Jade arched an eyebrow. "Good guess, closer than most. Eighty-nine standard years." Noting the rapidity with which he'd just downed his third glass, she realized he seemed to be a bit uneasy? She'd switched back to Basic, figuring that it was better to avoid attracting the notice of others.
Jumping topics on a hunch, she added, "You should ask him about me sometime. The answer might surprise you." As Z'har had not openly displayed the matching rings he had had made for the two of them until some days ago in Mondder, she did not think Marsune would recognize the one she was wearing. She was enjoying the image of a deeply shocked gungan trying to act like nothing was at all out of the ordinary. He was doing a very good job of acting nonchalant though.
She gestured to a nearby arrangement of chairs as the band swung into one of the catchy cantina tunes one could hear in pretty much all the major planets. "Have a seat?"

"You should ask him about me sometime. The answer might surprise you." Ne'chaabar.I don't know if she'll understand that, but I can't bring myself to care, it's not really any of her business anyway, and that was a very long time ago... But the brandy erased the time, making it seem like only yesterday. Many scenes flooded his memory, most of them he thought had been forgotten after his ordeal with the Kirwall arena. Yet, there they were again, as fresh as they had been the day it had happened. He didn't hear Jade's offer of a seat, he was so lost in days bygone. Days he'd hoped to forget, and days that others hoped he'd forget. He was filled with a sense of aay'han, a melancholy remembrance of good days long past. And the world around him, the here and now, had fallen into the abyss. For all this, the only visible sign, was his distant gaze, and motionless posture.

Jade did not catch what Marsune said, but she could tell he was lost in reminiscences of the past. Sad ones at that. So, she did not break into his concentration, instead seating herself comfortably in a position that looked relaxed, but at the same time allowed her a wide angle view of the interior of this section of the Lastdark. She sipped her Corellian brandy slowing, savoring the taste and the atmosphere of Coronet's most exclusive nightclub. Eventually, the Gungan would probably realize she was still there.

Eventually is a long time to wait, at least it was for Jade, though she probably enjoyed the time to simply relax with out having to deal with an angry mando. Four hours later NCO's chronometer beeped once, he snapped back to the LastDark, his emotions being packed away once more for some other day, in few moments. Noticing the glass still in his hand had been filled yet again, NCO drained it and turned to leave. He noticed the Jetii was still there, and stopped. His stomach growled softly, and against his better judgment, he joined the jetti.
What does this place serve in the way of food?

"Anything you like, including a few of your own native dishes, I daresay. The Lastdark specializes in providing dishes of all different cultures and species." Jade replied as she registered that NC once again realized she was there. Interesting that he had been neglectful of his surroundings to that degree. Jade had been thinking on other matters herself, namely Terra's Trials at this point in time. She wished her padawan to do well, and she regretted the fact that Jedi politics had taken her away from the young woman's side as much as they had in the recent past. In future, she was simply going to take Terra with her when she was called away, if anything it would give her a more comprehensive up-close view of how the Jedi Order worked.
The diminutive Jedi Master wondered what NC was thinking, though she didn't ask. Their odd conversation had died a sudden death shortly after the mention of the Admiral. She took a sip of her drink as a gentle smile tugged at the corners of her lips.

He thought of nothing, apparently a singularly masculine accomplishment, he could not bring himself to deal with all the implications of the information he had learned this night. So he put it all in mental crate to deal with later, and thought of nothing, running completely on auto-pilot. He ordered a local favorite, as recommended by the waiter, and sat quietly staring at the center of the table, while he waited for the food to arrive. He didn't have to wait long, and he dug in, making very little noise as he ate, as if noise had suddenly become painful to him. He moved a little slower than he usually did, as though he were trying to be extra cautious, but he was merely functioning without thinking about it.

Jade scrutinized Non-Com openly from her seat, then decided to join him at the table he'd chosen. For now though, she'd ordered a simple salad with a local mix of greens as she did not want a full meal at the time. She had a lot to do once she got back to the academy.
"Are you alright?" she finally inquired, not that she actually cared, or not that she would admit to at all. Though, as he was evidently related to Z'har she wished to know anything that might potentially affect the Admiral whether directly or indirectly.

No, I am in fact far from alright.
Apparently auto-pilot doesn't care to do anything more than state the facts. That was dangerous, especially when speaking with a jetii. With an almost visible effort, NCO kicked his brain back into low gear. He focused on finishing his meal, and not making a further fool of himself. That was going to be difficult, and the consumed alcohol had nothing to do with it, in fact it was making things a little bit easier.

"Care to elaborate on that?" Jade inquired over the rim of her glass with a steeply arched eyebrow. Her face smoothed back into its normal placidity a half-second later. She had known that things were not alright. Gungans have never been the subtlest species in the galaxy; however, she had not expected this singularly tight-lipped specimen to openly state that such was the case.
She picked up a fork after setting down her glass and began to eat her salad.

No I do not.
NCO knew it was time to go, he'd learned more than he'd bargained for, though he'd been a fool to think his buir wouldn't enjoy the company of a woman. He couldn't say why, but had the distinct feeling that Jade was very much his buir's kind of woman. He smiled at that thought, and then hurried to finish the meal. When he finished, he paid his bill, and rose, bidding Jade a pleasant night, and left the way they'd come. He soon departed the planet, his ship having been serviced nearly an hour ago.

Jade finished her own meal in silence, settled her score, and walked over to the long row of windows from which one could see Coronet in all its glory. Minus of course the slums and undesirable portions of the city which were pleasantly distant and easy for forget about from up here. She enjoyed the lights of the city at night.
However, there were things to do. She wrapped her outer robe more tightly around herself and headed for the exit. She wished a good night to the staff in attendance and proceeded on her way back to the Academy.

*Sunset... an end to another day at work. Kherik stepped out of the back door of the garage and into the alley, stretching as he traipsed out into the main street. With his eyes fixed on the horizon, he took in a breath and smiled, closing his eyes and exhaling with relief. Another honest day's work done. Kherik always found tinkering with the swoops to be a relaxing way to spend the afternoon, and it was a favorite activity of his. In his time between the garage and school, he had learned a vast amount about the vehicles. Hell, even enough to get his own license and open his own business... but that seemed something of a tie; a commitment that he wasn't willing to make. In truth, Kherik aspired to see the Galaxy, to see beyond the sun he so lazily gazed at beyond the horizon. He was quite knowledgeable concerning various starships and piloting techniques, lacking only proper experience and, more importantly, a starship of his own.
Kherik sighed. "Maybe someday..." he thought to himself. For now, living was a challenge enough. Working to pay his own way, there was little else to go off of. Indeed, without some way to subsidize these goals, his aspirations of becoming more than just 'some guy' seemed far off. Nevertheless, Kherik was content in this day. Content in enjoying the simplicities of life... watching the sun melt into the horizon.
As the light faded, Kherik made his way to Theron's apartment. His best friend usually was out until later, so he'd have the place to himself. The young man opened the door and slid off his jacket, placing it on the arm of the couch. With a bound, he fell onto the couch and stretched out, pulling out his datapad and accessing his banking information. <1,500 credits> the ledger read... not too shabby. Perhaps later he'd head out for a drink at the cantina. For now, Kherik pulled up the HoloNet and listened haphazardly. On the datapad he checked messages... nothing new.
"Seems like there's nothing for me now..." he wondered. Kherik relaxed with nothing to do.*

*A few hours had passed. Kherik rose from the couch and decided to head to the cantina to enjoy a more social scene. Donning his jacket, he stepped out the apartment door and made his way towards the establishment.
The doors to the cantina slid open. It was a fairly busy night but there were still some vacant tables. Kherik made his way to the bar counter and ordered a Corellian Ale. Tab paid, he took a seat at a table and withdrew his datapad, perusing the contents as he bode his time enjoying his drink.*

Hours passed. The cantina's scene changed from one of bustle and life to vacancy. It was quiet, save for a few patrons dotting the room. With little flair, Kherik rose from his seat and stepped out the door. It wasn't two feet before an alert rang on his datapad. <1 New Message>.
"Wonder what this could be?" he mumbled. "Rik, hey, me and some guys are headed to the foundry if you wanna meet there." it read. The foundry... it was a place where a sect of fighters gathered to arrange underground matches. Kherik always loved a good scrap. "Omw" he replied.
"Finally, something to look forward to!"

Lastdark Club (evening before sunset) Jade and Z'har arrived at the Lastdark in good time as it was the place to be when the sun set in Coronet City. She felt a tingle of excitement ripple over her skin at the anticipation of sharing this with him, among other things. After passing through the security checkpoint and being ushered into the establishment proper, she laced her fingers through his with a whispered, "follow me," as she led him through the gathering crowd of patrons over to the giant windows that allowed one a bird's-eye view of Coronet. "What do you think?" she finally asked him as the two of them stood near a flowering tree beside the window. She smiled at their reflections in the glass before turning to look up at him. Green eyes were momentarily veiled as she blinked. Even after all this time, she still felt like other people didn't exist when she was with Z'har--they were so much background static, while he remained with her in almost painful clarity.

It was a little while yet before sunset, but the view was still rather impressive.
-Z'har A little more crowded than I am mostly used to. The view on the other hand is much more striking.
This last statement was made while facing toward his host, & away from the city below.

"You're not even looking," the shorter woman chided her companion gently. Her reproach was lessened in sincerity by the sparkling warmth of her eyes as she stepped closer to him and stretched up on her tiptoes, gently kissing his lips before stepping back.
"We can find a table if you are hungry," she offered.

-Z'har Not at the moment. Another benefit is that while I can, I don't need to eat as much.
Technically speaking, he didn't have to eat at all in this body. However he wasn't going to say that somewhere as public as this. Turning his view back to the city below, Z'har pulls Jade into an embrace. With both of them facing the massive window, the sun made its way closer to the horizon.

Jade didn't say anything, but she thought that cloned bodies required nutrient sustenance. However, clones were not her area of expertise, and on a remarkably quiet night out with Z'har she was content to relax in his embrace and watch the sun set over Coronet with a skillful cantina band playing in the background and the low buzz of conversation around the two of them.

Walking down the city streets towards the foundry, Kherik was suddenly met by two CorSec officers emerging from a nearby alleyway.
"Kherik Maar?" The taller one inquired. Kherik couldn't help but notice a gait that seemed to inhibit his walk.
"Can't say I've seen him. Sorry." He quickly replied, continuing on his way.
A gloved hand grasped his arm. "We'll need you to come with us." The shorter one ordered, stopping him before he could leave. The taller officer took hold of his other arm and began to escort the young man.
Kherik shook off the officers' grip. "Alright, I'll walk." With no idea what was happening, Kherik went off with the two CorSec officer's, marching towards the Capital Tower.
