*Jake's agreement elicited an excited and joyful thanks, as well as a tight hug. Jake's eyes widened in surprise then he smiled and returned her hug. She then announced that she would "get right on it" and departed the gardens... ... but not before planting a kiss on his cheek. An act that made him squeak in surprise and turn a very bright red. A-a-a-a kiss! She'd kissed him!* Oh, er, heh heh, y-you're welcome, heh, g-good luck! *He giggled bashfully as she ran off to get started on her project. He hadn't expected that... but he didn't mind. The blush faded but he continued to sit there, grinning like a lovestruck idiot, until he suddenly realized how much of a goofball he probably looked like and blushed again. He gathered his things and also departed the gardens, still a little embarrassed but mostly pleased.*

The Gardens of the Jedi Base of Felucia. It was a place of great tranquility and uttermost peace, only rivaled by a handful of other destinations in the galaxy. A mixture of several forms of vegetation, this place served as a sanctum, where one might be able to discovered an eternal peace between themselves and the great nature of the Force. The day was waning now, as the warm orange-yellow glow of Felucia's sun, Felix, began to set at the edge of a distant horizon painting a vivid array of colors upon clouds that presently dotted the skyline.
This evening, three young Jedi in training, padawan initiates as one might call them, found themselves wandering the Gardens' grounds. Alec was a human boy from Naboo. His hair was blonde and his eyes a lighter shade of blue. Raz'jani was a Kushiban male of Kushibah with a fur coat of white and grey. Eyes of a piercing yellow. And finally, there was Kobi. A boy born on the core planet of Rendili, he hair dark brown, slightly wavy hair and bluish-green eyes. A green cloak tied in front at the level of the collar bone wrapped around his tan and brown Jedi tunic; the hood of the cloak pulled up and over his head. Clipped along his right hip, the hilt of a training saber hung from the soft leather belt that spanned his waist.
Kobi's right arm was extended, elbow slightly bent and his mind focused up the Raz'jani.
"You really think you can do this?" The question came from the eight year old, Alec, his voice full of both worry and excitement. His hand were clasped in front of him as he paced back and forth, wearing a small patch in the ground in the process.
"Yeah!" Kobi replied confidently. Whereas he knew he wasn't much of one for picking up on lightsaber combat techniques, using the Force was something that came all to natural to him. His focus narrowed once more, eying the white-gray fur ball at the edge of a cold blue pond.
Raz'jani stood stiff, nervous about what Kobi was about to attempt. It was true that Kobi was strong in the Force, but to date he'd never tried to lift anything through telekinesis larger that a small stone or maybe a small fruit or a vegetable. The nervousness kept him from speaking and now, even his eyes were closed shut.
"I dunno . . ." Alec's response was hesitant, but his body language carried a sense of hopefulness. "You never did anything this big."
"No trust me!" Kobi's voice carried a sense of cockiness about it, if not arrogance. An immense amount of pride in what he felt he was capable of doing. "I got this." He closed his eyes now, focusing intently on his task. He reached out with the Force as best he knew how and wrapped it around Raz'jani, then began to lift his arm.

The Gardens, still Faun's favorite place in the base. Apart from the balcony, that was. Actually... that was where she had just came from. She had taken to using the balcony as a starting point to get flying practice in, and often landed in the gardens. After discovering this, she had taken to flying around above the base quite often, which sometimes drew awed looks from other children who'd seen her. This had always made her grin, pleased that children were impressed by her instead of teasing her.
She'd never ventured outside the base's walls however, not wanting to risk anything going wrong and ending up crashing into the jungle somewhere; regardless of how close it was to the base, she wasn't entirely confident in her navigational skills on the ground and feared she might end up lost. Perhaps she'd catch a warm draft and soar high around the base's outer grounds, but would quickly dip back within the base's confines where it was safer.
As she glided above the gardens this time, she noticed three figures below, what she thought were two boys and a smaller, fuzzy thing. Kushiban perhaps? She tilted her wings, slowly circling above, observing them. One boy was pacing, and starting to leave an obvious trail in his wake. The other was staring at the Kushiban, focusing on it... But why?
Faun dipped low and glided down into the gardens a short distance away, trying her best not to be noticed as much as possible. She then tilted upwards, spreading her wings and catching air to slow her down as her feet connected with the ground and she came to a jogging stop. Folding her wings down as she gained her footing, she quietly approached the area she'd seen the boys and quietly peered out from behind a bush, watching them. She half wanted to show herself now and ask the boy to stop pacing, but first she wanted to make sure they weren't up to no good...

A slight breeze caused a ripple to appear in the pond by where the three young boys were, but also for some of the delicate aroma's of the place to feel the air even more heavily than had previously. Everything hushed and quieted for a moment, save the persistent footsteps of Alec as he continued to pace uncontrollably. Now, even, his hands were at his face where he began to bite at his fingernails. Nervous was understatement at this point for the boy who was overly wary by nature to begin with. "But, but, but . . ." He spoke frantically and whimper - like in overcome by he nervousness, and a fear he still had yet to master. "What if . . . "
Kobi's arm raised, his eyes still shut as he focused on his task as best as he could. His concentration was peak for a child of his age and his connection to the Force was stronger than the average youngling around his age. Time seemed to almost stop for him now, as the distractions of the real world faded. The frantic and worried words of his friend Alec faded to nothing more that a whisper and the fluttering or leaves and plants in the cool breeze ceased to exist. The trickling of water from the pond but routine tick of a metronome now. Higher and higher his arm raised. Inch by inch, slowly and methodically. Fluidly and steady. The Force was in his control as he reached out through it, becoming one with it to the best of his abilities.
Raz'jani's body and being were nudged gently as the world and ground beneath his feet seemed to retreat slowly downward. Soon enough, his ability to touch it even with his toes was taken from him as he was now his the control of Kobi. He couldn't believe it and a the mix of emotions that flood his conscience was indescribable. Excitement. Surprise. Nervousness. Worry. Happiness. Disbelief. It was all there and left him completely speechless.
Alec was in a similar state to the Kushiban now floating in the air, though dumbfounded could easily be thrown in or assumed as was evident by his dropped jaw and wise eyes. His movements has even ceased in his mesmerized state. He very nearly fainted.
Kobi's eyes opened slowly, first only with one eye, to peak and see if he actually had been able to do it, then quickly with the other to reveal the two blue-green orbs. He'd done it! However, before he could stop and start celebrating, he knew he'd have to put Raz'jani back down on the ground who was now hovering about 5 feet in the air. This . . . this was another feat all in itself.

The pacing boy seemed nervous, stammering about some "what if" that he never completed. But then silence, no one spoke after that as the boy with his hand outstretched continued to stand there, his eyes shut as though focusing. On what? He was about to use the Force, that was for sure—
Was the Kushiban lifting off the ground?! Faun's eyes went wide. The boy was doing this! But why?! That wasn't safe! She couldn't get a read on the Kushiban's emotional state or expression. ... were they picking on the little Kushiban! No way! Faun couldn't let that happen!
Her right arm and wing brushed against the bush she hid behind as she threw herself into the open, running up behind the Kushiban and wrapping her arms around him. "Let him go!" she demanded, her expression a mixture of indignance and horror over what she perceived as bullying. "I won't let you pick on him!"
She didn't attempt to pull him away, for fear of hurting him; he was being held onto by the boy with the Force, after all, and he'd have to let him go before she could move him away. That was why she had wrapped her arms around him; so that when he did let him go, he wouldn't just drop to the ground. And when he was safe on the ground, she was going to give the other boy, who appeared the oldest, a piece of her mind...

The snapping of a branch as something swooped pass it shattered the otherwise deadening silence and before Kobi could make right of the situation there was a young girl reaching upward and wrapping her arms around the Kushiban that was floating in the air. The girl's species, he couldn't quite figure out as it was completely alien to him. Aside from the wings, she looked human-like, but no human he'd ever known of had wings like this girl had. In fact, he wasn't aware of any intelligent species that had wings, much less something of a near-human make. He blinked rapidly, trying to make sense of what had just occurred all the while trying to continue and hold on to Raz'jani to keep him from falling uncontrollably to the ground.
Alec, again, maintained a dumbfounded expression. Where had this girl come from and why was she trying to hold Raz'jani? Was she lost or think that he was some kind of pet? Who knew; he was confused to put it mildly. Jaw dropped and eyes wide. Her right arm and wing brushed against the bush she hid behind as she threw herself into the open, running up behind the Kushiban and wrapping her arms around him. "Let him go!" she demanded, her expression a mixture of indignance and horror over what she perceived as bullying. "I won't let you pick on him!" Did she really think that they were picking on Raz'jani? Well, at least this had just been a misunderstanding as to what exactly was going on here. Truth to it all, it had been Kobi's idea the entire time, but Raz'jani had been there pushing him along the entire time. The only one of the three that was anywhere close to being against what they were doing was Alec and he didn't seem to be with them mentally at the moment and instead lost in a moment that had since past.
Kobi grinned before letting out a slight, boyish chuckle at the girl's accusation immediately followed by some kind of defense. He even let go of the Force allowing Raz'jani to fall into the cradled arms of the girl. "I'm sorry," Kobi managed to say through an outburst of excitement. "I wasn't picking on em'! Raz, here, is my buddy!"
Raz'jani struggled to free himself of the girl's embrace as Kobi spoke, defending himself.

Everyone present seemed stunned at Faun's sudden intrusion. Well, good! They should be, so they'd stop what they were doing! She felt the Force grip loosen on the Kushiban and she pulled him in defensively, scowling at the boy who had lifted him up. Wait, what was that laugh supposed to mean?! They were picking on him! That laugh meant it!
... except they weren't... Or so he said anyway. Maybe he was lying! But then again, the Kushiban—"Raz," apparently—was trying to squirm free of her grip. Were they really all just friends... ? Was this all just a misunderstanding... ? Suddenly blushing, she squatted down to let the Kushiban free, then stood up, hands folded behind her back.
"S-sorry," she stammered, "i-it just looked like you were picking on him..."

Kobi took a step back as he looked at the winged girl. His response had be rash and he'd gotten very defensive, but he'd never had any intention of hurting her feelings or embarrassing her. Now he felt bad and as though he had just been to her what she'd accused him of being to Raz'jani. That bad feeling had now turned to a terrible one made him feel sick to his stomach. "I'm sorry," he said pleadingly.
"You should come play with us! His expression took a complete turn now. Where he had once been upset with himself, now had turned to a playful and cheery one yet again. His hands had gone to his hips now as he struck a pose as though he were some kind of superhero; he did that a lot. "Ain't that right, boys?!
The other two simply nodded and awaited her response.

Suddenly the boy was apologizing to Faun, seeming a lot less confident ad even a little upset all the sudden. Faun looked surprised; what was he apologizing for? She was the one who'd intruded and made incorrect assumptions! She was about to shake her head, but he quickly shifted his expression and tone one more time, inviting her to play with them and asking the other boys if that was okay, who nodded in agreement.
An invitation to play? From children she'd never met before? That was equally surprising, and Faun didn't know what to say. No, of course she did! "Sure!" *Then a pause. Then a blush. Then a shuffling of her feet as she stared at her boots, meekly asking, "... play what?"

"Um . . . I know! Let's play hide and seek! Just one rule though. No using the Force to find anyone; that would be cheating!" Kobi's voice was full of excitement as he spoke; hide-and-seek was his favorite game to play after all. There was a grand smile on his face now too. "You'll be it first and we'll go run and his somewhere in the base. Just count to thirty and we'll go run and hide and you come find us when you're done counting!" With that said, Kobi wouldn't even give Faun a chance to respond as he, Alec and Raz'jani jetted off in different directions with Kobi himself heading quickly into the base and toward the Dining Area.

Hide and seek? That was fun! She nodded, believing it was fair to not use the Force to find each other, but frowned when Kobi said they were going to go hide out in the base instead of just in the gardens. That didn't sound entirely fair to her, but she had no time to protest, as the boys immediately ran off to hide. She pouted and stamped her foot; this was mean! The base was so big, and they could hide anywhere! Finding them would take forever... But it looked like she had no choice, so she sighed and covered her eyes, counting to thirty somewhat slowly, before finally reaching the number and, after scouring the gardens first to make sure none of them stayed behind to be fair, sighed and jogged out into the base proper.

The breeze was sweet through the garden of tea and jasmine so lovingly maintained by the hulking form sitting beneath the gazebo. To look at this being, one would not suspect his nature at all, for his was a mighty and scarred form, stripped to the waist, large even for a species known for their brutal build. An ornate staff leaned against one of the pillars, and a young twi'lek sat across from the large being, a small table between them. Upon this table sat a small ceramic pot and tumblers clearly handmade, and a smell of bergamot permeated the air. They had been speaking for some time, after the gardener had first encountered the young girl hiding in the gardens.
"It is difficult to be young and new in a new place. Even now, old as I am, I remember when I was younger than you, brought to the temple for the first time from Toola. I know that the world feels dark and frightening when you are alone. Remember young Ulla, in darkest times, hope is something you give yourself. That is the meaning of inner strength."
Master K'mogh poured tea for himself and his young companion and smiled in his peculiarly whiphid way, putting the end of a pipe into his mouth and puffing it gently. "Sharing tea with a fascinating stranger is one of life's true delights."
He brought the tumbler to his mouth and sipped the tea, assessing the young girl. "You will be here for a long time, for the study of the force is not an easy one. There are many pitfalls of which one must always be wary. However, if you have faith and trust in yourself, your fellow students, and your teachers, I believe you shall make as fine a jedi as could be hoped. If you look for the light, you can often find it, but if you look for the dark, it is all you will ever see. Meditate on this."
They sat in thoughtful silence for a few moments while they finished their tea.
Thank you Master K'mogh. And thank you for the tea.
K'mogh smiled again and bowed, pleased to have helped the youngling. "Thank you for sharing it with me, Ulla. I shall count myself very fortunate to share my tea with you again."
The youngling left the gazebo, and K'mogh resumed smoking his pipe. This corner of the gardens was his favorite, Master Calmcacil had always allowed him to maintain it, and choose what grows. He had been grateful for that.

*He had given his report to the Council, and had also introduced the girl to them. They had taken the rest from there, in regards to the Coruscant Temple proclaiming they would monitor the situation and have a report as soon as possible. Yleqos trusted their judgment, but the Caamasi Master was still a bit unsettled. Granted, the attacking force had been small, and the Temple's defenses weren't exactly in great number, but what if there had been more where they came from? If they were part of a larger force?
If they came here, Yleqos would stand on the frontlines against them, and he knew Narvos would do the same. He personally would not allow the invasion of the new center of the Order.
Yleqos knelt on the ground of the gardens, hands resting on his knees, eyes shut as he attempted to meditate, focusing on the Force, seeking answers, guidance, calm. While the gardens certainly weren't as elaborate as the Room of a Thousand Fountains, it was still diverse and calming. Narvos stood not far from him, arms folded and pacing, huffing every now and then. Yleqos was simply trying to let go; the Coruscant Temple hadn't been home to the Jedi for quite some time, after all. The archive data had already been copied to the Jedi's mainframe; the only thing left were relics. Including the Temple itself. But material objects were useless. Perhaps worth one day recovering, but not worth risking a counter-invasion for.*
"This doesn't sit right with me," *Narvos growled, causing Yleqos to open one eye.* "We need to go back and take back our home!"
*Yleqos sighed and opened both eyes, turning his head to watch the pacing Nelvaanian.* "I'm sure a great many of us would like to, Narvos, but we must be practical. What worth is the Jedi Temple to us, honestly? Mere history's sake? Do we risk more Jedi and military lives simply to retake a mere outpost?"
*Narvos stopped pacing and looked upon the Caamasi, staring him in the eyes for several moments, before huffing and shaking his head.* "Unfortunately you're right. But you're acting awfully complacent about it."
"Narvos, I am here to attempt to find some peace, some guidance from the Force. It is calm here." *After a brief pause, he added,* "And the aroma's much more pleasing."
*Despite himself, Narvos allowed a small chuckle before turning away.* "You do what you must, but I won't sit calm about it."
"Calm is our prerogative, my friend. If we are not calm, how can we be expected to make wise decisions?"
*Narvos grunted.* "I wasn't instated to make wise decisions. I was instated to bash in the skulls of those who'd disrupt the Temple."
*He wasn't going to let this go, was he? To be fair, he was a Brute, Jedi security; it was in his blood, both literally and figuratively, to fight for his family. Nelvaanians were a proud race, after all. Yleqos decided to let him be and return to meditating; the sooner he was able to come to terms with what had transpired, the better. And any hand he could lend, he would be happy to...*

*Although she appeared blind folded, Giselle could still perfectly see her way around with the force, as she lead the way out into the gardens, where it was a bit more calm and relaxing than the hustle and bustle of the hangar. It was here, that Giselle took a seat on a bench and motioned for Khazak to do the same next to her, offering forth a friendly smile as she did so. Here she could far more easily get a sense and feel for him, and judge just what he was capable of* So... tell me a little about yourself Khazak? what is it that draws you to our Order?

Khazak had followed the woman, and when she motioned for him to sit he complied. As he sat beside her she spoke to him, asking about who he was and why he had been drawn to the order. The answer to that question was a difficult one, for one thing Khazak had yet to figure out who he was, he didn't truly know a lot about himself. The majority of his life had been spent in hellish training or in a war zone. The few parts that weren't had been those weeks meditating with Anya in the forests of Kashyyk.
"My name is Khazak, I don't know of any last name that I possess. My mother was a sith sorceress, and when I was young she experimented on me and trained me. It was under her tutelage that I built my first saber." He paused after this statement and drew from his hip his red saber. it was single bladed and featured a fairly simple design. Made of titanium with small patterns inlaid in the metal. These patterns took the shape of small vines that worked their way around the hilt and emitter. The pommel was a simple flush design and the edges were rounded. Inside a red synthetic crystal was ready at any moment to spark forth a violent red blade. The entirety of the hilt had numerous scratches and scuffs from the many battles and training sessions it had endured. He held it forward so she could examine it if she pleased, if not he would merely place it on his hip again. "Eventually she was slain by a jedi while I did battle with his padawan. I saw the Jedi kill her and i was overcome with rage. I quickly overtook the padawan and dispatched her, before i....killed the man with the force. I took my mother's saber as she died in my arms and began to forge my own path. Eventually i met Saris, and instead of fighting him allowed myself to be captured. Eventually the man came to trust me, and i respected him and his companion Anya. On Kashyyk, Anya began to help me let go of my past and rid myself of the darkness within me. I have followed her instructions to the best of my knowledge and I wish to train under her. I have decided to leave the path of darkness and join that of the Jedi, but as you may have sensed i have been suppressing my force signature. I will stop so that you may truly see me now." After he finished speaking he stopped concentrating on suppressing himself and allowed all of his emotions and the maelstrom that was his force to surround himself again. It was not active, but it could be felt now.

*When offered forth, Giselle did not shy away from accepting the blade, turning it over in her hands and exmanining it whilst Khazak spoke. She could sense the anger and rage that had fuelled Khazak every time he had drawn his saber and struke someone down with it. She took only a moment to get a feel of the hilt's construction, before it rose in the air and came apart, it's individual pieces suspended before her. Whilst many would have needed to do such a thing to see only the inside mark up of the saber, Giselle did it so as to better examine through the force, before reassmbling the hilt and handing it back to Khazak before he opened himself up to her gaze* Fear... Anger... Hate... Emotions that are all deeply rooted within the darkside, and I sense them within you. But I sense much suffering within you. Choices forced upon you by fate have led you upon a dark path, but even so, you seek the light willingly, so that you might yet be saved... For you, that light takes form in Anya yes? If I understand correctly, it is she who you will undertake your training with correct?

Khazak nodded as Giselle spoke, his eyes stared at the ground, the yellow in them as potent as ever. No matter what he had done, he couldn't get the yellow to go away, a permanent reminder of his time as a sith. Saris had told him that most darksiders lost the yellow shortly after making the decision to return to the light, but Khazak's may never disappear. He had been raised as a sith and had been engulfed in the darkness since before even birth. Taking his saber back from Giselle he placed it on his belt once more and sighed.
"Yes, Anya has set me on a daily routine of meditation and is teaching me to focus my power. I have but two requests, first that I be allowed to join the order and when the time arises play my part as I have done before, and second that I be allowed to make two new sabers. The ones I carry have caused much death and pain, I wish to lock them away and never use them again."

*Yleqos looked up from his meditations and Narvos ceased his pacing to turn towards the man who had appeared, offering a quick bow before focusing on the Nelvaanian.* "Apologies if I'm interrupting, but you are Narvos, yes?"
*He was recognized? He huffed and turned to fully face the man, folding his arms before nodding. Since he didn't speak, the man continued, gesturing towards the gardens' entrance.* "If it's not too much to ask, a potentially-dangerous prisoner has just been delivered to the planet and is being led to the detention area. If it's not too much to ask, would you mind keeping guard over him?"
*Narvos raised an eyebrow. A prisoner here? Work already? While he would have preferred to fight back against those marauders on Coruscant, he admitted that having a job would be a better usage of his time than simply standing here waiting. He glanced toward Yleqos, who nodded, so Narvos returned to the man and gave a nod as well.* "Very well, lead the way."
*The man, seeming pleased, turned and beckoned for the Nelvaanian to follow. Narvos exchanged one final look with Yleqos, then he departed the gardens, leaving the Master behind to continue meditating.*

*Giselle sensed a slight shift as he spoke of Anya, but what exactly it implied, she could not be entirely certain. Since the subject soon shifted to the couple of requests that he had. She had no reason to not grant either of them, and since she had gotten him far from everyone else, she'd had a good chance to examine him and determine whether he really was ready to start the path. She then tilted her head up a bit and followed a bird as it descended to a nearby tree, not that she needed to do the motion, since the force allowed her to see everything* You seem genuine enough in your resolve to become a Jedi and redeem yourself. I have no reason to deny your request to join our noble Order and resume your training under Anya. I trust you know that you shall have to grow a padawan braid, or take up an artifical one, yes? as to your sabers, I will leave that matter to Anya, since it shall be at her discretion to decide when you are ready to construct new weapons. As to your current one, I will be more than happy to ensure it is put under lock and key with the Council of First Knowledge, unless you have any objections?

Stronger than she had been, nearly ever, Kent decided to enjoy the gardens. She was enjoying the sounds of the forest world. She had never been anywhere like this. Her books did not do it justice. She was learning much by taking it all in. She listened to masters and nights teaching in the breeze. She turned a corner and ran right into an older Zabrak. Running flat into him. Sir, I am very sorry.
