Faina remains near to Nicademus after the promotion ceremony has concluded and the attendees begin to break up into smaller groups; though she knows it is improbable that any threat to the Emperor will arise, Faina's solitary nature makes her choice to remain vigilant all the same an easy one.
As she does her best to remain alert to any danger to the Emperor's person and yet unobtrusively aloof from any of the interactions Nicademus is engaged in, Faina occasionally lets her gaze wander around the hangar bay for any sign of the newest addition to the ranks of the Imperial Knights, Lucien Needa. Though she has yet to meet the new Imperial Knight, Faina has been provided with a dossier detailing his rather singular life thus far. Though she knows that the information she has been given is limited by virtue of the fact it contains only a compilation of details free from any insight into the effects the events and experiences had on Needa, Faina nonetheless finds the Emperor's choice to make the man an Imperial Knight a curious one; her trust in Nicademus' ability to accurately judge the character of others only marginally leavening her concerns about the internal stability of anyone having undergone all that Needa has been through.

Harnan did not much care for the ceremonies of the First Order. Grand events held to commemorate officers and personnel on their rise to power. However, recent events had found the Knights of Ren lacking in membership. To that end, Harnan had appeared here so that they would at least be represented.
He remained within the crowd during the main event, clad in his newly forged armor. His previous set having been significantly damaged during his mission to the Unknown Regions, and tainted by the darkness that had been purged.
When at last the ceremony was over, he moved through the crowd. Watching each of the newly promoted members of the First Order. A relatively unknown Commodore, the son of a Grand Admiral, and a female Miralukan hailing from the Empire of Palpatine. Of all the people assembled here, she interested him the most. Not simply because she was strikingly beautiful. But because unlike the younger Needa, Shel had not pledged her talents to the Imperial Knights. At least, not yet anyway. Perhaps there was still a chance to convince her toward joining the Ren. Which was why he made his way through the crowd toward her. Coming to a stop just behind her Lady Hu... Congratulations on officially joining the First Order...

Stoic within her usual uniform, Jenia attended the ceremony on board of the Executor-class Dreadnaught Ars Moriendi - the pride of the First Order. The Rear Admiral had already seen Super Star Destroyers and even attended once on board of the Ad Gloriam before the battle of Dac, yet it was probably the largest starship she had ever visited minus the shipyards of Kuat. Even in comparison though with the harbour right next to this mobile battlestation though, the feeling of standing aboard one of the most feared ships within the galaxy was still intense, even for an expierienced Imperial official like her. Just witnessing the ceremony itself, when all of the three persons present were introduced into their given ranks by the Emperor himself, filled Jenia with a lot of respect for the Empire under which she served. This wasn't a mere promotion agenda, it was at the same time a demenstration of the First Order's power. And Rear Admiral Kasalle enjoyed every single moment of it.
While she eventually stood there, she eventually would talk here and there with the present persons, most of them being in a similiar position as her. However, in particular she had interest in talking with two of the three individuals present. For one it was of course her future subordinate Krzesimir Viggo, with whom she would work together in future missions as far as she was told by high command, on the other hand though it was Lucien. Since their last meeting at Garqi she still remembered him in a positive way. To some point she didn't really knew why exactly she felt that way, but there was still need for her to talk with him. Yet she didn't show any emotion as she watched the promotions unfold, being so far wondering if she would also ever cross pathes with the new >Fleet Admiral, who was promoted. Although she served under Admiral Garrick Needa during the last major battle, fate could always decide that their paths might meet as well some day. Thus she waited patiently until she would get a chance to either talk with Viggo, the young Needa or whoever wished to talk with her - in the end it was just official talk, followed by some sort of gala of which she had heard. About the later, Jenia was even unsure if she was really in the mood for it, given that she still thought about her regular duty and the work schedule, she had planned ahead already for her fleet.

Very unlike his usual style, Lucien had chosen to dress in his usual Imperial Knight Armor. His shiny silver medal glinted off the black cortosis-lined carbon fiber of his breastplate, and his glossy red shoulderplate reflected the bright lights of the Hangar rather well. While he normally would have worn his helmet, but that would be extremely out of place at an event like this, unless of course one was the enormous, armor-clad tank of a man walking through the throng of people that had gathered to see the promotions. His red cape flared out behind him, the seemingly soft fabric disguising the blasterproofing inlaid in the apparently decorative feature. As the crowd began to disperse into their smaller groups, Lucien took the opportunity to seek out some friends of his, as well as the leader of the Imperial Knights herself.Faina remains near to Nicademus after the promotion ceremony has concluded and the attendees begin to break up into smaller groups; though she knows it is improbable that any threat to the Emperor will arise, Faina's solitary nature makes her choice to remain vigilant all the same an easy one.

Wandering through the crowd, the younger Needa nearly walked headlong into Faina Nikulin, the current head of the Imperial Knights. The woman had blended into the crowd rather well, not attracting much attention to her person. As such, Lucien had not noticed her in his stroll across the vessel's hangar bay. Looking her in the eyes, he could tell that the senior Imperial Knight was sizing him up, as would be expected if she was truly all Lucien had heard about her. Taking a step back, Lucien gave a shallow bow to the woman he would be working for during his tenure with the First Order."Grandmaster! I... I wasn't expecting to run into you so abruptly. My apologies." Stoic within her usual uniform, Jenia attended the ceremony on board of the Executor-class Dreadnaught Ars Moriendi - the pride of the First Order. Walking through the sea of grey that was the Imperial officer corps, he saw a few familiar faces, but none he could openly approach as a friend. However, after making his way through a particularly thick group of officers, ran across someone he did not expect. The silver-haired woman known as Jenia Kasalle. Lucien froze. He had not expected to see her here today, though he supposed he shouldn't have been surprised. It was, after all, a major ceremony for the First Order, and anyone with any degree of rank in the First Order would be extremely likely to come along. She was with a group of other officers, but the others seemed to be simply making small talk with the woman, as well as imploring her to attend the evening's gala alongside them. Jenia, as expected, was understandably annoyed by all this. And so Lucien decided to save her from the annoyance and embarrassment of these other officers."Admiral Kasalle, I hadn't expected to see you here..."

Congratulations on officially joining the First Order... Surprised to here her name from behind in an unfamiliar voice. She turned slowly to see a shape of deep red. It resembled that of a powerfully built man. As she focused her Sight on him and gained more details about him, she could tell that his face was conventionally handsome, though it was simply the facade covering the darkness within. A smirk crossed her face.=Shel=Thank you. Though it's Fleet Admiral Hu. I hold no title other than that, including the title of 'Lady.' But what should I call you?

Harnan smirked as Shel corrected him on the title to address her by. Fleet Admiral. A foolish military rank granted by the First Order. Hardly worthy of describing Shel and her abilities We hold what ever title others deem worthy of respecting us with, my Lady. If others wish to view you as a mere Fleet Admiral, well... That is their own loss... As for my name? I am Harnan of the Knights of Ren...

Her smirk remaining on her lips, Shel decided to keep conversing with this man, it could prove to be a good deal of fun.
=Shel= Such flattery. And with such a physic and face, you must be popular with the females. Though flattery alone will not be enough to sway me. But you still intrigue me with this talk of the Knights of Ren. I heard nothing of this from my archives. What is your philosophy?

He nodded his head slightly as she paid his looks a compliment. For the most part, such a statement was far from true. If only because very few people had seen what lay beneath the armour. He assumed that some people out there imagined him as Shel saw him. But more often than not, they believed him to be a disfigured monster. A belief he was more than happy to let the common masses of the FO believe since it kept them out of his way Those that have seen me... Yes, I am sure they would agree with you... But yes, I do not doubt flattery is not enough to sway you. But it was only ever intended to get your attention... Especially amongst such... distinguished company... He let out a brief, mechanized chuckle. Something that he had not done in a long time As for the Knights of Ren... I am not surprised you did not find mention of us in your archives... We have kept ourselves mostly to the shadows. Working toward one goal... Order. We make use of what many consider the dark side, but we do not enslave ourselves to our emotions... While fools like the Imperial Knights lay down their lives in defence of one man, we fight to spread forth an idea... Today, the First Order embodies that idea...

Raising a brow at the chuckle from the Knight, Shel was not impressed by his apparent lack of respect for her peers in the Navy, as well as the Imperial Knights. Though the purposed goal of his order was over all a good thing. She had spent much time trying to bring Order in the Void.
=Shel= Order? Yes, a worthy goal. Though I am concerned by something. Your disregard for the others who make up the First Order, that you claim embodies your ideal... is concerning. Unity is paramount to securing Order.

Harnan might have come back free of the darkness that had threatened to change him into someone else entirely. But he still held some of his old attitudes toward members of the First Order and the Imperial Knights. Something that may yet take some time for him to change his opinion on. But if he was being honest, he did not think that was ever going to be likely. Too much had transpired to prove otherwise You want to know what is concerning? The amount of Imperial Knights that I have had to kill for betraying the First Order, that even their own members have had to silence... As to the navy... If you have not yet already, then you may want to read up on the attack on Naboo... The Ren might use the dark side, but at least we wouldn't gas civilians. So yes, my respect for parts of the First Order is lacking, but it is not without reason... But you are correct, Unity is paramount, and we are united by the Emperor and his children...

Wandering through the crowd, the younger Needa nearly walked headlong into Faina Nikulin, the current head of the Imperial Knights. My apologies." Small talk not an art that Faina has ever devoted a great deal of attention to, she does not address Lucien's apology, ignoring it her way of making it known to him that there is no need to apologize for anything as trivial as not having anticipated encountering her here. Her disciplined disinclination to permit overt indications of her thoughts or emotions, coupled with the equally disciplined way in which she carries herself when in service to the Emperor, can often lend her overall demeanor an imposing, stoic caste, and as she is well aware of that fact, Faina makes an effort to sound more warm than formal as she returns the bow Lucien had given to her while greeting him, managing even a brief, sincere smile, "Knight Needa."
Knowing that beginnings are tenuous, fragile things, Faina decides to set her misgivings about Lucien's past and what lasting effects it may have had on his character aside for the time being; understanding that the way in which she and the Imperial Knights as a whole treat him will lay a foundation that either makes him feel welcomed and which affords him a place among them, or that instead makes it seem as though he neither welcomed nor trusted, she elects to strive for the former. "Congratulations, Faina says with a hint of solemn ceremony that she cannot entirely shed from her tone given the occasion and what she hopes to convey, on your Knighthood. Her tone becomes less formal, evincing even a note of humor as she adds, It is admittedly a bit belated now, but allow me to personally welcome you into the ranks of the Imperial Knights. Her head cants slightly to the side at an intentionally inquisitive angle as Faina asks in an informal tone chosen to invite candor, How are you settling in so far? If ever there is anything I can do to make your transition into your role a smooth one, I trust you will let me know?"

Elsewhere in the room stood an Imperial Officer very clearly trying to avoid attention. She had been extremely reluctant to attend this event, much preferring the company of her men aboard her ships, where no-one could bother her. However, these sorts of social events could be useful in forging connections, which was, admittedly, important if one hoped to succeed in any organization.
And so she sat near the edge of the room, making conversation with several other admirals. Her familial roots were well known, making her a target for several officers who wanted to hear stories of her grandfather's exploits. As such, she tried making herself as inaccessable as possible, so that only those who truly had something of value to offer her in conversation would even be able to approach her. However, things like this put her out in the open, making it more difficult to do so. And so she resolved to keep conversations short and tidy, regardless of who approached her this evening.

She wasn't really sure if she had to expect much, but nontheless decided to break the ice -she neither liked dialoque all too much, thus it might be destined to be a short conversation. Greetings Vice Admiral, she merely said, before introducing herself, "I'm Rear Admiral Jenia Kasalle - from what I recall we had so far not the honor to meet." Given the size of the First Order this wasn't necessarily a bad thing, as millions of fleet officers seemed to serve everywhere on every planet within every sector. And although there was a larger conference on Taris before the assault on Mon Calamari was launched, Jenia hardly remembered who of the higher ranked officers was present with the exception of those with whom she planned the attack in consens with the Emperor himself.Following his conversation with the Grandmaster, Lucien made his way back into the crowd, hoping to run across other people he knew from whatever limited amount of time he had spent in the First Order. My congratulations for being now officially known as the Emperor's faithful knight." Although it sounded sarcastic with the cold tone of speech, which she still maintained, it was meant honest nontheless. She appreciated the young Needa and also his servitude for the Empire, given of what she found out on Garqi during their last meeting. Therefore the atmosphere was for her more relaxed, when knowing the person in front of her.

Which was one less headache she'd have to deal with."So, what brings you to my little corner of the room?" She made that remark in a joking tone, but there was a layer of truth behind it. She had tried to isolate herself in this part of the room, making herself inaccessible to most.

Nodding along with Harnan as he spoke of several of the recent issues the Empire had faced. She sighed, unsure of what security level clearance this man had, she would not share some of the atrocities she and her crew performed in the name of Palpatine out within the Void.=Shel=A reasonable enough reason to have your doubts in some. But I was raised to follow my Emperor to the letter. If it is his will, it will be done... Or die trying. So you will not have any incidents such as that from me. But what has brought a man such as yourself to grace me with his conversation? Harnan had read up much upon the actions of Palpatine, whom rumor had it that Shel had previously served. The idea of a Sith sitting the Imperial Throne merely reminded him of the Sith Empire of the Old Republic. They were all power hungry lunatics that sought to consolidate power to themselves and feel as if they were in charge. Much as he might disagree with Nicademus, he at least knew the man had some modicum of honour. So perhaps there was hope yet that Shel would not end up at the wrong end of his blade. A smirk formed on his lips then as she asked the one question he had been anticipating would be asked eventuallyYour beauty, obviously... Though, in that regard, I'd say it is you that has graced me with her conversation... But more importantly, the promise of the future... Perhaps not yours and mine together, as exciting as that might be... No, the promise of where your gifts might be more appropriately honed...She would feel his presence press against hers then, not in a violent invasive way, but just touching upon the edge of her consciousness. His voice echoing within her mind...The Force is strong with you, Fleet Admiral...

Ona felt a presence approaching her from behind, and so internally cursed her luck before putting on a smile and facing whoever it was behind her. However, she did not see whoever or whatever she was expecting, and was instead greeted by someone she had never met before. Relaxing a bit, she nodded her head as the woman made her introduction, now aware of the fact that she was not likely here to badger her with annoyances. Quite frankly, she looked about as happy to be here as Ona was."Rear Admiral. I am Vice Admiral Ona Veed, a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Gesturing to a nearby table, she invited Jenia to sit down for the conversation. She really would have preferred to keep it short, but at least for the moment, she would be protected from those officers who wanted to "socialize" with her. Which was one less headache she'd have to deal with."So, what brings you to my little corner of the room?" She made that remark in a joking tone, but there was a layer of truth behind it. She had tried to isolate herself in this part of the room, making herself inaccessible to most. "Duty, as usual", Jenia answered truthfully, while she took the seat thankfully, "One of the promoted navy officers will apparently serve under my command. Other than the Emperor himself and in order to witness the future flagship of the First Order, there are no other reasons why I would be here. I'm terrible at galas - therefore I picked the best safespot available on this dreadnought to spend the time being here." It was not necessarily the best thing to tell one stranger, but at least it was honest. Kasalle hardly knew how to endure the event, especially in light of a later-on following gala. She felt more comfortable with having command over her ship rather than wasting her time with absolutely nothing. Of course the speeches of the Emperor inspired her, but the time afterwards was always hard to endure if it wasn't for a tactical analysis. Well, and Lucien Needa, most recently, but this was a chapter on its own already.
"Therefore I hope that I haven't disturbed you too much", Kasalle added diplomatic, "It seems kinda selfish of me to seek refugee at an already occupied place." The last words were meant as a joke, but to some point the Rear Admiral felt guilty about dragging Vice Admiral Veed into her personal situation. Maybe she had gone too far with explaining herself while hardly answering the Vice Admiral's question.

Blushing slightly as Harnan piled on the flattery, but intrigued by the honing of her 'gifts.' Then a sensation she had not felt in a long time. Another speaking to her through the Force. She had not been trained in how to reply, but she was familiar with it.=Shel=That is what my... master... would say. Though he only saw one use for me. A Battle Meditation expert. Even now, I am subconsciously using it. She motioned around. All those in the immediate vicinity seemed to be acting oddly in unison. Every sip of a drink was timed and precise. No accidental bumping of shoulders as people moved from one group to another. Everything in perfect Order, as it should be.

It was not too hard to tell that his words were having an affect on Shel, his keen eyes catching her blush. He regarded her a moment as she replied to his comment. His gaze briefly wandering to those standing nearby to take in the effects of her ability. If Soku was capable of ever being aroused, he suspected this moment would have caused his brother to climax. He returned his attention back to Shel then. The display was quite impressive, and he found himself just that bit more interested Your old master was a narrow minded fool... You, my dear, are a goddess among mortals... Chained down by a Sith that thought he could steal your power for his own purposes... It is time someone helped free you of your bonds...

Smirking as Harnan commented about her 'Father,' Shel continued to study him, making sure she was familiar with how he was presented in the Force.
=Shel= I suppose my training was far narrower than others of my talents, but what would a Fleet Admiral need with other abilities in the Force? My crew already acts in perfect unison. What could the Knights of Ren offer me?
