*Kaytra mumbled the mans name under her breath, trying to see if it rang a bell. She had to agree with him though, she was glad to be alive.* "Me to." *She closed her eyes for a moment before opening them and speaking.* "I'm Kaytra Tatham." She tried to move her left arm only to find it unresponsive. Her right hand wasn't fairing any better. At least her shoulder and the minor cuts on her body weren't bleeding anymore, even if they were still sore." "How did you find me. I thought those slavers would have been here by now."

*Gavin moved his hands to brace himself as he adjusted himself next to her.* "Nice to meet you, Kaytra Tatham." *He thought upon her question, trying to figure out a way to explain it.* "I was sleeping in the Meditation Gardens at the Jedi Temple when I felt something through the Force, as if something calling. Very rarely does something wake me up like that. As such, I followed it here and found you."

*Kaytra paused for a moment, taking in what the man just said.* "A Jedi then. That figures. I shouldn't be surprised, but somehow I am." *Her eyes glanced up at the roof. Even though her attacker was no where in sight, she still felt like she was in danger. Then it clicked, her friends were still out there.* "I wasn't alone. My squad was with me. We got separated when we were ambushed. I'm not sure if they escaped or not."

*Gavin's gaze turned away from her for a moment.* "No, I'm no Jedi." *His words were empty but he made no attempt to speak further on it. After a moment his gaze return to her.* "Do you know where they may be? You need medical attention. I've stopped the bleeding, but you are in pretty bad shape. Perhaps your friends can do more for you. Or I can take you to the Temple and see what they can do, or find a clinic around here. Whatever the choice, we should get you off the street. From your statement about slavers, I take it you didn't end up this way by accident."

Terra entered the back room where the old man was waiting for her. The room itself was dimly lit and a bit cramped with many old crates stacked around in odd places. Still, there was a little bit of open space in the center, with two chairs, one of which was occupied by the old man. He raised one arm, beckoning towards the empty seat.
"Please, sit down."
Terra slowly sat down, drink still in hand, hoping Anshara was nearby in case the old man sprung the trap. She could already tell that in any kind of fight, she wouldn't stand a chance against him straight up."What do you know about me? How do you know I've lost my memories?"
"Patience, child. First of all, how much do you remember about your life?"First thing was first: He wanted to know if she remembered anything. Hopefully nothing about him or his apprentice, and if she did recall any of that, well than this would certainly be interesting. For now, he would keep the hood over his face, just in case she did recall...
Terra was a little unnerved by how he had referred to her as 'child', but she shook it off."Just my childhood...nothing else."
The old man slowly stroked his chin as she revealed what she remembered. It confirmed his suspicion that his mind wipe hadn't been entirely successful, though he knew full well whose fault that was. More on that later...
He leaned forwards just a little, yellow eyes visible beneath the hood as he looked over at the young woman sitting across from him.
"Well then...allow me to fill in the gaps. The old man leaned back in his seat."To start...you were taken off Nar Shaddaa when you were around nine years old...by my apprentice. It was my wish that he train you in the ways of the Force."
Terra knew from her occasional nightmares that she must have been trained in the dark side at some point in her life. She didn't say anything just yet, waiting for the old man to elaborate further.
"My apprentice was, to be frank, a fool. He trained you to be his weapon, one to eventually against me. Oh, I saw it coming...treachery is the nature of the Sith after all...Terra couldn't be sure, but it almost sounded like he was...bitter. About his apprentice, maybe?
The old man continued."Still...I let your training continue, if only because I foresaw your eventual rebellion...and that my fool of a former apprentice would never expect you to break free of his control. Which of course you did. Even I knew when I first saw you that you were strong of mind and will. My foolish apprentice would never be able to break you fully..."Ignoring the shocked look on Terra's face, he kept going."Well...to make a long story short, you did rebel. Just before he sent you on a mission to your wretched homeworld is when you turned on him. From what I understand, it was quite a battle. That is when I decided to intervene at last. Of course...things did not go as planned..."The old man closed his eyes and exhaled.
Terra had long prepared herself for the day that she would learn the truth, but it did little to lessen the shock of the realization that she had been trained in such a way. It did explain her nightmares, and how she had been able to retrain so quickly. Except, how had she gotten on that shuttle? None of this explained how she had woken up on a shuttle orbiting Tatooine with no memory of getting there."I...I remember waking up on a shuttle over Tatooine. It's the first thing I remember after my childhood. How exactly did I get there?"

From your statement about slavers, I take it you didn't end up this way by accident." *Not a Jedi. Kaytra found this strange since he mentioned being in a temple. Pushing the thought from her mind she shook her head.* "No, not an accident. I got separated from the group when the slavers boxed us in a hangar. We got out of the hangar, but I ran into a slaver that seemed to know my fighting style and weaknesses. I didn't stand a chance." *Her mind drifted back to her squad mates and where they'd be now.* "If they got out of those tunnels, then their probably at my ship. There's a hangar not to far from here. That's where it's should be at. If it's gone, then there most likely off planet, believing I'm dead." *She bit her lower lip at the thought of going to clinic on Coruscant.* "I'd rather find a clinic that's not really around here, or doesn't ask to many questions. My friends and I aren't exactly welcome on Coruscant. We...work for GALSAF. Their not exactly the best of friends with the Republic right now."

*Gavin nodded. He had heard mentions of the GALSAF from Ael Jade and that the Jedi and Republic were too happy with them. But he knew not of the true actions that had brought this about, nor did it matter. This girl needed help and he would not turn her away despite her connections. He himself had been looked down upon and questions for his connections and beliefs and would not become as they were.* "A slaver who knew your style and weakness? I would think someone has been keeping tabs on you then. That is quite a threat, indeed."
*Reaching down, he moved to pick her up, slow and watchful unsure of how she'd take it.* "Then a clinic in the underworld would be your only solution unless I get you off planet. They tend not to ask many question with paid the right price. Maybe we can find a way to get in touch with your friends and get you out of here before you find any more trouble."

*Kaytra gave a nod at his statement.* "True, if they've been keeping tabs on me then they must be keeping tabs on everyone else." *She didn't protest when Gavin lifted her off the ground. This was the only way to get her out of here and she wasn't exactly walking by herself.* "The underworld is a good choice. But if I can get off world, then it would be harder for those slavers to find me if they realize that I'm still alive. Also it would make contacting my friends easier. They wouldn't have to slip back onto the planet to get me. That is..if it's an option anyway."

*Gavin nodded and began walking, his eyes ever watchful should anyone decide to try and attack.* "Fortunately, I have just purchased a ship recently. So that is definitely an option. But it'll be a bit of a trip. It's sitting in the hangers in the Galactic City. Any place you'd prefer heading?"

*Kaytra was glad to hear that Gavin was willing to help her get off world. She began to think of all the places she could go that she would be safe, the list was pretty short.* "Not to many places left that wouldn't know about us. Probably somewhere they'd never think of looking for me." *A thought then dawned on her. Hiding on a planet that wasn't GALSAF friendly would be a good place to lay low. Also she could probably try to heal old wounds, or at least clear her own name.* "Well..maybe Yavin IV. GALSAF didn't really have the best turn of events there. Maybe I can at least get off their list if I explain my side of the story."

*Gavin nodded.* "I heard about that. The Jedi and Republic didn't seem too fond of them for that. But if that's where you want to go, it's where I'll take you."

"Alright then. Yavin it is. First, I need to stop by the Temple to pick something up."*Getting to an open area, he signaled for a taxi. The wait was short before one finally came and landed. He helped get Kaytra inside then fitted himself in. He could tell the driver had questions running through his mind and Gavin passed him up some credits to keep him quiet.* "I need to get to the Jedi Temple." *With a nod, the drive took off.*

Nathaniel walks out into the street outside the Outlander Club, the droid he was following seems to have disappeared into the crowd. Walking through the streets he lets his grim appearance blend in with the scum that flows around him like scummy water. He heads to a turbo-lift that would take him back to the 'surface' city. Being this low down holds its own claustrophobia, not that Nathaniel feels that fear, but he can certainly sense it's affect on the people around him, even if they don't remain conscious of it.

Don, Sven, the mercs and the doctor emerged first from the ship. The co-pilot was clad in his beskar'gam with buyce on for the occasion. He met with the representative who was waiting for them at the docking platform. Steam rose from around the ship, the dim light in the dark port casting a sinister glow. The rep looked like a cyborg. He was alone. Vee couldn't tell what they were discussing. She promised Don she would remain upon the ship and would take off with or without them at the first sign of trouble. As such, the ship wasn't powered down yet.Vee's hands tightened on the controls as she watched Don from the cockpit. He was motioning to the ship and indiscriminately into the air as he spoke, clearly emphasizing something. The cyborg was nodding with an expressionless face and arms crossed.
Vee jumped at the loud ping of her com. Drika. Without removing her eyes from Don's form, Vee answered.
Hey Drika, everything ok?
Vee!She sounded relieved. We saw what happened on the holonet, we were so worried about you!
Vee mentally slapped herself. I'm sorry...I didn't want to worry you. I was going to call...
Is Don with you?
At that exact moment, Don turned to her with a thumbs up. Vee could almost see the grin behind his buyce. The corners of her mouth lifted slightly. 'lek, he is. He's talking to the rep now, it looks like everything's good.
There was a little static as Drika exhaled a breath. Oh good...you're safer when you stick together.
Vee pursed her lips. Drika...you know Don and I aren't dating, right?
There was a long pause. Aren't you?
Vee blinked in surprise at the disappointment that seemed to lace Drika's words. No...I mean, I know he comes around a lot, but we're just friends. Partners.
Again there was silence on the line. Vee watched as Don lightly jogged back to the ship. He's so much like Todon...I know you still miss him...I thought for sure you and Don were...
Vee's pink mouth parted slightly as it clicked. Oh. My. Kad....
Suddenly her brain reviewed everything about Don, from his sense of humor and lust for life to his brazen attitude and the way he comforted her. How had she not seen it before? That one innocent observation suddenly made her view Don in a different light.Don was clambering up the gangplank now. Vee's mouth had gone dry.
Vee? Drika's voice pulled her out of her musing.
I need to go, Don's coming back. I'll com you before we head back, ok?
Be safe.
Vee cut the connection just as Don was entering the cockpit. Looks like we're ready to go, Red. He had removed his buyce and was smiling broadly. I commed Jeev while I was down there, everything checks out. We can just grab our shit and leave the boat with them. Jeev''s going to send us transport back to Mandalor, but we have a day or two before they show up.
Snap out of it...
Vee nodded. Great. She began powering down the ship properly, using that as an excuse to avoid Don's brown eyes. She heard him step closer behind her.
Hey...everything ok? You get enough sleep? One of his gauntleted hands gently rested on her shoulder. Vee's hands shook slightly as she resisted the urge to brush it off.
Yeah, I'm good. she lied. Sven and the mercs? Dr. Matango?
Don removed his hand. Yea, I let them know on the way up here. The mercs are already off, Sven and the doctor are grabbing their stuff.
Vee nodded, finally no longer having an excuse to avoid him. She turned around with a tight smile. Great...what do we do next?

The Doc awoke feeling like he had been hit by a flying bantha, long story involving a very mad jedi woman. Reaching for the pill bottle Ronin threw a few back, probably more than he should have. Sitting up brought a light headedness, he waited a few moments before getting up and shuffling to his bag. Rummaging he finally found the syringe full of a mixed concoction he had made up on the way here. His ribs though reset hadn't fully healed, and what he shot up would mask any hint of pain if it came to a fight. The fluid spread through his body like liquid fire, before becoming like ice. His muscles relaxed, all pain seemed to vanish and a pep in his step seemed to appear and grow. Truth be told this was only a temp fix good for only a few hour and once he came down he'd need to shoot up again or stay out of commission for a few days to recover.
Suiting up he placed the .48 in the holster in his lower back, his wrist blades went back into place, his tan coat went on last to help cover everything. The saber that had been broken down into a dozen unsuspecting objects were all in place in case if he actually needed to quickly put it together. As ready as he'd ever be Ronin left his room and made his way for the cockpit. His mind reaching out to touch the familiar presence in the cargo hold to assure it was still there, with it safely stored away still Ronin reached out to the surrounding areas, had they been followed?
Nothing came back, no other force users in the area were felt, a sigh of relief escaped his lips betraying his demeanor. As he approached the cockpit door he gave it a quick knock

Nearly a kilometer away and resting comfortably on the balcony of a nondescript apartment sat a grey-furred feline with a rifle, watching the newly arrived ship intently as he cleaned the weapon in his lap. He held no electrobinoculars or viewscreens, but the obvious cybernetic replacement that took the place of his left eye provided an easy answer to the question of how he was able to see the group that exited the ship. This particular vantage point also afforded him a view inside the cokcpit of the vessel, and he was thoroughly amused by the all too obvious awkwardness between the female pilot and her compatriot. "Just get a room already..."
His tail flicked back and forth impatiently as he laid aside the rag he'd been using and selected a long rod from the cleaning instruments next to him, wrapping another cloth around the end before sliding it down the rifle's barrel. Can't let the carbon build up too much, you know. Throws off the accuracy.
His comlink chimed as the cockpit door began to slide open, and he sent the call to his headset without taking his eyes off the ship.
"Miatzho here."
Report.
"The mercs left on their own, which leaves Kad, the redhead, Sven, and the Doc with the cargo."
You will refer to him as Don, and refrain from mentioning anything you saw in his file in the future. As far as you know, he's just another mark.
"Got it, boss. What next?"
Maintain surveillance. I'll be in touch when the time comes.
The call clicked off and Kano sighed as he pulled the headset from his ear. This Shadow King sure was a slippery bastard, and he began to wonder just how long he'd have to put up with this charade before he got his shot.

The verification with the rep was surprisingly effortless. I made Red promise me to stay at the controls inside the ship while Sven, the mercs and the doc covered me outside. I wanted the doc to stay with Vee, but the damn woman fought me tooth and nail on it. I guess it's nice to know you're cared about, right? But I was prepared this time. I had my suit on, I was alert and I was informed. Unless they had a fucking army or some seriously heavy machinery, this wasn't a situation I couldn't deal with on my own, much less with my cousin's training and the goon mercs...so long as they listened.
But nothing happened. Absolutely nothing. As always, I felt eyes on me. I always felt eyes on me. But that was normal. The Collective had been keeping tabs on me ever since I 'resigned'. At first I was paranoid and took all the precautions to avoid their survelliance. When it quickly became clear they had no intention of terminating me I reluctantly stopped bothering with my efforts. Every now and again I'd flip the bird with a smile in the direction I figured their agent was in, but it'd been 6 years and I was over it. I would probably always have a tail on me and, as long as they didn't mess with my family, I came to accept that. Of course they wouldn't dare try anything with my kin...stirring up trouble on Concord Dawn would be an absolute nightmare. The Collective didn't create a hassle where none was needed. I was keeping my nose clear, there was no reason for any alarm. No reason to take out their prized asset.
As big of an ego I have, I knew I was. I met and then exceeded their expectations. I not only was placed into their little nonexistent program, but I quickly became their top operative in said program. Number of failed missions? Zero. 97.8% rate of kills completed. No one even came close to matching me. I broke the back of the last agent who tried. In all fairness, it wasn't my fault. But that didn't make hearing, feeling and seeing my violent handiwork any less satisfying. Didn't take the joy out of the fight either. I just got to point to Z and say, "He started it!"...and who stirs up shit matters in the organization. If it weren't for my employers, I would have gone ahead and killed Zion in the most creative way possible. But that would be taking it too far...and it would be too obvious (but really, they have my psych eval, what can they honestly expect?). I would definitely get more than a slap on the wrist for murdering Zion.
I clambered my way into the ship after briefly informing ner vod of what was going on. The weight of the haul lifted off my chest. I was excited to spend a little time in the city. Party it up. Coruscant wasn't Zeltros, but it also wasn't Mandalore. Time to have a little fun. As soon as I entered the cockpit, however, I knew something was wrong. It was easy to tell. Red wasn't very good at hiding her feelings, and in my line of work I had become excellent at sensing and reading others. I was especially accurate about hers, given the amount of time we've spent together and the fact that, well, I'm in love with her and pay attention to these little intricacies because of it.
Her mood had suddenly shifted and all in the space of the 15 minutes it took for me to verify with the buyer's rep. Osik. My only guess was this was about Sven. To that I had no way of helping any more than I already had. I would do what I always did when Red was miffed about something: nothing. Sure, I would pick at her, but I knew when to back off. She would tell me in her own good time what the matter was. She always did. As far as I could tell, I was her only close friend. She eventually told me everything.
I was about to answer her question when her eyes skirt mine. That wasn't good. This wasn't about Sven. This had something to do with me. The only time she didn't look me in the eye is if it was about me. I quickly racked my brain for any transgression I had committed recently, but could find none she would take issue with. Instead of answering her question, I tilt my head and gave her a once over as I leaned back out of her space. "What's going on, Red?" I asked quietly, but not unkindly. The corners of my mouth hinted a smile as I tried to lighten the mood. "What did I do this time?"
She had been on a comlink call when I gazed up at her during my meeting, but I didn't see how that could correlate with me. If it was something about my job or family, she would just tell me. Her pink mouth opened, then shut, those beautiful blue-green eyes of hers attempting to look up at me, but failing. I frowned now. "Vee..." I hedged cautiously. "What is it?"
Her full lips parted to respond when there was suddenly a knock upon the cockpit door. I silently cursed. She, of course, jumped on the distraction, brushing past me. "Enter!" she called. I sighed as I sat heavily in my co-pilot seat. I wasn't looking forward to whatever it was she was withholding from me.

The good doctor entered in full gear popping another pain pill in his mouth, a shit eating grin that had been on his face mirroring that of a young child who snuck a few cookies behind his mother's back and gotten away with it. This melted away as he was met with the sight of Don decked out in whatever you wished to call it, and Vee wearing a very lovely form fitting outfit. Had it not been for the drugs in his system he may have been a bit more professional, as it was the buzz hadn't leveled off leaving him not himself, and his eyes lingered a moment too long. Snapping a quick salute and clearing his throat Ronin tried to move on an throw up the guise of being professional.
"Ello captain, lovely voyage we've had thus far eh?"
A bit of an accent betrayed him, and showed how good he might be feeling.

Vee was happy for the distraction. She was dangerously close to saying something stupid, one way or the other. She didn't know how she really felt, but suddenly the universe had gone sideways. Don was suddenly more. She just didn't understand what that meant yet.
Indeed, doctor. She crossed her arms and leaned back, noticing the Ronin's slightly off behavior...which made her even more glad they hadn't been attacked. It was great working with you, perhaps our paths will cross again someday.
Behind her, Don shifted in the his co-pilot chair. It sounded unusually loud, emphasizing the increasingly awkward silence.
