Will's eyes are singularly focused on the demon-like Sith, having it rush on Will before Will needed to react made his life a bit easier as the winged being came down hard with his glaive; the jedi master master took the moment he needed to call apon the Force to protect himself from any attacks of his mind or self that may come from the manipulation of the Force, Son'tir flourishes his lightsaber into a high guard to strike against the glaive-- his eyes widen just a bit as the alloy resists the white hot energy of the lightsaber blade. Will refocuses his eyes to meet those of the demon, and performs a swift backhanded fist straight across the Sith's face. Whether his opponent is quick enough to lean away from the blow or is effected by it, Will opens his palm and calls the shoto hilt from his belt and ignite's the old glory blade straight toward the face of his adversary.

Ifrit smiled at the Jedi's shocked expressions as their blades clashed and held there. Before he could swing the lower blade up into the Jedi's chest, the man backhanded him across the face. His barrier absorbing the impact. Ifrit swung his right glaive around the Jedi's lightsaber and up to deflect the activating shoto blade up and away from his face. Holding both blades at bay, while he swung his left glaive around, aiming to punch the Jedi in the side with the hand guard area of his weapon

As the Sithspawn rushed them the troopers fell into tight ranks protecting the command team - which in turn protected the shipment. Their progress was slowed by the beasts but they kept on - pushing their way across the hanger bay yard by yard - and at the center of the group Lucian and Jez stood shouting orders almost in unison - their clone twin minds linking them to be the perfect synergistic analyst and command they group had. The Fury Class Interceptor about 30 yards ahead had powered up their engines and completed pre-flight even as the group was waylaid by the beings now separating them. Every 30 seconds without fail Liz was able to put one down with a super charged plasma blast that at this range was hot enough to melt through just about anything - the rest of the soldiers however emptied round after round of blaster fire into the SithSpawn who didn't even seem to mind the harassment and kept on coming.
The soldiers fought hard even as they were dragged away from the main group by the beasts and devoured - their armor hardly protecting them against the creatures of darkness. After a half dozen had been taken Lucian changed tactics and ordered the group to scatter while the command crew tightened ranks to protect the cargo - hoping to distract the beasts by the motion and make them scatter as well. A downside of this sacrifice was that the troopers were more or less on their own as they scattered in groups of 2 or 3. With the scatter however there was an oppurtinity for the Star Razors anti personal blasters to come into play - large laser blasts smashing against the occasional SithSpawn or missing and charring the floor of the hanger.
Stitch lowered his weapons as two of the beasts broke free of the main group - unphased by the scatter technique and continued to stalk towards the crates. He stepped away from the rest of the group attempting to provide a distraction by making himself a target. It did not take long for one of the beasts to jump at him sensing the separation from the pack and deeming him a weaker target. Stitch hesitated only a moment until he was sure the beast had dedicated and then activated his personal shield and ducked causing the beast to slam into the shield and then his heavy white armor. His hand came up wielding a laser scalpel hoping to carve deep into the flesh beneath the foreleg - trusting his shielding and his armor to protect him from the claws and teeth of the beast as he shoved the scalpel deeper hoping to hit something important that would cause the beast to stagger back or hopefully collapse all together.

Will's fist gets deflected by some sort of forcefield, when his old gold shoto blade ignites-- the demon meets it with another glaive and deflects it out away from his face. The jedi master felt a sharp stabbing pain of a pummel jab to his kidney; forcing a wince out from the Corellian. Instantly, he converts the energy of getting hit in the side, to spin around into quick heel kick towards the abdomen. Drawing the Force inside, preparing another attack..

Even as their forces continued to dwindle the creatures maintained their push. Despite the casualties slowly racking up between the sniper shots and the blaster fire that managed to accumulate enough to break through their armour, they did not break. Their dead fell to the side, with those still alive merely moving around the corpses. As small groups broke up, the creatures maintained their main focus upon getting to the cargo. A couple of the Sith Spawn broke off to deal with the scattering soldiers.
The creatures dealing with the bomb finally managed to get the trigger mechanism set in, before starting the count down clock. More of the warriors guarding the bomb split off to go after the pilots and lead soldiers, to thin their numbers further. Meanwhile, the plate was replaced back on to the bomb to cover up the timer mechanism. Banríon pulled out the manual override remote, watching the fights and the progress of the group across the hangar bay. She locked her gaze upon the ship as it prepared to take off. Her thumb lightly passing across the detonator button.
Ifrit stumbled away as the Jedi round house kicked him in the side. His barrier still working to mitigate most of the impact. But the strike gave him a chance to widen the distance between them for a moment. He focused the Force into his right fist, as he thrust it forward and aimed a Force Push toward the Jedi Master. Hoping to widen the distance between them as he sensed the countdown begin

The Trooper's numbers were beginning to dwindle, which only caused those that remained to fight more fiercely. They became easier targets the few of them there were and so after they broke up the initial wave they consolidated back into groups simply fighting to survive the tide of Sith spawn - hoping their sacrifice was enough to get the cargo to the ship. The Star Razer had finally came to life blasting the creatures apart with much more powerful blaster cannons than the troopers carried but then even the shots were hardly accurate, and mostly useless to the soldiers as Janus would not risk firing near the groups themselves.
Lucian and Altair's command team were bleeding men and so the half dozen or so troopers that remained by their side to guard the crates found themselves shielded behind the personal shields of the three Commando's, standing back to back with Lucian and Jez as they wielded their hand blasters to little use, save the properly timed shot to the eyes that would often cause a beast to stumble enough for Stitch to leap upon it and surgically cut beneath its armor into the heart with his laser scalpel. They would all die before allowing the cargo to fall into enemy hands...
Liz and fuze's shields were beginning to buckle under the claws and fangs of several of the beasts attempting to break through the last line of defense - Lucian's voice had gone horse shouting orders to the nearby groups ordering them back to defend the crates but there was no getting through the ranks once they had scattered. Stitch's shield had long sense failed him and even his armor was beginning to look more beat up than the others as his blaster had failed earlier and the fight and we was forced to Melee with the creatures. Lucian's eyes widened as he noticed the last two personal shields fizzle down to nothing and shatter in a spray of energy just before the combined six creatures crashed down onto the armored Sniper and Demolitions expert. Stitch turned to rush to their aid but in the process his flank was also attacked by a beast that had noticed the distraction and leapt upon him in the moment. Lucian brought his blaster down and fired point blank into the beasts skull - he felt the heat rise as the plasma blast burned into the armor and the creature fell dead upon Liz. Jez was still behind him yelling into her Comm - attempting to reach Altair but the signal was being jammed - no doubt by the Sith or perhaps the late base defenses turning against them now. He believed his vision was going blurry but before he could second guess the matter he noticed the blue blur of a trio of shadowblades spring to life - tech crossed between the Jedi's lightsabers and a vibroblade - half similar to an ancient Mandalorian design - The blades were wielded by shadowalkers, and three of them just decloaked surrounding the group of beasts that were still clawing at Liz and Fuze. Another appeared at Stitch's side and almost as one all four of them descended upon the dark creatures - the blades carving easily into the armored hides of the beasts - and Lucian heard a shout from the hanger entrance.
"Secure the Cargo!"
*Altair activated his jetboots and leaped into the air flying across the room disruptor in hand charging and firing with deadly precision - each shot finding a weak point or an eye socket. Several other Shadowalker's dropped their cloaks from the mechanics racks flanking the sides of the Hanger - all wielding plasma sniper rifles similar to the one Liz had been using - their fire went to assist the groups of soldiers pinned down at various points across the hanger - allowing them to move towards the ship - or their own fighters, even still their losses had been high.. Altair landed next to Lucian and raised Fuze and Liz to their feet before stepping between them and the reformed ranks of Sith spawn and raising his bracers to the beasts - two bouts of flame shot from the sleeves of his trench coat bathing the beasts in flame. Then his disruptor set to work - the semi-auto fire setting dispensing the entire charge of the weapon in seven well placed shots tearing into the beasts at point blank range. The brief reprieve gave the troopers enough time to push the crates at last to the loading ramp of the Star Razer. Seven out of the Fifteen pilots had made it to their ships and now with the Shadowalkers covering them were able to start their own launch sequence. Altair holstered his disruptor and activated his own shield - the last among them who still had one and pulled his shadow blade free from one sleeve of his coat and joined combat with three of the Sith spawn that had rushed the loading port - giving his team enough time to finish loading - the four grounded Shadowalkers at his side forming a wall between the beasts and the cargo.

*It seemed the material could reforge almost in an instant, as though responding directly to its wielder's will. Even as the Jedi deflected the blade to the side, Sobrius's left hand released the hilt and came inward. In his mind, he saw the punch coming straight for his jaw, and his first instinct was to attempt to deflect it with his arm, but it was likely this Jedi had much greater physical strength than the Sith. Instead, while his hand was within reach of the Jedi, he once more unleashed a quick burst of lightning aimed square for the Jedi's torso, just before the fist made contact with his jaw. He withdrew his head slightly to soften the blow, but it still sent enough of a shock through him to cause him to stumble back a few steps.*

I couldn't help but smile just a bit as the Sith decided to go after me with lightening. There was no way for him to know it but the shards had been forged with attacks like this specifically in mind. As the lightening made it's way toward me it was sucked up by the shoulder guards of my shard guantlets pulling the energy in and reflecting it out of my fists and directly into his jaw along with my punch. Dropping my left arm down I spread my fingers out and release the fingers or the gauntlet, the metal reforming into 5 individual projectiles aiming for the Sith's hopefully electrocuted and recoiling form. It was good to know that in their first real combat that the shards were performing as expected, but I was still on my guard, this was still a fully trained Sith Lord and I'm sure he has more than just lightening up his sleeves.

Hoping to widen the distance between them as he sensed the countdown begin Will sets his eyes in a furied focused as he senses the Force swell in the demon's fist, he retracts the kicked leg back in a strong martial stance as he gathers enough power to throw a counter force push with 2 pointed fingers from his shoto hand-- negating the demon's effort with a breeze. With a flourish of his lightsaber, the jedi master continues the assault, continue to focus on garding his bodily self from a force attack and the demon in front of him. Continuing to use the force, he sends the shoto ahead of him as a torpedo, heading straight for the demon's face, while Will dashes forward with his main lightsaber a mid level slash aiming to bisect the Sith..
At current, the jedi master is blinded by his own self righteous anger, not aware of anything else going on aside from a dull sense of war.

Even as their own ranks were thinned out, the Sithspawn continued their assault on the soldiers that were still trying to move the artifacts to the larger ship. The creatures within the hive that Banríon commanded had no individual cares or thoughts. They acted as a greater whole to achieve what ever task commanded of them. While those under Zayara's command had pledged their lives to their general.
With the focus upon those assaulting the moving group, the creatures were still with the bomb stayed unhindered. Allowing them to glance toward Zayara, as the woman moved her hands about, signalling them some new orders.
Ifrit caught the motion upon the edge of his senses, as the creatures near the bomb started to tip it over. He brought his left blade up to deflect aside the shoto, sending it off into some corner of the hangar. He swung his right blade upward then, to bring the Jedi's strike to a standstill Enough! This is where it ends... The bomb dropped on its side then, its tip pointing toward the still grounded ship. Ifrit thrusted his blade forward, His wings spreading open then. With a flap of the membranes, he launched himself backward toward the AAL as Banríon pressed down on the manual override. The concussion bomb tore itself apart, sending super heated scraps through the air as the brunt of the explosion tore through the hangar bay toward the Fury-class Interceptor and anything that sat in the way. Meanwhile a less powerful shockwave erupted in the opposite direction.
Tasradan pushed the engines to life, launching the AAL through the air to close the gap and catch Ifrit in mid air. The front ramp was still closing as Tasradan pulled hard to the left on the controls, bringing the AAL into a sharp turn and allowing it to blast its way clear of the hangar bay.

*Altair's Jetboots sent a signal to his HUD informing him they were low on fuel and he cut them just before they would have dropped him to the ground. The defensive line they had formed in front of the Prepping Interceptor was holding but it wouldn't hold for long. He had pulled everyone back into the ship save for the group here, and the snipers he had on the scaffolding still taking shots at the wings of the line, keeping the monsters assaulting them back. He felt the engines roar to life behind him and Janus' voices appeared in his head calling out that they were ready for take off. There was a silence that carried over the room as Altair put his comm on and issued the order to take get the ship out - He had intended to remain behind to lead the charge with his shadowalkers against the bomb threatening every second to tear the hanger and the remaining Jedi forces to shreds.*
::Shadowalkers take the bomb::
The order had just passed through Altair's lips when then monsterous Sith leading the ranks tipped the bomb over and it suddenly exploded outward - right towards him and the Ship that was just then raising into the air - its thrusters angling to take it through the opening in the ceiling of the hanger. Altair's eyes widened and he was able to pass one final order through the comm - taking this moment to attempt to save his men, knowing that he was no doubt already dead.
RUN!
Altair crossed his coat in front of his face his arms and his body worn body armor the only thing protecting his face as the explosion quickly crossed the room and threatened to envelop him. Just as the flames reached them the soldiers that had formed the line all bunched up - one of them - the Medic named Stitch pulled Altair back into the huddle of heavily armored troopers and the last of them hit his Personal shield standing blood side to the firey death that overtook the small group moments later. Altair felt nothing but intense searing heat and then a thud against his flank that sent pain shooting up his side. The blast pushed them all back and as the second concussive wave shot out he was expecting to die... The remaining personal shield overheated and exploded in a flash of blue energy and the soldier wearing it was melted into his armor as the power core on his armor exploded - he would have died instantly, the others shielded from the brunt of the blast were hardly better off - all the oxygen being sucked out of the air around them - their air processors in their helmets overwhelmed by the smoke and two of them died moments later as their lungs exploded from the heat and smoke being sucked into them as the soldiers screamed in pain. Stitch - who's personal shield had been depleted at the beginning of the battle was the only one left - his fortified armor armor and his blast shield was the only thing that protected Altair from the last wave of heat wave. Altair's comm had blown during the furst concussive blast that had almost knocked him unconscious but he would have sworn that he heard the clone screaming right against his ear where the comm sat - he didn't remain conscious long enough to realize the truth of the matter - stitch had given his life to the flame to save his Captain from the last of the blasts. As the black too him he felt nothing but absolute pain, his armor half melted against his skin - his long dreads burned down to his scalp and his fathers coat completely disintegrated by the fire.
The Ships shields had taken the brunt of the first wave of the explosion, and the blast coupled with the angled thrusters shot the small ship into the air even as the second wave of the explosion caused the shields to buckle and fail - the last of the explosion tore into the ship as one side of the ship caught fire as it broke out of the hanger but unable to keep altitude falling to the ground just outside the walls of the jedi base.
The Shadowalkers on the scaffolding who had only a seconds warning of the explosion leapt from their perches above the battlefield through the windows of the hanger and out of the hanger - most of them had already cloaked themselves and the buckling walls of the hanger saving them from the brunt of the blast. The building stood, but who knew for how long - its structural support was blown and the heaving ceiling that held the retractable roofing now was buckling the walls and the entire thing was threatening to collapse inward - but for the moment it held, and Altair's remaining forces - save for the Captain himself who lay unconscious among the clones that had died to save him - were in full retreat.

The front ramp was still closing as Tasradan pulled hard to the left on the controls, bringing the AAL into a sharp turn and allowing it to blast its way clear of the hangar bay. Of course he didn't expect much from his shoto attack, and as his own blue blade was met with the that of the demon's, the demon exclaims that it is over. Before Will could have done anything about it, the Sith's eyes dart off to the side. Will looks as the bomb is dropped. The Sith disengages with a flap of his wings; the jedi master is momentarily distracted by the gust of wind created; but calls on the Force to bring strength into his legs to leap after the gargoyle esque foe...
but too late. As the bomb explodes, Will gets bodily swept up in the concussion and gets pushed off course. With a swift tuck and roll he recovers and wheels around to see the Sith get swallowed by its shuttle in midair. The Jedi Master sets his eyes wide but half covered by how low his brow is set sternly; the fires created by the explosion glisten in his icy blue eyes on his extinguishes his lightsaber in his hand. And calls the shoto back into his other.
Will shakes off his the dust and debris from his face and widens his perspective of the hangar, looking for his ostentatious brother in arms. .

Jair rounded the exterior of the base, now relatively close to the hangars. He lamented under his breath. The preliminary detonations had begun. But what was that? His A-Wing lay in the distance. It looked damaged, but not catastrophically. Perhaps a Force wave blew it out of the hangar. What a stroke of luck, were there such a thing! He climbed inside, having to temporarily jam the canopy shut manually. It sputtered to a start and began to hover. He slowly backed it up away from the base while aiming at some Sithspawn that were trying to run out of the hangars. He blasted a few of them for good measure.
