Cane's V-wing did a flyby of the base and then circled once - looking down into the staging area where the bulk of what remained of Altair's ground forces were prepping an expedition into the Forest to help @dutch's soldiers with their crashed ship. Three dozen troopers in Forest tac gear with various supplies both medical and otherwise being piled into cargo crawlers so they could move quickly through the Forest to the aide of the downed ship. Opening the comlink he had established between the two speeders he pinged the connection once before speaking.
::On me, Jedi...::
He circled the base one final time watching as the Jedi Pilot prepped the airspeeder below. They would be in the air within moments.

Lifting her right index finger and swinging it in a circle, an amused half-smile curling the left corner of her lips upwards, Kaiya says in an amused tone, "Answering that would only invite a lengthy and ultimately circular discussion on the merits of striving to surmount obstacles of whatever kind that may very well prove to be, in the end, insurmountable, vod. Pursing her lips in thought as she waits for her twin to get into the cockpit before following suite, Kaiya fails to heed her own warning about the potential dangers of continuing to debate an issue that has been, and probably will continue for ages to be, debated for ages and age, wonders aloud, In fact, I seem to recall a fable from somewhere concerning that very same philosophical quandary."
Strapping herself into her seat while continuing to speak her thoughts aloud, Kaiya says, "You know the one I'm sure. It was something about wings and not flying too close to the sun or the sea, the sun representing hubris, or perhaps allowing it to drive one to strive for perilously impossible things out of the misguided belief that the impossible can be made possible if one possesses sufficient will to push on past the impossible into the theoretical possible laying in wait beyond it, while the sea stood in for complacency or maybe the torpor which never challenging oneself can elicit in those that never do? The moral of the story, interestingly enough fitting really rather well enough with the ideals espoused by the Jedi code, as it seems many philosophies throughout the universe do in many ways, as I'm sure you've noticed, was that one should find a balance between prudence and valor, either one in excess ultimately a perilous indulgence."
Hearing Cane's voice as it comes in over her helmet's linked communicator, Kaiya checks her straps again somewhat nervously as she tells Ellie, "I'm ready if you are, vod." Closing her eyes, not as much to avoid witnessing the impending liftoff, which nearly always makes her stomach feel queasy, as to begin wading into the depths of the Force so that she is open to anything It might choose to reveal to her about the artifact they seek.

*Ellies pre-flight check slowed down as her sister began to recall the fable she had in mind. After several seconds, Ellie had come to a complete stop and stared at her twin.* "I think you should have taken up philosophy, or working in the library. You seem to have the history down to a science." *She then turned back to finish her work.*
*Ellie grinned at her sister when she said she was ready.* "You bet I am." *She throttled the ships engines until they roared to life. Taking the yoke firmly in her hands, she launched the ship out of the hangar. The force from the take off pushed her back into her seat and caused her stomach to drop. The vessel shot out of the hangar like a rocket before turning hard skyward. Ellie leveled the vessel out and brought it to safer speeds before falling in behind Cane.* "Well, that was fun."

The hanger was a buzz of activity today as techs, repair crews, and several dozen clone troopers all in phase II forest camo style armor were directing equipment and medical supplies into rows carevan style to be moved out of the back of the hanger bay. Clearly some sort of relief or rescue mission was going on, and from the rhythm of the workers and the ease at which they performed their tasks they were either quite good, or it had been going on for some time now, days perhaps. Noting the presence of the Jedi a pair of troopers moved towards the newcomer, he was clearly expecting someone else, but this was the day for things like that.
”Sir! Where were you directed by Traffic Control? I can put you on the right course?”

With the sound of the lightsaber coming to life several clone troopers from around the hangar stopped what they were doing and raised their weapons toward the Jedi, forming a wide semicircle caging him against the wall. The clone that the Jedi has pushed back panicked for a moment dropping his weapon. Then with a deep exhale spoke softly.
”Relax General. Nothing here is as it seems to you. Relax brothers he’s not going to hurt me.
The trooper spoke with a voice of command but there was something in the words that made him not believe it. Raising his hands defensively against the wall he slowly removed his helmet revealing a face that was completely different from the one the Jedi would expect.

The trooper relaxed slightly replacing his helmet, only then did the other troopers arranged throughout the room lower their weapons and take a step back - some of them returning to their duties while three others remained around the Newcomer, looking between themselves wondering what to do with this one. Technically with Cane on a mission Patch was in charge - the chain of command was getting shorter and shorter, and they were all struggling just to link themselves on.
”The Jedi Master here hasn’t been available for some time. With the War against the First Order and all he has been kept preoccupied. I’ll send him a message you are looking for him, but I suggest a meal and some rest. No offense, sir, but you look awful.”

The clone trooper replaced his helmet and nodded slightly. And the other clones made a path towards the entrance that would lead towards the Jedi council room. ”Well let the force guide you towards the council chambers... the Jedi will find you there.”

Rawkill gave a reassuring smile to Meeri. He understood her pain and the sense of loss she was feeling. It was only natural. She just had to make sure she did not give into such feelings and let them control her. He remained quiet as the two Padawans and the Smuggler argued it out. Watching and ready to jump in, if either of the girls let their feelings get out of control.
But both Meeri and Red made him proud. Even if Meeri had her saber in hand, it was never ignited once. And Red. She was able to sense the man's dishonesty. With her droid providing the final damning evidence that Nasser had indeed been the last person to see Salen. Rawkill set his gaze upon Nasser, as the man tried to leg it and make an escape in his ship. Rawkill saw the fuel line and gave a nodBarca, shut down traffic to this landing pad and summon security! The Overseer gave a nod before running off to summon security and get the lockdown implemented. Rawkill meanwhile closed his eyes, reaching out to the force through all his senses. His smalls arms raised into the air as he gripped the fuel line. The tubing suddenly became like a snake, as it writhed back and forth, before shooting across the surface of the landing pad. It wrapped around the landing gear and tied itself in a knot as the YT-1000 started to try to take off.
Rawkill pulled back, the cable yanking against the freighter back down onto the surface of the landing pad. There was a loud screeching noise of metal against metal, as the landing gear hit the deck. Rawkill then reached out one hand and gripped a cargo container. Lifting it through the air, he placed it atop the Freighter, before reaching out to another fuel line. It shot out of its storage spot and wrapped around another leg of the Freighter. Tying it down.
Rawkill lowered his hands as he opened his eyes, looking upon the struggling Freighter. A pair of LAAT Gunships swooped into view in the air above, the guns trained on the YT-1000That should hold him...Rawkill pulled out his commlink, which was patched through to the comm frequency of the Liar's GambitI suggest you power your engines down and step out of the ship Captain Nasser, you are surrounded and out gunned...Rawkill put the commlink away and turned his attention to Red and Meeri as a handful of Temple Guardians and Galactic Alliance Soldiers formed a line to either side of himYou two would do well to stay behind me... I do not think he will give up without a fight...Rawkill unclipped the pair of shoto sabers at his waist and ignited the green and blue blades, as the engines to Nasser's ship powered down. The landing ramp lowering a few moments later She watched, Meeri gripping Red's hand fervently, while her other hand gripped the lightsaber, with her thumb on the trigger, ever ready to ignite. But as it was, she followed Red's example, who remained cool, despite everything transpiring, and also waited patiently, trusting in the masters to do what needed to be done. Rawkill was quick to act on the opportunity that Red had noticed, and she was more amazed by how quickly the LAATs came. The Honest Liar was effectively grounded and Nasser, from the cockpit, looked dejected, but absolutely mutinous. She shivered slightly, feeling waves of hatred coming from him.
A lot of it was aimed at her, and her droid.“I'll make you pay for this, kid!” Nasser spat as he emerged from the ship's ramp, hands upraised in surrender. The sight of Rawkill with his sabers drawn visibly intimidated the Feeorin, but he reeled even further when Meeri ignited her lightsaber and aimed it at his throat, whilst standing behind the Ewok Jedi master, her hand shaking, causing the blade to wobble and waver unsteadily, and that made him close to wetting himself. “Threaten my friend again, and you'll lose something important.”Red eyed Meeri warily beside her, and finally placed a calming hand on the girl's shoulder, “Meeri, if he is rendered unable to speak, we'll lose our best chance at finding your brother.” Sighing, the other girl deactivated her blade and scowled, muttering under her breath, so that only Red and Rawkill could hear, “Just giving him incentive to cooperate.”Her lips curled upwards slightly, but she didn't smile outright, and she approached Nasser, looking up at him seriously, but still remained relatively behind Rawkill, “What have you done with my friend...and the...the...” she wasn't sure where the thought had come from, but her eyes widened, and she said, “and the others? You have taken other younglings and even Padawans somehow...” Blanching, Nasser looked like a nuna caught in the floodlamps, and that confirmed it for everyone that Red was on to something, and murmurs began. Drawing on what little of the Force she could control, she pushed the Feeorin slightly, causing him to stumble, with her hand stretched forward, palm facing him so that it was obvious she did it, “Answer me,” she said, her voice soft, but stern, “where did you take them?” “Nar Shaddaa, they're in Nar Shaddaa.”

"You were there when I got here." It wasn't stated as a question."Sorry." "Hey guys... s-sorry for just barging in..." "It was Brakus' fault. He has the patience and manners of a Reek." "Errr.... Yeah. Sorry guys... A quick glance at the Jedi. "Sorry to intrude..." *Morgan nodded to Elly but any potential reply was cut off by the sudden arrival of the trio. Morgan, Laney, Koda, and Niam alike all felt a sense of annoyance at their unannounced presence; understandable, when this ship was essentially their sanctum. Morgan, at least, knew it was absolutely not Jake's fault... confirmed a second after when Felia corroborated this.*"Well, you're here now," *said Niam, controlling his agitation,* "so what can we do for you? We're kind of in the middle of repairs."

*The dim glow of a datapad lit up a corner of a cargo container. In said corner was a young girl deeply engrossed in the story she was reading. Most children her age would find history boring, but not Eva. She found that the best stories were always the ones that actually happened. So distracted was she that she didn't even notice the cargo vessel was about to land until it touched down.*
*The cargo container shook beneath her causing her to almost jump in surprise. She looked around momentarily before shoving the datapad back into her duffle bag that sat beside her. Carefully she stood up and stretched the stiffness from her body. This had been a long flight, but she was closer to home, a few more stops and she'd be there. For the past several days Eva had been freighter hopping in an attempt to get back to Taanab. She shouldered the duffle bag and head towards the door. Reaching into the pocket of her green cargo pants, she retrieved a small datacard. One she had been using to unlock cargo cntainers from both the inside and outside. With a soft click, the door opened at her command. What she saw was not what she expected.*
*She stood there and stared in shook. Directly outside the hangar was not Theed, but the edge of a massive fungal forest. Eva hugged her duffle bag close to her chest even as the humid air hit her. She had expected it to be a little colder, which is why she wore a light brown jacket over her black t-shirt. Eva shook off her surprise and looked about the hangar. The realization that she was at the wrong port was starting to sink in. Even still, she couldn't just stand there. She hopped out of the container and landed softly, even in boots, and moved quickly away from the freighter. She needed a plan, and at the top of that list was figuring out where she was. As she scanned the hangar, she noticed a lot of soldiers and people in robes. This was...unsettling. All she could do now though was wait for the right person to tell her where she was.*

*Another year, another upgrade, and her father's "diagnostic" tests were no less annoying than the prior two upgrades'. Still, she had been freed at last and was allowed to roam around once more. A good idea, because it helped her get used to this new body. Or was it just her old body, modified? She'd never thought to ask, and by now she was so far away from the tech labs that she didn't think it was worth the effort to walk all the way back there and do so. Her need to know was strong, but right now, she just wanted to play!
Living among Jedi was a fun experience she had to admit, but she felt a little envy that they had powers she couldn't use. She'd asked Daddy about modifications that could make her use the Force, only to be disappointed when he explained it wasn't that simple. At least she could brag about her having a robot body...
She entered the hangar, where she could usually find the most people. She also found that the noise and atmosphere helped her adjust better to her modified senses. All the faces were recognizable as well; she found she was good at remembering faces. One, though, stood out to her, a girl a few years older than her, and she frowned. She looked lost, which basically meant she was new here! She wasted no time in darting up to the girl, stumbling once or twice, and coming to a stop in front of her, folding her arms behind her back and staring up at her.* "You're new here. Who are you?"

*Eva bit her lower lip as she scanned the hangar. The more she saw, the more the pieces of the puzzle fit together. She had a very strong feeling of where it might be, she just needed someone to confirm it.*
*She didn't have to wait long. As a girl several years younger than her ran up to Eva. She almost had to brace herself from the girls enthusiasm.* "I..I'm Evangeline. My friends call me Eva." *She glanced around the hangar real quick then back to the girl.* "Where exactly is here?"

*A nervous girl too. Not uncommon, but still strange to Gracie; new places were always exciting to her! But what made Gracie frown was the fact that the girl—"Eva"—didn't know where "here" was.* "You don't know? You're at the Jedi Base on Felucia!" *Her eyes narrowed as she further scrutinized her curiously.*

*Eva's suspicions of where she was were now confirmed. The second half of the girls statement caught her off guard, however. She fumbled for words for a second, since her mind was still processing what the girl said.* "The Jedi base!? I..I shouldn't be here. This is a mistake. I'm trying to get to my home on Taanab. I came in that freighter.." *She turned and pointed at the ship. The very ship that was now pulling out of the hangar and leaving her behind. A pit formed in her stomach as she realized that she was stranded.* "..right...over..there."
*Eva was silent for several seconds before she turned to Gracie. She was stuck her now, so she might as well learn the girls name. Letting out a slow breath, she centered he herself and tried to remain calm.* "What's your name?"

The Smuggler/Kidnapper valuing his life more than the information he had. Information which he would extract in due time. Rawkill had been about to call a pair of guards over then, when the shaking blade of Meeri ignited forth towards the man's throat. Settled a few seconds later by the steady hand of Red. Saving Rawkill the task of calming the girlOh, he will cooperate...Rawkill said in response to Meeri's whispered statement. Red then began her questioning. Something he was about to cut off when she landed upon a realisation. A truth he felt scream loudly through the Force from Nasser as Red confronted him with it. Rawkill motioned to the guards then. A pair of them rushing forth and grabbing Nasser by the arms as he stumbled to one knee. His confession coming moments later. Rawkill deactivated his sabers and clipped them back to his belt as he motioned to Red to lower her handNar Shaddaa? Where exactly are they? Who was your contact there?Rawkill extended his paw, reaching out to ease the Feeorin's mind with the force. Preferring to use less hamrful methods to attain the information he sought. A lesson he would need to teach Red. Ran lifted his gaze to meet Rawkill's. His eyes looking glazed overNew Vertica... A Zygerrian by the name of Slav Kippur...Take him to the detention cells...Yes Sir!The pair of guards dragged Nasser off into the Temple, to deliver him to the detention cell block. Rawkill then turned toward Red and Meeri, while the guards cordoned off the landing pad and set the watching crowd back to their duties. The LAAT Gunship then resuming its usual patrol. He let out a long sigh as he studied the two girlsMeeri, you have my word, I will find your brother and bring him back. But you have to remain here and continue your training, understood? But Master...No but's. You are far too close to this. You still have much training to do, lest you fall prey to your emotions. And when you lose control, that is when the Dark Side takes you... Offering you a promised easy solution to all your problems. Now go. Go find your Master and resume your training...Ok Master...He could sense her resentment and reluctance as she turned around and headed back into the Temple. Rawkill directed his attention to Red then. Weighing up what to do with her for a moment. Unlike Meeri, he knew she would not so easily be swayed to stayingYou still have much to learn Padawan. And while I admire your calm. There is more than one way to skin a cat. Such force should only be used as a last resort... Now, on to more pressing matters... If I let you embark on this mission with me, you must follow my lead, understood? Violence may work against the likes of Nasser, but the Force is a powerful tool when wielded properly. And applying it properly will be key to resolving this issue...

"Gracie," *she answered, leaning to the side to peer past Eva at the departing ship with a scowl. Frowning, she rebalanced herself and tilted her head.* "If you're not supposed to be here then why did they drop you here and leave?"

*Eva's face turned slightly red in embarrassment at the question.* "Well..you...see. They may not have known I was on their ship, like at all. Because...I may have stowed away on it. I've been trying to get back home, and this has really been the only way of travelling."
*As she spoke, realization dawned on her, something about this girl was strange. Not in a bad way, but it felt as if something was missing. Eva knew that she was force sensitive, she had even practiced meditating and trying to sense other beings. She had even reached a point were she wasn't half bad at it. Now Gracie posed a new challenge that she couldn't place a finger on immediately. There wasn't something just missing as much as it wasn't there to begin with or Gracie was hiding something. Eva finally put the pieces of the puzzle together. She tilted her head to the side some quizical expression on her face. The thought of the freighter leaving her behind had been forgotten in the presence of this new question.* "I can't sense you in the force."

Obediently, Red lowered her hand now that Ran Nasser had given the answer. And she blushed a little, her cheeks flushing a deeper shade than normal, as she realized she had quite literally overstepped her authority in front of an esteemed Jedi Master. She was only glad the Ewok was particularly patient with her and her hasty presumptuous nature. It seemed that the Feorin was quite broken now, and the girl felt a little bad about that, believing she had a hand in that, even if he was a bad person. She didn't need to make things worse. But she memorized the details given; a Zygerrian by the name of Slav Kippur, in New Vertica on Nar Shaddaa. She felt bile rising to her throat. She lived on Nar Shaddaa for quite a few years, and it had been, for better or worse, her home until only recently.
When Rawkill regarded her and Meeri, the crimson-skinned girl cast a furtive glance towards her spirited friend, and she realized that there was no way Meeri would not be emotionally compromised in pursuit of her brother's abductors. True enough, Rawkill foresaw this as well, and she watched regretfully as the girl was sent on her way to resume training. Meeri was a fine student of the blade, and she had already bested one knight in training. She took to one knee and bowed her head when the Ewok gently reprimanded and stated the conditions. She nodded, her expression solemn, “I understand, master,” said Red, “I submit to your guidance and wisdom.”
She rose to her feet then, and looked around, “I believe I will be of significant assistance on Nar Shaddaa. I lived there most of my life until only recently. Do we leave immediately?”

"You were stealing rides?!" *Gracie exclaimed with widened eyes, shocked at the confession. Then she squinted and frowned.* "Why'd you do that anyway if you didn't know where the ship was going?" *However, it appeared Eva wasn't really paying attention to her words. Gracie only continued to frown before Eva suddenly noted she couldn't sense Gracie in the Force. The girl sighed as she folded her hands behind her back and glanced around indiscriminately.* "It's cuz I'm a robot..." *Another observation registered in her mind and she blinked.* "Wait, you can use the Force?!"

"I...I wasn't stealing anything. Just..not telling anyone. I did know where it was going, it must have made an unscheduled stop is all." *Eva stammered her defense quickly. She really didn't want to get in trouble, especially for traveling the only way she knew how. Then Gracie's explanation of way Eva couldn't sense her caught her off guard.* "You're a robot? That's...so cool!" *Eva had so many questions for her inquisitive mind, but she needed to focus on the task at hand.* "Yes, I can use the force. Well, sort of. I can sense things, and that's about it."
