The aged Victory II-Class Star Destroyer, Necrosis, exited hyperspace well out of the way of the gravitational well of Lehon. Sith Lord Akrak stood on the bridge of the ship, peering out the central viewport through the eye slots in his helmet. The armored Sith had discovered a powerful artifact on Ziost's surface. A holocron. One belonging to an acolyte that had served under Darth Malak during the days of the Old Republic. The acolyte spoke in depth of a powerful dark side nexus somewhere around the planet Lehon. And Akrak intended to find it. Commander Maxwell spoke up.
"Sir. Astrogation charts indicate several gravitational anomalies. We should proceed with caution."
Despite his drive for more power, he didn't want to needlessly endanger his ship. He nodded to the Commander.
"Agreed. Once we are as close as we can get to Lehon, begin scanning on all frequencies. Inform me the moment we find anything out of the ordinary."
Maxwell nodded in agreement.
"Understood sir. I will report back once we have something.
As the Commander walked away, leaving Akrak to his own thoughts, the Necrosis continued towards Lehon, though as a much slower pace that before.

Scorsby's Telgorn Dropship emerged from hyperspace and the cockpit was immediately assailed by the blaring of warning sensors. The small ship's long range sensors had immediately picked up the mass and sublight dirve trail of the Vic II SD. Scorsby jumped into action, weathered hands flew across the console, flicking off the warning system. He grabbed the yoke and immediately pulled the ship up and leftwards. As this was occurring, Alaric saw the small star destroyer on the long range scope and immediately felt a pang of frustration. Who were they? Small Star Destroyers weren't necessarily the sole dominion of the so called "Imperial powers" there were plenty of smaller navies that could field those vessels. Dark thoughts clouded his thoughts as the feeling of betrayal set in. He had come so far, just to be beaten and outgunned.
"Al, pay attention, we need to shut down whatever we can and cruise out of their sensor range." Barked Scorsby. He had turned the ship and was guiding it with short sublight bursts outside of the range of the Star Destroyer's sensors. Understanding that if they were discovered they would have to jump system, Alaric threw some switches on the console and jumped out of the chair to run to the ship's power-bank. If they were forced to retreat now they might lose any chance of exploring the world. Boots clanked down the hall, finally coming to a stop near the main hold. The ship's lights shut off, the hum of the engines silenced, and the ship began to drift in low power. Alaric had kept on the bare minimum life support systems to see them through, their best bet was to be so insignificant that they would not attract attention.
Alaric returned to the cockpit and plopped into the copilot's chair. Alaric lit a cigarillo and passed it to Scorsby. With the air circulators on low power the cockpit filled with flavorful smoke and chuckles from the two men. The stars turned slowly as the ship drifted away from the Star Destroyer. After a good while, the smoke had dissipated and Scorsby felt safe enough to return to activity. "Well I reckon whoever these boys are, they're focused on the planet. I would say we're in the clear."
They brought the ship's power back up and the engine's flared with thrust, propelling them towards the planet. The Star Destroyer had altered their flight plan and they had to skirt the edge of the ship's sensors in order to put down on the planet without their notice.

Drawing ever closer to the planet, the Necrosis finally reached a Lagrange point that it could hold above the planet without falling victim to any sort of anomalies or disruptions. Commander Maxwell returned to Akrak's side. Clearing his throat, he spoke.
"My Lord, we've found a position above the planet that is safe for the time being. All systems check out and our long range scopes are clean. Orders?"
Akrak shifted, crossing his arms.
"Begin landing our forces. Whatever drew me here has to be on the surface. And I doubt it'll be unprotected. Once we've secured a foothold, inform me. I will retire to my chambers to meditate. The bridge is yours, Commander."
Akrak lowered his arms and spun on his heel, marching off the bridge. Commander Maxwell saluted him as he went.
"Understood, milord. I shall begin at once."
As Akrak retired to his personal quarters, Maxwell began issuing the proper orders to begin landing a small contingent of soldiers to the surface of the planet. Within the hour, they would have a secured Landing Zone.

==Lehon expedition SL== <106 PP; G11 Sector, Lehon>
The Infinite Imperium sensor net extended much further into space around the system that was normal for a planet. It was the capital of the Imperium after all & the heart of a massive web of defenses. The sensor net picked up both the smaller ship & the larger Star Destroyer as soon as they broke hyperspace by the tell-tale burst of hyperspace radiation. As neither ship was expected, a dispatch was sent to intercept each. However, as Lehon was seeing more traffic of late, they were not yet on a hostile footing. Mostly likely it was another pair of Mandalorians coming to see what was happening.
==Dropship intercept== For some reason, the smaller ship cut their emissions & attempted to go into stealth. This was highly unusually & the Kyramud-type battleship that had been sent out to investigate lost them for a few moments, but coordinated work with the system's sensor net quickly relocated the hiding ship. Powering up their shields & weapons, the KYR-392 Golden Dagger executed a in-system microjump. They exited hyperspace less than two kilometers from the skulking shuttle & immediately painted the craft with high power scanner systems, making it obvious that they had been spotted.
-Golden Dagger Comm Officer Unidentified craft, you are intruding on sovereign Infinite Imperium territory. Stand down your reactors immediately.
==Star Destroyer intercept== The star destroyer was making no attempt to hide itself. Of course, with a ship that big most people wouldn't. The dispatch sent to it was one of the equally large Kandosii-type dreadnaught. While KAN-844 Dawn of Blood, had its shields powered, it did not have its weapon systems ready to fire. There was no point in being overly hostile & it would be simple enough to bring them up if the ship proved hostile.
-Dawn of Blood Comm Officer Unidentified Star Destroyer. Be aware you are entering Infinite Imperium territory. Please state your name & business in the system.

Alaric and Scorsby were enjoying their lingering high when the warship blinked into existence right in front of their forward viewports. They saw it emerge from hyperspace just as the proximity alarm sounded. The warship had micro jumped almost on top of them and their viewport was filled with the grey durasteel of the ship’s hull.
*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* A flashing light on the comm-station accompanied the alarm. The men looked at one another, fear and concern crossing their faces. “Who’s hailing us? I thought the skies were clear?” Alaric said, glancing at the sensor scope again. “Only one way to find out” said Scorsby as he hesitantly connected to the comm channel. The message came through, Alaric’s lip curled into a snarl. “The gravitational fluctuations must be hiding their signatures or our scanners haven’t been calibrated to take them into account. I can’t believe I overlooked a faction here.” Scorsby chuckled nervously, “I reckon we jumped the gun on this one partner. I Haven’t been out this far before, I don’t know anything about an Infinite Imperium”
Alaric gave a low growl. They’d have to respond shortly, he didn’t want to test their patience. Scorsby interrupted the train of thought, “I don’t know what you’re thinking but we’re at low power and I doubt we could power up and make the hyperspace calculations before they’re all over us.
Grabbing a headset, Alaric responded tersely, “I read you. I’m powering down the ship.” Using the singular might convince them that the small ship only carried a single occupant. “I didn’t expect to find anyone in the Unknown regions, these used to a place to lose oneself.” It had been shocking to find the Vic II SD floating in the system, it was mind numbing to Alaric that some Imperium had a permanent presence in the system. Was nothing sacred? Were there no secret spaces left in the galaxy?

==KYR-392 Golden Dagger== With the troop ship powering down, the tension in the Dagger dropped considerably. True, it could still be a hostile group, but more likely they had wandered in at random or had been blinded by the local disturbances.
-Dagger Comms Officer Stand by for boarding.
The shuttle would be pulled along one of the blow away boarding tubes. If anything happened in the shuttle that threatened the Dagger, it would be quickly blasted free from the ship with minimal damage to the battleship. Inside the airlock for the tube, a dozen drones stood by ready to board the unknown craft. They would be remotely controlled by troopers still safe within the larger craft.

Alaric and Scorsby awaited the boarding party in the ship's small common lounge. They were seated casually in the hold, both behind the Dejarik table, their hands resting on top of it. This had not been the first time they had been boarded and they had their roles down-pat. They posed as researchers for the Obroan Institute of Archeology and through friends in the Alliance had the accompanying paperwork and fake histories. A more serious identity check would begin to reveal inconsistencies, however the fake i.d.s had served them well in the pass. Alaric was from their Coruscant Branch, his background was in ancient civilizations. Scorsby, the more weathered and 'fringe' of the two was allegedly part of their exploration fleet. Their documents claimed that they were following evidence that the ancient Rakatan species had caused Tatooine's native Tusken Raiders so eschew technology and cast any advancement as cultural taboo. They were searching for corroborative evidence from Rakatan sites.

==Lehon expedition SL== <106 PP; G11 Sector, Lehon>
==KYR-392 Golden Dagger== As the airlock cycled, the first group of droids entered the small troop transport. All of them were the smaller M1 drones that looked more or less like someone had bolted legs onto a short rifle. In this particular case, the weapon in question was a stun weapon. The drones quickly dispersed through the ship, as each passenger was located, a single drone would stand a ways away & maintain a steady aim at the person. It was obvious from their design that these were not something to try talking to.
Behind the first group of drones, the airlocks cycled again, making sure to prevent cross contamination from the smaller ship in case it was a targeted biological attack. The cycling didn't take long, but it still had to vent the Atmo & hard bake the chamber in radiation before allowing the next group of drones in. The second group of was smaller. It was made up of only three more of the M1s. However, for two of the M1s the weapon part of their design had been swapped out for a large sensor cluster. The third M1 had what looked like a small holoprojector mounted on the front. As soon as they were aboard, the sensor loaded M1s began scanning the ship for anything that would be deemed hazardous to the planet. They didn't care about personal weapon or small grade explosives. They were more focused in locating any possible Weapons of Mass Destruction or Bioweapons.
While the scanning was taking place, the faces of the crew & passengers were being run through the Imperium's database. The Imperium had extensive database, including files on anyone that had ever interacted with the Imperium or its previous incarnations. However, it was far from complete & none of the passengers had crossed the path of the Imperium. The hologram M1 floated over the the group sitting at the Dejarik table. A moment later a surprisingly realistic, if quarter life sized, hologram appeared.
-Officer What are your names & intentions in this system?
As Imperium tech was designed not to interface with standard galactic tech, they would not be able to view the document coding directly. However, the information could be copied if projected visibly. Once the documents had been scanned by the drones, the Officer seemed to warm up a fair amount.
-Officer So you are historians. The Imperium actually has some Citizens that lived in the period you are researching. I'm not sure if any happen to be in system at the moment, but I could do a search.

Alaric and Scorsby exchanged glances at the the parade of hovering droids that had entered their ship. The two men quickly placed their flimsiplast documents and datasticks on the dejarik table for the droids to pour over. After seemingly satisfying the requirements, the droid's projected a hologram of an officer from the mandalorian ship. Smiling amiably, Alaric replied. "That would be most thrilling. There have been others from our institution that have had the opportunity to converse with long-lived species and they have proven to be illuminating if not cynical experiences. There is a pattern of aloofness and flippancy in the attitudes of long-lived species, no doubt due to their perception of time." Alaric paused for a moment and considered his own words. There were truth in his words, a truth that he had not imediately understood as he spoke them. In his years of service to the jedi, he had never spoken to sentients that had lived through eras. It would be a unique perspective and view of galactic events that were beyond his experiences. "Yes, If it were convenient, I would like to speak to one who lived during the time of galactic Rakata."

==KYR-392 Golden Dagger== The scans of the small craft didn't take long. While there were a number of weapons & other devices on the ship, there wasn't anything that was a major threat. At least beyond the reactors on the ship itself. The sensor drones & the extra weapon drones were the first to withdraw, going through the same radiation bath to kill off anything foreign. Their own systems were hardy enough to resist the effects.
-Officer Very well, I will put in a request to see if any are available & willing to talk with you. Now, for reaching the planet, we can either have you fly in beside us, or we can anchor you to our hull & just jump in.

"We'll jump in with you, it'll save us time and we can start preparing for our expedition." Alaric replied. When the probe droids had exited through the airlock, Scorsby returned to the cockpit. Though he didn't have anything to do, being there gave him some small illusion of control. True to his word, Alaric removed their travel packs from a storage container and quickly took inventory, making sure they had enough provisions for a lengthy trek through jungle.

There was a muted thunk as the bracing clamps extended from the larger ship & locked the shuttle in place. The rotation of the ship & the calculations for the jump took a while longer. In that time the rest of the drones left the shuttle, with the exception of the hologram drone, which seemed to be on standby. There was a brief hypermotion shudder & suddenly they were in orbit over the planet. Back in the passenger space, the drone flickered back to life.
-Officer Ok, it turns out there is one on the planet at the moment. We have an escort in route to lead you down.
With that, the drone withdrew & left the shuttle. A few moments later & the shuttle was gently nudged out from the large ship & detached smoothly. Within a few moment one of the fighters from the defensive drone fleets had joined the two ships. It would lead the way down to one of the smaller island chains in the far south of the planet & then circle until the shuttle landed. At which point it would return to the holding position in orbit.

Be aware you are entering Infinite Imperium territory. Please state your name & business in the system. Standing on the bridge of the Necrosis, Akrak snarled in frustration. Having returned to the bridge from his meditations when the alert came through, he was now very frustrated at the fact that he had run into this Imperium once more. Though he harbored no ill will towards them at this point, they did seem to get in his way every time he went searching for something...His progress was being impeded, yet again, by the Imperium. Wasn't it enough that he had trained a few of their Force-Sensitives? He sought powerful relics of the Force. Preferrably anything imbued with the dark side. And the artifact he had recovered on Ziost had sent him in this direction. Naturally, the Imperium was already here.Opening a comm with the Imperium vessel, he spoke. His voice mechanical and harsh. This is Darth Akrak of the Star Destroyer Necrosis. I have arrived here in search of ancient artifacts. I have previously encountered the Imperium on Ziost. From my understanding, there is an accord between myself and the Imperium. Before he continued speaking a little more negatively, he cut the mic and waited for a response. There really was no need to piss them off if he didn't have to.

There was a sensor pulse as the Dawn of Blood took a detailed look at the other ship. Sure enough, the database returned a hit on a craft that had set down on Ziost for a while for resupply. According to the records, the ship had parted on friendly terms. To be fair though, it had not been transmitting its IFF signal on entering the system.
-Comm Officer My apologizes, my lord. We were not expecting you this far from your last port of call. I'm sorry to inform you, however, that this system is the capital of the Imperium. As such your movement will have to be restricted. Small shuttles & transports will be allowed to the surface, but only after scanning for contraband. We can provide a list of contraband items to avoid any potential misunderstandings.

On the bridge of the Necrosis, Akrak sighed.
Of course his groundside operations would be hindered. No one had any sense of adventure anymore...regardless of this setback, he would continue onwards. Though without the support of the ship's arsenal.
Akrak replied to the comms officer from the Imperium ship.
"...very well. I will belay my previous orders and reorganize a landing party..."
Akrak trailed off and turned to his XO, Commander Maxwell.
"Organize a squad of soldiers for our ground side excursion..."
Akrak paused briefly, sensing something within the Force. Someone was also interested in something on Lehon's surface. Though he couldn't be sure as to who, or what it was at this point in time. As Maxwell carried out his orders, Akrak left the bridge, heading to the hangar bay as the Necrosis moved closer to Lehon.

The officer forwarded the contraband list. Surprisingly it was fairly lax. The only limitations were biological agents & anything that would cause anything with more than a one megaton blast. With that handled, the Dawn of Blood forwarded a flight path that would see the Necrosis into a safe, high orbit above the planet. While there wouldn't be any more need of interaction, the warship would be shadowing the Star Destroyer until it left the system. It would also be scanning each craft that left the Star Destroyer for the planet's surface. While the shuttles would not need to be boarded, they would have to come alongside the Dawn for ten to fifteen minutes for the high powered scanners checked them carefully for contraband.

Once the Necrosis was finally holding position in high orbit above the planet, Akrak and his contingent of Storm Commandos and several scientists, were waiting in the shuttles, ready to launch. Upon recieving the green light, four of the ship's five Lambda-Class shuttles were launched. Each shuttle, as directed, came alongside the Dawn, waiting to be scanned. As each shuttle passed through the scans, they accelerated towards the surface of the planet. In particular, a string of islands that were currently housing a Jedi Knight and his companion. Though Akrak was unaware of this, he knew that something was different at this location. Something was drawing him in....

The 'Tusk' dropped out of hyperspace, and angled toward Lehon. Aboard the small ship, its sole occupant closed the long range scanner and activated the comm channel, broadcasting in a wide band (it had been a long time...)
This is the 'Tusk', six days out from the Eastern Rim, seeking landing coordinates.
He awaited the reply, silently wondering why he was here, and knowing the answer in the same breath...

==Lehon Orbital Control== <106 PP; G11 Sector, Lehon>
The automated systems of the Orbital control fielded the call. The ship registration was run through the Imperium database of ships. At the same time, a sensor array was swung around for a sweep of the ship. While the ship's IFF matched one copied from the Clan Or'dinii records, the sensor sweep showed a completely different ship design. Such a thing wasn't unknown however in mando nations, so it wasn't much of a surprise. It wasn't much larger than a light freighter, so it was listed as a minor possible threat.
-Lehon Orbital Control Welcome Back to Lehon, Tusk. Please remain on current heading. A ship is inbound for a detailed scan.
The space around the star of Rakata Prime is a twisted mess of both real space & hyperspace anomalies. It makes the system nearly impossible to invade, but it also make its a pain to plot microjumps. However, the Imperium kept very careful maps of the anomalies & how they shifted. Within half a minute, one of the Imperium Crusader-class corvettes flickered into existence within three kilometers of the Tusk. It more or less immediately began doing sensor sweeps of the small craft. While its shields were powered, the weapon systems were still completely cold. There was little enough reason to power them up for such a low risk.
The scans would take a nearly fifteen minutes. When nothing really restricted appeared, the ship was given a clearance lane for the planet, including a hyperspace window that would grant a quick approach if desired. the database record for the ship would be updated once the ship was on the ground & it was certain that it was being piloted by the person it claimed it was.

Ram balanced his close range scans with visuals, and noted the Crusader-Class emerging from hyperspace. Simple. Efficient. Effective. He made no move, kept his heading and relative speed. No sense in making this any harder than was necessary. Upon receipt of the necessary information (course, landing coordinates, approach vectors) he continued on approach and entered low orbit, angling for planetside. He did not make use to the micro-jump coordinates. Truth be told, he wasn't in that big a hurry...
