I like the idea of 7 better. That's my vote. That way it won't be too crazy of a posting order and people can get other things taken care of as well.

I kinda stick to the ideas MER put forward earlier with one councilor per academy and then one or two (so there is an odd number) to rep the order in general, I think that is 5 for my vote
And as to my running, I will let my colleagues if a newly minted master is worthy of a seat at the council

Yavin, Corellia, Belkadan/Felucia, Ossus. If Yavin, is going to be included, if not, it can be supplement with another planet I imagine. Original count, by Devlin I believe, was four for academies which would put it at 6 if you count drifter councilors. Not really sure if that helps, lol, seeing as it lands directly between the two current options.

I was just reminded that Honoghr also has an academy, so with that and the 2 drifter councilors, it would be 7. Just for clarity, if it goes down to 5, either every academy will have a representative with no representation for the homeless Jedi, or an academy will have to be cut loose to allow for 'drifter' representation. Not sure if I care either way, just thought it should be noted. If it's not about representation and council members will have to appreciate all aspects of the jedi order, then disregard this comment.

I vote 5. Less people means less clutter, in my humble and non-professional opinion.

I'm used to quoting votes and adding my own, and I figure it would be better to keep it more present, especially since it was on the last page. But I agree, the smaller the Council, the better.
What I haven't been able to figure out myself is whether or not we're asking the High Council to stay centralized on Coruscant, or just at least be easily-accessed there.

Ideally, we would have 7, but I don't think we have enough active Jedi right now to warrant that large a council, so my vote is for 5. We could always add 2 more later.
I don't think those Jedi should be rooted to Coruscant, but they should ensure easy access by using holos, NPCs, holding "office hours" etc.
