*Well, at least it didn't sound like Raine would have much trouble with the physical aspect of the training. But then Raine revealed that she couldn't read very well, and that made Michelle frown for a bit, at a loss for words temporarily. She had been so used to people knowing how to read that the concept of someone not being able to learn how was almost foreign to her. But latent education regarding such cases came back to her, and she managed to smile reassuringly...
... but not before once again being beaten to the punch by Shells, who had her head tilted and her brows furrowed.* You can't read?! How's that possible?! *Whereas someone might tell Shells to "stuff it," Michelle didn't hesitate to reach across, grab some food off her plate, and literally "stuff it" into her mouth, then gave a nervous grin to Raine.* Please ignore my equally uneducated friend here... *If looks could kill, the one Shells gave Michelle would have done so and left no remains. Michelle could sense the displeasure, but didn't spare her gaze and tried to continue to reassure Raine.* But you don't have to worry! We have people who can help you learn to read, and a lot of stuff doesn't need to be read anyway, so you'll do fine!

"I can read!" *She retreated some, almost embarrassed by her outburst.* "Just...not all as good as most people." *Raine was glad to hear that there were people who could help her with that.* "I never really had to do a lot of reading when I was living on the streets. Mostly I paid attention to different signs, or symbols left behind by street gangs marking their territory."

*Oh, good, she actually could read a little, just not a whole lot. Enough to read signs and street gang symbols, apparently. Michelle frowned; that sounded like very rough living conditions if her reading ability was limited to basic ability and she had apparently lived navigating gang turf. Michelle was going to not reply out of courtesy, but she knew Shells may not have the same courtesy, so she quickly gave her a look. Not one that was accusing, but more of a plea. Shells seemed to take the hint easy, so Michelle drew a smile back to her face and looked at Raine again.* Well, you'll be fine here. You'll learn everything you need to take care of yourself.

*Raine gave a nod. She couldn't help but feel a little more relieved that people were actually going to help her. For most of her life she had hidden her abilities, fearful for what they might do to others.* "So..how exactly do I go about finding someone here to train me?"

*Raine seemed to be moving on to the important questions, such as how she would find someone here to train her. Was she looking specifically for a one-on-one Master-Padawan relationship, or just training in general? The former Michelle couldn't really answer, though hopefully she could ease her mind if it was the latter's case.* Have you been signed up and everything yet? They should've had a Jedi evaluate you so they know what kind of classes and training you can get. If you're looking for a Master... well, I'm not sure how that works. My brother's been my "Master" since I could remember... I think a Master just has to pick you. I dunno. *Michelle shrugged, looking at her almost-empty plate and deciding to finish it off. This was where Shells chimed in again.* Yeah, my brother's my Master too! Though whenever I call him "Master" I think he knows I don't really mean it... I get on his nerves sometimes. *She said this with a hint of mischief, something which Michelle easily caught upon and couldn't suppress a smirk; she knew the sibling pair loved each other, but Shells often got in Bix's hair and it was clear that she exasperated him often. And Michelle as well, sometimes...*

*Raine shook her head.* "No, I haven't been signed up for anything. I only just got here. So I really haven't been able to." *She paused for a moment before speaking again.* "How exactly will they evaluate me?"

*Raine hadn't been signed up yet, but at the very least had been introduced to the Academy. That was a start, at least. Raine was asking about evaluation, and how that worked. Michelle supposed that "evaluation" might have sounded a little intimidating to a newcomer, especially since Raine didn't know how it worked, so Michelle smiled reassuringly as she explained.* It's nothing, really. Just a little test to see what you know, how well you can use the Force. It's easy! Er, it's not bad at all! *Michelle supposed "easy" wasn't exactly an accurate term, at least, not for everyone. But it certainly wasn't anything to worry about, since it was just a test to gauge one's abilities and know where to apply them and teach them. Once that happened, Raine would be fine.*

*Raine thought about it for a moment. How hard could it be, besides, if she failed then maybe they could help her in a different way. She looked at Michelle and gave a nod.* "Okay, lets do this. I'm willing to take this test."

*Michelle grinned at Raine's confidence and eagerness to take the test, but then looked around the cafeteria and frowned. No masters were even present. They would have to find one. The first choice for her, obviously, was her own brother, but last she checked he was tending to some sort of business. She shrugged.* We'll have to find a Master. I dunno where my brother is, though. What about you, Shells? *She turned to look at her friend, who shook her head.* Somewhere. Doing stuff. *Once upon a time, Shells and her brother were inseparable; it was rare to see them apart. Indeed, Michelle was once like that with her own brother, but now the two girls found themselves spending more time with each other than their siblings. They still saw them pretty often of course, considering they were family and also their masters, but it was an interesting reversal. Perhaps a sign of their growing older and more independent?
Michelle allowed herself a small, wistful smile at that thought before she stood out of her seat, Shells following her example.* Well if we can't find them, we can at least find another master. Let's go put our stuff away and go look for one! *They took their trays and utensils to the repository, then headed towards the exit of the dining area, waiting for Raine of course before they could go and seek out a master to help her.*

*Raine stood up and followed after the two. She was somewhat alright with the fact that a master wasn't present at the time. Searching for one gave her the chance to explore the temple some more.* So, both your brothers are Master then? What's that like?"

*Bix arrived at the dining area, leading Raimundo there from the hangar. Bix himself had eaten not too long ago, so he would pass on taking any food himself, instead gesturing toward the serving area with a hand and remaining by the door.* Help yourself, there's plenty of food from various cultures here, and chefs on standby if you're craving something more specific. I'll let you pick a table and join you there; not hungry myself. *He folded his arms and idly leaned against the edge of the door frame, allowing the Cerean to go about his food-gathering for the moment.*

The Jedi Knight followed Bix into the dining room and grabbed a plate revealing a meat and cheese sandwich, chips and a pear (after being invited to help himself of course). He then made his way to an empty table that sat against the wall, next to a window that allowed him to look out and enjoy the landscape of Felucia.*
*He waited until Bix took a seat before he spoke, "It's strange. I've been a part of the Order for nearly six years now, and I've only just come to Felucia. Been to Yavin, Corellia, Coruscant, but not here. I must say I'm a little excited."

*Bix watched quietly as the Cerean picked out a meal, then followed him when he headed for a table. He took a seat across from him, listening and tilting his head slightly at Knight Darkwater's words. Part of the order for only about six years and already a knight? Almost sounded a little familiar... Bix allowed an amused smile to briefly cross his expression before he simply nodded and looked out the window himself.* It's an interesting place. Quite... different. Beautiful, certainly, but also dangerous. "Looks can be deceiving," and all that. But also quite rich in the Force, like it has some sort of consciousness... *He nearly concluded that sentence with an "almost," but withheld it; Morgan swore by this planet being alive, called it her mother, indeed was still alive because of it. Her. To doubt that would be an insult to the girl, but he had not had enough experience yet with the planet to determine this for himself.*

In an innocent typo on the writer's fault, Rai had actually been in the Order for sixTEEN years. But ya... Cool. Anyways:*
*Rai swallowed a bite of his sandwich, his eyes resting on the man that sat across from him, taking in his words. It was true, what the man spoke. The Cerean could feel the planet through the Force and it was something he hadn't really felt on any other planet. During his studies as a padawan under Mike, Rai had absorbed all the knowledge he could of the known planets in their galaxy. Felucia had always interested him and he was finally here, drawn to it by the will of the Force.
"You can feel it," Rai smiled, "It's consciousness, I mean."
Raimundo took another bite of his sandwich as his eyes looked out the window, taking in the beauty of the scenery.

*This writer is understanding of the plight of the typo, and the corrected story also sounds familiar to Bix, but the one he originally thought was familiar was more a tongue-in-cheek comment at something the writer once did, also this entire line is pointless rambling.
Meanwhile in the dining area, Bix managed a small smile as he nodded to confirm he could feel the consciousness of the world... to an extent. Not nearly to the extent of... well, he hadn't quite intended to bring this topic up, especially since Knight Darkwater was a stranger, and also because he was hardly ever the one to talk about this topic, but he rested an arm on the table and shrugged his head to the side, sighing before beginning.* Not nearly as much as others. In particular one individual who'd managed to establish a connection to the planet's consciousness somehow, an apparently incredibly rare experience. As in, she may or may not be the only being ever documented with such a strong connection. It's quite amazing. *Well, he'd somehow managed to make that a lot more basic than he thought. The actual story behind it was far more complex, but he'd managed to sum up the basic point in a couple of sentences. "Well done," he thought to himself with a bit of an amused smirk. The full story would probably have just floored Knight Darkwater... if he even believed it.*

"Amazing indeed!" The Cerean exclaimed as he listened to the account of an individual's relationship and experience with the planet. It was something that Raimundo had never heard of before, but did not doubt in the slightest. The Force worked in many ways, and was everywhere, appearing in all sorts of shapes and sizes. It was quite possible it could manifest itself in the form of a planet.*
*The Jedi Knight finished his sandwich and grabbed the pear from his plate, letting its juicy flavor tease his tastebuds. "So tell me, Mr. Bix. How long has this academy been around? I'm sure it has a rich history."

*Bix nodded with a smile when Knight Darkwater agreed, admittedly pleased that the Cerean hadn't asked for more of that story. Perhaps Bix had been succinct enough in his explanation, and if so, well, he actually felt accomplished about that. It wasn't exactly a simple tale... or maybe it was? He supposed on the surface it was, but there were several other related details as well...
The conversation moved on, to the base's history and how long it had been around. A simpler and more objective topic, excellent.* From what I understand, a man named Belac originally established the Base here, though it's seen at least one reconstruction and several renovations over the years. Admittedly, neither I nor Master Calmcacil have lived here for very long, only a couple of years; previously we'd lived on Belkadan, with an Academy there, which was damaged after a Sith attack. We managed to wipe out our assailants, but the Academy wasn't really hospitable, so we made contact with Master Alora, who was a good friend of Aerandir's, and she agreed to let us transplant ourselves here.

Raimundo nodded his head, finishing his meal. Aerandir and Bix's reason for coming to to Felucia sounded a lot like his own. He had left Corellia for Yavin IV just in time to fend of an attack against the Vong. It had been a deadly, chaotic battle and the Jedi had emerged victorious, but only by a thread. It was then that the Cerean realized he was not meant to be a warrior. He instead devoted his time and training to perfecting Form Zero and becoming a Jedi Healer. He had travelled to Felucia to offer his assistance, having heard rumors that they were lacking in numbers.
"Well I suppose it would only be fair for me to tell you why I'm here," Rai chuckled, "A bird once told me your academy here was looking for Jedi Healers. I'm hoping I could offer your people my assistance."

*That was indeed true of Knight Darkwater, the purpose of his visit was pertinent information, but, seeing as it apparently had not been urgent news, Bix had not pressed for it. Said purpose was due to his offering his services at the base as a healer; apparently, he'd received this information from a third-party. Bix raised a single eyebrow, then he shrugged.* I'm sure if your skills are good, Aerandir would be more than welcome to have you. We've seen a very impressive healer or two, but admittedly the number is low at the moment. How skilled are you? *Obviously it was Aerandir would be doing the real screening, but Bix figured it would at least make for good conversation, at least until Aerandir was ready to meet with Knight Darkwater himself.*

"I'd like to say it's what I do best. It's what earned me my title as Knight back at the Cornelian academy, when I was the apprentice of Mike Frantz." A smile broke onto his face as he chuckled, "And Heaven knows I saved his life more than once.... His fondness of the drink gave him his fair amount of visits to the medical wing, amongst other things."
Although it was a joke, Rai realized it was possible that Bix did not know Mike... But oh well.
"I made my debut as a Jedi Healer during a heavy assault on Yavin IV by the Yuuzhan Vong. As far as I am aware, I was the only Jedi there with any serious training in the art of Healing, and thus the responsibility of all the wounded was on my hands, as well as a friend... or was he an enemy?"
Inferno: a clone who was a follower of the Darkside, gad threatened and nearly taken Mike's life in a previous mission to a planet Raimundo's writer couldn't remember. After rescuing him and Diamonte, Inferno had somehow followed them to Yavin IV. Then when the Vong attacked, Rai had given him the choice to help the Jedi, or be taken prisoner until the assault was over. Inferno agreed to help Raimundo take care of the wounded. That was the last the Cerean Knight had ever saw him... So to classify him as a friend or an enemy, Rai couldn't be sure, even though Inferno was a Sith.
