*The Bucket O' Rust had sat in the dock for weeks. Something about a quarantine before they could even think about disembarking. CorSec had kept them buttoned up with narry a how do you do. Until today.*
::We need to inspect the ship.:: *The voice was gruff and to the point. Maeve hit the comm before Reed could saunter over and give the officer a piece of his mind.*
"Lowering the hatch as soon as you confirm you've got that niffty little pinger off my haul." *Maeve let an edge come into her voice as they had basically strapped a bomb to her baby. The Bucket O' Rust was by no means pretty, but it was hers and anyone willing to damage it could kriff off.
Droma sat by the hatch ready to lower the manual release. The automatic valve had malfunctioned some time ago. After sitting in dock for two weeks, it was unlikely their cargo would be worth anything to make the necessary repairs. Beside him stood a tall blue-skinned alien with gold and purple eyes. He smiled at Droma noticing that the Ryn had become quite tense.
There was a knock on the outer haul and a green light showed above their heads. Together the two men wrenched the hatch open. And two CorSec Officers jumped out of the way as the Bucket opened to the fresh Corellian Air.
Droma wrinkled his nose slightly and lashed his tail against the deck in agitation.* "Something's not right out there. Smells like the city is a dumpster fire. You might want to make it over to the academy while you have the change, Lance."
*The two CorSec officers shouldered past Droma and Lance as they made their way into the confines of the Bucket. One man sneered at Droma, the other looked around in thinly veiled disgust. Maeve and Reed descended from the cockpit.
While still bright-eyed, Maeve was beginning to show the edges of middle age, somewhat rounder than she used to be and a few more wrinkles where typical good humor had left it's mark along with the occasional line of worry, regret, and sorrow. Now she held a scowl similar to Reed's. His face had not changed with the time however. He still looked as fresh as a daisy despite having a good twenty years on her. Epicanthix and their perfect genes.*
"Did you chuckle heads have a reason for buttoning up the ship for three weeks?" *Reed's chocolate eyes flamed a bit as he growled at the officers.
One officer lowered his hand to the butt of his blaster while the other turned his head lazily toward Reed.* "Your registration is expired, we're going to need to impound this... ship."
*Maeve raised an eyebrow. Reed rounded on the officers.* "Is this a joke?"

Operation Little Crown, Kyr'bes'ika in Mando'a, was an ambitious plan headed by Clan Intelligence to strike at the Coalition in conjunction with the military Operation Roundhammer. Far smaller in scope, but just as ambitious in scale and degree of difficulty, intelligence had their own plans for the Corellian System. The Action-VI freighter Corell Eclipse, the insertion platform for the Mando strike team of eight, headed in towards Coronet City. One of the Corellians, Lok Gejjen was a local by birth, and registered as the ship's Captain, though the Bothan was in command of the team overall. With databanks thoroughly scrubbed and reprogrammed with a suitable backstory of a semi successful trading ship plying the Outer Rim, Eclipse was well concealed among the everyday traffic coming in and out of Corellia. With a basic clearance to a commerical port, they were in like Flynn. Landing was difficult due to the traffic lanes, but the freighter eased into its slot and came down on the designated pad without giving the pilot too much difficulty, or at least more than she could handle. Once down, the teams set about securing the freighter, selling the cargo, and hiring some local muscle. While the Corellians handled the cargo, the Bothan headed out to a local cantina accompanied by two of the Mistryl to see about the hiring of local scum and villainy.
Jaing Nail'ya was a born criminal, having traded his life for service to Clan Australis for an indeterminate amount of time. He had risen to command of the criminal scum that made up the surprisingly effective Night Lords death commandos. The talents that had served him well in the criminal world, and in the scummy machinations within the rather unique Night Lords hierarchy allowed him to easily make deals and talk beings into doing what he wished. He instinctively knew what would persuade a being, be it credits, fear, or other interests, and it made him dangerous
The local cantina he selected wasn't upmarket, nor was it particularly busy, the sort of place low-rent scum preferred.. He drew notice immediately entering with not one but two beautiful females accompanying him, and went with one to a booth, while the other got drinks for the trio. Water for the girls, expensive whiskey for Nail'ya. Now, he would sit and wait to see what opportunities presented themselves, and if none did, he would create them based on the available assets and resources, his snivelling and crafty Bothan mind already making plans within plans, going through potential avenues to gain the information his team needed to succeed in their plan. His job was to find the location of the City's shield generators. Then his strike team could try to destroy them with the mines they'd smuggled in.Mike Frantz

Dar had been tracking the Warbirds for six months, staying undercover as a run of the mill coynite mercenary, and had spent hours in every spacer and merc dive in Coronet. So far he had turned up nothing of use or value, and was beginning to think he would need to switch tacks yet again. Investigations such as these were not his forte. He looked up from the ale he was nursing as two attractive humanoid females entered the room, alongside a Bothan. Reaching out with the force very gently, he tried to get a sense of the newcomers. There seemed to be more to the women then they seemed, their movements and energy those of cats ready to pounce at a moment, but expert in keeping themselves hidden from the g'dans beforehand.
Interesting.

The Galaar descended from orbit, heading toward a landing pad on the edge of Coronet City that Luscious had told A'den to land at. It was close enough to the city to be convenient, but in an area that was also good to limit prying eyes. A'den suspected that Luscious may or may not be above board. That was his business though. A'den was only to get him here.

Luscious left the ship headed to whatever business he had here. A'den looked out the ramp out in Coronet City. It was certainly a big city.

Xeonon sat in the cafeteria of the Museum of Space Flight, one of the few sights for the tourists on the planet. It had taken him a several weeks to travel from Coruscant to the planet. While he could have take a more direct route to the planet and saved himself a lot of weeks of travel the Corellians had an undeniable hatred of Imperials. After leaving the planet he had removed his Imperial Knight armour, and donned a false personality travelling to the planet through half a dozen different space ports getting himself lost in the system before landing on the planet three days ago.
As he sat in the museum eating an over priced bantha burger he looked at the other patrons. Paranoid that the planetary security knew he had been on the planet Xeonon had spent the past few days pretending to be nothing more than a tourist. There had been no proof that anyone had been tailing him, but it was better to be safe than sorry. It would really complicate things for his mission and the Empire if he were to end up in a Corellian prison. Ideally he would have spent a few more days shaking any tail he may have, but time was an issue. Finishing his burger the Imperial Knight stood up from his seat and throwing out the garbage he took one last tour of the museum looking at some of the ships from the early days of the Republic. before leaving the building.

The Beskar Bes'uliik hung high in the air over Coronet City, it's distinctive sail barge like shape drawing the attention of passer-by's both in the air and on the ground. Small transport airspeeders moved between the floating restaurant and various pickup points across the city, bringing guests up to experience the wonder that was within. Buf was busy working the kitchen, cooking at several stations that guests could see through a massive viewing window. Handpicked Chef's meanwhile worked the wider Kitchen area under the watchful gaze of their head Chef. Each had been trained and overseen by Buf, their own origins coming from food trucks similar to The Skid Lid Sizzler that Buf had gotten his own start in.
But where most restaurants had a more upscale and formal setting, The Beskar Bes'uliik was much more homely and akin to an everyday eatery. Buf disdained the elitism that some of her colleagues took to as their brand grew. He intended to stay true to his roots, cooking good food for people to eat at affordable prices. This business model included deploying out Custom Cargo Skiff's bearing The Skid Lid Sizzler branding as little franchise spots across the local city, providing people a taste of what was available up on The Beskar Bes'uliik. Aboard the Restaurant itself, a number of performance grills and cooking stations were set up in one dining room, while the main Kitchen serviced the main dining room which had a more standard setup. This allowed a variety of guests and experiences to be offered and serviced simultaneously. This also allowed Buf to transition between the service styles to his own content

Diadem Square
Though her Padawan is as pronouncedly thin as all Ocsin are, her appetite is renowned by all at the academy, and so, after she contacts the pilot, her oldest and dearest friend whom she has known since they were both Jedi Initiates at the Corellian academy, that she has decided to try and convince to take them on their potentially perilous search for a particular islet in Corellia's north-western ocean, choosing one of the Skid Lid Sizzler custom cargo skiffs located throughout Coronet as their meeting point, Leontyne gives Susi a handful of credits before her Padawan even needs to ask for them.
As her Master sits on one of the benches in the scenic park the skiff is located in, Susi points to the item she wants and tells the chef, "Give me four. When the chef protests that two is enough, Susi smiles as she disagrees, No. Four. Two, two, four, frowning as the chef insists that two is enough, and sighing in resignation as she adds, And noodles."
As Susi joins her on the bench with a bowl and chopsticks, Leontyne smiles as she looks at the contents of the bowl and agrees with the Skid Lid Sizzler's chef, "Two is definitely enough," and then continues watching the pedestrian traffic approaching the park's entrance for the arrival of her old friend.
As she digs into her meal, which in her opinion is only a snack since she had to settle for the two rather than the four, Susi, since Leontyne has yet to explain who the pilot she has in mind was, asks, "How do you know this pilot, Master?"
"He's an old friend, Leontye replies, explaining, We were both taken on as Initiates at the academy around the same time, and have remained close ever since. With how often her duties as a Jedi Archaeologist find her traveling throughout the universe, Leontyne and her friend do not see one another as often as they would like, but have never found that to be an impediment to their friendship. Leontyne had been, at the time she and her friend first met when she was six years old and discovered to be Force Sensitive and brought to Corellia to begin her training as a Jedi Initiate, a moody and somewhat awkward child, prone to bouts of depression that she only understood the roots of later in her life. Her friend had broken through the walls Leontyne's struggles with dysthmia led her to put in place, being patient and understanding enough not to be discouraged by them, and was, as she came to understand the reason for her feelings and made the decision to transition, always supportive and encouraging. If their current undertaking proves to be as challenging and arduous as she anticipates it will prove to be, there is no one Leotyne would rather have at her side than her old friend. I think, Leontyne says before she has the chance to tell Susi more about her friend as she stands and shields her eyes from the sun with a hand to get a clearer look at the figure approaching the park's entrance, I see him now."

*Indeed she had seen him. Garret made his way into the park dressed more like your standard spacer than the Jedi Knight he technically was. Following behind him was an unusual droid, a modern R9 unit, painted all black flecked with white, as if to imitate a starscape. It was an unusual paint job and did turn a few eyes, but it made perfect sense when the droid spent some of his working hours in the droid socket of a StealthX. Being unable to look over the crowd due to his average height the man instead pauses for a moment, closing his eyes to reach out into the force. It takes a moment of time to reach out to that tenuous connection as if it is almost beyond his reach, but he is able to grasp hold of his own weak power long enough to locate the general direction of his friend. Opening his eyes he gestures to the R9 unit behind him and heads in that direction.
Observing what can only be his old friend's new apprentice scarf down what seems like a hutt's portion of food as if it were going to run away from her Garret can't help but laugh as he arrives at their bench* "Do apprentices all eat this much these days or did she just get off a fast celebrating some obscure ancient holiday?" *The pilot was of course referencing a time when they'd been younger where his friend had spent a whole day hopping on one leg to honor an ancient Corellian holiday who's records he may or may not have inserted into some of her research material as a prank. A broad smile crosses his face at the memory* "How's it going Dust? It's been too long"

"Far too long, Crash, Leontye tells Garret as she clasps his shoulder companionably, an amused smile accompanied by an arched eyebrow on her face as she recalls the creative additions to her research materials that her old friend references. Looking over her shoulder as Susi, looking forlorn as she uses her chopsticks to lift the last noodle from her bowl before slurping it down, Leontyne says, Believe it or not, that is, or rather was, only half of what she wanted to order."
Shrugging as she licks one chopstick and then the other, Susi smiles a bit bashfully as she defends her appetite, "I am a growing youngling, Master. Standing and offering Garret a bow, the raven haired Ocsin introduces herself, Padawan Nucio, at your service. . . Crash, was it? Looking over at Leontye with an expression equal parts puzzled and worried, she asks, You said your friend was a skilled pilot, Master, so am I safe in assuming that Crash is an ironic nickname rather than a reference to the most frequent ending of his journeys?"
"Well, Leontyne hedges as she winks at Garret, let us just say that Knight Hayes, she uses the title to make her Padawan aware that her friend is not only a pilot, has an unbroken record so far where walking away from his landings, crash or otherwise, is concerned, adding after a purposeful pause and with a reflective frown as though considering the fact there have undoubtedly been landings of any number of varieties her friend has made that she is not aware of, That I know of, of course."
Looking less than comforted, Susi asks, "Is that meant to be reassuring, Master?"
Patting Susi on the shoulder as though to suggest she not worry about the matter, Leontyne asks Garret, "Fancy a trip to a lovely little islet in the northwestern sea, Crash?"
Raising a hand as though asking permission to speak, Susi asks, "Um, Master, shouldn't you mention the storms and the . . ."
Lifting a finger, Leontyne purses her lips in a playful pout, "Shush now, we wouldn't want to spoil all of the surprises, would we?"

*Garret couldn't help but smile at his friend's teasing, recalling a few moments of mechanical experimentation that she'd been witness to that had resulted in a less than ideal landing.* "Yep, I've still got an unbroken record of walking away from my landings.... even if a few were a very slow walk." *He focuses back on the task at hand as he's asked about a trip and his old friend's apprentice drifts into the dangers of the proposition. He isn't particularly surprised by the turn of events, Dust wouldn't have sought him out for a simple ride to a nice pleasant resort location, besides she probably could have hired just about anyone for a job like that. His grin widens at the thought of a dangerous journey through treacherous skies. He'd spent most of his career as a jedi being looked down on for his lack of power and had never been able to resist a chance to prove his kill on a dangerous mission such as this, it's the same feeling that had driven him to volunteer to fly the Jedi strike force into orbit to attack the First Order Super Star Destroyer that had assaulted the planet while the Coalition had been collapsing.*
"I wouldn't worry, Padawan Nucio, I assure you that I'm more than happy to brave whatever dangers your master has decided to subject me to this time." *He turned away from the apprentice to give his friend a conspiratorial grin. This wasn't the first time she'd sought him out for aid on a particularly dangerous journey and he highly doubted it would be the last.* "As I am sure you suspected, I'm more than happy to help you out. I do still owe you one after all" *In all technicality Garret had stopped counting favors between him and his friend long ago, but it was a constant joke between the two that any time one of them needed something from the other the asked party would always somehow magically be on the owing side of such a favor*

Susi, her appetite apparently not yet fully sated by the Mandalorian cuisine, takes a food capsule from her utility belt and tosses it up and down in her palm as she asks Garrett in a mildly amused tone, "Are you familiar with the proverb about looking before leaping? If not, you may find it rather instructive to become familiar with it, especially before agreeing to any endeavor my Master invites you to accompany her on. She does have a tendency . . ."
Interrupting her Padawan and catching the food capsule on one of its upward flights, Leontyne tells her, "Knight Hayes and I have been on many an adventure together, my young Padawan, and have managed to survive them all . . ."
"So far," Susi adds, frowning as she holds her hand out for her food capsule.
Dropping the food capsule into her Padawan's palm, Leontyne tilts her head to the side at an inquisitive angle as she asks Garrett in a tone more playful than anything, "Do you owe me one, or do I owe you one? I thought after that business in the Rakata ruins on Nirauan . . . trailing off and holding a finger up, she says, Ah, I had almost forgotten about the time I had to come rescue you after you crashed and found yourself stranded in a desert on Rhommamool. That, she jokes with a wink, would make your assertion that you owe me correct, I believe."
Popping the food capsule into her mouth, Susi asks the Jedi Knights in a dry tone belied by the amused glint in her eye, "Do you two rehearse your act, or does it just come naturally?"
Leontyne chuckles as she asks Garrett, "Is your ship at the Spaceport or the Academy? We're ready to embark upon this great adventure when you are, Crash."
Susi arches an eyebrow as she asks, "We are? Don't we need . . ."
Leontyne pats her Padawan on the shoulder and asks, "What could you need when a Jedi always carries . . ."
Susi sighs and recalls the lesson her Master is referring to, "Everything they should need with them at all times, and trusts that the Force will lead them to where they can find what they don't have but will need. Patting the pouches on her utility belt and the silver lightsaber hilt on her hip, she says, I guess I am ready after all."

Jedi Knight Makya Mir, a male Kel Dor from Corellia's Jedi Academy that has worked with CorSec many times in the past, enters CorSec's headquarters to meet with the Major he will be working with after having been assigned the role of liason between the Jedi and CorSec. In his role as a Jedi Investigator, Makya has assisted CorSec in the investigations of many types of crimes and in the apprehension of many kinds of criminals, forming many lasting connections with several CorSec officers, computer experts, and members of the Tactical Response Team and Intelligence Service, making him an ideal candidate to fulfill the role of liason.
Arriving at the reception desk outside of the Major's office, Makya explains that he has an appointment and then waits to meet with the Major.

CorSec Major Rocco Cedrone, a broad shouldered native Corellian with short, dark hair and a magnificent mustache, smiles as he stands up from behind his desk and holds out his hand when Knight Mir enters his office, his cultivated low rumble of voice cheerful as he says, "Knight Mir. A pleasure to meet you at last. Heard only good things about you from my men and women that have worked with you in the past. Motioning for Mir to take a seat in one of the chairs in front of his desk after they shake, Rocco sits back down as he grins a lop-sided Corellian grin and says, Our Diktat can certainly crack, he mimes swinging a whip, the old whip when she gets an idea into head, can't she? Laughing at his own joke, he laces his hands behind his head and says, Still, she's done a bang up job getting things back into ship shape after the First Order's tantrum, so you won't hear me complaining if she's been making sure we're all working together to keep things safer for everyone."
Taking off his spectacles and rubbing his eyes, Rocco says, "If it's work you're looking for, I have a few ideas of where we could use a Jedi's hand. Will it be just you working alongside us, or will you be assigning tasks to other Jedi from the academy as well?"

Makya steeples his fingers together after taking a seat in front of Cedrone's desk, chuckling when the Major makes a joke about the Diktat's by now well documented work ethic extending to rousing others into action, "She can, yes, sharing in a mostly joking manner, She certainly has our academy bustling about to do her bidding, that is certain, admitting, Which I personally believe is a good thing given that we had perhaps become a bit too focused on teaching at the expense of doing."
Tapping the claw-tipped ends of his fingers together as he replies to Cedrone's question about how he will be aiding CorSec, Makya says, "I will continue working with CorSec personally, as well as delegating some tasks to other Jedi as the need arises, so that other Investigators or learners interested in the role can gain experience. Gesturing with a hand towards Cedrone, Makya asks, You mentioned you had some thoughts about how a Jedi could be of assistance? If you will share them with me, I will see that either another Investigator and learner lend a hand, or lend my own should that seem the wisest course."

Rocco pulls a few datacards out of a drawer in his desk when Makya explains he intends to work personally with CorSec as well as delegating some tasks to other Jedi. Sliding the datacards across his desk to the Kel Dor, Rocco explains, "Those are the files from two ongoing investigations that are wide-reaching or puzzling enough that we could use the Jedi's help with closing them."
Lacing his hands behind his head and leaning back in his chair, Rocco says, "The first investigation involves our Narcotics Divisions attempt to find out who is behind a recent uptic in spice and other illicit substance traffic in the Blue Sector. As you may be aware, after Gaultieri assumed her position and started making sure CorSec and the CDF were both adequately funded and manned, we saw drug traffic in Coronet drop to almost nothing at all, and it seems that someone decided containing traffic to the Blue Sector was a good way to profit from the fact we were so focused on the more reputable areas in the city that were most affected at the time. Whoever is behind it, and all indications are it is a single organization controlling the traffic, is highly organized and very careful. We've had no success so far in learning anything about who is in control, the few dealers we have managed to take into custody have all either refused to talk or simply weren't ever made aware of who was above them in the chain of command. Maybe, he waves a hand towards Makya, you or whoever you assign to help out will have better luck. The name of the Narcotics officer in charge of the task force assigned to the case is in there, and I'll make sure he knows to expect the Jedi to lend a hand."
Leaning forward to rest his elbows on his desk and rest his chin in his hands, Rocco goes on, "The second investigation is a multiple homicide in Tyrena that has us baffled. Has the look of a spree killing, but feels different in a way no one can put a finger on. No connections between the vics has been established yet, none of them were what we consider high profile either, but since there haven't been any subsequent killings the spree angle doesn't fit. The Detective in charge will be able to you or whoever you assign more."
Smiling, Rocco waves a hand towards Makya again as he says, "Those should keep you or whoever you decide to work with our people enough to chew on for now, but I will let you know if anything else comes up that we could use your help with. And, of course, it goes without saying that we appreciate your help."

Makya chuckles as he adjusts his breath mask so it sits more comfortably over his mouth and eyes as he says, "It does sound as though we'll be kept busy indeed," both cases likely to require investments of time and effort to resolve given CorSec has found them challenging enough to request his and the academy's assistance.
As the narcotics case sound as though it is the more complicated of the two, Makya tentatively decides he will assist CorSec with it while tasking the other to a Padawan interested in becoming a Jedi Investigator and their Master, and so asks Rocco, "The officer in charge of the task force assigned to the first case you mentioned, are they available now? I would like to get up to speed on the investigation's progress thusfar as soon as possible."

Rocco grins when Makya asks if the lead investigator in the narcotics case is available, lifting an index finger as he picks up a comlink and says, "I can do you one better than that," and then contacts Ennio Piras, the lead investigator on the case in question to let him know that Makya is at HQ and wants to meet with him to discuss how he can help with solving the perplexing case.
Setting the comlink back on the desk, Rocco says, "Lieutenant Piras is more than happy to meet with you, then asks with a grin, You remember where the narcotics division is, right?"
After the brief conversation with Major Cedrone has ended, Ennio starts gathering up his notes on the case to brief the Jedi Investigator who will be assisting him and his men with their investigation.

Coronet Spaceport, Commercial Passenger Shuttle Sector=Raja=As the 4000-series StarSpeeder Kor Vella descended through the clouds and approached one of Corellian Starlines’ landing pads near the main passenger terminal, the crowded car began to stir. Passengers around Raja awoke and began to gather their belongings, or whispered to each other as they pointed out the windows at various passing landmarks. Among it all, the Jedi Padawan remained calm and still, just enjoying the view of his homeworld once more. There was no reason to rush, no one was going anywhere until they were safely on the ground and the doors had opened. The Force has smiled upon him once more. Not only was he the only member of the Raganella family who was currently able to walk freely about the galaxy and return home to Corellia, but he had been spared any immediate loss of master, friends, or property in the recent invasion of the planet. Not everyone had been so fortunate. Moments later, with a hiss and then a whoosh, the doors of the shuttle opened, and the pilot droid signaled that it was safe to depart. Gathering his satchel, and adjusting his green Jedi cloak. Raja filed up the aisle and stepped down to the tarmac, with the assistance of a stair droid. It had gotten warm inside the StarSpeeder, and he yawned as he stepped out into the oil-scented air of the spaceport. Following his fellow passengers into the arrivals terminal, he scanned the crowded concourse for anyone in blue Jedi robes, hoping to spot Master Frantz.
