Maroth entered the Archives with the sole purpose of finding all the information on Darth Revan's life. He sat down at the nearest free terminal and accessed the first entry he found regarding the ancient Force user.
How interesting. Revan went from a Jedi Master to a Sith Lord, back again, then seemingly rejected both teachings for his own.
Maroth spoke to no one in particular but his verbal musings were certainly loud and clear enough for Makia to understand what he had said. Maroth continued his research for some time until he came across something that caught his attention.
...There was once an ancient caste of Force users known as the Je'daii who lived on the planet Tython. The Je'daii practiced neither the Light side or the Dark side of the force but rather saw the Force as a whole. The planet and moons themselves were a representation of this view. One moon was known as Ashla and centering one's energy in the Light was easiest; the other moon was known as Bogan and centering one's energy in the Dark was easiest. The Je'daii's most fundamental teach was balance which became known as the Bendu. If one of the Je'daii became too attached to the Light, they were sent to Bogan and told to contemplate the Dark until the Bendu was once again achieved. Likewise those who became too attached to the Dark were sent to Ashla and told to contemplate the Light...
Maroth sat back in his chair and mused over what he had just read. If true this meant the Bendu was achievable and Balance was truly a side of the Force and could possibly be a means to healing the rift that was deeply seated in his psyche.

Makia followed Maroth and perched on the back of a long sofa peering at the larger man with studious green eyes...... ....for about a minute before nodding absent mindedly at all his useful insights about the force and history and balance and ....other things.
That's all very fascinating but, I'm board!
Slipping off the sofa, Makia slunk away without even saying buy, or where she was going, or anything else for that matter.

Dranosh finished his reading. With his various notes made and information copied from the books, he put it away in a bag. He then placed all the library materials back on their shelves, before heading back to the Archives exit. He paused briefly at the exit to collect his hammer, before continuing on his way out

*A man calmly makes his way to one of the rooms provided for meditation, his strides were relaxed as age has taught him nothing is worth rushing for anymore. His robes swayed softly, combing the floor behind him as his essence began to radiate in the familiar room. He had been gone for far too long which he agreed with to himself as he closed his vibrant green eyes and took in the memories with a faint grin on his face.
Most memories were pleasant. His thoughts fell strongly on his old apprentice, endless training but yet a fun side that his student commonly forced into each session. Being as close as they once were, he did adopt her after all, it was easy for her to get away with such things unless sincerity was called for. This also brought memories of his once wife, as beautiful a relationship as she was a woman. He smiled bigger at the memories all invading his mind at once, but suddenly he trembled and flinched at the next waves to scorch his mind.
Visions of the fierce battles he's fought just on this planet alone, the dark times he shared with others to proclaim what seemed to be small victories that just ended up prepping something far worse to head to their fates. The people he's held dieing in his arms, the faces he's watched fade from the edge of his swords haunts his dreams from time to time, which is why he had to leave so long ago to put himself back on the right path.
Tywalker shook his head gently and cleared it of all the darkness from years past with a soft, warm light of the Force that was his ally. He stood unwavering as he closed his eyes once more and meditated, contemplating his next moves like the who, what, where, why and how that would be his destiny until the Force calls him too to the inevitable void all must travel to in their lives. But he wasn't done yet, still full of life, energy, and more importantly the Force which seemed to gleam around him now as he centered with a warm wave of pulsing light.

Maroth sat at the terminal for what seemed an eternity researching the various aspects of the Bendu. But the more he read and discovered the more questions he had about the Bendu. With a sigh, he leaned back in the chair and stared at the ceiling in single-minded contemplation of who he had become as a result of his Dark Master's experiments.
Why are you being so thoughtful. Action is what we are best at, not meditation. Let's go to the training room and train on what we know we can do.
Who are you and what did you do with my angry self?
My anger is your anger. Your thoughts are my thoughts. We are the same just different facets of our original self. Separate we are powerful in the Force. Together we would be nigh unstoppable. The experiment that our Master thought failed will rise and destroy all of that he has built. And when we stand on the rubble of his pride, I will smile.
As his dark self monologued, Maroth's aura darkened. Those sensitive in the Force would feel as if they were being attacked by some monstrous entity of their worst nightmares. The very air around him began to warp and seethe as several of the couches, chairs, and terminals began to lift off the ground. His Force signature became oppressive in its weight which would cause someone weak in the Force to feel as if they had a massive load on their shoulders.
Our fangs must be sharpened. Let us become what the Dark will fear and could never understand. One who wields Balance.
The massive load of pressure vanished causing everything that had been held in the air to come crashing to the ground. Maroth stood to his full height noticing that Makia, his companion, had left. Briefly he wondered where she was before walking swiftly out of the Archives and headed towards the Training rooms.

In truth, Makia hadn't left the Archives. She was too busy rearranging the holochrons into a horrible order so that someone would have to fix them later.
They will know I was here now...
She mused to herself with a thin smile. ~You're pranks are getting less and less destructive ... It's boring~
Makia shrugged. She didn't care what Marki thought about her pranks. Honestly she didn't want to stray too far from her new companion because that would be rude-....but where was he?
She heard the crashing sound of stuff- the sudden feeling of delicious darkness then nothing at all, and the annoyed SHUSH of the Archivist. She peaked from behind the book shelf. She looked around the halls. She peered into the area where chairs and sofas had been toppled over somehow and still she couldn't find Maroth.
~He's the rude one now...~
I totally agree....
But who was she agreeing too out loud? no one would ever know- unless they asked of course. But she probably wouldn't answer them. Makia's easily distracted mind had settled on the familiar presence of someone she'd not seen in years- and for some odd reason she immediately felt safe...even on this force forsaken planet.
Slowly, Makia's green eyes flashed in the direction of one of the meditation rooms- and her feet followed.
I wonder if he'll remember me...
She mused to herself softly- almost hopeful. ~Oh kriff...not him again...~

*As Tywalker increasingly found peace of mind and his essence settled, the Force stirred in his heart. Someone approached but not a threat, no. An old friend not yet forgotten. He turned softly, head lowered and eyes closed as he searched his memory for a name. Confidently, his head rose and his piercing green gaze fell upon a woman walking towards him. His eyes met hers and a smile stretched fondly across his face as he pulled back his hood.
With a familiar softness but obviously aged deepness he spoke...
"Makia, my dear friend! It's been far too long; how have you been?"
*Tywalker opened embracing arms of kindred friendship in search of a warm embrace if permitted. Out of all he could have expected, he was truly pleased to have found her first. Part of him expected to be alone, but trust in the Force guided him true to a face he could never easily forget.

A smile fell across Makia's lips- a smile few had ever seen. It was a happy, content smile, not one of devious glee, or malevolence. The tension wound up constantly in her body loosened as she almost melted into the familiar, friendly embrace and closed her eyes.
~You do realize he's liable to stab you in the back right?~
No.. Makia muttered suddenly- before blinking opened her eyes and looking at Tywalker. Um- I mean, I've fine....
~No you haven't.~
Makia flinched slightly, fighting the urge to respond to her inner self and make herself look more crazy than she probably already did. With a sigh, she sat down across from the Jedi and realized just how aged he was beginning to look, while she, herself, hadn't aged a day- it appeared. Only the force could have brought her the good fortune of seeing a true friend again, and she wasn't about to let Marki ruin the moment for her.
I mean- I've been as good as could be expected, I guess. I'm probably not much better off than the last time you saw me...but you are. She said with a thin smile. What happened? I thought you were dead... Kriff- Everyone here thinks you're dead... Where have you been?

Tywalker felt a conflict within his old friend and frowned slightly as she was buried in his embrace. As she pulled to look at him, he wiped his face of any evidence and smiled warmly as their eyes met again. Though her question brought him pain and tension twitched in his muscles slightly as memories flooded his mind once again. Ty closed his eyes for a moment as he composed himself before opening them once again to meet his friend eagerly awaiting a response with that familiar curiosity that made him smirk admirably before answering with a fond tone with an expression of deep and utter failure that he battled with himself for many a moon and is yet to be conquered.
"Well, Makia...." He paused shortly, retaining his composure before continuing. "One of my apprentices is dead, and Anna's fate is unknown to me as is Ary's.... When my apprentice died, I couldn't face them because I wasn't ready to face myself. So I thought it best if I left, to find myself and the Force willing some peace and learn from my failure."
Tywalker stopped, choking on his words as his eyes glossed slightly from the pain that turned inside him. Upon wiping his face he returned to his story as the rest was easier to recall for him, and he spoke again with strong clarity.
" So I exiled myself to the depths of Felucia's dense forests and through the darkness I lived out my existence. It's really interesting where people can go and thrive to find themselves and receive a clearness that, oddly enough, was found within a pit of evil. I was tempted every day to leave my path, then a light speared through the forest roof I haven't seen or felt its warmth for some time. It was the Force, I have no doubt of that and its clear to me that it has guided me here for a reason to which I can only explain as my return." Cheerfully Ty smiled fondly once more at Makia. " And I'm glad my path has started with you, dear friend. And for someone that has their own darkness to fight, you look to be in very good shape. Other than this fortunate reunion, I'm still at a loss as to where my purpose lies however. Where has the years taken those whom matter most?"

Classic!
Makia exclaimed far too eagerly as a smile flashed to her face. The lone Jedi- feeling lost, hides himself away until the force comes tapping at his window.
She blinked a few times and looked away. Was she really that disconnected from everyone else's problems, so focused on her own self that she could no longer really connect with them? Was she really that selfish to look at the universe as some story she wasn't even a part of? She cleared her throat, giving her head a little shake and ignoring her second self's snickering in the back of her mind.
I mean- I'm glad you're back, that you found your path again. Not knowing what to do next means you're going the right direction I guess.
He was asking where the others had gone, and Makia had to pause for a moment to consider where everyone she knew had scattered themselves to.
Zendora is still here I think, Probably running security, board out of her mind without a war to get into. I remember hearing about her kid Paradigm playing mercenary somewhere out near Nar Shadda.
She considered Ary for a moment. Makia wasn't the best at keeping up with people but being immortal meant she had a lot of time for a lot of things. Ary never talks to me but I know she's probably on Naboo. I figured staying here held too many memories for her. And Anna...
She stopped speaking and broke eye contact. She knew where the Seer was- or rather, where her remains might still be. I- I'm not sure where Anna is.
She finally said, obviously untruthful. She hated the idea of shattering Tywalker's home he had found after so long in the Felucian forest. She didn't want to make him sad! it seemed that was all she did lately was make people feel worse than they already did, and she was tired of having that effect on others- especially her friends...what few she figured she had.

Tywalker's face gleamed with peace knowing old friends and allies were alive and well. However, his thoughts laid heavily on Anna. He adopted her, which mean she was his responsibility. He promised to take care of her and look out for her, and as of late he was doing a poor job of that. Failure of which tormented him for time to time whether someone spoke her name or not.
His eyes focused on Makia's for a moment and his mind honed with a precision only the Force could aid him in the discovery of her false claim towards Anna. He spoke with a determined tone that a love of a father could only hold.
" Please, Makia. If I have any purpose for the moment besides the will of the Force, is to find her. Whatever her fate might be, it will bring me peace and perhaps a means as to where I should go next and what I may do."
Tywalker's mind flickered with memories of the life with his family he once had. If he had that again, or at least closure, perhaps he could start to get to work on something. Perhaps back with the council or something else. His heart beat faster at the thought of such reunion before softly speaking once more.
" Home's come and go, but Naboo would be a good place to go because Ary means just as much to me. But if I go there knowing I could have found Anna and didn't, how could I face the one I called my love? We deserve answers. I need to find her, my friend."
He eagerly awaited her response, with care for the fondness he also shared for Makia. But if he was to make any progress to further his adventures in the universe once more, he needed stepping stones which were always appreciated. Tywalker grabbed Makia's hands warmly, and squeezed with a gentle kindness that one could find pleading for the mercy of knowledge that he sought. His form showed no weakness to others unworthy, but to Makia he would lay all his trust and faith in aid.

Kent follows Morgan into the Archives. She could feel the knowledge around her. Kent couldn't tell if it was the Force giving her the feeling or just her own awe. She looked around not knowing where to start. She wanted to read it all, and she wasn't intimidated the least by the magnitude. She felt in a word, home. This... This is amazing... I can feel something about this place. Who do I talk to to get access to what I can? She eagerly looks at the little girl she followed inside.

*Iella followed Morgan and Kent into the archives, smiling at Kent's reaction. There was certainly plenty here for the girl to sink her teeth into, and the girl didn't seem in the least bit overwhelmed by the amount of knowledge stored here.
She smiled.*"Let's get you an access card and you can use that to check out anything you want...er, within reason of course. Obviously some things here are going to be off limits to you."
*Getting Kent basic access to the archives was a rather simple matter and before long, Kent was issued a card.*
"Right, now that we've got that all settled, was there anything in particular you wanted to read about? I know you mentioned poetry or something out in the jungle, but what else did you want to read?"

*Morgan stayed with Iella and Kent long enough to ensure they secured proper access without a hitch. While Kent certainly seemed eager to tackle the written and visual knowledge within the shelves of the archives, Morgan... was not so keen. When it came to the history of Felucia, she was fully attentive, and sometimes there were intriguing tales from the past, but otherwise she had no interest in studying. Especially when her classes already placed that burden upon her...*
"I'm gonna go," *she announced, once everything was settled.* "It was nice meeting you, and I hope to see you again soon! But... I haven't really had a good meal today, and I should probably check in at home. Bye!" *She offered a wave before turning and departing the archives; well the statement about the meal was true...*

*Iella shrugged.*"In my experience, the Force usually isn't that specific when leading you. Instead, think about what you're most interested in reading about, then find it. As long as it's not restricted, it's yours to read."

Most interesting. That was a concept Kent really couldn't understand. It was all new information, so it was all equally interesting. Despite Iella's suggestion, Kent opens herself up to the Force. Like she did on the beach, but this time not focusing on anything in particular. The air filled with information. The power that was feeding the machines she felt, its amps and watts. The wood in the floor, she felt each grain and dip. The climate control in the big room revealing its speed and temperature. Slowly she felt pulled to a stack of data cards and a few real books. on the bottom, she found an old volume on the Saber Forms. It was so old it was actually a book. Handwritten in an old form of Basic. She could read it, but it would take work. She looked it over smiling I think I like this one.

*Iella nodded, figuring there wasn't any harm in letting Kent choose whatever she wanted to. Eventually, she did want to have Kent read some the 'required' reading for a Jedi apprentice, but that could wait for a little bit while Kent got acclimated.*"All right. If there's anything else you want, feel free to look around. Otherwise, there's plenty of places around the base to sit and read if you're ready to check out."

Kent thumbs through it, and considers the difficult language. 400 pages of dust fils the air. I can get the next one tomorrow.

*Iella nodded.*"Sounds like a plan. In that case, your assignment for the rest of the day is to read through as much of that book as you are possibly able."
