It did not take long for the wounded remnant of the Galactic Alliance to be founded. A once open space was soon occupied by two Imperial II-class Star Destroyers and at least four support vessels, which appeared to be Vindicator heavy cruisers by their appearance. At the front, the Star Destroyer, Regalia, led the charge at the command of Captain Cassio, officer of this flotilla. A report was sent to, shortly upon their arrival, of the discovery of this remnant within the Core Worlds. Once the report was sent, a swift command was made by the Captain.
Wipe their pathetic existence off the face of this galaxy!
The Star Destroyers, and their support vessels, turned their batteries on the wounded fleet and opened a heavy salvo upon the remnant fleet. Their presence would be ended here and Cassio would return a hero and with a promotion awaiting, hopefully.

As the Imperial ships pounded the wounded remnant navy, sensors would go off on their vessels as the Coalition 3rd Fleet and the 1st Medical Escort Fleet exited hyperspace from Corellia. Graemon got to work, examining the battlefield in question. The Imperials had the upper hand with firepower, but the arrival of reinforcements for the beleaguered allies would shore up the numbers. They just needed to use their assets, both ship and starfighter wise, carefully and appropriately. After examining the battlefield closing, the Baron opens a channel to the hammered allies.
Galactic Alliance remnants, this is Graemon Gorgano of the Corellian Coalition. We received your distress call and have brought up reinforcements. We are moving to intercept the enemy and protect your ships. Tell me, where are your people located? We were told that you had them settled somewhere on a base around or on Froz. The report was not specific. We will ready our marines for operations.
While a response was given, Admiral Gates would key his own comlink to Doctor Jameroo and Admiral Daveed's command.
=Admiral Gates= Medical Escort Fleet, prepare to move to intercept the Imperial vessels. We will aim to form a shield between them and our allies. Launch your starfighters and prepare your soldiers for boarding actions and ground operations.
With that said, the 3rd Coalition Fleet moves to engage. The MC90 star cruisers leading the way as they had the tougher shields and could easily absorb the firepower of the enemy Star Destroyers. Launch bays opened as squadrons were deployed to engage the enemy's starfighters. The Skirmish at Froz had begun.

Lynne watched from the bridge of Endless Salvation as the fleet exited hyperspace. The white and blue streaks gave way to the white pinpricks of distant systems, but what was truly eye catching was the battle already underway. All across the 1st Medical Escort Fleet, lights flicked to red as enemy contact was eminent. Orders were flying from officers to crew and from ship to ship. Fighters launched from their hanger bays ready to intercept enemy TIEs. A squadron of 12 E-Wings was assigned the specific duty of keeping the path from fleet to medievac sights clear for the lightly armed U-Wings and U-55s. The rest of the E-Wings were further divided into two teams. One would stay with the fleet and screen enemy fighters and bombers, while the other would provide close air support for troops on the ground. It was in this confusion that Major Tethras sent a fleet wide message to her marines.
=Merrill= Alright you sorry lot. I'm going to be on the surface leading from the ground. Now that doesn't mean the rest of you lot are going to have it easy. Be ready for any potential boarding parties, and once we no doubt have those Imps running for the stars, maybe snagging one or two Destroyers. Do your jobs, keep the medical staff safe, and we'll all be meeting back on Corellia for a nice refreshing drink.
Lynne couldn't help but smile to herself as she heard her old friends message over a bridge guard's comlink. But this was short lived, her attention drawn back to the holomap of the system in front of her. Captain Motier's shimmering holo image was standing on the opposite side of the table and was studying the battle intently. Occasionally he would look up and give orders to an unseen officer or key in a new suggested rout. But he finally seemed to settle on a strategy.
= Daveed= Ma'am, I suggest we have Shield of Salvation, Endless Salvation, and Dac's Revenge present broadside between the Destroyers and the beleaguered Remnant ships. It will give them time to regroup. Our ships are sturdy enough to take whatever fire isn't being sent toward those MC90s. I'll have Life and Liberty hold our flanks while Equality helps keep the path to your medical facilities clear for our transports.
A little nervous to have her lightly armed ship helping hold the line, Lynne hesitated to giver her assent. But her ship had survived the Battle of Dac, so she could probably handle a couple more scrapes.
=Lynne= Give the order. Once the wounded start arriving, I will be in the med bays, so all these calls will be yours. Understood?
With a nod, the Captain-of-the-Line went about giving his orders. He was also sure to update Admiral Gates of his fleets plans. Once the Remnant forces were better organized and either out of harms way or ready to join the offensive, his ships would do the same.

Drifting, lifeless in space, over the poisonous and infected world of Froz, the remains of both the Vigge and Cain Dracus' fleet could be seen at a distance, far from the engagement that was taking place. A war between factions, nothing more. And completely irrelevant to the monstrosities that now resided within the debris field. The engagement between The Corruption and the Dracus had been vicious. But both diseases had managed to negate each other, or so it has seemed at the time. Within the span of two years since the last battle between them, the Dracus and The Corruption had begun mingling and interacting on the microscopic level. Melding and altering each other to create something truly horrific...one just needed to disturb the debris field to find out exactly what horrors lay in store...

Captain Erso's attention was quickly drawn to the main viewport as the pair of Imperial II-class Star Destroyers and the 4 Vindicator-class Heavy Cruisers appeared out of hyperspace Raise the alert! All hands to battle stations! Divert energy to the bow shields! Get our people back aboard the fleet! Alarm klaxon's rung through the air across the Republic-class Star Destroyer and the Bothan Assault Cruisers. Maintenance crews hurriedly finished their works or recalled themselves immediately as the crew took to their stations. The shields shimmering into existence mere moments before the heavy salvo impacted upon the energy fields. The ships shaking from the impact, before the first wave of starfighters were deployed, with the broken fleet returning a salvo of fire back.
Eain knew their guns would not be enough to damage the Imperial Fleet, but he hoped they would be enough to buy them time to evacuate those upon the surface. At least that was until sensors alerted him to the arrival of another force. His hope almost crushed until the voice of some Graemon Gorgano belonging to the Corellian Coalition came across the comms. The Coalition ships quickly moving to engage the Imperial ships. He quickly opened a line back to this Gorgano character right away Corellian Coalition, this is Captain Eain Erso of the Galactic Alliance... I don't know who you are, but I'm sure glad you got our call... Civilian forces are located in camps outside of Froz City, transferring location data now... The comms officer sent a heavily encrypted data packet over to the flagship of the Coalition's 3rd Fleet, which would presumably be forwarded to the 1st Medical Escort Fleet

Surprised by the sudden resistance, jumping out of hyperspace, Captain Cassio's eyes widened for a brief second, as a major fleet of mixed vessels, some Corellian, some of Mon Calamari origin, just appeared in near distance, their heavy cruisers already engaging. Given the ammount of various starships, the imperial captain felt at first intimidated, knowing that this complicated things more than he would like to admit. Calling for a retreat was definitly an option for sure, yet one he didn't want to risk as it would mean failure. And failure was nothing, Cassio wanted to stand for. Thus he decided to engage the opponent fleet. "Abbandon the hunt, all focus on those MC90s!", he bellowed, as now most of his officers had recovered from the surprise moment, Arrowhead formation, all bombers on position. All left TIE squadrons have the permission to leave the hangars, this is not an exercise! I repeat: This is NOT an exercise! "Sir, should we request reinforcements from Imperial systems or at least warn about this fleet.", one of the bridge officers asked worriedly. "Do whatever you must, I want to see this treacherous scum blasted apart in the name of the Emperor!"
His face sweating, the captain aboard the Imperial-II star destroyer Regalia watched as the four Vindicator-cruisers fell behind his flagship and the fellow Imperial Star Destroyer in order to release a swarm cluster of TIE fighters and bombers, ready to approach the enemy ships once the Imperial Star Destroyers would be in range to fire a barrage upon the approaching fleet. It griefed the Imperial officer that he had to let go of the Alliance Remnants, but given the situation it was suicide to ignore a major fleet engagement that easily. No matter if there was a promotion or not, there was no point in it if he and his men would die that day due to an unanswered ambush.

Graemon watched as the Imperial formation began to change. They weren't backing down and, from the looks of things, they were shaping up to attack. An arrowhead appeared in due time as sensors picked up multiple signatures from both vessel and other spacecraft. Quietly, the Fondorian thinks, examining his own formation and the one commanded by Lynne and her crew.
Admiral Gates! Contact the Endless Salvation. Order the Dac's Revenge and two of her Bothan Frigates to join our formation. Have the remainder of her ships aid our wounded allies.
The fellow Fondorian nods and proceeds to contact the commander of the Medical Fleet.
Comms Officer! Relay the following orders: 'let the arrowhead come at us and be blunted against our anvils. Have smaller vessels flank around the anvils once contact is made! Hold the line and force them back!'
An acknowledgement was made by the officer as the orders were relayed. The MC90s, Pertinax and Vigilance, were not backing down from the sudden change in the Imperial formation. The cruisers held their ground, firing off turbolasers and proton torpedoes at the opposing fleet. Squadrons were launched in order with Aelph-class starfighters making a run for the bombers. The CF9s and X-83 made a bee-line for the opposing starfighters. For now, the bombers remained unseen and landed within their respective hangars. Graemon would have to watch the battlefield and react accordingly.

The message came through to the bridge of Endless Salvation and was relayed to Lynne and Daveed. Daveed nodded and keyed in a message to his other captains.
=Daveed= Dac's Revenge, Life, and Liberty, move up to support the primary Coalition forces. Equality, keep providing cover for the path back for our evac ships. Have our remaining fighter screen for enemy bombers or fighter making runs on our ships. Let's get it done, people!
And with that the Hammerhead- Class Cruiser, two Bothen Frigates, and 24 E-Wing starfighters moved into position on the starboard side of the comparatively massive MC90s. They would hold position until ordered forward to hit the side of the Imperial formation.

As the Imperial fleet turned their focus upon the new arrivals, Captain Erso let out a sigh of relief. The battered fleet would not have lasted long under the duress of such an onslaught. It meant that they would be able to have a moment of relief and safely load the ground based forces aboard. The pair of Bothan Cruisers moved up and turned to broadside the Imperial Fleet. Shifting their shield power to the flanks they exposed. Allowing 'The Last Stand' to aim its signal jamming capabilities toward the Imperials. No Imperial call for backup would escape the system if Captain Erso had anything to say about it

As the Imperial-II's slowly moved forward, several squadrons of TIE/fo and TIE/sf were launched from the hangars of both the capital ships and the accompanying Vindicator-class cruisers, covering the bomber run of four wings of TIE Demolishers. Cassio wasn't the most competent captain within the Imperial navy, but given the bulwark in front of him his plan was simple and as brutish that it could be considered nearly typical for the First Order navy: Throw in a lot of Starfighters to engage with the opponents' starfighters, while protecting the few bomber wings the First Order had to inflict as much damage possible upon the MC90s as possible. With two bomber wings focusing each on one MC90 cruiser, he had enough faith in crushing these MonCalamari assets, as they were his main obstacles within the pursuit. Would the two cruisers fall, they could easily deal enough damage upon the remnants of the fleet.
The thought process of the captain was interrupted by another officer on the bridge out of a sudden. "Sir, they're jamming our communications! Something is disrupting our com lines! How should we proceed?" Cassio's face went pale immidiately, as he knew that this operation would now turn into a nightmare. There were only few options he could do, as he couldn't tell which of these rebell vessels around their fleet were responsible for this mess. They could probably fight the interference, contacting maybe a few ships here and there, but the orders for the starfighter squadrons were already given. If he would change up orders and retreat it would mean death for these pilots and probably more dire consequences for him, as he abbandoned his own men vulnerable upon the open battlefield, but if the attack run failed and they remained longer here to cover their fighters, they might begin to lose valuable ships like the Vindicators. Therefore the answer was easy of Cassio, even though deep in his mind he secretly knew that it wasn't the best option. "Continiue the assault as planned, fire on those MC90s!" "But sir, with all respect towards your command, shouldn't we do something about the sabotage of our sensors?" The captain sighed, showing his concern as well. "We have no other option as I gave the order to attack", Cassio told his crewman then, "Thus we finish what we started. As I said: Continiue fire upon the MC90s." "Aye sir!"
And thus, Captain Cassio stood there, stoic on the bridge as the Imperial II's shields were hit by the opponent's laser fire, his gaze fixed upon the rival ships. It was either them or his ships, who would survive this day. Deep inside he hoped that he wouldn't bring shame upon the First Order and the Emperor.

The battle began, Graemon began listening to various reports being passed around. One officer comes up, showing a report of enemy bombers inbound. It seemed to be the new type of TIE that had been seen a few times. With this in mind, the Fondorian figured that fighters would be focused on protecting the bombers. He relays an order through his officers from the bridge to the squadron commanders of Aelph-class Starfighters.
Aelph Squadrons, redeploy and intercept the bombers. Recall four of our TwinTail squadrons and prepare to launch our bombers!
With the orders given, the starfighters began their re-alignment to counter the enemy bombers and escorts while the six squadrons of BB-2 Starfires were launched from their bays. Graemon hoped this redeployment would do some damage and maybe make the Imperials fall back. They were hardening their attack on the MC90s, from the reports given by their commanders. Damage reports were coming in as the Imperials continued their advance.
He hails four ships, a pair of Liberators and two Thranta-class Corvettes.
Pride of Fondor, Lawgiver, Gallantry, and Victorious, begin flanking maneuver pattern rho. Hit the Imperials from their flank!
The ships peeled from their formations and streaked to the right of the formation. However, as they made their approach, the ships suddenly dipped down to the under belly of the Imperial formation. The vessels turned on their sides and opened up with a broadside attack below the enemy formation.

The counter attack worked out surprisingly well, as Captain Cassio realized too late what was happening. He tried to warn the fellow ships, but given the complications regarding proper communication systems, it came too late. One of the accompanying Vindicator-class cruisers went down within the outbreaking fight among their flanks, not being able to keep up with the immense firepower of the cruisers below them.
The captain calculated the chances of the battle, none of the briefly thought up solutions within his head making it a worth engagement. Continiue the laser fire and destroy the MC90s? Possible yet it might end in the entire fleet's destruction. Attacking the flanking ships? An option, yet Cassio's own fleet was already suffering heavily by the current engagement. His thoughts were interrupted as a bombing run upon his own Star Destroyer hit parts of the mid section, actually damaging the ship immensely. Shaken, the captain saw as their own TIE's hunted after the squadron, the fight being so far even as both sides had casualties within the star fighter battle. Yet the Imperial officer knew that there was only one logical decision to make. "Turn the ship and set coordinates, more energy into the communication arrays and into the shields", he bellowed strictly, "Order for an retreat is granted to every starfighter pilot and ship. " The officer, who talked before with his captain looked up surprised, as the orders contradicted a previous decision. "Sir?" "I know what they told you at the Acedemy, that nothing can rival the might of an Imperial Stardestroyer, that we can crush any force which stands in our way with Imperial might. And we definitly can achieve this-" The captain's explanation for his motivation was interrupted by another explosion, this time at one of the turbolaser towers. Shield energy was critical, as the officers on board tried to compensate the sudden loss, while only the smelted ruin of a tower remained. "But not today, ensign!", Cassio more yelled than said, as sweat ran down his pale face, "Bring the Regalia on broadside, so that we can lead the way, remaining turrets firing upon the cruisers. If we can't communicate properly with all our ships and squadrons, let's do it by an obvious maneuver by the flagship." "Aye sir!"
As the Regalia most of the remaining ships followed its lead, including the Imperial-II behind it and the remaining three Vindicators. Although the space battle between TIE fighters and Corellian starfighters would still hold on for a longer time, most TIE pilots would abbandon the battle when hearing of the retreat order or when seeing that their main armada wasn't maintaining fire upon the two MC90s, causing a major portion of them getting shot down in the aftermath nontheless. Although the Imperial Star Destroyer fired shots upon the Liberators in hopes to find their attention as a main target, its main goal was to abbandon the assault for the moment. The Imperial Captain knew that it was a shameful display, but given the witness of the Corellians he saw no other chance. In due time the Imperial Navy would return to this system, stronger in force, more expierienced, more battle-hardened - that was his hope, as it motivated him even more to safe his men rather than to die pointless in a clash, he had provoked by underestimating his foes. Yet with the retreat in order he knew, that he and his fleet had now become the hunted. He hoped that the casualties wouldn't increase too much, now that even the Corellians would see the opportunity to chase after them.

It was now, as the Imperials began to turn to run, that Captain of the Line Daveed, gave his order. The Hammerhead- Class Cruiser, two Bothen Frigates, and 24 E-Wing starfighters moved from their holding position to cut off the Imperials line of escape. He even gave the orders to bring, both Endless Salvation and Shield of Salvation forward to add more pressure to the enemy. Endless Salvation would be focused on securing escape pods, or injured fighter pilots, regardless of faction, while Shield bore down on the enemy with the MC90s. He then opened a com line to the Coalition admiral.
=Daveed= Sir, how do you want to play this?

Graemon views the battlefield unfolding as the Imperial flotilla began to move away and make a good retreat. The Corellian was all too suspicious of the Imperials, considering their encounter in the Deep Core long ago. As the formation broke off, and gave rearguard salvos as they broke away, Graemon would hear Admiral Gates come up with a comlink in hand.
=Gates= Sir, Admiral Daveed on the line. He wants to know what should be done next.
Graemon takes the comlink.
Admiral Daveed, we will keep firing until they are out of range. Let them retreat. Our focus is the remnant they were chasing and getting their people off of Froz. Gorgano, out.
Graemon hands the comlink back to Admiral Gates as the Fondorian looks at the planet Froz.
Deploy additional units to the surface and contact Doctor Jameroo. Tell her that, if she needs the space, I will loan her any of my ships to help get the refugees, the wounded, and injured off of the planet and back to Corellian Space. Let's make this a speedy recovery and get out of this system in case the Imperials return.

=Daveed= Sir, yes sir.
The Captain of the Line issued his orders for the fleet to break off pursuit and begin to regroup with Endless Salvation. The Medical Frigate had already taken aboard many wounded and transports were needing redirected to the many other ships holding in orbit. Lynne was down in the ER section of the ship, helping to stabilize fighter pilots, or injured from the downed Vindicator. She and her doctors worked like clock work. They had been in many battles, and this one was fairly easy, especially after surviving Dac. While the Imperial wounded were given the same treatment and attention by the doctors as Coalition wounded, they were heavily guarded by the commandos stationed aboard Salvation. Lynne was unavailable to take the com call but one of her assistants acknowledged and began having the flight control personnel redirecting ships to other ships. Soon all would be aboard.

With the Imperial forces seemingly in retreat, 'The Last Stand' let up on the communications jamming. Soon the ships would be out of range and would either make the jump to hyperspace or manage to call for reinforcements. In either case, Captain Erso's attention returned to the situation down on the surface, as more and more transports came up into orbit. the wounded heading for the Medical fleet, while the civilians were split between the remnant fleet and the Coalition's 3rd Fleet. For the moment, he had hope that they would survive this engagement and find a new home

The last of the transports from the surface made their way up from the surface of Froz about a half hour or so later just like Colonel Leonis had estimated. The ships splitting between the remnant Fleet and the pair of Coalition Fleets that sat in orbit. Once the transports were secured aboard their capital ships, the three fleets moved away from the planet and made the jump to hyperspace to head back to Corellia. While the planet was being left alone today, Coalition forces would soon return to the system to secure it and protect it from further First Order incursions and attacks

With the Coalition's efforts of restoring Froz towards its former state as a planet, fleets were present within the orbit of Froz to protect it from further Imperial advances into Coalition territory. Due to the direct borders, it shared with the First Order, Senator Findos had tasked Scorpid-J and Scorpid-K squadron to support the system with the help of Scarab-A squadron. Accompanied by twelve RZ-2 A-Wing Interceptors the two T-85 X-wing squadrons identified themselves to the present C-Sec forces and the allied Coalition Navy before they would patrol the system for suspicious activities alongside its borders. Froz was a vital point among the Corellian systems, which connected the Five Worlds via hyperlane to allied systems like Rhommamool and Osarian. If the First Order would be able to capture the system, it would give the Coalition a major disadvantage as the Five Worlds would be set under siege by two sides.
Thus the Neimoidians knew that in order to retake their worlds from the Imperials, the defense of their allies' main systems was the utmost priority.

Following the flow of the Force, Xoia’s Tie Phantom emerged from hyperspace some distance away from the world of Froz. She might not have possessed the skill or power of those truly adept with the Force, but she was capable enough to let it guide her. And it’s was where the feeling led her. Once a world under the Corellian Coalition, there was no telling who held control now. But if she felt the presence here, that fleet that gave her’s such a beating would be around as well. That was why she arrived so far away. If they were patrolling, it still gave her distance and time, time that was used to quickly activate the cloaking device. As she approached, she kept her eyes on the sensors, eventually picking up signatures of the fleet, but nothing seemed to actively come for her, allowing her to breathe. She was in dangerous territory.
Closing her eyes, she let her senses dial in on the presence of the other pilot. It wasn’t but a moment or so before she determined it was planet-side. Probably some surface patrols or atmospheric maneuvers. Taking a deep breath, she pushed past the fleet into the atmosphere, nervous about how this encounter would play out.

At the edge of the Froz systemA DP-20 Corellian Gunship, complete with the latest CEC refit, dropped out of hyperspace and immediately targeted the inhabited primary planet of Froz with all onboard sensors. Moments later, two of the six Corellian Tracers onboard separated from their exterior mounts and took up escort positions, one on either side of the Gunship. Reducing speed to a fraction of the vessel's full sublight capacity, the Gunship raised her shields and began a slow approach to the planet, following standard protocol to be as non-threatening as possible while investigating a suspicious world.=Cmdr. Amirra=The Selonia commander of the Gunship tuned her comm to an open CDF channel, and jabbed the call button with a claw. This is CDF Commander Amirra to all CDF forces in the system, please acknowledge and report status, per orders of Admiral Korr. She did not see any signs of trouble yet, but Froz has missed enough check-ins to raise concern in Coronet, and at the very least, this would be a good training exercise for her crew as they gained familiarity with their upgraded ship.
