The massive blast from the X-wing caved in a large section of the AT-TE. Even then, it managed to continue walking forward & firing for a few more steps before the intense heat from the blast managed to propagate far enough into the armoured control section for the massive tank to shudder & crumple to the ground. The grass & other flora that hadn't been torn up in the fighting quickly caught light from the burning gel that still covered much of the tank from earlier. Before too long there was a small blaze spreading through the nearby plant-life, though it looked like it would burn itself out before it would become a threat.

Aya watched from the point of the AT-TE, as all the other droids had been destroyed in the pass over made by the X-wings before the waves of others had joined in on the task of taking out the tank.
Now the only threat to the jedi forces on the battlefield was the six remaining ball turrets & the four, much smaller, repeating blasters that had been part of the modifications made to the vehicle after purchase. The armour on the underbelly had been heavily damaged, but no sabre was nearly long enough to reach the truly critical parts of the tank. It was nice however that the tank was fully automated, as the attack would have killed some of the crew in a standard AT-TE.
The mysterious jedi had somehow managed to block one of the long, powerful blasts from a ball turret. The fact that he managed to do it without being turned into a friction stain against the ground was something that Aya would carefully ponder & consider for future attacks. A copy of his physical features was quickly made for reference & further study.

Moments after eliminating the jedi on the tank, the rough cluster of battle droids was shredded by the X-wings passing by overhead. The AT-TE swept the ground based defenders with the remaining ball turrets, making use of the fact that they had popped out of hiding in order to attack. Aya knew that the tank wouldn't last another pass. It was a simple calculation after all. But that didn't mean it would stop firing before it was destroyed. That was one of the great benefits of droids over organic troops. They never ran away. They never surrendered. They never disobeyed orders. They just killed everything in sight without hesitation.
They were also cheap. Nearly seventeen thousand battle droids were marching toward the temple at that very moment. Most of the attacks would be small, only ten to twenty droids. Some however, would be much more impressive. The temple would soon find itself under nearly constant attack for the next three weeks. Droids would pour into the clearing around the Temple roughly every half hour. Before long it wouldn't just be the droids taking their toll, soon sleep deprivation & a growing scarcity of fuel & ammunition would begin to drain on the enemy. This would not be a pleasant month for those trapped inside the Temple.
The next attack would start in just under half an hour.

Aya watched through the three remaining droids as the menfolk decided to waste their time & energy beating each other up instead of focusing on their jedi targets. Typical. Other than making sure that they weren't in danger of being drawn into the fight, the droids took no action. Sooner or later this little temper tantrum would burn itself out.
There were plenty of other things to keep track of without trying to babysit the leader of the Empire. Even if he did look like he was having far too much fun decimating his own troops. Aya made a quick mental note to pass on the Admiral to have the nutjob replaced as soon as was convenient.

Several more droids quickly fell to the oddly flexible & fast jedi rampaging through their ranks. Fire quickly shifted from being focused on the pinned down soldiers to the jedi in their midst. As the tank's main gun swung around to fire a shell at the pinned soldiers, the jedi landed on the back of the mighty vehicle & sliced clean through the barrel.
The jedi suddenly had the undivided attention of every droid on the field. The remaining seven fire droids turned their flamethrowers toward the tank & began to bath the entire vehicle in flaming goop. That was quickly joined with a flood of blaster fire from the remaining forty blaster droids, & the fifteen supers.
The jedi would have to move quickly indeed if she want to escape from the lethal onslaught.

The droids didn't even bother to turn to face the fool. He apparently didn't recognize the voice as the one that commanded the space battle. Or the markings as belonging to a rather important Or'dinii.
-Aya (in Mando'a, through the droids) Hide your foolishness by keeping your mouth shut.

One of the groups making their way into the encampment was a quartet of B2 super battle droids. Each was covered in obviously mandalorian markings & clan Or'dinii symbols. It didn't take long for the droids to locate someone that was in charge. They managed to find the Mandalore.
-Aya (In Mando'a, using the droids for a carrier signal) Oya, Mandalore. Most of my forces are scattered across half the moon. My first wave has already reached the main temple & is trading fire with them now.

Before the dust had even cleared from the first shot, return fire was reaching out from the temple. Within a couple of seconds a couple of shots, either very lucky or very well aimed, pierced two of the flamethrower fuel tanks. Those two quickly turned into a pair of burning columns, each engulfing several nearby droids.
The two rather large burning patches appeared to have taken out nearly half of the flamethrower droids & another ten or so of the standard b1's. The sole b2 caught in the blaze merely continued marching forward, pumping fire in the direction of the enemy location.
One of the ball turrets on the tank began to swing around to track the figure that foolishly decided to jump out from behind the cover. A scraping sound followed by a series of metal pops preceded the turret rolling to point nearly straight down, all but falling out of the tank. The AT-TE began to ponderously swing around to bring another of the turrets to bear on the target.

The holographic woman watch him pull out a packet of spice & begin to lay it out.
-Aya You know, it probably isn't the best plan to get addicted to you own product. It is an even worse idea to be hopped up while doing business.
I assume that you more or less want the product smuggled from Kessel to Fallen for refining then on to Tattooine? Logistically, that wouldn't be difficult. But the payout would have to be worth the risk of being caught with it. Plans would have to be made to shift blame in the case of a failure, so that the deal could continue.

There was a moment of surprise, then she knew exactly what it was. It was a pair of Human Replica Droids, or in this specific case, Zabrak Replica Droids. A droid advanced enough to pass all but the most advanced medical scanners without so much as raising a single question. Just one of these would cost a jaw-dropping fortune. Here, laying in front of her, were two. For her birthday.
The hologram flicked away. A moment later, the other ZRD twitched. A few minutes later. Both ZRD's were fully dressed & taking a few awkward steps.

The measures had been successful, as until the delivery being carted the boxes into the building, the daughter had been completely unaware of the importance of boxes. Once they where in the lobby however, the combination of the date & the fact that she didn't know anything about the boxes clued her in on their significance.
The game had entered its last leg. Aya hadn't been able to find a single scrap of information about this year's gift from any source she tried. If she didn't figure out the contents soon, her father would win this year. The first thing she tried, though she doubted it would work, was to use the lobby scanners to ID the contents. True to her predictions, the boxes may well have been solid featureless blocks of durasteel for all she learned that way. Then she slipped an order for one of the desk clerks to open up the crates in order to find out, but the crates proved to be data-locked so that only the being that placed the order would be able to open them. Twenty minutes later, the boxes were sitting in a secure room along with her father & she had exhausted every option she could thing up. It seems she had lost this year, but there was always next year.
She took a minute to decide how she would appear for this year. It was a bit of a tradition for her to show off her newly aged up 'model' to her father first each year. Few enough people got to see it anyway, as the 'current' model was usually reserved for more serious business. She was, however, a little annoyed that she had lost this year. Eventually she decided to keep with tradition & show off her new form. For clothing, she decided to go with a simple white dress, with her pink hair pinned up in a bun.
-Aya Alright Father, you win. So what did you get me this year?

The hologram nods then over the course of several seconds shifts in age from a young girl to a twenty something Zabrak. Turning her golden eyes on Exchequer, she takes a seat in the simple but elegant 'throne' that just appeared behind her. Her voice changed from the childish squeak to a silky purr.
-Aya Right then, I'm here to talk business. It has come to my attention that you placed orders for MMC stations on Fallen, Kessel, & Tattooine. I figure that this wasn't just from the nonexistent goodness of your heart.

The first of the droids under Aya's control broke through the last of the undergrowth that had delayed them as much as it had. Through the droid's eye, Aya looked out over the clearing around the Temple. It was time to begin.
With a series of wooden cracks & pops, An AT-TE walker pushes itself free from the undergrowth & into view of the temple. With a tremendous roar, the main gun opened fire at the side of the temple, obliterating a pair of floating holographic numbers & tearing a chunk out of the side of the massive structure.
Within a few moments, the lumbering walker was soon joined by nearly a hundred battle droids that were struggling out of the brush. There where sixty B1s armed with the standard blaster rifle, another 15 armed with flamethrowers, & 10 B2 super battle droids. As soon as the droids had pulled themselves into a loose group (though it was far from ordered ranks), they charged the temple, opening fire at anything that presented a target.

There was a slight flicker as one of the secure holoprojectors came to life. A small, Pink-haired girl was the focus of the new projection.
-Aya Hello Checky. How have you been? She takes a glance around at the other occupants of the roomDo you trust everyone in this room?

Aya took a quick glance through the building, looking for someone. While she did notice that business was going on as usual, she also failed to locate the person she had been looking for here.

Using several false trails & doubles, Aya posts an open bounty for the death of any Republic Senator with a prize of 1,000,000 Credits per head. However, the bounty wasn't just for a single time, the first ten killed would grant the bounty reward. The total sum of 10M "7 was also wired to the bounty office to cover the bounty reward.

The holographic battlefield flickers & morphs into the form of a young girl. A young girl that is very familiar to both of the beings in the room. Aya turned & winked at the beskar-clad Gungan before vanishing again.
