I believe we're waiting for Rave to reply to Sinistra as she was the last one to post in their dialogue.

Adelle blinked in the sunlight as she followed the elder Jedi down the ramp. Nightmares had plagued her on the way over so she wasn't thrilled about stepping out of the comfortable lighting of the ship's interior. Still, there was a job to be done. She took the proffered flask and smirked, though it looked more like a grimace. "Don't see why she would. We're nice people."
She took a swig then smiled mischievously. "Well, at least I am." She capped it and tossed the flask back. "Might wanna check with authorities first. Heard something about a local fire at the same time as the call when I did some digging."

Controlled chaos. That was the medbay at the moment. Quick-footed nurses rushed the injured to deft doctors. Alarms blared. The intercom gave alerts. The sudden attack brought normal operations to a screeching halt and sent the medbay into this buzzing hive of activity. Adelle threaded her way through the crowded hallways, shrugging off her outer shirt. She could help with healing the injured, but she would need a nap or food in between patients. With the current pace, that would be almost useless. She touched the hilt on her belt, stepping aside to avoid being run over by a gurney. The best help she could give would be to prevent these injuries in the first place. She palmed the first set of medbay doors open, the pad hesitating as it processed her bio-signature. With the base under attack, access to the Medbay was restricted. She palmed the main entrance open, touching the Force to find the calm in the middle of the storm. She stepped outside and paused, focusing on the Force to find the calm in the storm as the doors closed behind her. Now the only way she would get back into the medical wing was on a gurney. Adelle stalked into the base proper, seeking out where the need was greatest.

Well kriff. Adelle blinked as the hand switched up on her, changing her total to 32. This was not ideal. But it was only the second hand. There was still time for things to change. What fun would it be to fold now? She matched Non's bet even as Jade folded then stupidly took a gulp from the fizzy lightning drink. Kriff.

"My apologies, —" How did one address a recently discovered Empress? "— my lady. It seems Jade is already getting me kriffed up," Adelle said as she walked back over to the table.
Adelle's writer was at a worse disadvantage than Ael's was, considering the writer had never written Sabacc before. And with a starting hand consisting of The Evil One, a 5 of Coins, and a 3 of Staves, she wasn't quite sure she had a good hand. But, Adelle supposed, that was the beauty of the game: the hands could change at any given moment. She took another swig of the electrifying drink and shuddered with delight at the buzz. There wasn't much more she could do, given that her writer had no brain energy left to spare and that she had effectively incapacitated herself with this drink.

Fours applied light pressure to the shoulders of the injured Jedi Knight as she tried to sit up. A strong-willed toddler—or Knight Bastiel—would have been able to fight back but he suspected this one might be more reasonable to deal with.
"Please be still," he said gently. "You have sustained heavy damage to your audial system and suffering the effects of adrenaline overdose."
Knight Bastiel trudged up behind him, coming to heal the knight with a 99.9% probability. Fours firmly pushed her back. "2-1 BXS and I will continue all medical operations from this point on. You are no longer fit to heal."
The term surprise applied to organics but Fours had to adjust his metrics slightly as Knight Bastiel did not even try to fight back. She walked over to a chair and all but collapsed into it, looking unusually pale. Well, he will have to help her in a moment. Jedi Knight Na'an, as he heard Bastiel call her, needed his attention more at the immediate moment. Adelle could keep. She would fall into a deep sleep lasting several days within the hour, with 89.4% probability.
Adelle stirred at Na'an's voice, her brain working to comprehend the question. When she did, a jolt of alarm shot through her. It had been three years since the beginning of Na'an's therapy and she hadn't had a volatile reaction to Aherk but still: KR-04 was a different kind of rancor. And with Fours in close proximity, trying to heal her, Adelle didn't want Na'an to have a terrible reaction to the knowledge. But Dav had seen fit to hide the fact he tried to re-use the KR AI, going so far as to rename it to keep his secret. More secrets, Adelle thought, would be worse than a harsh truth all at once.
"She's in the Strat Center," Adelle said. "We found a KR unit there. I sent her to deal with it."

She'd made it through nearly three-quarters of the bottle—a new record for her—when she heard the sliding of glass across wood. A bright pink drink that fizzed and popped and had its own thundercloud had appeared. Adelle set the bottle on the counter and turned to look at Jade. For a second she looked as if the older Jedi's words hadn't registered. Then she turned her gaze back to the apparently mesmerizing wood grain of the bar counter.
"I thought for once I could be around normal people," she said finally. "My writer even promised it'd be drama free tonight."
No I didn't.
"But no. Apparently mental issues are more interesting to write about than innuendos and double entendres." Adelle held up her hand to stop Ael from bringing her hand closer. "Don't open yourself up to me if you don't want to. I can't return the favor. Someone tried to break my mind."
She looked Ael square in the eye. "They succeeded. Don't do something I can't reciprocate." Adelle picked up the glass of fizzing drink and held it up to the light, mildly curious how it maintained its electric effects. It didn't look all that potent; more like the drink underage females would buy to either seem classy, sophisticated, or to get drunk without realizing it. She took an exploratory swallow. The sensation that followed could only really be described as a lightning bolt fused with fairy dust striking her brain. Her mind instantly went into the fog of a buzz. Adelle about fell off her chair with the suddenness of it.
"The hells is in this?" she asked. "Honestly, I think Aya's just looking for an excuse. I dunno about... Tahu? That her name?"
She took another drink. The shock of the lightning bolt wasn't nearly as strong but she could feel the buzz begin to flow through her veins. "Might as well go back to the table for that game. This is gonna be my undoing."

Adelle halted her hand before Jade needed to touch it, a little confused and admittedly hurt. For someone to reject healing felt a lot like rejecting her. It had been everything she worked for, everything she had built her new identity around. Her hand returned to her side."Forgive me," she said. "You were in pain." She pushed her chair out from the table and stood. "I, for one, am not skilled or drunk enough for games of chance. But please, by all means, enjoy the game. I hear a bottle of Whyren's calling my name." Her voice maintained the lighthearted, playful attitude she'd had before so none but the most discerning would be able to tell there was an emotional clusterfuck and sudden identity crisis going on. (Way to go, Mer. ) She walked to the bar and, with credits she found in a suddenly appearing pocket in her dress, purchased a bottle of Whyren's Reserve. Hello, Whyren's, my old friend. She popped the cork and started chugging. I've come to talk with you again. There was nothing Whyren's couldn't fix; from nightmares to feelings to social faux pas, it covered it all.

And more fun, I suspect. The equivalent of a wink through the Force was sent Ael's way, even as she felt an echo of the bite of the older Jedi's pain in her own mouth.
The short answer to the older Jedi's wonderings was "Why the hell not?" Writing an uptight Jedi all the time was no fun and characters lacked depth without mistakes, regrets, and flaws. Despite being a healer, Adelle could not heal herself and used bandaid solutions for all her issues, justifying it with a facade of sacrifice and self-denial. She was, truly, a messed up individual and had given up on professional help (since there aren't really many writers that want to get into that kind of nitty gritty), using sedatives and stims for her nightmares, alcohol for her survivor's guilt, and flings for her intense loneliness.
"Escorting is part of our duties, yes," she said with a grin to match Non's, far more predatory than a Jedi's smile had a right to be. If he was trying to have fun at her expense, well.... he could try. "I am an investigator and liaison agent with CorSec as well, so I do a lot of probing and pursuit, which occasionally leads to grappling with interesting characters. I'm also a skilled healer, which requires a more . . . hands-on approach. Observe."
She leaned over, slow and easy so as not to startle Jade, and touched her fingers to Jade's cheek, almost a caress. Her eyes lost focus as she felt the pulse, the flow of blood, the nerves bright with pain. She stopped breathing longer than a normal human should and when she inhaled again, it was in synchronicity with Ael's breathing. Adelle guided the cells to clot together, the tissue to build and grow and heal faster than nature itself could allow. The wound healed with no scarring, although it might take a moment for the brain to actually register that its nerves were no longer signaling pain. Adelle removed her hand, shaking a bit at the exertion, as a touch of drowsiness lapped at her own senses. Dammit, she'd forgotten about that aspect of Force healing.
"Healing and investigations aside, I do take a perverse delight in the dance of bladework," she said, attempting to keep the fatigue from her voice. "There is a certain . . . euphoric sensation when I've immersed myself in the flow of the Force in the middle of combat. Be it with sabers or hand-to-hand."

At first glance it appeared that Adelle hadn't heard Aya's rejoinder. Her gaze was fixed on Ael as she lunged with a still-blade knife and ignited her lightsaber. If the watcher looked close, they could see her eyes unfocus and grow distant, almost as if she was zoning out. In reality, her senses remained fully aware and became amplified as she tapped into the Force.
Easy, my friend, she told Jade. He's an idiot but loyal. He needs lessons, not daggers. Infuriating though he is.
She offered Ael her Force presence to fall into, calm and understanding and deeply sympathetic for the darkness Ael faced. All mortals may die but some Jedi could see it staring them down before it took them. Non could boast all he wanted about living life to the full but until he could look at death months in advance and accept it gracefully, his words carried no weight. Sound and fury, signifying nothing.
Adelle came to and her smirk grew wider. "Ah, but I am... what was the word? Jetii? We are skilled with or without tools. I would be more than happy to demonstrate."

Adelle had the good graces to blush slightly from the implications of Aya's flirtation, but an impish, crooked grin spread across her face. Her brother might not be fun but the Empress herself was.
"Wouldn't you like to know? There's a reason I'm a good knight," she said with a wink. She drained her glass of tihaar, letting it burn all the way down her throat. Things were much more fun when she was much less sober.

"Yavin, actually." Well, she couldn't escape bias herself so she supposed she could forgive the Mando his. Jade had a point and it was pointy, however selfish she felt like being. Adelle picked up the glass of tihaar, noting the notes of fruity notiness. It wasn't often that she had tihaar. Whyren's Reserve was her usual top-shelf go-to. She sipped and savored its bite, the way the flavor serpentined around her mouth before striking her throat. "We all have our vices."
It was hard not to notice how very invested Jade was in her daughter, nor how interested Aya was in her sister. Having just been informed by Aya's writer that this was quite literally a royal family, Adelle almost felt like she was in a live audience watching a holonet soap opera. Idly she wondered if the writers would throw in incest, beheadings, and winter zombies. Could even call it the Throne of Games. Or was it the reverse? That could be a long-running hit on the holonet for decades. People loved a good drama, so long as they weren't involved.

Without bothering to look in the direction of the rather impressively thrown bottle, Aya snags it out of the air one handed. Popping the cork with her thumb, she takes a quick swig before glancing over to where her brother was waving to get her attention. With a strange little half turn, she was already sitting at the table he was setting glasses out on, whether her current conversation partner came along for the ride or not was up to Miss Bastiel. Adelle found herself transported with the hostess, suddenly surrounded by more Mandalorians than she felt comfortable with. Her writer, quite cross with real life events and circumstances, told her to grow a pair of beskar and get over it. It wasn't like Adelle was less badass. And while true—though Adelle doubted the badass part, these were still people that had fought a crusade against the Jedi roughly three years ago. Whether or not they could tell she was a Jedi was another thing; her lightsaber was not on her person. It still did not comfort her.
But she wasn't entirely alone. An older woman, human-looking if not human herself, gave off a definite Jedi vibe. And an ancient vibe.Adelle accepted a glass of tihaar and shot it back to avoid outing herself with indignation. Who the kriff did this Mando think he was? Needling a Jedi was one thing. Needling an ancient Jedi was another. They had time enough to master the Force, understand its nature, and shape it to their ends. He danced on thin ice."Pardon the interruption," she said quietly. "But it is my understanding that Jedi are people as well, strange though their religion is. Designations are, usually, a droid thing." Adelle held the glass with two hands, wishing she was out of her fancy clothing and in her more comfortable cargo pants and tank top. The dress she wore felt unusually restrictive and this whole gathering, despite its stated celebratory nature, just felt like a ticking thermal detonator.

So many things seemed to happen at once. Tampering, award announcements—not that those really mattered, speeches—and those mattered less, and great Whills of the Force, an X-wing went flying around the venue. And also great Whills of the Force. Adelle blinked. She was entirely too sober for all of these shenanigans. Brushing past the woman that kissed her, she asked the bartender to line up several shots of Corellian whiskey and drank them as fast as she could. In the span of a few seconds after the last drink, the burn traveled along her arms and legs from her stomach, warming her limbs and relaxing the muscles and nerves. In another few seconds, the heat reached her head and she felt herself calm down. After all, what was a joyride on an X-wing but harmless fun?
As if for the first time, she noticed Na'an and Leigh at the bar. Poor Na'an looked both out of sorts, angry, and lost at the same time. Leigh looked shiny. Adelle tapped a finger on her chin, staring off into non-literal space. She was fancy, Na'an was in a fancy dress, and this was likely the only time they'd ever be fancy together where nothing bad could ruin anything good. She stood and approached Na'an then held out her hand.
"Dance with me," she said, full of alcoholic confidence. Fortunately, she was sober enough to still be graceful.

Adelle blinked and stepped back from the strange woman as she winked and flounced away after the sudden kiss. If that's how the night was starting, this definitely was going to be a party. Then she saw Na'an and Leigh and felt a flush crawl up her neck and burn into her cheeks. She avoided eye contact and promptly made for the bar, ordering a glass of whiskey.

-Aya This? This is a nice fun party to cut loose at. What else did you expect?Aya's writer, Admy, nods her head, after all, mandos throw the best parties. It was like Vegas, but with more booze & less consequences. I didn't even know there was a party here. I have absolutely no idea how I got here or why. Adelle bit back those words; she had a feeling she knew who was responsible for her being here. It seemed like every opportunity to force her to be fancy had to be taken. Why, she didn't know."To be honest, I had no expectations. I'm a little surprised at finding myself invited to such a fancy gathering but I thank you nonetheless," she said. "Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to try and drink your bartender dry. You're more than welcome to join me. I wouldn't mind getting to know you better." Might as well flirt while she could, while there were no real consequences, right?

"This is a horrible idea." Adelle tried to follow the shifting shadow that fussed over her with her eyes, but it circled around her too fast and wouldn't stay kriffing still.
"Déjà vu," the shadow said. It seemed to run hands through nonexistent hair despite its feline shape. "Back to this again, I guess." Then, louder, "No, it's not a horrible idea. Quit complaining."
"I'm not complaining."
The shadow stilled in front of Adelle. The Jedi Knight couldn't explain why but she got the feeling the shadow raised an eyebrow at her assertion. Adelle stuck out her jaw and folded her arms over her chest.
"Now you're just being childish. It's just a fancy thing for fancy's sake. Play along and play nice."
"You can't make me."
Again that raised eyebrow feeling. The shadow touched one of her tanktop's straps and it unravelled. Despite of Adelle's cry of "The hells!", the shadow continued to unravel the straps. As it did, blue fabric cascaded down her chest like a waterfall flowing to the floor. A band of the same fabric reached up over her left shoulder as silver dewdrops grew from nothing to glitter like stars along the neckline. A split appeared in the flowing fabric along her left leg, stopping at her thigh. Her back shivered with the cold brush of a breeze and Adelle realized her hair had been wound up into a neat bun at the nape of her neck. Weight hanging from her ears told her that earrings had been magicked into place. The shadow stepped forward, a silhouette similar to Leigh, and used her thumbs to smooth out the skin beneath Adelle's eyes, the wrinkles on her forehead. It stepped back as if to admire its handiwork.
"Much better."
Adelle scowled. "How am I supposed to walk in a dress and cargo pants?"
"What pants?"
Swears in multiple languages escaped Adelle as she realized the shadow had indeed removed her pants, in addition to her lightsaber. The shadow twirled it in its fingers and then slid it into . . . thin air?
"Look. You're here to have a bright moment in your life for once and to cheer on your friends," it said, looking more human all the time.
"You mean your friends."
The shadow shrugged. "Same thing. Just try to have fun. Drink. Dance. Kiss a girl. Or don't. This is your chance for fun."
"And I wonder who spoils it for me in real life."
"Hey, I have a plan!"
"Sometimes I'm not sure."
The shadow pressed her finger against Adelle's chest and pushed. The Jedi Knight stumbled back, trying not to fall down in the evening gown, and backed into someone. She turned and almost blinded herself from the dazzling—pun intended—dress made of pure light. She threw up a hand to shield her eyes. Glancing back, the shadow was nowhere to be seen and she was suddenly in another grand hall.
"Sorry," she said. "Just trying to get a drink."

Something in her said this person could be trusted to be honorable—to an extent—and wasn't one of the agents of her transformation. Adelle relaxed a bit, wiping the sharp questioning look off her face. To be honest, a genuinely smiling Zabrak scared her more than having her name known by a stranger. This one felt ... mischievous.
"I see." The words the Zabrak said sounded strange. In character? Chat? Adelle brushed the words aside. She'd puzzle it out later. "So my enigmatic hostess, what is all this?" She gestured to the palace, encompassing the guests, the affair, everything.

Aya noticed the newest arrival & suddenly found herself beside her. It would seem most of her role in this would be simply greeting people, as her writer was much too busy with tending the new baby for more regular or longer posts.-Aya Good evening, Knight Bastiel. How are you today? Adelle fairly jumped out of her skin. She could have sworn she was walking by herself a moment ago. Her surprise quickly turned to paranoia at the use of her title and name."I'm fine, mostly," she said, brow furrowing. "Have we met?"
