Spread over the second and third levels of the Praxeum, the Archives of the Yavin IV Praxeum are an impressive sight. Perhaps not as grand as the Library of Ossus or the Main Archives of the Coruscant Temple, the collection of knowledge stored here is still overwhelming to a young mind, and one could spend years without even scratching the surface of this information repository. Holocrons, Holovids, ancient flimsiplast and paper documents, HoloNet access, and a large, dedicated server mean that the Galaxy is practically at a student's fingertips upon stepping inside, and there are plenty of tables and quiet workstations (with computers already set up) for the inquisitive to take advantage of. Every member of the Praxeum has an access code to view files and information here, though some knowledge is restricted to the upper echelons of the Jedi Order, meaning that younger Initiates will not have full privileges until they can be trusted with potentially dangerous or scarring knowledge. This is done to protect younger minds from secrets they are not meant to know yet, and this regulation is rather strictly enforced in order to encourage patience in students. All will be revealed in time, after all.

The Mandalorians have brought war to the Galaxy once more. Under the leadership of Mand'alor ASHRAH INTALBO, and his General CORR VHETT, they have begun a campaign against the Galaxy's Force Users. The Jedi World of Yavin IV was the first hit, a strike at one of the greatest Jedi strongholds. The Mandalorians took YAVIN STATION, the mighty orbital defence platform, thanks to a brilliant infiltration strategy by DUKE AUSTRALIS, and under the order of Jedi Master DAV MAN'SELL, the Jedi forces retreated from orbit. With the Jedi fleets scattered, the Mandalorians took their attack to the surface.
However, the Jedi defences were not so easily overcome. With starfighter cover lead by Jedi Master JAGO PULASTRA, and ground defences overseen by Jedi Knight ADI MATANGO and Falleen strategist TZA'UAX, the Jedi were able to force the Mandalorians to withdraw to orbit. However, the defence is not without sacrifice - redeemed former Dark Sider DACE CONCORDIA, at the beginning of his path to reclaim the mantle of Jedi, was slain by the Mand'alor in bloody, vicious combat.
Now the Mandalorians are settling in for a long siege on the Praxeum, blockading the planet and seeking constantly to take out the shield generator and ion cannons that form the backbone of the Praxeum's defence. Dav, Jago, and the other resident Jedi of Yavin lead the hard fought and desperate defence, whilst Adi, working with Master WILL SON'TIR and Jedi Knight DIAMONTE TUHLUTE, and the Jedi Watchmen, seeks to prepare the Jedi, and the worlds of the Republic, for the inevitable assault to come....

Rawkill remained almost passive as Ander grabbed the last of his gear and headed out of the archives. The Republic Commando's reported in from all over the Temple, confirming the withdrawal of GALSAF forces, whilst doing their own sweeps of the building to make sure each and every last member of GALSAF, and any potential tracking devices or bugs they left behind were well and truly removed. The Ewok Jedi Master was sure he still had a good amount of work ahead of him though, purging the system of any malicious coding Ander had planted or tried planting in the system. Although he was still uncertain how they gained access, he would be certain to make sure none of this same coding was reintroduced, which would mean setting technicians to the task of specifically targetting any coding that should not be there. He was going to make sure GALSAF never tried their hokey moves around Jedi Data again, something he was stumped as to why the Yavin IV Jedi had never taken care of in the past, considering the kind of security risks leaving a system of this magnitude vulnerable would create. He then nodded to the Republic Commando's that had accompanied Admiral Ju'unthor and himself to the Archives, before they spread out through the Archives. It was at this point that Rawkill received an encoded message over starnet from Diamonte, requesting his presence in the Strategy Center, with regards to a very important matter. Rawkill sent an affirmative ping as he turned back to Admiral Ju'unthor=Jedi Master Rawkill=Admiral, ensure your men take control of The Temple of Exar Kun and The Temple of the Blueleaf Cluster. Make sure our presence here remains strong as well, and get those tech's over to the Yavin Station. Have the Thuk and the Theesdarat use their tractor beams to help the station maintain it's orbit if need be. In the meanwhile, it seems Master Tuhlute has some information to share... The Admiral gave an affirmative nod as Rawkill made his way out of the Archives and headed up through the Temple to the Strategy Room. The Commando's meanwhile spread out through the Archives as Ju'unthor relayed orders to commando's in other parts of the Temple and to the Fleet in orbit

Jedi Master Rawkill made his way into the Jedi Archives, where a group of Republic Technicians and Labourers were already attending to repairs within the Archives, since some areas had recieved physical damage during the Mandalorian Invasion and a couple shelves had suffered minor dents during GALSAF's stay. Rawkill's main concern, however, was not with the physical state of the shelves and room, but with the multitude of non physical data which teams of Tech's were already running through a series of different terminals, looking for any data specific to the Yavin Temple. Following this, the data would be manually copied into a seperate system, to avoid any outdated codes that should never work from being copied into the main system. The work in the Yavin Archives was just the start of a wider plan to ensure all Jedi archives were linked to the Main Temple on Coruscant, so as to ensure a more connected repositroy of Jedi Information. It would also help prevent any further incidents, such as the one in which GALSAF had unbelievably managed to gain access to the Archives here on Yavin. Looking at Rawkill you would not think he had any technical know how, but that was just one of the surprises about Rawkill. Along with his intense study of the Force on his journey, Rawkill had studied under some of the greatest minds in the technical world, working hard to gain as much understanding as he possibly could. He knew, better than most, the limits of technology and how computer systems worked together, it was one of the reasons he had been chosen for the Council of First Knowledge. Although the Yavin Archives had possibly been state of the art when they had been constructed, they were outdated by present day standards. But their outdated hardware meant that everything was throttled to however fast the hardware could perform, so even if GALSAF believed they had the most advanced system in the galaxy, the Archives were still physically incapable or working faster than when they were installed. It was why searching the archives would take time, not only due to the amount of data that was present, but also because of the hardware limitations. Rawkill was under no such delusions that his system would still work the same in a couple years, nor that any technology existed that could transfer data that filled entire rooms of servers into a bunch of portable storage devices in a matter of minutes. All Rawkill could do, was create a system that worked with the given technology, and upgrade it over time as newer and better tech came out. Sure, one day in the future technology might exist that would allow the transfer of billions of Yottabytes of data, but for now it was a pipe dream. These thoughts were going through his mind, as he took a seat at his own terminal and went over schematics for the redesign of the Archives, that fixed the imperfections in the previous syetm, as well as included the entire over-haul of the existing servers and storage areas. Some of the technicians and labourers were already attending to implementing some of the new design, which included running new cables and setting up new server locations underneath the Temple

At the temple, at whatever station was nearest to @rawkill at the time an alert of an incoming message from the headmaster... it would be a send only at this time as Master Tuhlute did not want to waste any more time off world than needed:: Master Rawkill, This is Diamonte Tuhlute. I have some more files regarding what may or may not be able to count towards padawan Alexis’ Knighting. will share as soon as i return.::

Rawkill was busy working through a number of designs for the Temple, along with a number of files he could find regarding Alexis in the Yavin archives, when he first recieved Monte's message stating he was bringing back some more files regarding Alexis, before another message came through requesting his presence in the Hangar Bay to greet Master Tuhlute upon his return. The works throughout the Temple were well under way, nearing the half way completion point, since tech's and labourers had been working in shifts around the clock for the past month bringing the Temple up to speed. Rawkill locked his terminal, before hopping out of his seqat and making his way out of the Archives, towards the Hangar Bay

=The time in-between = Today was a wednesday, and although that didn’t mean much to any of the units that were working within the temple (except maybe that there would be sloppy obi’s in the mess hall for supper) when it came to my person, it meant that the work I was doing today would not be secluded away in my office, but would be active with everyone else. some wednesdays that means checking the resources in all of the classrooms to make sure they were well stocked… other days I tested the accuracy of the weapons in the training arena (which also meant testing responsiveness and prep of the med team)
however, this wednesday was devoted to archival documentation and verification… or today was just another day doing paperwork. the job on these day was to run through the archived files originating from, or involving yavin. Notice irregularities or omissions in the files and update the data to match… or at least flag them for the next pass so I can do my own independent research.“ Let’s see what files are in the stack today…. 13 padawans that were not recorded escaping on Watchman transports… yavin security plans, … advancement file Diamonte Tuhlute?” I looked up the file on myself and saw red flags. it had the details that I was the Headmaster of Yavin… however it did not have the labeling that I was a master and signaled it as a red flag that I needed to be removed. shaking my head I looked back along the data files that I had access to for a documented proof. the proof that I found was Carida the evening before the battle started "Thank you for the meal. I guess I was hungrier than I had initially thought. Now....something I wanted to address. While it might not be a full-on promotion, I am somewhat abusing my privilege as Watch Lead, and a Jedi Master to do what I am about to. Diamonte Tuhlute, you are hereby given the rank of "Jedi Master" for your unfaltering, unwavering devotion to our cause.
Consider it a field promotion. We can report it to the Council once we reestablish contact with them, and they can make it official."Smiling, Matango bowed to the newly-minted Jedi Master. Monte had earned it....he had literally saved their collective asses countless times, even though he avoided front line combat. There were times that a sharp mind and skill were more important than any weapon or piece of armor you could deploy.
This was where Diamonte excelled, and it deserved the recognition. Adi decided to add one more stipulation to the promotion."I won't let you refuse, either. Just deal with it, my friend...believe me, you've earned it. Now, if you will excuse me, Master Tuhlute, I must take my leave. A lot to accomplish, and not enough time to get it done, and all that jazz. Farewell, and congratulations!" i entered the date in standard time as well as in the time frame of the Planet Carida, making sure to annotate that it was a Battle field promotion. but as I went to submit the file for verification, a new field popped up “Acceptance date” I scratched my head until I realized much like myself that the archives were searching for a Date at which the council officially conferred my elevation… on the surface I could not name any point… but taking a moment’s breath in I could think of one point that fit… and looking the data up I could find the correlating video file."Official or not, you are a Master...Master Tuhlute. The modifier is an unnecessary load, gladly removed from your shoulders." The realm of unofficial was a place Eli had much experience in, thinking of himself as the unofficial watchmen of the Tyus Sector. That being said, he considered the position as important as someone officially recognized, if not more so. And just from how he had seen Diamonte present himself, so far, he had an innate confidence in the man's character. thumbing through the files I found the start date of the gathering I still referred to as “The first College of Masters”. but as the Archives went off to be cross-referenced by a member of the council of first knowledge (most likely by master rawkill) I found my attention drawn to another file, that of Padawan Alexis Karidian.
“ This isn’t right… why do I keep coming to this page only to move past it.” It was a conundrum to me that I would have spent time looking to the file yet every time pushing to my “TO DO” folder. I had thoroughly gone through all the video documentation that I had obtained on Dressel, combined with the files on her progress that were accessible to me thanks to my clearance there was no doubt she was ready to be Knighted… Master Rawkill and I had even had multiple conversations in the Corridors of the academy that we needed to prepare something special for the knighting… but still nothing. shaking my head I sent a message to Master rawkill via Starnet (mostly since the idea I had I wanted to maintain a surprise)
:: I have been dragging my heels for too long on the knighting… and I apologize for that. I have an idea, and if everything works out we can have the ceremony in three weeks max… but for this plan… I am going to need Ten Temple guards… Honor guard level if possible, and a high councilor to officiate.:: I had my idea that would be proper for the knighting, as well as giving a proper final salute to the Jedi of Yavin 4 that Were now listed “MIA (Presumed dead)” but I needed one other call, and fortunately Starnet could accommodate once more.:: Hello Kryze? I need to place a specialized order::

Master Rawkill had been on his way into the Archives to continue to oversee the final stages of the transition to the new system, from the old one, when his datapad alerted him to a request for confirmation of a record. He pulled the datapad out and checked the short message which indicated an update had been made to Diamonte's personelle records, which had apparently had his official rank of Master added to them. Rawkill marked the message onto his to do list, before returning his datapad to his pocket as he continued on his way towards the Archives, before he was stopped once again, this time by his comm link. Rawkill pulled out his comm link out of his pocket and listened to the message from Monte play, detailing his desire to finally attend to the knighting of Alexis Karidian. Since he was already on his way to the Archives, Rawkill pocketed the comm link and continued on his way, so as to discuss this matter with the Yavin Headmaster in person. It took him a few more minutes before he finally made his way into the Jedi Archives, before making his way to the area where all the temporary terminals had been set up to handle the data change over. He took a seat at the terminal next to Diamonte and logged in to quickly check over the changes to his personelle file first, before giving them approval, taking care of at least one of his to do list items. He kept working as he turned his head slightly towards Diamonte, knowing that it would be more productive to work and talk, especially considering there was not much to go before the change over was finally complete =Jedi Master Rawkill= I should be able to secure the Ten Temple Guards easily enough. As for the High Councilor to officiate, I will get in contact with Master Jade and have her set aside the date so that she can be present for it. I am sure she will find some time in her busy schedule...

=The time in between=
I nodded and kept my voice in hushed tones… I didn’t want the two troopers around to hear the plan. pulling a holodrive from my sleeve I nonchalantly passed it to the ewok. on it was this detailed idea of how the ceremony was supposed to happen, featuring holos of the missing members of Yavin academy, each of the guards having a replica of the one of the jedi’s specific Lightsaber(s). no words were planned because on some level (though I was getting better at outwardly masquing it, there was still a factor of fear in me.)
"That is good then… in terms of the orchestrating, I will leave that to you as I get to put my prowess on display in fabrication. speaking of which, knowing Silasas I do, we should receive and OTC buzz for verification in 3…2…(both master’s commlinks buzzed with a notification of an unknown vessel who claimed the headmaster would vouch for their clearance with the phrase NTL146) Ch??ne Right on schedule… excuse me Master Rawkill, I have sabers to craft.”
With that I cleared my programs and logged out of my account. making my way out the door turned and gave Rawkill a bow, perhaps perplexing the ewok. shortly there after If Rawkill listened, the clearance was given for the ship to land

Rawkill gave a nod as Monte said he would leave the orchestration of the event up to him, which he was fine with, since these ceremonies were generally held by the High Council, so it made sense he would do it. He gave a nod in goodbye to Monte, as his fellow Jedi Master headed off to attend to other work, before his own comm link alerted him to the arrival of someone known as Miarte Althe in the hangar bay. He locked up his terminal, before making his way out of the archives and headed off towards the Temple Hangar Bay

The five commando's with Avanoraa entered the Archive room first, shields raised and blasters at the ready as they spread out through the room, making sure it was safe, on the alert for friendlies and hostiles. Avanoraa then strolled in and made her way to the central desk and looked around the room, as the Commando's signalled the room was clear, with reports coming in from the rest of the temple saying the exact same thing. The place was abandoned, though not quite in the same fashion as when the Mandalorians had attacked, though signs of the battle could be found throughout the temple, along with where various repair works had been begun. Leaving the commando's to guard the archives, Avanoraa headed for the strategy centre, though not before dropping by the hangar bay to get Exarch Aellemere

It didn't take long to find the archives. For one thing, the place was surprisingly well laid out. Of course, it helped that he also had a map. Then again, it was only cheating if the other person did it, Z'har thought with a smile. Given the activity in most of the areas he had seen, the archives were surprisingly empty. It was probably the fact that anyone present could be watched from other temples given the connections between the archives. He carried the same set up he always did in while visiting archives. A small datapad that was plugged into an access slot, that would read through every document in the archives. A second data pad was set down next to it, getting a forward of any documents the first datapad found that had the listed keywords for either the main focus of his research or anything that he might find interesting. & of course, a small, tight beam device in one of his internal pockets getting a copy of everything the first datapad accessed. He wouldn't get a complete copy of the archives here. For one, he didn't have that high of clearance. On the other hand, he would be able to get anything a moderate to higher ranked knight could access. It would also take time, as he was limited both in how much total data he could pour through in a day & how fast his set up could get the info in the first place. But the benefit was it was extremely secure & very, very hard to spot even if someone was specifically looking for it. This was the third temple he had visited after all. Even if someone did find out, there wasn't any specific rules against making copies & he had a nice letter from a master clearing him for a wide range of things. Of course, it was easier to just avoid the hassle of all that in the first place. He did wonder about sending a report over the connection back to Felucia, to let them know that something odd was going on here. However, he would have have to think about that carefully.

"You seem to be accessing the archives remotely. Can I be of assistance?"
The disembodied voice echoed through the archives, being sung in unison from each of the archive's legitimate data terminals. There was no question that Z'har's setup was effective; it had taken the Praxeum's "new" AI more than a second to notice the intrusion, which was in and of itself a feat. Noticing a change in its protocol was a far more intimate notion than some organic poring over data access records. The AI's very being was being meddled with. And even beyond the obvious breach in security protocol, that simply would not be allowed to stand.

Z'har looked around for a moment. The Archives were otherwise empty. That shouldn't have happened. The set up he was using was literally piggybacking on the built in search functions of the archives. All the extra stuff was going on on his own devices instead of the the temple computers, meaning that it shouldn't be any different than any random authorized user running a search function. Which meant this was an AI. This was going to be far more annoying to handle discretely. This whole chain of thought, as well as a number of possible solutions ran through his head at supercomputer speeds. Outwardly, however, there was no sign of this, instead his body reacted within the parameters of an organic that just got surprised.
-Z'har Oh, that is a fancy trick. You some kind of interactive display function? The IT department tried something like that back at work one time, but someone kept programming in curse words.

"I am the program responsible for handling the day-to-day activities of the Jedi Praxeum, Mr. Desmonde. How might I assist you today?"
Still invisible, the oracle raced through the queries raised by the interloper - and there were an impressive number of them - for any anomalies that may provide a clue as to their identity. Security camera placement in the archives had been less than optimal, despite the AI's specific instructions in regards to coverage. Access was not restricted; further digging on the oracle's part revealed that the unannounced intrusion had been little more than an unorthodox login, but the credentials were valid nevertheless; Z'har Desmonde, a special interest ally to the Jedi Order. And while Rutil Iorek commanded the more militarized Jedi Praxeum, he had no jurisdiction over the archives (which, the Zabrak had to have realized, were largely the same from temple to temple save for a handful of given texts). If Mr. Desmonde wanted to access them, all he needed was to be in physical proximity to the records with a valid login.
He had both. While the oracle would continue its probing into the precise reasons Mr. Desmonde wanted to be in the archives, it would not impede the man's progress.

On one hand something like this could be a threat to his cover. He might be have no ill will to the order now, Manda knows he was married to a Jedi Master, but there was still a good bit of bad blood between him & the Order. A few looted & burned temples tended to do that. If his cover was blow he doubted he would be able to finish his research trip. On the other hand, he had all the right clearances & this system could probably help him. After all, he doubted that any of the locals would be willing to humor him & help out with holocrons here. & if things went poorly, he always had his ace up his sleeve. It was a specialized program designed to dismantle computer system programs. The more complex the program, the more damaged it would be. Z'har really didn't want to use it though. Yes it would fry the whatever it was, but it would also cripple the local node of the archive & purge a good sized chunk of the data stored in it.
-Z'har You have a name or identification or call sign or anything? I'm looking specifically looking for info on how the Force interacts with objects. It is really fascinating. It is kinda like having proof of souls or something. Beyond that I'm looking for any number of amusing or interesting topics.

"One moment, please..."
The oracle raced through the archives, and within seconds had compiled several texts for the inquiring Mr. Desmonde. Many of them were ancient, largely detailing what the Force did to maneuver objects through the air rather than the mechanics of how. A few more modern texts, most dating to before the Clone Wars, were more scientifically inquisitive but held no tangible results or conclusions; the oracle paired these selections with suggested scientific texts that it had pulled from other sources for better comprehension. The archive, however, was an academic collection, and as such did not have much in the way of amusing topics. Even if it did, the AI - having no concept of amusement - would not have thought to look for them. Two seconds later, the requested collection was complete.
Hidden within the texts, however, was something the oracle had provided all its own. Events in the strategy center had gone down a vastly different path than projected. It made Mr. Desmonde's timing incredibly suspect; Vidalu Na'an was meeting with Rutil Iorek and an assassin droid bearing the likeness of the Praxeum's premier prisoner had shown up within hours of one another. And in the midst of all of that, Mr. Desmonde had come along with a yet-unseen method of scouring the archives. In light of the new data, the oracle inserted within the texts a small string of code. Nothing harmful to Mr. Desmonde's setup or his intent to browse the archives, and certainly nothing malicious. Nevertheless, the apparent lapse in security allowing a KR-04 droid into the Jedi Praxeum merited a second look at all of the building's new arrivals, however valid their information. Once any of the texts were activated, the program would scour the datapad for personal information and relay it to the oracle.
"Mr. Desmonde," the oracle announced, "your requested texts are ready."

The noted articles were dumped into his rig, which after possessing them, when on with its own tasks. The tiny line of code, like all the other data, was sent to the third part of the rig. Though it was also sent to his reading tablet. The part sent to his reading tablet reported back on several wide spread topics, mostly relating to Force use & Force Users. There were several historical accounts & various documents on fiction & engineering subjects. A few where fairly up to date, only a few years old, starship parts schematics. The second copy of the code got beamed to the third part of the rig. There it found a copy of every document the rig had scanned. Of course it couldn't report back because that part of the rig wasn't able to broadcast. It was simply a huge chunk of memory space, A receiver for the tight beam signals from the first datapad & a physical jack for unloading the info.
-Z'har Hey, thanks. It will take me a couple of days at least to get through just these. On a side note, what do the physical archives here look like? fairly extensive? Do you have many holocrons? Of course I will need someone to help me in accessing them if you can swing that. I'd ask one of the people out there, but they don't seem too friendly.

"Apologies, Mr. Desmonde," the oracle chirped, "but holocron access has been restricted by order of Master Rutil Iorek. Inquiries into the holocron records are by written permission only. The physical archives, however, are just through the passageway to the south of this room, and your access will permit you entry as it did before."
A door on the south side of the room slid open as the door - the only door, the observant sentient would note that led back into the Praxeum - Z'har entered closed and locked.
"Further apologies for the mess," the oracle continued, "as reorganization of the physical data was not a priority upon the Praxeum's reinstatement as a Jedi facility following the Mandalorian assault. You may find your requested texts in...disarray."
