Special Tactics And Reconnaissance Squads are one of the many arms of the Organization and leading the pack is Team Alpha. S.T.A.R.S as their name suggests are a special forces sect of the Organization, much like the Green Berets or Navy SEALS to the United States. Their duties include unconventional warfare, foreign internal defense, special reconnaissance, direct action, and counter-terrorism. They will visit planets, aide those in need, gather information, and if need be join in battle, the planned rebellion on Kashyyyk is an excellent example of where Team Alpha might be found. To the public they would simply appear to be mercenaries, however they would report directly to me. Since they are the lead team in the Organization they are considered to be the best of the best in each of their select fields. What I'm looking for are a group of diverse individuals who together great an elite team. Of course a leader for the team will be needed but what roles everyone else takes is totally up to them but I will provide examples of useful team members: - Heavy weapons
- Demolitions
- Technical and Communications
- Medic
- Pilot
- Sniper
- Melee
- Mechanic
- etc.
And of course not all of those need to be represented by individual characters nor is this an all inclusive list, the pilot could also be a mechanic, the medic could also be a melee expert, and so on. I will also accept characters who want to play a loose cannon or the comic relief if only just for fun but still be an effective member of the team. I prefer if the team consists of mainly non-force sensitive characters if not completely given the Organizations stance on the Force, however exceptions can be made. I'm in. Given my experience with the Bloody Aces I'd like to be considered for leader of the group but I'll be a regular squad member if you have someone else in mind. In either case I think this is right up Ty's alley.

No, you assign me to both the RP we have going on and assign me to your number 1 teams, and I can send you intel reports by infiltrating your objectives. That's how I wanted it to come across, I was really tired when I wrote that, plus me and Ty have worked together before on the other site with the BAMF and I get along with him well. As a Kiffar alone, I can be a very valuable asset to your organization, not including the perks to what has been done to my body.

Pixie and Hans, I appreciate your offers but I prefer to keep Organization projects separate, that includes their members. For IC reasoning it is a security measure, keeping groups isolated from the others serves to stop potential security risks. For example if someone should infiltrate one operation they could only gain access and disrupt that one operation rather than having the potential to infiltrate multiple operations.
However if you would like to begin new characters to join in this venture you are welcome to.

I shall keep Arn at the ready then.
Story line wise, he was away rescuing Reapermantis from Ventor on Zeltros when the Castle was hit, so would not necessarily even know what has transpired… depending on how much I fill in the blanks.

Corsette, after much thought I've decided that given the secrecy of the Organization's true goals that it would not be far-fetched to think that a force user would be granted a position on an elite squad such as this, so with that in mind I will gladly accept your offer to join if it is still on the table.

Sounds cool.
I can do heavy weapons, demo, commo, medical, a bit of piloting and mechanical work, and sniping. Experience in coordinating air and artillery support. I can also plan and execute missions from the fire team level on up to company, and I make a mean pot of coffee.
Any chance on challenging Ty for the lead? This is strictly a professional issue, nothing personal. If I'm getting paid to follow someone, I want to make damn sure that they're better suited for the job.

The reasons I chose Ty were his abundant experience and ability to lead successfully, it made him a perfect candidate to lead this group. However I am open to input from all parties on the debate, including team members and those who wish to be team members. I'd like to hear who the team would prefer lead them.

That's the trouble with mercs. We believe what we see, and we're not terribly attached to the notion of taking folks at their word. If he can prove that he's a better choice, then I'm in. If not, thanks for the offer, but I'll find my sandwiches elsewhere.

As I said, I'm open to having a discussion, perhaps even a vote, to see who will be leader of this squad. If someone isn't the leader this time not to worry, the S.T.A.R.S. are not limited to one team. There are also less team oriented projects that I am currently working on.
