sees how good it feels to lead, to direct, and gives him a taste of what's to come. Titan get's placed on either another squad, and we go free-for-all, or with Marcos, and we go up against Xeo's writing. We can skip the basic training bits over, and just proceed straight towards the mock battle if you guys aren't down for polishing armor.

I agree, best to timeskip and make him a Stormtrooper Commander.
