We are times of emergency, people! I have already assumed authoritative power under. . .some obscure provision you've never heard of.

Now only if you guys put a fraction of this effort into the Galactic Senate. My, my, what wonders would be wrought.

Darma, I hope you don't think I overstepped. I know this is your deal, but I'm just trying to keep it moving. Also, not sure how much posting I'll be able to do (if any) so I wanted to get in what I could now.

Not at all, those were excellent posts. Besides, politicians are always trying to steal credit for the others' ideas, achievements and plans, at least the dishonest ones are. So it's expected in a political RP.

There are honest politicians? Where are you from man? And is there chance for migration?
Erm... Koronov, you know I love you longtime, but I hope if its not a really rude thing if we move on while you are away...
will have a post up soon Darma

Am I wrong for laboring under the understanding that the Mando attacks happened within a matter of days from each other? That's what i remembered before everyone quit. Which makes it stand to reason that the military committee meeting and providing their report to the floor would be given their due diligence until the DT comes to hijack the agenda.

Yeah, you're wrong with that assumption. The Second Mandalorian Crusade lasted around three months - from the opening Shots at Yavin to the Dark Tide victory at Kuat.

Thanks to all who replied to me in the Senate and allowed me to push the Cold War forward. I appreciate it!

You might want to edit that post of yours Darma. While I'm sure it was a mistake - it should be Lord Sinistra rather than lady. If its kept the way it currently is, I feel the cold war won't last very long.

Actually that was an intentional mistake, and a political point. If that makes any sense. I enjoyed the RP very much, and am hoping to help kick things off with a bit of a rocky but irrevocable start with this not so innocent "accident." (I hope you don't mind to much Sin)

I mind.
I get why it happens IC, but if the VC had come in contact with any intelligence briefs on her ( as they should have before her address or at all since she controls a large and powerful faction that just beat the Mandos), it should have been noted how to properly address her. That's like a huge slap in the face, especially in a diplomatic setting. It's not an insult she's likely to forget and really, is a Sith Lord really the one you want to piss off? She ordered a mass genocide on Jabiim and attacked the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. The only reason she isn't in irons and in custody is that it would raise hostilities between the Republic and Dark Tide, which is not something the Republic would want. So she has diplomatic privileges for her current visit but off Coruscant, she should be public enemy #1.
OOC, it pisses me off incredibly because no one seems to do it to Jedi females. Knight and Master are uniform and there are canon examples of female lords of the Sith. No matter how much I try to express that from an OOC standpoint, I dislike it, people who I consider friends continue to press my buttons for an IC rise out of my character and really there isn't a damn thing she can do about it because I can't call hits on people. All it does is piss off Sarah.
It's been 7 years of this. I'm tired of beating my head on a brick wall.
[/two cents]
Also, there was a typo in one of my posts. I have corrected it now, but it should have said "I will not sulk into the shadows..."

Forgive me, I am not as cultured in sith and jedi lore as ought to be, I though most Sith went by lord or lady in the same way a medival nobility did. I see my mistake and the insult, though intended is far more grievous than I thought, editing now.

You weren't the only one. The Jedi did it. Crom'nen did it.
It never ends.

Very sorry, not many here play a female the way you do. Atia is called mistress, and that's the only other female sith I know of. :/ If i had more time I might start a sith character just to get to know the writers on that side of the site better. Just because everyone is jumping off a cliff doesn't mean it's a good idea to follow them, I have known this for a long time and for whatever reason I chose to jump anyway this time. I apologize for upsetting you with my foolishness and hope that we can continue to RP together, albeit from opposite sides of a cold war. I shall endeavor to educate my colleagues as it comes up in the republic side of the RP.
