I suspect that could be manageable, so long as Cosette is halfway competent. Rutil's not the sort of guy to endure foolhardiness lightly. And Dav, Rutil wouldn't need a reason. You know him better than that. All any presiding Master would have to do is stand him straight, point at a hologram of Kashyyyk, and say "Go". He'd probably have a fleet organized by the time Dav said "G-".

As Dav noted, one of Rutil's big in-character wishes is to free Kashyyyk. So much so that when the opportunity opened up, he jumped the gun and had the Masters call everyone together (anybody remember that Operation: Campfire that never got off the ground?). I figure he'd at least be overseeing the operation from on high, if not spearheading one of the main assaults himself, as a diversion or otherwise.

Good God, this took off right quick.
As Dav said, on the off-chance you STILL need a hand in liberating Kashyyyk, you have my sword.

Kicking his legs over his head, Rutil cartwheeled through the air to land on his feet, facing his opponent, only to be greeted by a red lightsaber streaking through the air at him. A daring attack, to be sure. One of desperation as well; parting with one's weapon to such a degree could only be a last-ditch effort to slay one's opponent, based on blind luck even with the Force at one's side. Leaning to the right, Rutil let the crimson blade sail past him, where it flew into the deep pit that the junkyard had been built next to.
There wasn't a point to retrieving the weapon. If the crystal was attuned to Nexus - which it almost certainly was - then it would simply power down in Rutil's calloused hand. Leaving out the dangers of having a dark artifact on his person, keeping an energy blade that could be turned on with a thought from the enemy did not seem altogether wise.
He glared at Nexus, now a good eight or nine meters away. Behind him, with scant centimeters, was a fairly long drop. Seeing the Sith ignite another blade, Rutil stood in an Ataru stance as he gathered the Force around his body, forming a protective shell that would act as a first line of defense if Nexus tried another ranged attack that didn't involve arcs of lightning. He said nothing, preferring to let his green eyes stare across the sand at his enemy.

Ves stepped over to the small tree, just feet away, and propped his staff against it. As the human Jedi turned back to his Zabrak counterpart, he unclasped his lightsaber from its place at his left hip. For a moment he shifted his grip to feel the metal. The Adegan crystal within sung of the Light side, encouraging a smile. Returning the smile - although allowing it to form more of a challenging smirk than a show of delight - Rutil reached for his own lightsaber. It was far from the masterfully-crafted weapon of the light that Master Kor-taan wielded. It had neither a brilliant golden blade nor an expensive and ornate phrik handle; the hilt was made of ordinary durasteel and was of a relatively simple design, and would let forth a blade that blazed with the royal blue of a Jedi Guardian when activated. The weapon was carbon-scored in some places, and bore "scars" all its own where repair work had been done. And yet Rutil had never replaced it to match the admittedly beautiful and unbreakable lightsabers worn by his compatriots. His lightsaber had been with him since he first built it in Ilum's crystalline labyrinth, and had been by his side and in his hand for almost a century.
And yet, it was not a meditation aid for him. Rutil's forms of meditation were of a much different nature, and quite far in the minority compared to his fellow Jedi. Had Master Kor-taan expressed an interest, Rutil would have been more than happy to show him. Provided, of course, the Master wasn't averse to the possibility of a few bruises and the guarantee of soreness.Igniting his own lightsaber and dialing it to the lowest power setting, Rutil stepped forward and delivered a slow overhand strike coming down towards Master Kor-taan's head; the opening maneuver for the standard Shii-Cho drills. Being unfamiliar with Master Kor-taan's preferred style, the broken-horned Zabrak figured he would open with the basics.

Taking steady steps, Nexus approached the jedi, bracing himself for an attack with the force or the saber. Closer and closer he stepped, walking straight to Rutil, believing the jedi would not budge, though he was not so ignorant as to be unprepared for unorthodoxy. Three meters, two meters, one meter and a half... ...now.Still crouched from his previous injury, Rutil launched himself forward with all the might and speed his legs could muster, allowing the Force to turn him into a missile. His lightsaber was pointed directly at the Sith Lord's pale chest, ready to stab the black heart that pumped vitriol through the darksider's veins with a blade sworn to do just that.If successful, the fight would be over. The only danger after the strike landed was Rutil accidentally nicking himself on his own blue blade protruding from Nexus's back. But if he missed? If this mysterious Sith was somehow fast enough to get out of the way? With any luck, the Jedi's own momentum and the Sith's own stance would prevent a counterattack.

So the Sith wanted to play a distance game, then. Damn.
Landing on his feet, Rutil was barely able to throw up a barrier around himself, resulting in his kneecap being violently pulled to one side rather than being outright destroyed. The Zabrak let out a loud, low growl in response, dropping to his left knee to ease pressure on his wounded right. He would be fine in a moment. But he knew if he applied his knowledge of Force Body right then and there, he would have to lower his already-limited guard; such a move begged for an opponent like Nexus to swoop in for the kill. And yet if he stayed at a distance, he knew Nexus could throw lightning bolts or attempt to crush kneecaps all damn day.
Rutil did the only thing he could in the situation, and once again raised his royal blue blade while he opened himself to the Force, ready to act on its will at a moment's notice.

A kick like that was more than powerful enough to shatter the old man's kneecap. If there was enough weight behind the force, it would not be impossible for the attack to sever the femur from the tibia and fibula altogether. At his age, it was a damning injury for Rutil to sustain. At this moment, however, it could very well allow a Sith Lord to wreak havoc on the galaxy. Compared to that, spending the rest of his life as a cripple was the last of Rutil's worries.
Having let his mind and body become a conduit for the Force, he knew precisely when and where to move. As the Sith's leg shot forward, Rutil's own legs propelled him skyward and backward, leaping over the armored boot by a wide margin. Kicking his legs over to complete the backflip, Rutil reached out with his free hand, sending a powerful surge of the Force towards the Sith's own leg in an effort to topple his now off-balance enemy.

And she is. This is because she suffers the most violent end - no, seriously, THE most violent end - a pop star has ever faced. It's horrific. We're talking Princess Diana levels of bad here. No, Princess Diana, Amy Winehouse, and Michael Jackson combined bad. It's gonna be talked about for years. That's how bad and horrific and violent it is.
I wish we made contact with another alien race by now.

Oh, and we do. And JvS would like to thank you, Eralam, for providing the entirety of your face to help make Operation: Better Dartboard a possibility. Accuracy has risen over 70 percent!
I wish the first Halo was as good as its sequels.

You get more tobacco. As a corollary, you get more cancer. And by cruel twist of fate, it's only JUST enough more to make chemo ineffective.
I wish I wasn't such a git when corrupting wishes.

You don't. But in lieu of the hayfever, something worse sets in. We actually don't quite know what it is, so we'll be naming it after you.
I wish I could alter the world to my will.

"That's what the sequences are there for, Master. You get your body moving without thought, and it leaves room to think on the more important things."
Rutil knew exactly what Master Kor-taan meant. Having only found externally what most of his peers could find internally, the old Knight knew more than most what a series of sequences could do for one's mental state. But he'd never figured the Master turned to this route.
"It makes me wonder, though. What's causing the clutter?"

Seeing the Sith Lord's blade come at his own, Rutil saw no choice but to lock with it.
He hadn't the momentum to slide between Nexus's legs, the space to maneuver to the side of or behind his opponent, or the speed to lean back, avoid the slice, and spring back to send one of his own to end the fight. The latter maneuver - Rutil's personal favorite - worked fantastically in most cases, but if Nexus could ignite his blade and bring it to parry by the time Rutil had reached him, odds are he would be fast enough to meet the counterattack. Or worse, stop it entirely with a quick swipe down.
Neither of those seemed particularly helpful.
With no recourse open to him right then and there, Rutil instead allowed the Force to flow through his body, preparing a response to the Sith's next move instead of wasting his time trying to counter the current one.

And boy howdy, do you get it. They're so tinted, in fact, that seeing out of them becomes every bit as impossible as seeing into them.
I wish it could remain at a comfortable temperature forever.

"All due respect, Master, but we have training rooms for that sort of thing."
Leaning on a wall not far from where Master Kor-taan ran through his motions, Jedi Knight Rutil Iorek watched him intently. The Zabrak - dressed in earth-brown robes with the sleeves cut off at the elbow as he always was, and making no attempt to hide a prominently broken horn in an otherwise even crown atop his head - was projecting annoyance on all levels, though none of it was directed at the Master himself. He had just gotten done examining a droid in the tech bay that had almost brought one of his former students a violent death, as well as coping with the fact that not even a cursory investigation had begun yet. And rather than take his usual route of going to the training rooms and slicing training droids to ribbons (possibly costing the Praxeum a small fortune in the process), Rutil figured he might try actual meditation for once. Such a thing had never been easy for him; ever since he was an Initiate on Coruscant, Rutil had been a fighter, only truly at peace when in the middle of all-out war. But for some reason, the simple practice of kneeling in a garden and listening to the Force felt appropriate.
Of course, when he entered the garden and saw the known healer twirling a staff and leaping about, any notion of that went right out the window.
Rutil pushed off of the wall and approached the Master Kor-taan, bowing his head while doing so, taking care to not get in the way of his exercise.
"Might I join you?"

With one last grunt, Rutil left the tech bay. Hanging around the shattered remnant of a broken droid wasn't doing his mood any favors.

Indigo arcs of lightning - the worldly form of the Sith Lord's hatred - shot across the short space only to be caught by the royal blue blade of the broken-horned Jedi Guardian. Gripping the hilt of his lightsaber in both hands, Rutil gathered the Force and pressed through the barrage, looking to close the meter's worth of distance between himself and Nexus. If Big Blue-Eyed didn't relent in the space of the next second or so, the top half of his hand would be replaced with a cauterized stump.

Well, this took long enough to get around to.
Rutil's available at the Jedi Praxeum at Yavin IV, and is usually willing to head out wherever to bring the fight to the Sith. And that's what he is, a fighter.
Rutil has mastered Shii-Cho, Makashi, Soresu, Ataru, and Djem So to the point of artistry, although he has only ever practiced Niman a few times in his life, and has only studied Juyo / Vaapad in a textual sense. Further, he trained in and mastered several martial arts during the Jedi Purge; Rutil is a master of Echani, Teräs Käsi, Stava, and Jeswandi. Lastly, as a result of his service in the Clone Wars and exposure to several different mindsets when it came to combat, Rutil is a brilliant tactician, every bit as able to plan and coordinate a planetary invasion as he is a one-on-one fistfight.
Suffice to say, however, that all this time training has put diplomatic ability to the wayside. I'd recommend sending Rutil to a government meeting only if the intent was to spark a war.
