This is actually a two parter boys and girls. In addition to your preferred universe, what if any super power would you be interested in having?
For instance I have always wanted the ability to control electricity. Its potential is pretty much limited by your imagination, wanna fly? You can do it. Want to have force lightning? Done. So on and so forth.

DC, or to be more exact, Gotham, and maybe some Blüdhaven.
Also, if I could have a superpower, I'd choose Alucard. Either Castlevania or Hellsing work.

I'm a Marvel fanboy, got to say. Got love for the Bats, but, the rest of DC doesn't do it for me like the Marvel rosta does.
And superpowers? Super-intelligence and learning capability. We're talking Sherlock Holmes, Batman, Mr Fantastic type clevers.

I must say I prefer Marvel to DC.
As for superpower, it has been proven that infinite money is the best superpower of all and I would choose that!

The ability to create objects from descriptions/representations of the object. (picture of a knife = a knife that looks like the one in the picture, a description of a book = the book described, etc)

Marvel .... Though i have collected Batman, World's finest, and a couple other DC titles in my day.
Though it's not here, I'm more of an Image fan now... With titles like; Invincible, Walking Dead, early - Spawn.
Super power? oh man... and it has to be Marvel or DC Uni? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....
Either Thanos or Darkseid. 'cause, well, they are practically Gods, and I lust for absolute power... and the ability to shape the world as I see fit. Yes, I'm quite insidious in RL.

Marvel over DC. The only superhuman characters are actually pretty much gods. Thor, for instance. The others, like Captain America, Deadpool, Hulk, they're just enhanced, but not incredibly overpowered. Unlike Superman, who is a total bitch. "OH GOD, A PIECE OF ROCK. I NEED Sunlight! GET ME TO A TANNING SALON STAT!"
Iron Man is probably my favorite, followed closely by Captain Rogers and Dr. Strange.
As for powers, I'd be the Mandarin. Comic book variety, second or third retcon.

Im waiting for a theatrical version.

While I have no hate for DC, Marvel tends to appeal to me more.
As for superpowers, I'd always choose invisibility. Just so I can sneak into the girl's showers.

I used to love Marvel, but recently I just find myself bored with them. The characters aren't really facing huge, deadly threats in the same vein as DC heroes, simply due to power levels. No one beats Superman when it comes to scale. Marvel is pretty good when it comes to personal conflicts, though.
Personally, Super-Speed. Most overpowered, deadly, and useful power there is. The Flash could easily beat out any other hero.

What, no Vertigo?
I'd have to go with the Saint of Killers. Pair of Colt Walker revolvers that never miss, never run out, can never be lost, and are always fatal, even against God and the Devil? Sign me up.

Marvel is the better universe as a collective of characters, hands down. However, Batman is unquestionably the greatest hero of all time.
Superpower? The Force. Duh.

Marvel holds my more immediate interest.
Superpower? Think I'd have to stick with Xeo on that front. I love the idea of controlling electrical currents, and also not being phased by them yourself. Extremely versatile in this day and age. Need power for an entire district? Stick your finger into the main transformers at the local power plant for about 30 minutes and let it cycle. I loved playing inFamous on the PS3. It solidified the awesomeness of having electric discharge at your fingertips.

I have to say my wanting the power stems from the hero Static Shock from the DC universe. When I first saw his cartoon as a kid I was hooked on that super power.

I kinda liked Hei's version of the whole electricity thing, from Darker than Black. Like, by itself it's pretty weak (most of the time), but it was versatile, and he knew how to use it.

Marvel over DC, but I've enjoyed stories from both.
As for a power... Adaptability. Like Darwin has in Marvel (the comic version), but with the ability to learn to control it. Getting shot by bullets? No problem. Here's some bulletproof skin. Stuck underwater? Here, have some gills for the road. Fighting an enormous green rage-monster who's pumping out enough radiation to kill everything within ten miles? Radiation absorption, super strength, and invulnerability with a side of teleportation.
And if not that, then just teleportation. The legit kind. Transporting an object or being from one location to another without crossing the intervening distance. No dimension shifting or space-time bending. Just pure, unadulterated, absolute teleportation. The applications for that would be... immense. Oh, and a cosmic spatial sense to go with it so I don't teleport myself into a wall or floor or something.

Marvel is arguably the best universe, but I like the versatility of the Geoff Johns war of light in GL.
As for Super powers, I'd be the master of magnetism. Wanna guide lightning? Done. Wanna fly? Easy. Wanna shift the Earth's poles and really have some fun? Absolutely.

I refuse to pick which I like because they both have titles I really enjoy.
As for powers? The Watcher.
