Tell us about your Character Ishmael, so we can better understand where/how you're looking to fit in. Crom'nen that'll be an epic split, and while Darma is nominally for the Jedi, He's not enjoying this interruption, and is surprised that Yavin is still under blockade even without Republic assistance, he had kinda assumed that the shear number and skill of the jedi would quickly end the conflict, in their favor no less, the war is making him take a serious look into the Jedi as a whole, and he's finding that some are far less beneficial than he had assumed, though he is also finding that there are plenty of jedi who do really try to practice their beliefs, which often don't quite match the Council's mindless dogma, and is seeking to give these Jedi the resources they need to further their service to the republic, and the galaxy at large. And yes, this is mostly OOC, but the seeds are there IC, not that Darma is aware of them, but they're their waiting for a bit of rain. )

I remember at the founding father republic that the Jedi and the republic were intended to be seperate organizations that worked together rather than the Jedi being subject to oversight, that being said things change and government tension with Jedi is always interesting to write about. If it is coming based off Ryloth then might I suggest coming after me? By a strange feat of technicality I was the Senior Jedi in the system at the time, although I was an observer rather than being in command. Not to mention Alkor (who technically was in charge) has only recently come to us would create less of an anti-Jedi atmosphere since it would almost certainly appear as if he was just going dark again if put on trial.

Admit it Mike, you just want to be chased. If that's the case and the Republic is willing to hire a second hand party... please feel free to give me a call. I shall give you a hunt that you'll never forget and for an added fee, I'll even bring him back alive... ish.

Crom'nen never has trusted the Jedi, believing that people with power want power, and that they are either trying to deceive everyone, or are themselves so stupid as to not realize what they have. He also used to be idealistic, but in his travels saw too much evil, so he believes all idealists to be childish.
Mike, you are right that the Republic and Jedi are seperate, but as the Jedi command Republic ships and crews, Crom'nen plans to bring them up on charges as Naval Officers, and if they deny being such, charge them with piracy of Republic ships. The truth is, he's what I've come to call a "heroic bad guy" usually doing good, but always for the wrong reasons. Crom'nen's history includes that he tried to execute a prisoner once, and a Jedi stopped him from doing so, even going so far as to release the prisoner to protect him from Crom'nen. The prisoner went on to commit a terrorist act, and Crom'nen blamed that Jedi for it, and subsequently all Jedi for not doing enough to save people whom they claim to protect. The abandonning of Ryloth serves to, in his mind, prove he was right all along.
That's Crom'nen's twisted psychology, anyway.
Man this character is fun.

Tell us about your Character Ishmael, so we can better understand where/how you're looking to fit in. I've recently come into ownership of the planet Kamino and its cloning facilities. As an unaffiliated Sith Lord in a big scary galaxy, I seek a partnership with the GR for mutual protection and benefit. I know the Republic is rather closely aligned with the Jedi, but the two are separate, yes? Then my lack of affiliation with any formal Sith group should mean there are no obstacles preventing a partnership between us...I would assume, anyway. Let me know if you think such a partnership could be achieved.

Selee, of course I can be trusted. Just look at my signature!
Seriously though people, I never wanted to by involved in a battle with fleets, etc, and have been fighting one on Ryloth. I am NOT defending Coruscant. Sorry if this seems like shirking responsibility, but I just can't do it.
Crom'nen might just have to sponsor Kamino into the senate. After all, my anti-Jedi views are well known enough that Ish would be able to find them as a matter of public record.

Dude, this might come as a very ... usual request nowdays, but no battle is ensuing out of Sels making on coruscant.
Sel wants to join the Republic too.
and yes, we had a little discussion abut this with Ish. The two requests are tottaly unrelated IC or OOC, just found out yesterday that we both kinda wanted the same thing LOL

Yeah I understand the philosophy, just needed to mention that little bit of trivia. haha.
But in any case Just thought I'd offer myself as a victim for trial and such, especially since I don't mind being hunted and using Adi as a meat shield.

This Republic might be the best one ever! Just as long as everyone agrees to do whatever Crom'nen says (jk).
Mike, I'm thinking less of a hunt and more of a subpoena (which I had to look up how to spell. Never knew it had a 'b' in it.).

Yes it does have a b... never understood that.
And yeah I figured that's what you meant, but I couldn't resist the Adi meat shield joke. Although truthfully you'll probably have to hunt me just to send me a subpoena

Nah. I'd just deliver it to the Council, and prosecute them if they don't deliver every Jedi involved.

I'd love that since I don't think they know where I am either... although they probably do... but that would be kind of funny.... but that's another story.

Hello all, in regards to the terrorist issue, I was thinking I would NPC a guard Captain who will deliver some new information to the military counsel, that is the who and the why. If that's cool with everyone let me know.

What do you all think, should he deliver it to the committee, or to the Jedi and others who arrived there to lead the investigation?

I'm not really in a position to help defend Coruscant, either. I'm overstretched as it is. I can provide backup in any emergency, but I have no time to write another SL otherwise.

What do you all think, should he deliver it to the committee, or to the Jedi and others who arrived there to lead the investigation? Probably makes more sense to go to the investigators. Going all the way to the top, to the military committee would probably violate the Senate Guard chain of command...?

Lawdy Sel. Looks like you could just take Coruscant at this point.
