There are plans in the works to strike a couple of targets on Mandalore itself initially...then Concord Dawn. Fits with the mentality that Im giving Adi about trying to draw some mandos off yavin.

Just for reference, because I think we are months from being ready for this, Kel Sentris and I have been discussing a plot involving the Star Forge that would look to the Jedi like a Sith plot but would ultimately be a Mandalorian trap (for both the Jedi and the Sith)

I have plans for the Sith too. The lure of eliminating the Jedi once and for all along with promises of the Mando's being able to get along with one faction, and one faction only, of Force users. All lies of course. I was hoping to contact Kel IC and see about that as well as approach the Dark Tide. As I am a major playing in the Dark Tide such involvement by that faction will be purely for the benefit of the RP. Indeed, everything I do is for the benefit of this RP and my characters, planets, ships, ego can stand and fall as the story dictates.
One concern I do have is that I'll be taking on far too much stiff for one writer to shoulder. I'm happy to write on both sides of the fence, three if you count the Sith, but will struggle to do so if I have to shoulder significant parts of each side. With the possible involvement of the Republic and all the writers that come with it the Mando writers will be at a SERIOUS deficit, hence my intent to involved the Sith initially as the Mando's pawns. They will be betrayed by the Mando's which will give them the impetus to side with the Jedi against the Mandalorians (As originally stated in the planning threads of 1.5). We need more Mando writers as a lot of those that were on board seem to have vanished in the move from the old site.
I like this talk of reactions at home and Dav's reference to hyperspace travel and the time it takes is excellent. I too get my gears ground by people not paying attention to the time it takes to get from A to B and am trying to run all my various characters and stories in time with whats happening everywhere else. I'll be setting up a supply dump on Algara II which *peers at Davs map* isn't on there but is not too far away from the action. Actually, it is quite far on the map but is a straight run down the Hydian and up the Corellian run so that makes it not too distant. Anyway... It will be set up as both a diversion from Concord Dawn and Mandalore, as well as a trap for the Jedi. It will be a likely target and hopefully one that the Jedi will take. CD is heavily defended and, due to the Deathwatch attack of a few months ago, security is very tight. Nothing to stop and attack there but it'll end in tears for whoever does.
That's all I got for now. I've started a bit of an RP from the Mando side on Yavin Station and am looking for volunteers to write both sides. I was going to have the Jedi set up in and around the Onyx Dragon, possibly using an auxiliary bridge around there somewhere. They would then engage in guerrilla actions against the Mando occupiers.

I may be able to locate a few more Mandalorian writers. I had just finished assembling a new writing team for Lehon when the site crashed, and some of those people may still be interested.

Algara II isn't on there, Andi, because it's on the other side of the Galaxy. Have a look at the main map, which is both accurate (I spent hours researching the correct locations for every planet) and shows more or less every world, and only the worlds, on JvS (it's actually made for a slightly older version of the JvS boards and needs updating). Algara II would take days to travel to

I know where it is and I'm not so sure it would take days. Not as many as you may think anyway. I thought that the hyperspace routes make the travel quicker in some way. That's how they're always written in the books. Down the Hydian way then up the Corellian run. Would make it FAR shorter than a normal trip across the galaxy would be. I admit that it would still be longer than a next door system but not by loads. Unless I've got hat totally wrong of course, though I don't think so. I know the lanes aren't just safer passages. I refer to canon, the vong war I think, Han and Leia shaved a shitload of time off a jump using one of the deep core hypserspace lanes to get to... I forge. Maybe Eclipse base but maybe not.
Even so, its still viable for what I want. Basically the CD system is sealed and I want to avoid any traffic there. Same as the Mandalore system I guess. Kind of close the shop while we're away. Also, anything arriving from Algara would do so in a completely different vector, giving us an advantage should we wish to jump into a system from a different angle. Unlikely but possible.

If CD is hit, it wont be to take the planet...Only to hit a target or targets on the planet. Might or might not end in tears for anyone.

Algara II is too far away, man, it's most of the Galaxy away. Even using major hyper-routes, it's not a practical location for what you want. Don't forget that those major hyperroutes pass through Republic space - the Republic are likely to blockade those routes to prevent Mandalorian Forces using them.

Hmm... Maybe Dathomir then. Still... Could use Algara to hot rep worlds from the other side maybe, if it progresses that far. Or maybe as a fall back/rendezvous point should all go awry and some can't make it back to the Mandalore sector. We'll see.

I do so enjoy the arrogance of organics. They're always so surprised when the puny little droid blasts them into stray atoms floating on the breeze.

Can I be a part of the successful blockade run then? I want to stick it to some Mandos on the ground. Set some supplies a blaze. Talk with Dav, Jago and Vesten. "All things moving forward" Bail out of the system.
Perhaps I can escape with early warning plans for Osarian/Ossus? Which ever the decision was to attack. Surely with not enough time to evacuate or do anything more then "Button down the hatches, the bucketheads are coming." Then I can have an epic stand off with a Mando Badass.
Also, I think I wouldn't mind being a Mando fighting against the Sith, if you are still looking for volunteers. Will is Corellian born as an illegitimate child of a prominent clansmen, from the clan Son'tir. I could write as not so distant relative, fighting for the Mandos, against the Sith, or really anyone but the jedi. thoughts?
