Talon slightly tilted his head as he bowed it to his Jedi companion, appreciative of the offer of a place to rest and find a new lease of life for him and his group.
He wondered if he would be allocated the same quarters from when he was last in the academy, not that it matters. A bed is a bed after all.
"On behalf of me and my group, I thank you and the academy as a whole for your hospitality.
If we can help in anyway at all then we will, as I mentioned before most of us are looking to integrate ourselves into the Order or local security forces, if you or another individual could assist us in obtaining that goal then we will be thankful".
Talon glanced back to where food was served as he started to feel peckish.

Arvis returned the slight bow."I'm sure we'll find a place for your people. I'll speak with the administrator as soon as I'm able."The Knight could already think of one or two uses for a security team here at the academy. One could never be too careful with security in this day and age.
But now back to the task at hand. There was a whole plate of food in front of Arvis that needed to be attended to, and once that was done there were still a few other things he needed to take care of. Besides accommodating Talon and his crew, he felt he should check up on the academy's othe recent arrival, Jade Hanac, to see if she was settling in all right.

*Ashrea quietly walks in, she rarely drew attention to herself if she could help it. The young woman walked up to get some food to eat, and then finds a space to sit down. She sighs softly to herself, pulls back her hair, and starts to pick away at her food. Her eyes did casually glance around the room as she does, quietly wondering what she should do after this. She felt somewhat out of place since her arrival, but she didn't feel much like she was fitting in anywhere she went.*

Feeling that the current conversation has been completed, Talon noticed his companion looking longingly at his food. Feeling the hunger pangs kick in once more, he uttered "Excuse me, I must sate my hunger once more" before his body gave the telltale rumble, giving those in the near vicinity something to listen to.
He chuckled for a brief moment as he walked over to the serving area once more. His sense of smell immediately picked up some sort of casserole cooling down in a plasteel dish, ladle at one side to let one pick there own servings.
There was probably twenty dishes at least to choose from but his body automatically poured some out onto his tray, his mind did not argue.
Taking his previous spot and sitting down, he couldn't help but rush the first few mouthfuls in, it was delicious. He slowed down after that to savour the meal, and to stop his hands from shaking along with the slight cold sweat that had enveloped his body. He made a note to have his meals a little bit closer together from now on, or at least choose foods that would sustain him for longer periods.
His friend had nearly finished his meal, and would probably head off to other things within the Academy once it was gone.
Having a short break from the hot dish to drink some juice he picked up, he quickly rattled a written message off to his group back on the Freedom's Hope using his Holo-Comms implant in his arm.
'Feel free to explore the grounds and city, tend to your personal business for a while. Fenris.'
He scratched at his back where he sustained the saber injury while on Prakith, the scar ran almost all the length of his back, stopping short just below his neckline and just before the lower lumbers of his spine.
Maybe he would pay a visit to the medical area to get one of the Healers to give it the once over after his meal.

Arivs nodded in agreement and started to eat while Talon went to grab more food for himself. It wasn't too long before he had finished his meal, now ready to face the rest of the day.
The Knight slowly got up, empty tray in hand."It was nice to meet you, Talon. I hope to see you around!"With that, Arvis took his leave.

Sometimes you can argue with people. Sometimes they might even come around to your point of view. Other times, there just is no point. Jade thought this might be one of those times. Once she arrived at that decision, she implemented it quickly in the form of a long-drawn out, long-suffering sigh, ending with a dramatically expressive eyeroll. Then, she took the cup. And arched an eyebrow at Daz ruefully while examining it---"You realize I can't ever use this in front of anyone who might see? What sort of person drinks from a mug with their own face plastered on it?" She muttered to herself, "Don't want indigestion while drinking my beverages." "Of course we've got a coffee machine. The Academy is still standing, last I looked." She smiled warmly. Perhaps he didn't fit in among the Whills? Maybe Daz was just looking for some way to live a bit of life among mortals. Who knew?"Shall we?" She gestured down towards a cross-corridor and turned left towards the Academy's mess hall. Dazbog had followed Jade into the dining hall of the academy, gesturing for Jade to give him back the mug, having put away his sword, which promptly disappeared from his side. Something about not being paid enough for its special guest appearance. Total pre-Madonna."It was just a nice gift I thought you would like. It's just a regular mug with a likeness of yourself on it....for now."Tired of waiting Dazbog snatched the mug back, his eyes narrowed in an intense glare at the Jedi as he turned away from her for a moment. He began muttering to himself as he waved his hand over the mug several times."Sim sim, salabim...grrrr.....Hocus pocus, not the eyes...hmmmm.....open sesame seeds?"A large bang erupted from the mug, followed by a bright flash of light. Dazbog turned, the right tip of his mustache sizzling. He held out the mug back to Jade. It still looked like the same old mug. Dazbog winked as he put on the little spark in his mustache with his right thumb and index finger."There. Hope that tickles your fancy more."Dazbog looked at Jade expectantly, waiting for her to ask what he did to the mug. The mischievous smile across and the playful look in his eyes spoke volumes about his sanity. You try spending most of your life trapped in a star and see how you are after you transition to another dimension.

So she noticed the Gand long before he reached her. She looks up as it addressed her, she knew enough to know it was a Gand, but struggled to identify gender. She gives a warm smile, despite how out of place she felt, and responds quietly.*Of course you may sit with me.

Jade shook a bruised finger under Daz's nose as he snatched the mug away from her and began muttering nonsense over it, complete with gestures as she watched skeptically. She wondered if there was some sort of bureau to refer to with inquiry's over the sanity of a Whill. The faintest hint of a smile tweaked at the corner of her lips as he handed the mug back to her.
She arched an eyebrow as he set his mustaches on fire and then examined the mug. She inquired finally, knowing that was what he was waiting for, dancing on his tiptoes for all the world like a child being given his first knife, "What did you do?" as she kept them moving over towards a well-equipped bar area just down from the more normal coffee and drinks station hard by a large potted tree.
~~~
Large black eyes glittered in the light as the Gand slipped into a vacant spot on the bench opposite to Ashrea.
"Gand is pleased to see other Jedi eating."
The odd being shifted in its seat, odd bumps and protrusions shifting under the shoulders of its robes as it took hold of its drink and sipped noisily through the straw before setting it back on the tray and regarding the woman with its unblinking stare. It sensed that she felt out of place, and so did the Gand sometimes. Perhaps that was why it had said hi.
Dazbog appeared as if he was about to speak, and then seemed unsure of the words he was trying to form. The Whill huffed and then held up a finger, as if he was going to speak, and then stopped again and put his hand to his chin as they walked to the beverage dispensers.
"I don't have the faintest idea."
Dazbog stared at the mug in Jade's hands for several more moments before speaking again.
"Maybe its a weapon now? Mugs don't usually explode with a force of fifty billion megatons, do they?"
Dazbog's voice sounded genuinely confused. Still, he took out his own mug from his beard, complete with chibi art of himself on the front, and began preparing some coffee for himself and Jade. As he poured the coffee into his mug, he inhaled deeply the aroma, before blanching slightly. He took something out of one of his green robe's pockets and dropped whatever he had in his hand into the mug of hot beverage before taking a sip and sighing in satisfaction. He gestured for Jade to go next.
"Try it out. It might just make this 'coffee' taste better. No offense to the chef but they could really stand to learn a thing or two about the proper types of grounds to stock."
*Ashrea smiles and quietly waits as the being sits itself down before she continued to eat. She continued to peck away pickily at the food she had in front of her. She looks up at him and nervousl bites her lip as he said he was glad to see Jedi eating. She shook it off quickly and smiles again as she looks across at the Gand. She tilts her head a bit and quietly speaks, the sounds that come out, are not much louder than any other sounds she made.*
You are?
"It would be helpful to know in advance if I'm holding a time bomb," Jade replied dryly as he prepared himself a beverage according to the Caffeinic Laws in the Datacards of Steaming Espcaf.
She eyed the dark liquid in her mug as he handed it back to her, then arched an eyebrow as it started to bubble suspiciously. After a tentative sip in which she almost scalded her tongue---at which point it becomes hard to taste anything---she looked back up at Daz. "Is it supposed to boil drinks now?"
"I would guess the chef is busy cooking for the Academy instead of focusing on something that might be considered a luxury item." Really, Daz's thoughts seemed to jump out in a confusing fashion if his actions and words were any indicator. Perhaps he was on some kind of medicine? Did Whills even do that kind of thing? She found herself concluding that it might be better not to know. After all, they were supposed to be busy overseeing things, and that kind of behavior wouldn't invite people to trust in their supreme overlords.
~~~
Large black eyes contemplated the nervous Jedi unblinkingly.
"Gand makes Jedi nervous," the little alien declared in a statement of observation. It continued blandly, "Gand do not eat live beings."
It gestured to the food on its plate and speared a bite on a fork before chewing it pointedly. The padawan wondered what the Jedi's name was, but asking would have been rude.

Dazbog watched as Jade almost scalded her tongue. He frowned and pointed a finger at the mug. The bubbling stopped, and the coffee began wafting a delightful smell.
"That should fix that problem. Maybe there are a few bugs that still need to be worked out. Or maybe its feeding off of your thoughts. Who knows?"
Dazbog sipped coffee from his own mug and began walking over to a table to sit down at. He made an appalled face when Jade stated that Coffee was a luxury.
"Luxury? It's a basic sentient right to have access to coffee. I'll have to create a gateway to my supply from here so he can have access to all the finest coffee beans and flavors in the galaxy. Except for my patented special flavor. For that you have to come visit me on Tython. You're more than welcome to come and say hello anytime you want."
Dazbog sat and sipped from his mug, smiling happily. He took out a bag from his robe pockets and sat in on the table. He reached in and pulled out some blueberry granola and popped it into his mouth, munching contently.
"And no I'm not on any medicine. Whills do not need to sustain their health using mortal means. I do pop a multi-vitamin every now and again. I'm not getting any younger. Though I could....."
Dazbog chuckled to himself before he continued speaking.
"So, you've met a Whill and have not began showing all your friends that we exist. Are you going to report this to the Council?"

"Oh?" she queried and immediately began thinking of a tall blue-green fluted goblet as she frowned at the steaming mug. This was after she and Daz had sat down at a table, since she was not about to experiment while actually holding the thing.
So, he lived on Tython. Was that where all the Whills lived? Or just himself? Now that she stopped to think about the fact that Whills were more than a clever fiction to control the populace she guessed that like the ancient mythological gods and goddesses of Old Terra they probably liked to have a galaxy or two of space between themselves.
"You positive you want a fixed gateway to your house here in the middle of a Jedi Academy? What would happen when young padawans and Jedi start popping into your residence for a chat?" Or vice versa. Wasn't Tython controlled by the Empire? She was not about to condone a back door for the Sith into the heart of a Jedi academy.
She grinned stealthily. "Were you expecting to be shown off? Paraded about perhaps? I'm sure we could have the staff fix up a giant banner to announce your presence, if you like."
"On a more serious note, should you be reported to the Council?" she inquired, tapping her fingertips lazily on the edge of the table. Her green eyes gleamed with a hint of a predator in the middle of a hunt, not matching her calm tone. "Do you want to be reported---a Whill doing, what is it---acting out?"

Dazbog simply shook his head.
"The gateway would be connected to my coffee supply, not my home. They are two entirely different places, but at the same time I am quite at home there. And I never said it would be in the middle of the academy. Still, I suppose you are right. I can just have the coffee transported here."
Dazbog set down his mug and put his hands together on the table. He seemed serious about what he said next.
"Tython is neutral. As are the Whills. We all have our preferences, but our purpose is to be impartial to all happenings and going-ons in the Universe. I, for instance, am closer to the Light Side of the force. Though I am in no way affiliated with it. It's....hard to explain to mortals."
Dazbog cleared his throat and blushed a bit at the mention of a parade.
"No...no parade. I merely meant that this is an unprecedented situation. A Whill appearing is not something that happens every day, though I do try to keep my calender clear for random pop-ins. I'm surprised that you have not tried to get me to share secrets of the Universe, or grant you powers of the Gods to aid in the Jedi cause."

I`m sorry.. I don`t mean to be rude. I just have.. I`m edgy around new people...
*She sighs softly as she sits up and tries to compose herself better. She set down her fork and straightened her robes. She looks across at the Gand as politely as she could, not wanting to appear more rude then she already had. Her eyes looked kind, though she was always self conscious that her scars made people think otherwise. She smiles and softly speaks again.*
My name is Ashrea.

"So you are neutral," Jade replied with a slow smile, "one who dislikes conviction or principles," she took a deep drink of her steaming beverage and allowed it to cool for a second or two before swallowing, hoping the immortal being would be able to realize that she was having him on a bit. "I can deal with impartiality. Actually, I prefer it as far as the Whills go." Emerald green eyes shot a glance at him over the top of her mug.
"Blushing? How interesting. I was unaware that that was a possibility." And then she looked at him curiously. Of course she wanted things, but there was nothing that she could ask a Whill for. It wouldn't even have occurred to her to do so until he brought it up.
"Yes, it is unprecedented, but it was at your initiative," she reminded him gently. "I am not sure even the power of the gods would help the Jedi Order at this point," she looked over at him, speaking quietly, though deadly serious at the moment, "I wonder why I keep trying sometimes. It would be so much easier in a way to just leave---but I can't do that. Serrin asked me to be here."
She could have gone into more detail, but she tended to keep things to herself. Even Z'har did not know everything there was to know about her. Terra had a couple of glimpses, but again that was leagues short of the whole picture. She never found it easy to talk about herself. And she had really only just met Daz, so Whill or not, that wasn't really an option either.
~~~
Black eyes took in her scars at a glance and the Gand pointed at itself with a short finger.
"Gand is called Vuu'rl Rlees."
It attempted to approximate a smile that probably came off as more of a grimace before returning to its dinner.
"Has Ashrea been at this Academy long?" it inquired curiously as its eyes were momentarily obscured by a blink.
Dazbog pointed a finger at his mug, which was sitting still on the table, and it filled back up with more steaming coffee. He smiled to himself and lifted the mug back up to his lips, drinking the magically appearing coffee. He spoke in between sips.
"I go where I believe there is need to go. Whether it be to make a deal with a mortal, offer advice, or just talk to."
Dazbog sipped again, and when he set the mug down, he wiped some coffee in his mustache away with a handkerchief.
"As bad as it sounds, some promises are meant to be broken. If you are not happy here, you should do whatever it takes to achieve happiness. If being here is not what you want, I am sure everyone would understand your leave to complete your goals."
Dazbog cleared his throat with a coffee before downing the phlegm that came up with another gulp of hot coffee. He set the mug back down and put his hands together, intertwining his fingers.
"What would you do if you left? Make your own Order? Become an intergalactic hobo? That's my job."
Dazbog laughed as he took a handful of granola and popped it into his mouth, munching away once more.
"I suppose that however much it was unlooked for, I do appreciate it."
She finished her coffee and set the mug with the chibi depiction of herself on the table. Unfortunately she did not have the ability to magically fill it however, that being relegated to Whills and the spirits of the dead. Properly speaking she didn't think they would need to ingest coffee, but so far it hadn't come up for review in committee.
"Hmm..." she let the sound trail off as she thought about it. What would it be like to simply leave? She highly doubted it would be understood. But, in a different universe, if it happened---
She propped her chin on her hand, relaxing from her formerly rigid posture. "Retire to Etti IV and live as a hermit I suppose." Though, she didn't know how long that would last. Some people simply had to be involved in other things, and she couldn't see herself simply settling down in a cottage somewhere and growing old. "Form my own Jedi Order? Now there is a thought." Her eyes glittered for a moment. "Sometimes I wonder, but then even with the best of intentions who can say what will happen? Perhaps one day, if I am convinced that there is no other alternative, that there is no way to remedy the united Jedi Order...but only when I am convinced of that beyond hope of reasonable doubt."
"Even though I am weary with wishing for it," she muttered to herself.
Dazbog smiled at Jade's thank you for suddenly popping up. It was nice for his ears to hear, though he did not let it go to his head.
"If you left the Order you could always settle down there, find a man...or woman...or....variation thereof....and play happy family. It's natural to want better things. Even I want to perfect the finest tasting Coffee. It's a passion. You just need the drive to do it. If you want to be a hermit, I can always help with the housing issue."
Dazbog pulled out some building blue prints for a three room cottage. Whether they were whipped up magically or whether they were something he carried around was something Jade might never know. He pointed in the center of the largest room.
"Now you don't want to make the same mistake as Yoda did and not let us help him build his house. What you want is something low tech, but sturdy. Storm resistant constrction, underground cellar for storage and safety. You might want access to the holonet, for the moment you realize that you have to go back out and aid people in need, but that won't happen for a few years at least. I can always have it build in later....Or...have a time delay on it so you cannot access it until the right time."
As Dazbog went over the blueprints it was obvious he was getting a bit too into the idea of hermit-hood. By the end, the small three room cottage had shield system, mine field, a bunker three hundred feet underground, four hidden automated blaster cannons on the outside, and ten on the inside. There was even a jacuzzi. He rolled the blue prints up and pushed them over to Jade. He sipped his coffee with a content smile on his face.
"You can keep those for future use, if you need them. Might come in handy."
