"Hey, you there, Mandos"He hoped they were indeed Mandalorians, but who else could crew that ship these days. "Here the Loth-wolf, we wonder what your intentions are in forwarding us a message. Been blown to bits isn't a hobby of us"And he cuts the communications, sending the message to the newcomers.
Aloriya bit back a bark of laughter, but her brilliant smile stretched across her face. It was true that the unexpected arrival of a Mandalorian Battleship would induce such a response from most species in the Galaxy, but she wasn't sure she would ever get used to that being the reaction even when she Wasn't intending to blast them out of orbit. Aloriya decided to make the next comm message herself."Action VI transport Loth-Wolf. This is Alor'aan Aloriya Marev of the Keldabe-Class Battleship Muun'bajir. We do not at this time have any intention of initiating hostilities while in this system. We are here to fill our hold with cargo. Since we are looking to take back as much cargo as possible, we are interested in hiring your ship. That is, if your services are available for hire. The destination would be Mandalore, should you choose to accept. If not, then do as you please without fear of retribution on our part. Unless you directly attack one of our ships or personnel. If you do that there will be retribution. Swift, retribution."

"Oh well, they aren't going to blow us apart unless we try to bite their beskar-clad asses"
"Such a relief"
Said Wan Tyco, ironically.
"Are we going to work for them, yesss?"
"Well, credits are credits. Lemme ask the crew"
Xerxes leans forward and clicks the inner comm.
"Guys, here we have a good old Mando ship, they want to hire us. We'll have to visit that planet of theirs"
"They pay well?"
The Nautolan's voice sounded slightly excited. Always up for earning some fast credits.
"They have a battlecruiser, I guess they will"
"Fine for me. Ballsy is crying somewhere in the cargo bay, I don't believe he wants to. And KG was killing a mynock pest, so, I guess... yeah, we're on the same boat"
"Thanks, Rannia"
He turns off the speaker. Wan Tyco turns to face the Falleen.
"You guess? They better do... Maybe we should skip the job and jump to hyperspace: better lose an arm than all four, as my momma used to say"
"Oh, ssssssshut up, you ssssssad furry beassst"
"Hey, hey, guys, just lemme ask them"
Xerxes cleans his throat with a cough and forwards another message to the battlecruiser.
"Hello there, Marev, was it?"
Mando names... what a chore.
"We could do it, yes. BUT, we expect prompt payment, Mando. We don't care about what the cargo or the destination are, as long as payment is good enough... You know? Fuel and parts are expensive these days, Imperials dragging their boring asses all over the trade routes"
The Trandoshan chuckled, the Ardennian rolls his eyes.

Fuel and parts are expensive these days, Imperials dragging their boring asses all over the trade routes" Aloriya nodded to herself in satisfaction. Service for sufficient payment, as it should be. Things were looking good. Hiring this ship would probably allow them to double their shipment back to Mandalore. "Of course, Loth-Wolf. We can pay 100 Mandalorian Skulls now, and another 500 upon delivery of the cargo to Mandalore. That should cover the costs of fuel, parts, and maintenance for your ship for some time, as well as provide a pretty paycheck for your crew. Does that sound sufficient?"Aloriya keyed off the comm and waited for the Loth-Wolf to respond. Meanwhile, Alor'ad Atin had begun to order the Freighter crews into their ships. He would soon be dispatching them to the surface to begin collecting the Wroshyr tree sapplings. BL-93 had already sent the BL which had been stationed on the bridge into the Komyrk to get strapped in with the rest of the Battle Legionnaire Droids. Aloriya nodded to Alor'ad Atin indicating that the rest of her team should be sent into the Komyrk as well. It shouldn't be too long now before they all headed down to begin collecting in earnest.

Xerxes looks at Zarsk.
"What are Mandalorian skulls?"
"Their currency?"
"It's worth anything?"
"I don't know how the exchange ratessss are currently, Xerxessss"
Said the reptilian alien, rolling his slit-eyes.
"Hey, no need for irony, asshole"
Xerxes said so smiling, amused, he winks at Zarsk. Wan Tyco murmurs behind his teeth.
"We're gonna die and it's gonna be for some shitty coin no-one knows about"
"Wait, wait folks, lemme ask the bucket-heads again"
He clears his throat again.
"Hey, Loth-wolf here, we wonder if that coin of yours can be exchanged for actual credits or if it's only worth in Mandalor. No offense intended, we're willing to make a job for you, but with the current state of the galaxy, you know... And also, what's the job exactly? You shared no details"
He cuts the comm again.
"The deflectors still up, yes? One never knows, these guys can be quick to anger"
"I even introduced some hyperspace coordinates. Better safe than sorry, like my..."
"Yessss, like your momma ussssed to ssssay"

No offense intended, we're willing to make a job for you, but with the current state of the galaxy, you know... And also, what's the job exactly? You shared no details" Given the other's apparten unfamiliarity with Mandalorian Currency, she was lucky they had at least decided it was Mandalorian Currency and not literal skulls. Aloriya stifled a laugh before keying the comm to respond to the Loth-Wolf."Loth-Wolf, Mandalorian Skulls are minted from stabilized Nova Crystals, since they are made from a valuable trade good, they have a fixed exchange rate with whatever government you could choose to buy from. In addition to that, since they are in fact Nova Crystals, you could, in a pinch, use them directly as fuel for your ship. As you can see, what I said before is doubly true in this case. You can use these Skulls to pay for fuel for your ship, or you can use them as fuel for your ship. As for the job itself, we will be collecting Wroshyr Tree Saplings for transport and transplantation to Mandalore. As such, we would of course require that the saplings not be damaged during transport."

He keys the comm again.
"Oh, hey there, again... Oh, that comes in handy, two mynocks with a single blaster bolt"
The Mandalorian can heard some muffled voices and static. Clearly they were discussing the payment between themselves. There was even a nervous chirping in the background.
"If you want trees, we can deliver trees. Though, it won't be a clean job and we're definetely not fighting wookies. My pilot says he wants to keep all his four arms, ya know?"
Communication cuts again.
"So, you better be ready if those furrballs come knocking to the door, because we want no trouble with the wookies: they never forget, that's bad for bussiness"

My pilot says he wants to keep all his four arms, ya know?""So, you better be ready if those furrballs come knocking to the door, because we want no trouble with the wookies: they never forget, that's bad for bussiness" Aloriya nodded happily, "No need to worry Loth-Wolf, we don't intend to fight the wookies. But if it comes to fighting wookies, we can handle it, and we'll cover your retreat. We will be looking for an exceptionally large number of saplings, preferably under 5 meters in length. we hope to find them in the upper canopy, growing on top of some of the larger trees. After all, it is unlikely we will be able to find any saplings on the ground since there would not be enough light to reach the surface to allow them to grow. If it comes down to it, we will take branches of the appropriate length and splice them onto the native Veshok trees of Mandalore. we may be able to find some saplings at the edges of the forest, near a lake, river, or ocean, but that will not be our primary focus, and will only be sought as a last resort. We do not want to spend an overlong amount of time here. I of course understand that you cannot guarantee that the specimens will arrive in perfect condition, however, I must warn you that we will only pay full price for the specimens in good enough condition to grow. Since any specimens that would not be able to be planted or spliced would only be of use as lumber, we will instead pay a fair lumber price for them. That being said, we have several carpenters on Mandalore, and they may be willing to pay even more than what we are paying for the lumber. I cannot speak for them, as I am not one, nor is that one of my objectives here. I only mention it so that you are aware that you will have options upon arriving at Mandalore should some of the specimens prove unfit for use in my mission." Aloriya transmitted her personal comlink code as a burst data transmission directly to the Loth-Wolf. "I have just sent you my comlink code. If you have any further questions, or need to contact me for any reason, please use it. I will be headed down to the planet now, your sensors may have already detected the launching of our freighters along with a pair of escort fighters for each, please make note of their IFF transponders and mark us as friendlies at least for the duration of our business together."Aloriya keyed off the comm and turned to Alor'ad Atin. "While we are on the surface, ensure that anyone attempting to attack us or our new allies is met with extreme force. Also, continue to monitor that other fleet over there, I want to know if and when they decide to respond to us. You know the mission, you have my permission to act in accordance with our best interests in regards to them, but keep me apprised of the situation. If necessary, forward comm transmissions to me or patch me in to the communications you may be having with them. I will have my buy'ce with me."Aloriya made her way to the back of the bridge with BL-93 to board the Komyrk. As she crossed the bridge, she settled her Buy'ce down on top of her head, and sealed it. The familiar heads up display coming online in front of her eyes and displaying the standard information of atmospheric content, 360 degree vision, and comm channels. There were other features, but those were the most important at the moment. Using her helmet comlink as she boarded the komyrk and made her way to the flight deck, she checked in with her escort fighters and made sure they were ready to launch. Receiving their confirmation, she gave the order to launch, and the ship released its mag-locks on the Keldabe and vectored down towards the planet picking up their fighter escort on the way.

"Ahemm... copy here. We will gather as many of those saplings you want in our cargo bay, we have nutrients and water since it's not the first time we deliver flora cargo"
Said Xerxes on the comm.
"Going down on the planet. Good luck, Mando"
The bucket-heads could watch how the Action VI started to enter orbit.
"Okay, we gotta make this quick"
"Agreed"
"We still have that machinery from the Felucia affair?"
"Yessss"
"I will need you to stay on ship, Zarsk, your kind and the wookies don't get along"
The forked tongue licks the air and Zarsk hisses.
"I will wear their peltssssss if they dare touch you, be careful"
"I will"
Xerxes raised from the seat, kissed the Trandoshan and left the cabin. Wan Tyco kept checking the systems and lowering the ship. The captain walked through a hallway until reaching cargo bay.
"So, we gotta transport some saplings. An extravagant job"
Said Rannia, the Nautolan, wearing a flight suit and a light plastoid cuirass, blaster on hip. Their eccentric 3PO unit was handling some heavy machinery.
"Yeah, well, we've seen worse"
He takes his helmet from a cabinet and the long rifle, putting it across his back. A BB unit rolled into sight, chirping anxiously.
"We're not gonna die today, Ballsy! Come on, let's go"
With a rumble the Action VI landed.
"Coast clear, guys"
Said Tyco on the speakers.
"Let's go, Xerxes"
The cargo bay openned. Both aliens leave the ship, hands on blasters.

an xs light freighter exits hyperspace and upon seeing the other ships hangs back wary of bullies in his small barely armed ship The sensors officer called up from the bridge pit informing Alor'ad Atin that there was a new XS Light Freighter in the system. The IFF system identifies the ship as a neutral and unaffiliated ship, christened the "Honorable Judgement""Open a hailing Channel. Perhaps this newcomer could use some credits just as that last freighter seemd to."The comm Officer indicated that the channel was open.XS Freighter Honorable Judgement, this is Alor'ad Atin of the Mandalorian Battleship Muun'bajir. If you have business of your own to attend to, or if you are here on behest of the Cartel we see here in orbit, then please disregard. However if you are here on your own recognizance and looking for work. We may have a job for you. Please respond if you are interested. Regardless of your purpose in the visit to this system, check your fire in regards to our ship if such occasion arises. If you open fire on us or any ship broadcasting a Mandalorian IFF signal, we will destroy you with extreme prejudice. Muun'bajir out.Atin placed his hands behind his back in parade rest waiting for the response of the new freighter in the system. Then he walked up and down the bridge checking on all the systems and ensuring that all operations were going smoothly. Sensors provided information on several transport ships which clearly belonged to the hutts in orbit going too and from the surface at regular intervals. Atin wondered what they were doing, but sensors wasn't able to tell anything with passive scanners, and he wasn't going to order a sensor focus on those transports in case the Cartel drew the wrong conclusion from that. He checked on the crew of the Loth-Wolf and their position on the planet, as well as on Alor'aan Aloriya. It shouldn't be much more than a day or so before they were able to finish loading the ship and head back to Mandalore.

Aloriya waited until they had cleared the treetops and her pilot had them on a course for the Muun'bajir, then she went to the main cabin and sat down across from the wookie elder who had accompanied her along with a few other wookies. She began to speak to the elder using the Shriiwook translator she had installed in her helmet prior to coming to Kashyyk in search of Wroshyr sapplings.
"My name is Aloriya Marev. I will be releasing you and all of your brethren as soon as we reach my ship. I have no intention of keeping you or any of your people as slaves. We will take you wherever you want to go, and we will furnish you with money and supplies so that you may survive. I could not leave you on your homeworld to be sold into slavery. I only ask that you allow us to take you wherever you want to go without your people harming us. If I may ask, what is your name?"
The wookiee Elder considered Aloriya for some time, during which, she sat still and bore his scrutiny.
"My name is Naznak. Why are there Wroshyr saplings in this ship?"
Aloriya glanced to the rear of the compartment where several of the BL droids had deposited the last saplings they had been carrying when she gave the order to return to the village.
"The saplings are why I came to Kashyyk in the first place. We came here to get Wroshyrs so that we can grow them on Mandalore. We intend to re-forest some of the devastated regions of our planet with them. In addition, we plan to make houses in them, and use their wood to build houses owing to the tree's renowned flexibility and strength."
The wookiees held a rapid conversation that was either too fast for Aloriya's translator to pick up on, or was in a dialect that her translator did not cover.
"If you do in fact release us, I will tell the rest of my people not to harm yours. Then I will talk to them and we will decide what we will do."
Aloriya removed her Buy'ce and smiled at the Wookie Elder.
"Thank you Naznak. I promise your people will be freed. In fact..." Aloriya pulled out the control codes to the collars and stun cuffs and released Naznak's restraints, then Aloriya gave him the control codes. "I trust you to keep your promise to ensure that your people will not harm mine."
Naznak took the Control codes and released the other wookies that were on Aloriya's Komyrk. They then began to speak to each other again, and Aloriya realized after putting her buy'ce back on, that her earlier suspicion was correct and that they were speaking in a dialect that her translation software did not cover. They were now speaking slowly enough that it should be translating for her, but it wasn't. She frowned slightly as she made her way back to the forward section of the ship to take her place behind the pilot.

Kaine hit a wall and nearly knocked himself senseless. The pain told him he was still alive, but all the alarms ringing in his ears told him that wasn't guaranteed to last.
Slowly, the old Mando opened his eyes. The ship was intact, but the boards were lit up with warning lights. Every alarm on the Kom'rk's bridge was going off. He reached up and managed to wave them to silence. Mercifully, the noise died. At least the ship was still functioning.
Barely holding onto consciousness, he half crawled, half dragged himself to the main console.
Slowly but surely, he managed to program in a course to the nearest habitable planet which the navicomp said was Kashyyyk. Plenty of worse places to end up.
The second thing he did after setting course was open a comm.
::Anyone out there?:: Kaine coughed. ::Could use a hand.::
That was an understatement. Gingerly struggling along on one remaining engine, the Kom'rk was in as bad a shape as the Australis Alor.

Kaine hears a voice from the comm and is very relieved. He hadn't wanted to chance winging it all the way to Kashyyyk.::Hey, this is Wild Boar. We've come out of some sort of collision that's buggered our systems, and we're running on one engine. Any chance of a tow to the nearest dock?::Kashyyyk wasn't a major shipyard, but the Wookiees would have a station or something in orbit capable of fixing Kaine's battered ship, he hoped.
Maybe this freighter would give him a hand. Kaine would find a way to pay back the favour.Cique Claybourne

Kaine managed to keep himself conscious during the trip back with the aid of a Bacta aerosol. He was still groggy from the accident, but he wasn't about to pass out now. The other ship had them in tow, and they were on their way to Kashyyyk.::Thanks pal. Would have taken us a week to get there under our own power.:: Kaine commed when he was feeling better.
