Agreed completely, Dav. I'll be the first to admit I wasn't a fan of the KSO or their esteemed former leader, but I'm as willing as the next guy to respect that part of JvS lore. For the sake of the RP, are we establishing that there is still some kind of tyrannical dark side faction running the planet? If so, that makes our job a lot simpler.

I've got my IC ticket into this RP. Seeing how one of my PMC's tasks is anti-slavery operations, Kel and I agreed that my troops would pick up this transmission going out to the slaves due to them tapping into this network to pick up leads. My men would arrive to dispatch/disrupt the slaving operation, and get sucked into this conflict.
Now, I'm bringing in a platoon of soldiers to RP with. I'm looking to break them into squads of twelve men so that I can focus on an in-depth description of each team and the details of the engagements. That, and more squads mean more people to write with.

Well, my Sith, Electrix, is, as far as I know, the only Kashyyyk Sith who has made the jump to the new boards. He is on Kashyyyk, albeit as a Force Ghost. He could be resurrected or used for DarkSide influence or whatever...

As for Electrix, maybe he could be the one behind the whole thing. He gets resurrected by some wookiee cultists, and then makes a deal with the SI to take over the planet again. On another note, since the slavers are kind of in this for themselves, I was thinking they could do a little back stabbing when things start turning bad for them. Maybe they try to back out once the PMCs starting kicking some ass, the Sith say no they have to stay, and then they start a little in-fighting.

As Dav noted, one of Rutil's big in-character wishes is to free Kashyyyk. So much so that when the opportunity opened up, he jumped the gun and had the Masters call everyone together (anybody remember that Operation: Campfire that never got off the ground?). I figure he'd at least be overseeing the operation from on high, if not spearheading one of the main assaults himself, as a diversion or otherwise.

This would be perfect for the "Jedi trap" and the climactic lightsaber battle wherever we end up doing it.

I reckon Rutil will be one of the main Jedi on the ground.
And since Johun is the only Kashyyyk Sith writer to transfer, that kind of gives him the right to say how it happens. I will make a suggestion, however: It could be that the Kashyyyk Sith gradually had some kind of involvement with the SI building (due to mutual Sithy nature), and that through various manipulations - and the Windu-gang going somewhere undisclosed on some kind of undisclosed mission... quest... thing - the SI manipulated one of theirs into the seat of power. This could all have happened "off camera", meaning by the time we hit the ground on Kashyyyk, it's already happening, with the ghost of Electrix watching over it, perhaps pleased with this new regime change, perhaps dubious, perhaps outright opposed.
Then when rumours start circulating of a Wookiee rebellion already beginning to happen on the planet in and of itself, that's what attracts Rutil's attention, and the Jedi Council dispatch him on behalf of the Jedi to support the Wookiee rebellion's efforts in seeking independence from Sith rule.
Just an idea.

Awesome, perhaps if it isn't much trouble, I could accompany Rutil?

I suspect that could be manageable, so long as Cosette is halfway competent. Rutil's not the sort of guy to endure foolhardiness lightly. And Dav, Rutil wouldn't need a reason. You know him better than that. All any presiding Master would have to do is stand him straight, point at a hologram of Kashyyyk, and say "Go". He'd probably have a fleet organized by the time Dav said "G-".

Just an idea. This sounds good to me, pending Lec's stamp of approval. Personally I'm not a huge fan of the whole idea of characters simply "resurrecting" but obviously it's not up to me. The Force Ghost thing to me seems fitting and an appropriate nod to the lore of JvS and of Kashyyyk in particular - Lec, curious about your thoughts on that. We can certainly just set up the RP as the SI having an agent in place, maybe not as head honcho but as a person in a position to open the door for the slavers and other undesirables if that sounds amenable to folks.

Well harro dere!
Anyways, I'll slip Arcanus onto the Jedi team if there is room. Best to send a Jungle boy to somewhere he's comfortable right? If there isn't room, perhaps I'll shift over to Mon Cal or focus on Yavin. Whatever happens, I'll roll with the punches.

I have no problem with Electrix remaining a ghost, but I would like Electrix involved.

Okay, really sorry for being slow to respond with all of this guys. I'm assuming that we're putting this on hold temporarily (or at least not starting the conflict outright) until the Second Imperium/Mr. Sentriss is done with his Aquarius scheme... which may take longer than expected, apparently. So I guess I'll try to develop this character to a level that I'm satisfied with and start writing a bit on Kashyyyk.
In the meantime, let's get an organized list here.
Oh wait, that's already done... Thanks for including me by the way.
Anywho, it appears that the Sith might be slightly out-manned. I know that Kel was talking about incorporating a corrupted Wookiee chieftan to his side in order to gain a foothold with the natives. Perhaps this character could serve that role instead?
Also, we should start spitballing on the actual plot. What I could piece together from the thread was this:
The Kashyyyk Sith, having ruled Kashyyyk for decades, have slowly slipped into an age of decadence and laziness. They're past their prime, and the Second Impierum has taken advantage of their weakened state by implanting feelers and double-agents into their ranks. When the Imperium finally strikes, they use a corrupted Wookiee chieftan to aid in the overthrowing of the Sith government to put in place a new, seemingly all-native government which is secretly controlled by the Imperium via behind-the-scenes strings and such. The corrupted chieftan (now the de facto planetary leader) uses his own people as a bargaining chip to gain this power, pawning them off to Trandoshan Slaver/Mercenary bands and the Imperium itself. When the majority of the Wooks hear of this atrocity, they send out feelers of their own to contact the Galactic Republic/Jedi Order. The combined forces send in squads of commandos and Jedi warriors to discover the truth, find the source of the chaos on the planet, and put an end to it. Ultimately, this will result in a full-scale rebellion pushed forward by the Jedi and Sith from behind-the-scenes. I'd prefer to have the Jedi win this one in the end, only to see Kashyyyk be opened up to new types of SLs and RPers. Although, I'd also like to allow the open ending that everyone enjoys. Makes the writing that much more dramatic, in my opinion.
Sound good for a rough draft? Feel free to throw in your two cents, anyone and everyone. I'm by no means the leader of this. Everyone's got their own piece of the pie.

On a smaller-scale, character-level note, since Celia is a young and rather angry Jedi, I thought it would be interesting for her to be at least tempted by the dark side amid all the upheaval. Any Sith characters want to be a part of that?

Electrix is a Force Ghost on Kashyyyk, and his tomb provides a strong DarkSide presence over the planet. Electrix is the on Kashyyyk Sith remaining as far as I know.
