so long as you headshot them, the pew-pew gun should be fine  personally decapitation will be my chosen method of take down's. Besides, I am sure we could chuck in a few non-living-dead into the mix to make it interesting, maybe some Massassi abominations, or some nexu. I'm sure if Belial wants something, there'll be some pretty twisted things guarding it of various shapes and form. Either way, I'm up for the space station/SSD idea. |

Spectre is totally geared towards zombie killing. My question is....Why smugglers? Mercs would be waaaaaaaaaaaay better equipped to deal with this type of situation.

While it is true that a team of armed mercenaries would be able to handle whatever comes their way, no one is supposed to know of the current state of the space stations previous occupants. With such facts in mind, why would someone such as my character spend more of his /hard-earned/ credits on a team of grizzled rent-a-soldiers for something as simple as a snatch and run? (Albeit one that goes bad.)
And as I alluded to in my first post, with the task being handled through several proxy agents, I would like the recovery of this relic to be as clandestine as possible. There are several undesirable individuals I would rather not garner the IC notice of until the appointed time. Thus, as Smugglers have a generalized reputation for moving objects from point A to point B with no one being the wiser, why not come to one of the best?

While what you have to say does have merit, I still maintain that Mercs would be better suited. However, Smugglers are more....clandestine, as you put it. But not always the best equipped. While Ade does employ and maintain an awesome rep, down side is we are new to each other. We haven't exactly figured our dynamics as a group yet. Maybe I am the more cautious of the group? This is a good idea for a story. Scratch that, it is an excellent idea. Should we all survive this horror, I'm sure the artifact will leave an impression on everyone in it's proximity. Leaving us with the moral/ethical conundrum of "do we let them have it and further their goals or do we do what's right and let the right people know what's going on?" Basically do we worry about our rep or do we let the good guys know what is going on? I just think we should wait for what Ade says. That's my vote. But an all together good idea for rp Varro.

Well I for one think it's an awesome idea, the outcome however is something that we would have to figure out IC based on what happens IC, I don't want to predetermine anything. Also other than giving us some action this story would serve as a catalyst to bring the group together. I think we'll find how united people will become when the only think between them and death is the people at their back, strangers or otherwise. As for the 'bad guys' I think Sith zombies would work nicely, though I agree with Fenrir about adding in some live enemies. Perhaps people corrupted by the artifact?
Anyway I vote we take this head on.

I'm all for the undetermined ending, it makes things more interesting that way - both IC and OoC. However, I'm only willing to take a portion of the credit in regards to this idea, the rest should go to the good Captain for giving me the framework. 
Considering the artefact in question, the possibility of encountering people corrupted by it's power, is very - very high. I'll draw up the NPC's and their backgrounds later on this weekend, I'd do it right now but having my plate full with several projects makes my muse somewhat temperamental.

Yeehah! I posted.  Spectre, interesting battle by the way, Mandalorians are such dangerous fighters. And so are pilots with sawed-off projectile blasters, evidently. Will I get to see Fenrir popping his claws and calling someone "bub." by the way? Not poking fun or insulting anyone (I hope), but I thought it'd be a fun cliché to see...er, that is, as long as I'm not on the business end of said claws of course.
