Owen Jerross ran down the hallway, flinging his dress jacket up and over his head and pulling his arms through the sleeves. The Duro's boots skidded on the waxed floors as he took a sharp right towards the blast door. The door slid open with a whoosh of pressurized air and Owen sprinted to join the ranks of Academy instructors and staff that had lined up in their dress uniforms to greet the new arrivals. He pushed his way through his fellow PSF officers, earning several curses and grunts as he made his way towards motor-pool staff.
"Where have you been?" Asked his Rodian friend Batu Rem. Batu had been rotated to the Tralus Security Academy on the same term as Owen and the too had become fast friends, working together to hone their piloting and vehicle maintenance skills working as staff at the academy. That was the point of the rotation program that eager and adventurous PSF officers could sign up for. The program rotated them off their homeworld or home sector and mixed them with other officers from across the Galactic Alliance and stationed them together at security installations such as the Tralus Security Academy.
"I fell asleep working on the Gian speeder and I think I wasn't woken up on purpose." Replied Owen as he covered his large eyes with his hand, trying to make out the approaching ships. After a moment the Corellian Corvette and its following GR-45 Transports became visible and made their approach. Heavy tractor beams set up around the landing field caught the ships and lowered them gently to the surface. Owen, Batu and the rest of the officers snapped to attention as the troop transports disgorged their bright eyed young recruits, who marched away from their ship and to the academy, coming to a stop before a stage where the Academy's senior staff would welcome them.
Batu tapped his friend on the shoulder and pointed. "Look at that! Are those... Those are Galactic Alliance Guard!" He said with shock. There were murmurs all around them as their peers noticed the black armored elite security forces of the Galactic Alliance. They had a fearsome reputation and almost exclusively dealt with anti-sith and anti-terrorist actions, their presence was not reassuring.
"There's hundreds of 'em." Owen said as he watched the guardsmen either head to the academy or unload supplies. "This can't be good and who's that." He asked no one in particular."

Horkos trotted down the corvette's loading ramp, his retinue of advisors and staff hurried behind him. His nostrils enlarged as he took a deep breath of Tralus's fresh air. The Security Academy was located in the worlds temperate zone though the snow capped mountains in the horizon promised chillier temperatures as one went further north. It had been because of Tralus' diverse climate that the academy had been established here. It was a training ground for the more active of planetary security force officers, teaching outdoorsmanship, survival skills, weapons and both ground and air vehicles. This catered to developing a standardized training program that could ensure that PSF officer competency standards were upheld on the less populated or wilder worlds in the Galactic Alliance's jurisdiction.
While his official title was Sub-Director of planetary security, it was Horkos' responsibility to evaluate security standards on various GA worlds and within planet's security forces. He was a former Botha's spy, serving his clan and before retiring from that profession he had developed a well known reputation. He applied his infiltrator skills to the evaluation, hoping to patch holes in planetary security.
He noticed the stares from the academy's staff who had lined up to welcome the new recruits. He scanned the crowd and briefly met a Duro's eyes. No doubt the arrival of several hundred black armored galactic alliance guardsmen had raised eyebrows. They were officially here independent of Horkos' evlautation, to engage in environmental training programs, Horkos had simply shared a ahip and some conversations with them. However they were not under his command. The Galactic Alliancd Guard had their own chain of command.
Eventually Horkos made his way to the stage and introduced himself, taking some pleasure in the discomfort his presence caused in the senior staff, perhaps they did not appreciate his scrutiny or his reputation as a hard asa. However he was there to address the new recruits first and foremost and he congratulated them on their choice to serve and protect the people, the soul of the Galactic alliance. He ended his speech and retired to his assigned quarters at the academy. After getting situated he would begin his evaluation.

Horkos spent much of his first day on a tour of the academy grounds. The complex itself was large enough to house and feed thousands of PSF personnel and as such, it took some time to see it all. In the following days and weeks Horkos' teams would split off and evaluate specific buildings for security weaknesses. But for now they simply took it all in. Academy staff from each of the points of interest would provide a summary of the area's role and important features. The tour began with the landing strip upon which they had arrived. They conducted a cursory inspection of the tractor beam fixtures, the landing strip shield and the Anti-aircraft guns. All of the aforementioned equipment was far too exposed on the flat landing strip for Horkos' liking. The independent structures seemed ripe for sabotage. He made a mental note to personally review the anti-infantry counter measures and scanning systems used at the landing strip.
The tour continued stopping at such noteworthy locations as the communications tower that housed secret Galactic Alliance scramble codes, the academy's subterranean power reactor, one of the armories, the shooting range and a wing of officer barracks.
Tomorrow, Horkos has decided that he would slip away from his staff and observe the training standards of some of the classes.

The tour had been going smoothly, it seemed as if the standards of excellence demanded of the Tralus academy were being met. Horjos' staff had reviewed the trainee curriculum and attended the classes for several weeks in order to ascertain the academy's compliance with GA standards. It was now several weeks later that Horkos found himself sitting at dinner Colonel Marx Faber, a Duro and headmaster of the Tralus Academy.
"I believe we have done our part to make the Galactic Alliance Guard units feel welcome here, however they continue to put the cadets on edge and their presence has been rife with rumor." Said Colonel Faber as he sipped his Tarisian Ale. From across the table, Horkos shifted in his seat slightly.
"I can assure you that their presence here is only temporary. Only a few more weeks more to acclimate themselves to the terrain of the Correlian systems and have them catch-up on regional history and intel-reports." Replied Horkos neutrally.
Red eyes squinted with suspicion. "Corellian Systems? They are to be stationed here? Forgive me, but their reputation... Well... Their presence suggests the enemy and these are the Core Worlds."
The bantha steak was excellent. Horkos dabbed his lips with a cloth before continuing. "Colonel, I have been impressed with the Tralus academy's standards. These young officers are truly being prepared to handle adversity in the field and maintain their level of mental and physical condition."
"Thank you Director but that doesn't answer..."
Horkos cut off the Colonel's response. "Alliance intelligence is reporting a massive First Order surge towards the Core Worlds. It has probably already begun."
At the news the Duro sat stunned for a moment while Horkos continued speaking, "It is projected that they will overrun the old republic defense fleets... This means that the Corellian sector may become a front-line in the fight, hence the deployment of the Guard units. Corellia's safety is of the highest priority for the Galactic Alliance. I have had my staff prepare our report. Your installation will need to be fortified to match wartime specs and local officers will be required to undergo military-esque training. In the event of enemy invasion, the planetary security forces must be prepared to be absorbed by military command, and its officers be prepared to military support roles. The contingency plans are located in the dossier and should become a part of the curriculum. We will be leaving Guardsmen here for counter-intelligence and security duties."
It was certainly a lot for Colonel Faber to take in, however he quickly accepted the documents. "Thank you Director, and how much longer will you be staying with us? Will you oversee the requisition and implementation of security systems?"
"Members of my staff will remain behind. I unfortunately must conduct similar inspections and preparations on Talus, Selonia, Corellia, and Drall. The Corellian system is our most important holding in the Core Worlds."

Training continued at the Tralus Military Academy, preparing new cadets to serve in the Galactic Alliance Army. Meanwhile, fully trained recruits were being brought in from off world to bolster the ranks of the planetary defence force of Tralus. Vehicles and Planetary cannons of various make and model were shipped in, before being set up and assigned to their appropriate positions

After the fall of the Alliance and the rise of the Corellian Coalition, the Tralus Military Academy shifted gears to providing troops training to serve the Federation of the Double Worlds and the Coalition. No longer funneling Cadets through its system and then off world to serve the Alliance on distant worlds. Instead, those trained here remained within the Corellian System. Not only did Corellian System natives sign up here, but a growing number of Refugee's were also signing up thanks to the Refugee Relocation Project. Not only did it secure housing and jobs for civilians, but it had been expanded and amended to include protections and benefits to those wishing to join and train with the Coalition Military. Its success within the FedDub had also seen other worlds within the Coalition begin adopting similar programs, while others requested inclusion within the FedDub's Project.
This meant more cities having ground broken upon them across the Coalition, which meant more resources, jobs, and a stronger economy was being grown across the fledgling government's worlds. Where before they had been hemorrhaging resources to keep up with those they took in, now the Refugee's were being given purpose and contributing to the society they had joined

Klona City - Formerly known as Refugee Site Dorn, Klona City had grown from an empty field into a massive city rivaling that of Rellidir and Dearic. Its inhabitants consisted of refugee's that had been displaced by the fall of the Galactic Alliance. All working together now to build a new life within the Corellian Coalition. The government that had risen in the wake of the Alliance's humiliation and defeat. Its leaders vowing to fight for what is right and to never make the same mistakes as those that they sought to replace. Such things were noble goals. But even in the brightest lights, shadows still lurked...
Armour plates shifted almost silently against one another as hurried footsteps sought to keep up with his prey. The night kept him hidden within its shadow, keeping him hidden. But it also provided his quarry protection from sight as well. Something which may have been cause for concern if they were more skilled at their work. But the people he hunted were amateurs and they were in a rush. A fact which he used to his advantage.
A few moments passed in silence as street after street was passed by. The pair he was tracking headed straight for one of the lower income areas of the city. Many of the buildings here were still under construction, despite the great leaps and bounds that had been made in the Cities growth. An unfortunate side effect of just how much progress was being made and the need for resources constantly being shuffled about. Though it was clear that workers were beginning to return to finish what had been started.
Even so, this particular area remained fairly abandoned in the night. Coalition forces patrolled the city, but even they were unable to be everywhere all of the time. Something which his prey exploited as they followed behind a Twi'lek and Zeltron. The two women appeared to be making their way homes with the hope they would be safe together. His prey had very different ideas as they closed in on the women. Stun batons extended out to full length as they rushed forward to grab the pair. Their screams muffled as large hands closed over their mouths.
He had seen enough. Vaughan strode out of the shadows and into the halo of light cast by a street light. His cloak settled over his shoulders, as he cast his gaze toward the Trandoshan and Zabrak. Their gaze's clearly upon him, sizing him up. He gripped the hilt of something hidden by his cloak and in one swift motion, unsheathed the two-handed vibroblade. Vaughan gripped the hilt with both hands and shifted into a fighting stance I highly suggest you unhand the ladies, I would hate to get your blood all over them... The Trandoshan let out a roar, pressing the Twi'lek from his grasp into that of the Zabrak's. The reptilian creature lumbered forward, thinking it was about to put some rich boy into his place. Something which could not be further from the truth. The blade edge vibrated as Vaughan brought the sword backward. His grip tightening upon the leather wrapped handle. The Trandoshan picked up speed then as it broke out into a run. Vaughan muttered to himself just beneath his breath wait for it... wait for it... there! The Trandoshan had closed two thirds of the distance, when Vaughan rushed forward, his blade slinging out and forward. As soon as the pair crossed paths, he shifted his weight. His feet skidding across the ground as he came to a stop facing back toward the Trandoshan. Its body splitting in half at the waist before crumpling to the ground.
He turned back toward the Zabrak who had a look of fear plastered across its features Drop your weapons and let them go, unless you want to meet the same fate as your friend? Vaughan shifted into a guard stance, ready to take the Zabrak on. But only a few moments passed before his weapons dropped and the pair of women were able to move off to the side. Vaughan pulled out a pair of binders and tossed them toward the Zabrak, who clearly knew what was expected. Once he was restrained and knelt on the ground, Vaughan sheathed his sword and walked toward his captive. Pulling out a comm link as he did so Suspect is in custody, ready for pickup... His gaze shifted to the pair of women then, as they stayed huddled together and watched from afar. He clipped the comm link to his belt and offered them a friendly smile I apologize for the inconvenience ladies... I trust you are both unharmed? The Twi'lek woman energetically nodding her head Yes... yes! We are both safe, thanks to you... Lord Emrys! You are him, aren't you? He took a few steps closer and gave a bit of an exaggerated bow That I am... He reached into his cloak and pulled out a pair of his signature white roses, handing one each to the women Now hurry along, and get home. These streets are not safe at such a late hour... They both held the flowers close, giving him smiles and muttering in agreement before they were off on their way.
An airspeeder appeared above him then and landed in the middle of the street. Several people wearing Vaughan's private security guard armor hopped out and quickly moved to secure the Zabrak. The female captain approached Vaughan as he turned back to oversee his people load the Zabrak Captain Arikari, make sure he tells us everything he knows. I need to know where these slavers are, before I meet with Minister Jameroo. Arikari gave a salute and nod in response to the orders Yes Lord Emrys! We will learn everything that he knows! Vaughan lead the way over to the airspeeder and loaded into the passenger seat, while Captain Arikari joined her soldiers in the troop bay. The airspeeder took off into the air a few moments later, disappearing into the night sky

After the meeting with Doctor Jameroo, Vaughn had traveled back to Klona City to begin preparations for the upcoming operation. With his operation being off the books, there was nobody to leak information to the smuggling ring when monitoring drones were sent out to the suspected site. The video uplinks were streamed back to Vaughan's estate and backed up to a cloud storage that Lynne would be able to access with the device he had left her with. The drones watched the groups comings and goings, capturing images of people's faces that were exposed and noting down vehicle registrations.
Once the place was hit in a couple days, some of these people would manage to escape during the raid. But by knowing who they were, it would make tracking them down that much easier later on. Justice would be brought to them all. Especially considering the information they did know about who were missing. There was no doubt in Vaughan's mind that there were plenty more people that had gone missing but had never been reported.
With the surveillance operation underway, Captain Arikari went about preparing the 3 dozen Commando's in the employ of Vaughan. There weren't many of them, but Arikari was proud to serve alongside each and every one of them. They had proved their mettle in their past services and during their current employment. They were all veterans of one war or another and they all had their own demons they struggled with. But the work she put them through kept them focused and deal with what had happened. She just hoped that once this was all said and done, that they wouldn't get shut down. She didn't want to consider the relapses some of them would go into.
The next day and a bit would pass by without much issue. The drones recorded everything that went on, while Arikari saw to the training and final preparations of her soldiers. Vaughan, meanwhile, waited for the arrival of Doctor Jameroo and her people...
The Emrys Estate was located in one of the more luxurious parts of Klona city. It was a 2 acre lot of land with a large mansion like building sitting within the middle. The grounds had a couple landing pads set up alongside several greenhouse buildings where various fruits and vegetables were grown. The main house looked large and rustic on the outside, while the two floors above ground shared the same aesthetic. The below ground levels, meanwhile, looked more advanced and sterile. Featureless corridors and rooms filled the lower levels. Some were set up with laboratory equipment, others were set aside for training scenarios. A few of them were purely for storing equipment and vehicles for use

Lynne had arranged for her schedule to be cleared for this operation. Officially she was going to Tralus with her personal ship and crew to conduct "surprise inspections." This gave her a perfect excuses to not circulate an itinerary. After much protesting and subsequent soothing, Merrill agreed to stay behind, officially on leave. Unofficially Lynne wanted as few of her military friends getting court marshaled as possible for this soon to be vigilantism. And with all those proverbial ducks-in-a-row, Lynne and the crew of the Guardian Angel made the trip to Tralus.
In flight, Lynne often found herself shaking slightly as she sipped her caf. How dare someone abuse these refugees like this? How dare someone take slaves in a sanctuary city like this? But after a few deep breaths and sips of caf, she would calm herself down before thinking of doing anything too rash... other than going on this unsanctioned mission of vigilantism that is.
The Guardian Angel soon found itself landing at the Emrys Estate. She had also made the slight fib that she would be visiting him to try and garner some donations for the growing city projects. But as she disembarked, currently in very casual clothing, she waited to be greeted by Vaughn himself or a representative. Lynne was eager to get this awful business settled once and for all.

As soon as the Guardian Angel had began its descent over Klona City to his family estate, Vaughan had made his way out to the landing pad area set up in the back half of the estate. Placing high walls on three sides and the main manor on the fourth side. This would keep any prying eyes from seeing the Wayfarer-class that now resided in the space. There was no doubt in his mind that her ship would be recognized by anyone with even a modicum of power in the city. But it was a risk they would have to take in running this operation. After all, once everything was underway, few would dare interfere with such a well known official of the Corellian Coalition.
Vaughn was dressed in his usual attire as he approached across the lawn as Lynne disembarked her ship and waited at the base of the landing ramp. He came to a stop and offered a very brief bow of greeting. It did not take a Force Sensitive to pick up on the fact that Lynne found this whole situation as detestable as he did. Though he certainly felt less opposed to the act of vigilantism that they were about to embark upon. With Lynne participating in and helping oversee this operation, he knew he would be constrained. But such constraints were important, lest he go too far and commit crimes of his own Welcome to Klona City... I hope your trip here was not too disagreeable...

Lynne offered a polite nod at the greeting but followed with a deep sigh. I've made the trip many times, but few have I been so tense. She gave a wave over her shoulder to her crew to begin getting everything unloaded and prepped. I have two smaller ships aboard that will serve as emergency medical vessels and most of my crew are trained medics or doctors. She looked around the compound. I assume you and your people will be providing the muscle for this operation? So I will warn you this one time. If I feel that you or any of your... soldiers, are crossing the line, I will not hesitate to call my fiancee. The doctor hoped that the last statement had gotten across the fact that she would not hesitate to pull the plug on this whole operation and get the Coalition government VERY involved. Even if it meant a disgraceful end to her career and jail time.

He did deeply regret the amount of added stress he had caused Dr Jameroo over the past few days. But he remained stalwart in his decision to have approached her on this matter. There were few others in the Coalition Government that would have taken a meeting with him, let along taken such an active interest in his allegations. He gave a slight nod of his head. He had figured the support would be small, but what she lacked in numbers, he was quite confident they more than made up for in skill Indeed they shall be. I have around four dozen highly trained security personnel. They will get the job done. As for your fiancee... I assure you I will take full responsibility for this entire operation. After all, you have the datachip containing all my files relating to this. You can merely claim you acquired it as evidence when you arrived... Vaughan was not one for leaving loose ends. He researched, planned, and prepared for as many outcomes as was possible. Dr Jameroo was far too important to the Coalition to allow her career to end based on his own actions For now, come inside Doctor. There is yet several hours before night falls. I have had a half dozen guest quarters set aside for your and your crews use while you are staying here. The rest of the manor is available for you to make use of in anyway you see fit. I'll also have our Zabrak captive brought up so that your people can tend to him. Do you have any questions?

No... Um... I appreciate the hospitality. Lynne paused, she had been hard on the man, but he was at the core doing the right thing. It was just all the red tape of running an interplanetary government that stood in their way. I apologize for being short with you, She started as she followed him in towards the manor. I've never done anything like this before, off the books that is. And at the same time haven't had so much responsibility to the government I'm serving. Her shoulders sagged a little. Also it was a long trip. But, with your words or assurance I feel better about the whole enterprise.

Vaughan maintained his smile as he lead the way into the manor. Her apology was entirely unnecessary, but he did not interrupt her as she spoke. Instead waiting until she had finished before coming to a stop at the back entrance way. He pulled her gently to the side as her crew and his men moved in and out of the manor. He placed his gloved hand upon her shoulder and gave it a reassuring squeeze Don't be sorry Dr Jameroo. I didn't come to you because you seemed the kind to run these kinds of operations on a regular basis. I came to you because you're honest. There is definitely a lot of stress going around, but I know you, above all others, can handle it. You ride into war zones on a daily basis and provide medical aide to people... He paused for a moment, taking a breath and letting the silence hang there for a moment In truth, I envy your conviction and courage. Above all else, you want to do the right thing. And I know that if I go to far, you will pull me back. Others would not... You can make use of my own quarters. While you may be the doctor, in this situation I do insist you take some time to get some rest... He took his hand from her shoulder then and continued guiding Lynne inside the manor and up to the second floor where his personal quarters were located. A pair of fairly unremarkable double doors featuring the coat of arms of the Emrys family opened to the chamber containing a four post king sized bed. The left wall contained a door into a walk in wardrobe, while the right wall contained a door into a personal refresher room. Vaughan pulled out a key then and handed it to Lynne The room is yours while you stay here. When you've rested up, a command centre has been setup in the ballroom on the first floor...

Lynne by this point was beginning to feel the weight of her exhaustion and responsibility. A weak smile and nod of thanks was given as she accepted the key and entered the room. She turned back and before closing the door made a request of Vaughan. Please don't let me sleep for too long, we have a lot of work to get done. She'd wait for his reply before closing the doors and setting about to freshen up in the refresher. But despite the stress she was under, as soon as her head hit the pillow, she was out.

Vaughan offered a polite smile and nod of his head at Lynne's request I wouldn't dream of it Doctor... With Lynne tended to and resting for the time being, Vaughan turned his attention to helping the last of the medical personnel get settled in the mansion. His work there consisted mainly of guiding Lynne's forces to the rooms that had already been cleared out. Beyond that, he liaised between the Medical Team and his own forces, getting several additional rooms cleared out for use. Once a secure room had been set up with some medical supplies, Captain Arikari and four of her best commando's brought the Zabrak prisoner up from the lower levels.
His health, for the most part, seemed to be in good condition. There were a number of injuries that had been sustained during his initial capture and subsequent interrogation. Mostly some cuts and some bruised or broken ribs. Nothing fatal or life threatening, but certainly painful.
The entire estate was a hive of activity for the next couple hours as several rooms became emergency operating rooms, holding rooms, recovery area's, and a miscellaneous assortment of other roles. Meanwhile, beneath the surface, holding cells were prepared for the captives they hoped to take, with medical treatment areas also setup nearby. Data slicing teams were also performing a number of final checks to make sure they were prepared to sort through any data the attack team could get their hands on.
Roughly two hours before they were set to begin their operation, Vaughan arrived back to the room within which he had left Lynne and knocked loudly upon the door Dr Jameroo, this is your wake up call...

CDF Fort Navos
After accepting the offer her CO made for her to join a small special forces unit being assembled at the behest of Diktat Gaultieri, CDF Specialist Garine Yesayan, a dark haired 25 year old native of Tralus of Lorrdian descent, had gone to pack up her gear and get ready to depart for Selonia where she will be meeting with the other members of the unit and training with them for two weeks as a team-building exercise some pencil pusher decided would be a keen idea.
A skilled slicer that is as handy with her T-21 light repeating blaster as she is with her data breakers and dataspikes, Garine had jumped at the chance to join a unit that, if all goes according to plan, will eventually be placed under the command of the New Rebel Alliance; having yet to see any action since enlisting in the CDF, at first as a way to get her university education paid for and then to continue the life of a soldier when she found it appealed to her, Garine is still naive enough to be itching to put her skills to use against the First Order or any other tyrants the NRA might go up against, her idealism and ingrained hatred for intolerance and oppression perhaps making her overlook the price that those that choose to stand against them often pay in one form or another.
