*Ronan Starflare sat at his desk reviewing a datapad, the information on the screen more concerning to him than his grumbling stomach. There were rumors. Rumors that a certain, long-assumed dead red-skinned Twi'lek was not only alive, but kicking as well.
Many years ago, the Phoenix Imperium had dominated a good chunk of the Eastern Outer Rim, Yavin's backyard. Though the Jedi of Yavin and the Imperium had never crossed blades, they had long been in a state of cold war, silently eyeing each other, watching the moves the other made. But several years back, HNN had confirmed the death of Matar Lyndruss, former Lord Reagent of the Phoenix Imperium, following their fall from prominence and eventual collapse.
And yet now, here Ronan was, with a datapad full of intel, all corroborating the return of the red-skinned Emperor to the land of the living. This deeply concerned him.
More concerning was the intel in his mailbox beolow it, marked threat level black. In all his tenure as High Admiral of the Yavin IV Peacekeeping Taskforce, there was only one threat they had ever faced that had warranted threat level black: the pathogen known as the Corruption.
He had not seen hide nor hair of anything Corruption-related for some time. Not since Dav had killed one of the last Echoes in the Massassai temple dirtside. But they all still knew that the beast lurked in the shadows of deep space, aboard a slew of ships that Ronan himself had designed, tested, and subsequently volunteered to the Corruption during his own short stint as a Sith Lord, under the command of a man that Ronan had volunteered his face to as well.
The Echo of Darth Miros lived on, escaping the Yavin system with more firepower than Ronan would have liked to think about and hadn't been seen since.
Diligence always won the day, however, and Ronan began searching for the missing Sith Echo, sometimes disappearing for a few days to track down some leads, though his searches always came up empty, his trails cold.
So when Ronan saw the message marked threat level black in his datapad, his veins ran cold.*
"It can't be. The Interrogator hasn't been seen in years..."
