*Kaytra watched as the Gamorrean hit the ground and rolled to a stop. She couldn't help but laugh at the medic's accent and sudden - or worsening - displeasure of the cantina.* "Well maybe it's not so bad on the inside. Either way, I think I might like it here. Easier for someone like me to blend in." *She glanced sideways just in time to see Shepard roll his eyes. Without another word, Kaytra made her way into the cantina. Just like Mirian had said. The place was not exactly the safest looking, then again that was to be expected in the undercity. Several eyes glanced their direction before returning to theirs drinks or conversations. Without stopping, she made her way to the bar, as the others filtered their way in to avoid drawing attention. Kaytra sat down at the bar, her eyes slowly cast glances around at the patrons.* "Far corner of the room. There's a Weequay sitting at that corner booth." *She whispered in a low voice. Shepard was on her left. As she spoke he used his glass as a mirror to spot the target.* "He seems pretty interested in us. Might be our informant."
Mirian lightly shouldered a patron on her way in, though she was the one that bounced off while the patron barely noticed her even colliding with him, "Sorry..." she said.Next, she bumps into another patron, "Sorry!" And finally crashed face-first into an alien's back, from a race that grows them big, and completely unknown to her. Maybe he's the one who threw the Gamorrean. He didn't even notice that someone as light as Mirian had bumped him, "Sorry!" She said anyway. She finally made it to the bar and lightly slapped her bare palm on the flat surface.
She regretted doing that immediately.
The pain shot up all along her right arm and she withdrew the hand to shake it about painfully. She had the bartender's attention now though."Something lame, pathetic and absolutely non-alcoholic." She said in her lilting voice and Coruscanti accent.
The bartender arched her eyebrows, and then rolled her eyes. The kinds of patrons you can get around here, huh?

*Kaytra raised an eyebrow at what Mirian ordered.* "Not much of a drinker are you?" *She turned her attention back to the Weequay. He had yet to take his eyes off the group. This made Kaytra slightly nervous. The contact they were waiting for was Twi'lek, not a Weequay. She drummed her fingers on the counter for a moment before gazing around the room again. Now that she noticed it, several other beings had been staring at them. None looking to friendly either. This observation hadn't gone unnoticed, several other commandos had also picked up on the stares. Kaytra leaned towards Mirian and began to whisper a warning to the medic. She didn't have time though. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the Weequay stand and pull out a blaster. Taking quick aim, he fired at the medic. Reacting instinctively, Kaytra tackled the Mirian to the ground a split second before the blaster bolt hit the bar where the medic sat. As one, the rest of the commandos raised the rifles to open fire, at the same time around a dozen other beings raised theirs, it was now a stand off. Kaytra looked up from where she lay on top of the medic, almost pinning her to the floor. She quickly realized that they had walked into a trap. She didn't look down at the medic as she spoke in a low voice.* "Slowly stand up when I do. Don't make any sudden moves." *The tension was thick in the air as each side squared off. The remaining patrons in the cantina either tried to keep out of the way or quickly made for the exit. By now the GALSAF commandos had formed a small semicircle, all the while moving slowly towards the door. Kaytra slowly stood and pulled out her blaster, she didn't raise it, but kept it at the ready. The Weequay boldly moved forward and scanned the group. He did not speak but gave a small nod. The group of thugs with him went to pull their triggers, unfortunately for them the GALSAF commandos were faster. As one the squad fired, their blaster rounds hit their targets, taking down most of the group.* "Move!" *She yelled, grabbing Mirian by the arm, she pushed her towards the door. The rest of the commandos had already started backing up, laying down suppressing fire.* "Move!"

The bartender had just handed Mirian a drink that actually looked drinkable, and one that wasn't liable to melt a hole through the table. She had felt the tension in the air rising quickly, and realized too late she was letting the Force flow through her again, and the Force was practically screaming danger in her brain. But why did she ignore it? Because as she told Kaytra, this place was a death-trap, so her every instinct told her this place was not a place to be, especially Mirian Santiro, formerly Sif-Tri Galina, a Goofy Knight. So she was just sipping her drink, when Kaytra was just about leaning over to whisper something besides her comment about Mirian not being much of a drinker, of course she wasn't, alcohol kills her. Next thing she knew, she was being tackled down to the ground hard. "GaaAAAH!"
The bartender screamed and dropped to the floor, but not before hitting the blast-shields surrounding the bar during situations like this. Looking around from an upside-down angle, with Kaytra pinning her where she lay, Mirian could see non-combat patrons fleeing the bar. They weren't overly panicked, like this actually happens on a regular basis. Oh wait, it's the Underglow, of course it happens on a regular basis. She tilted her head back to see the place where she was sitting moments ago, there was a smoking crater in the bar right where she was, and that made Mirian's knees go weak as she realized how close to death she came. Then she noticed the remains of her drink, which was quite gloriously spilled all over Kaytra's head. Because she was pinned at the arms, Mirian could only move her forearms, and pointed at Kaytra's head, "You got juice all over your hair. Lots of vitamins."
Mirian does that when panicky and in a high-stress situation. Nothing unusual. When told to slowly stand up, the girl obediently nodded and slowly stood up, looking around. Now that she was standing, she had a better view. Oh look, that big alien she crashed into just now is now pointing guns at them. Joy. She slowly withdrew her...Tooey? Yep, Mirian was withdrawing her Durasteel R2-Series Astromech Droid miniature replica hug-me doll from where she'd clipped it to her belt and held it possessively, while her more useful S-5 Heavy Blaster pistol hung in its holster on her right thigh. Variss Oka slowly siddled over to Mirian when the Weequay made a motion, and the thugs opened fire. Trained for this (except Mirian apparently), the commandos lay down suppressing fire, forcing the shooters to take cover or be shot to bits. Variss took a shot to her shoulder, though her armor absorbed the worst of the damage. Still, it was significant.
Kaytra was shouting and pushing Mirian out the door. "This is why I don't like this place!" Mirian struggled with her hug-me doll's head, and pried it open, turning the doll over, she poured out what looked like a round canister with a shiny red button on one end. Pushing the button, Mirian turned around and hurled it back inside the bar. Smoke soon engulfed the entire area.
That's one useful Hug-me doll.

Well it was quite clear from her response that one or more of the blocks he had placed on her memories all that time ago were still there. A pity that there hadn't been enough time to erase everything, but then if there had, they wouldn't be having this conversation right now. There was much he would have to fill her in on...if she was willing to listen. If not...well then this was going to get ugly. But that would suit him just fine as well. If the Jedi had tainted her beyond repair, then it would be best to purge her..."Meet me in that back room in five minutes, and I will...reveal what you've been seeking. And if you truly want to know about your past, then come alone." This would be delicate enough without the Zeltron intervening. With that, the old man began to shuffle away towards a small room near the back of the cantina.
Terra watched him go, aware that this was probably, nay, definitely a trap. He would trap her alone and then Force knows what would happen. She wasn't stupid enough to think for a second that there wasn't something up here. And yet, if he really did know about her past, then this was her chance to finally uncover the mysteries about herself. Not to mention the whole reason they were here was to reveal and destroy the alchemy lab. Despite the obvious trap, they had to find away to get inside.
She turned to Nik."I'm going after him..." She glanced around the room again, unable to see Anshara, but she hoped the other girl was close by. The hooded man had told Terra to come alone, but she didn't intend to walk into a trap without backup. Anshara could probably stay close by and hidden should the worst happen. She lowered her voice a little."Anshara can stay close by in case anything happens...um...we'll probably need an escape route..." She trailed off, figuring Nik would understand that she wanted him to be here to clear a path in case they needed to retreat.
Taking a deep breath, she took her drink in her hand and slowly made her way to the back room... Anshara breathed through and focused more on becoming a shadow. She allowed herself to fully step aside and close off to her emotions. Getting into a rather meditative state, the world turned grey, the sounds were like through a blanket but at the same time her senses seemed to sharpen. Right now she was unable to use any other powers than concealing herself but on the other hand only a Stygium crystal could amplify her abilities. Well she could have digged deeper but she knew that further down she could lose herself. The way she had learned to conceal her presence was close to becoming willingly one with the Force and going too far was a certain ticket to do so. She looked at the hooded man and followed him not waiting for Terra. Now the mission was more important. She kept close to make sure she would pass through the door avoiding physical contact with anyone around her. The Force whispered to her but she ignored it.

Pushing the button, Mirian turned around and hurled it back inside the bar. Smoke soon engulfed the entire area.
That's one useful Hug-me doll. *Kaytra watched the Hug-me doll explode into a cloud of smoke, temporally blinding their attackers. She couldn't help but grin at Mirians cleverness with the device. But she didn't have time to compliment the medic, as now several more attackers appeared from the side streets trying to cut off their retreat. Without warning the lead commando cut left and was quickly followed by the others, Kaytra didn't have to question the decision, directly in front of them was a small group of thugs blocking their path. The lead commando took them down a narrow alleyway, at the end of the alleyway was a small service door. Kaytra watched as the first two commandos reached the small door and pried it open. Without slowing down the rest of the team piled in and the door was forced closed behind them.*
*Kaytra watched as several commandos pushed a large crate in front of the door, blocking off the entrance. She then turned her attention to the room they had just entered. They stood in an old warehouse filled with rusted droid parts, dusty crates and ancient looking equipment. The dim glow of street lamps filtered in through the dusty windows, barely illuminating the room. She turned to face the group, everyone was already fanning out to search the area while a Nautolan commando took position at the door the just entered, peeking through a crack in the door.* "All clear. They haven't entered the alleyway yet." *He whispered. Kaytra gave a nod. Pulling a canteen from her pack, she unscrewed the cap and began to quickly rinse the juice that Mirian had spilled all over her head back at the cantina. She turned to the women and motioned for her to come over.* "Do you know where we're at? We can't stay her for long." *A low voice called down to her from a catwalk by the window. She looked up to see a commando standing by a window. He was looking out through a patch he had cleared the dust from.* "I'd give us about two minutes, three tops, before they surround this building. They already have people forming around the main entrance. To many for us to take head on." *Kaytra finished with her canteen and put it away. She then pulled out her comlink and sent a message to Asha to get The Sun Dog ready for a fast take off. Her attention then fell back on Mirian.* "Alright. You heard him, we have less then two minutes to get out of here."

Mirian rubbed her still-existing hug-me doll worriedly with a thumb as she analyzed the situation. They were in an old storehouse, and it looked like it belonged to the Freem Brothers Enterprises, which when last she recalled was within walking distance from Underglow. Her eyes darted about the place, looking at the commandos, the objects in the room, and then at the door. She wasn't a strategist, not even back when she was a Jedi, and the less said about her time as a Knight, the better. That was really more something to laugh and ridicule. But Kaytra had essentially thrust Mirian into the role of a tactician now, and despite the old adage of "Do or do not, there is no try..." Mirian begged to differ. She can try something.
Even if it might result in death, namely hers. She always prefered flight over fight, but sometimes, if you're backed against the wall - like right now - then there was no choice. And somehow this so-called information exchange had turned into an all-out murder attempt, and the numbers were certainly stacked against them.
But they weren't thoroughly licked just yet. The Freem Brothers engaged mostly in the sale of droids, maintenance and mechanics. Though they'd gone out of business sometime back, it looked like a lot of their wares and products were just sitting in here rusting away. Might as well put them to good use, but she might need more than two minutes.
"Okay..." she said calmly, but her twitching left hand and the erratic movements of her thumb rubbing over her hug-me doll made her look tense. "...okay, forget about worrying whether we're going to get swamped. We will, I'll need that much time to prepare things anyway. This is a storehouse that belonged to the Freem Brothers. They were droid salesmen and mechanics. See those bulk loader droids and service droids? They've got humanoid hands and fingers, which is good, some of you need to give them your weapons, primary or sidearms, it doesn't matter."
She marched over to one of the hulking bulk loader droids and inspected it. While not in tip-top condition, it was still working, with an ancient but still functioning power source. Good. Next, she scampered over to a clearing in the room, and stomped on the floor a few times, creating a slightly hollow noise. Better. She looked up at the commandos. "There's an old service shaft below this building. There used to be a trapdoor, but it looks like they sealed it over. The material is flimsy enough though. If we can get in, we won't have to fight our way through that little army out there, we can get out. It'll lead all the way to two floors above us, and then opens up - hopefully - into a clearing in the Toranyk Gardens."
Reaching into her backpack, Mirian found a sonic mine, which was left over from a previous mission and she had failed to clear her bag of ordinance, now that was a saving grace. Not quite as potent as a thermal detonator, but then again, Mirian would prefer to get out of here intact. A thermal detonator was liable to blow everything sky high. And with Mirian's proclivity for disasters, such a weapon was a very bad idea to begin with.
There was one other problem. Not everyone knew Mirian was a Force-Sensitive. In fact, as far as she knew, no one present was aware of her past as a Jedi. But desperate times called for desperate measures, and she was more interested in keeping everyone alive, save for herself. She looked up at everyone, time to take charge, so to speak. "Variss, help me get those droids activated, kick them in the chest if they don't start up straight away, but not too hard. The rest of you, same thing. And take out your sidearms or primary weapons, you're going to give it to the droids."
She stood up and gave a serious look all around, "Please don't tell anyone what you're about to see..."
She drew her lightsaber, and for once, it actually ignited without malfunctioning. Sticking the yellow-green blade into the ground, Mirian began to cut through the flooring in record time, and then placed the sonic mine right in the center. She set the mine to explode on a trigger in her hand. Hiding her lightsaber once more, she then turned towards the heavy crates, far too heavy even for a group effort to move. Reluctantly, Mirian gave herself to the Force, silently pleading with the Force not to let anything bad happen to the commandos. If it must, let it be her. She reached out towards the heavy crates, full of equipment, and the Zelosian commando gasped as she saw the crates, plural, began to float up, and Mirian moved her trembling hands, making the crates follow the direction of her palms, and dropped them heavily in front of the only door in or out of the storehouse. Sweating, Mirian looked over at Kaytra wearily, "That'll...hold them off...a while longer...I hope."
She glanced over to the commandos who were activating the droids, some of the bulk loader droids visual receptors were lit up, having been activated. She marched over to the droids which were slowly getting to their feet. "Droids!" she barked, and the droids turned to look at her. "We need your help, your masters have given us permission for this request."
It was a tricky bluff, and Mirian wasn't good with lying in all honesty, but one of the large droids stepped forward on heavyset legs, :: How may we assist you today? ::
Mirian heaved a sigh of relief and took out her Galsaf-issue blaster rifle, and handed it to the droid. "There's people outside this building. Very bad people. Wherever there's an opening for you, shoot at them. You don't have to actually shoot them, but shoot at them anyway."
The reason why she gave that extra order was because it occured to her that these droids might be programmed with the three laws that prohibited them from harming any living sentient, or any living being for that matter. So the next best thing she could manage was to order the droids to shoot in the general direction of the people attacking the commandos. "This order goes out to all of you."
Mirian turned to the commandos, "Whatever you're willing to part with, but let them have something to use to shoot."
Turning back to Kaytra, she said, "Whenever you're ready, I can blow that hole, we all go in, and I'll pull a crate over us. The droids will buy us some time, and by the time they do get in, if they're that determined, then it'll take them a while to figure out where we went, by which time I'm hoping we're off-planet."

*Kaytra gave a grin at the medics plan and patted her on the shoulder.* "That sounds like a plan." *She pulled out her own heavy blaster pistol and handed it to one of the active droids. She felt a little hesitant though at the droids ability to use the blaster. It was then she heard the sound of a lightsaber coming to life, turning quickly she saw Mirian cutting a hole through the floor with a yellow-green bladed lightsaber. That wasn't all though, the smaller women then proceeded to move a large number of containers with the force. Kaytra was unaware that their medic was a force user, she'd have to look into that later. Quickly pulling her mind back to the task, she stepped up beside Mirian.* "We all have secrets. I guess some are bigger then others." *She then turned her gaze to the women beside her.* "Don't worry. I won't tell."
*Kaytra turned and looked over the small group of droids, then to the commandos. She let out a sigh and turned to Mirian.* "Lets do this." *Before she could take a step forward an amplified voice shouted from outside. Kaytra glanced up at the commando watching from the window.* "What do you see." *The commando never took his eyes off the window when he spoke.* "It's our Weequay friend from the cantina. Looks like he's trying to get a message to us." *Kaytra was about to ask what kind of message, but she didn't have long to wait when the Weequays voice carried into the building.* "GALSAF commandos! That's right, I know who you are. I'm the one who called you here! You may now be wondering why, so I'll be short. You killed my brother! I doubt you even knew his name. He was just like me though, an honest man running a slaving business, and you killed him! So now I'm going to trade your blood for his. But also business is business and you're cutting pretty heavily into mine, and that's not good for business." *Kaytra turned to Mirian.* "Blow that thing. We need to get out of here fast."

She trailed off, figuring Nik would understand that she wanted him to be here to clear a path in case they needed to retreat.
Taking a deep breath, she took her drink in her hand and slowly made her way to the back room... Nik simply looked at her and then nodded, realizing that she had made up her mind. Also, she knew it was a trap judging from the way she felt hyper-alert in the Force. He smiled tightly and picked up his drink for all the world like he was simply out to have fun, though the hard cylinder of his lightsaber pressed against his lower leg where he'd put it in his boot earlier.
As Terra left, heading toward the back of the cantina, he caught a glimpse of Anshara, just a flicker, nothing more. Regardless of how untrained she might or might not be, she did know how to move like she belonged in the shadows. He appreciated that, in spite of a momentary flicker of something he thought might be---jealousy? It was gone in a flash, but he did not have to like the fact that she was with Terra, and he was out here. In terms of reality, the two of them together might have a better chance in there than he would out here when things went bad. But, he did not allow that to bother him.
Getting to his feet he automatically tugged his emerald green vest straight and picked up his drink. The Zeltron headed over towards the Sabacc tables, stepping around the automated dealer droids that hovered just behind the players. He carefully chose a position near the wall from which he could keep an unobtrusive eye on the exits, the door Terra had gone through, and the patrons in the establishment.
Then, he was also admirably placed to observe the game, which he did in silence for a few minutes, drinking his chilled Coruscant Sunrise. He ran a hand through his unruly auburn hair (a distinct color yes, but notably short of "flame red" thank the gods) and smiled faintly as the cards shifted to a round of curses and interspersed speculation.

*Kaytra turned and looked over the small group of droids, then to the commandos. She let out a sigh and turned to Mirian.* "Lets do this." *Before she could take another step forward, an amplified voice shouted from outside. Kaytra glanced up at the commando watching from the window.* "What do you see?" *The commando never took his eyes off the window when he spoke.* "It's our Weequay friend from the cantina. Looks like he's trying to get a message to us." *Kaytra was about to ask what kind of message, but she didn't have long to wait when the Weequay's voice carried into the building.* "GALSAF commandos!
"On it!" Mirian crushed the trigger with a vehement press of the button, and everyone dove for cover, save for the droids, which lumbered about to take up a place around any open vantage points where they might be able to carry out their rather unorthodox instructions. The audio explosion created shockwaves and a high-pitched piercing shrill sound that would quite likely kill an unprotected individual in close proximity to the mine. As it was, the commandos were barely spared the full effects of the mine despite taking cover and standing some distance away from it. Undoubtedly, the unfriendly folk beyond the doors would have heard that sound and wonder what's going on.
Mirian also pondered on the fact that they'd walked right into a trap, and how this particular slaver was highly influential, considering that he managed to amass a small army to take out the commandos. One thing she wondered about was whether the vengeful slaver realized that by taking down the commandos, he'd possibly bring a larger retaliation force on himself. Then again, most criminals don't think very far ahead.
The vibrations and shockwaves blew the already weakened flooring completely through, and now, a decently-sized hole was there, where the commandos, with their full gear could comfortably slide through and enter the shaft. Mirian stuck her head through the hole and glanced about, dim service lights illuminated the passage that they'd be taking. And the coast looked clear, save for rodents, goop, slime and various other unappetizing sights, but when had that bothered most commandos? She popped her head back up, "All right, guys, in here, it's clear."

*Kaytra felt the shock wave of the mine ripple through her, almost taking the wind right out of her lungs. She walked over to the hole when Mirian gave the all clear.* "Nice work. That will keep them guessing for a moment." *She waved the rest of the commandos down into the hole. Quickly they dropped down into the tunnel one by one and took up a defensive perimeter. Kaytra was about to drop down into the hole when the sound of a large blast shook the building and almost knocked her off her feet. She turned to see then doors to the warehouse had been completely blown off and a stream of blaster rounds began to pour in. This triggered the droids orders and they began to fire back. Almost immediately the room was filled with blaster fire. Kaytra turned to jump down into the tunnel when a loud crash came from in front of her. Looking up she saw a large crate fall off its supports and tumble towards her. With no time to dive into the hole, she dove sideways behind a cement support. The crate came crashing down on top of the hole, covering almost all of it. Hurrying forward, she found a small crack were she could see everyone down in the tunnel below. From inside the tunnel she heard Shepard voice.*
-Shepard- "Tatham! Are you alright?"
-Kaytra- "Yeah I'm fine!" *She trurned to see the droids dropping one by one from the blaster fire.* "For now at least."
*From her spot she could see the commandos hurrying to find a way to pry the crate off the hole. Kaytras mind quickly turned back to the battle as a blaster round nearly missed her head. Taking cover behind a pillar, she grabbed her comlink and called for Mirian.*
::Mirian! can you hear me? I need a new route out of here.:: *Kaytra peeked her head out around the corner to see the last of the droids fall and the slaver move like a mob into the room. Cautiously they began to fan out. Kaytra knew it was only a matter of time before they found her. Moving quickly, she slipped behind the fallen crate and began to make her way up the catwalk towards a window. With any luck it would go somewhere.*

"Whoah!" The petite young woman said as a particularly large commando barreled Mirian over in his hurry to get in, dropping her into the shaft with him, and she fell right into some...stuff. Unlike other commandos, Mirian wore little to no armor, so, she wasn't exactly impervious to...stuff. She stood up and looked at herself, "Oh bollocks!"
As soon as she said "bollocks", all hell broke loose, metaphorically speaking, as the raiders of the lost bark burst through the door with a blatant disregard for historical building preservation. She screamed as she watched the mother of all crates drop over the cover, and Kaytra narrowly missed being turned into the galaxy's largest amoeba. Shepard asked Kaytra if she was all right. And then Kaytra asked for an alternate route.
Well this got sticky too fast. Putting on her comlink into her right ear, she tried first to help her fellow commandos move the box, but she used the Force, much as she abhorred using it so much, but time was of the essence, so she tried with her waning strength in the mystical energy to move this one big crate, like she did the smaller ones. However... "Ugh! Too...heavy!"
She spoke into her comlink, :: Kaytra, this is the only way out! The other one is through that door, and under the current circumstances, that is not an option for you! Kaytra? Do you copy? ::

*Kaytra had made her way up the catwalk and leaned her back against a support beam. She peeked around the beam and watched as the group of slavers began to expand their search around the warehouse. Mirians voiced rang loudly in her ear telling her that she was out of options. Kaytra remained silent for a moment before speaking.*
::Yeah, I copy. I'll try finding another way out.:: *She quickly scanned the room for anything. Her eyes landed on an old ladder leading up to what looked like a service hatch to the roof. There was a problem though, between her and that ladder was a lot of open ground.* ::Mirian. There's a ladder that leads up to what looks like the roof. I'm going to make a run for it. Maybe it leads directly outside, or to the next level up.:: *Without waiting for a response she pushed off from the beam and sprinted towards the ladder. From below her she heard shouting, closely followed by a hail of blaster fire. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted a smaller figure dressed on black armor, similar to her commando armor, quickly gaining on her.*
*Turning her attention back to the ladder, she cleared the last few steps before jumping as high as she could and grabbed a hold of the rungs. Quickly she began to climb, her proshetics making quick work of the distance. She had almost made it to the top when a blaster round hit one of the ladders supports, blowing it apart. The ladder gave a loud groan and began to brake away from the wall and fall towards one of the big windows. Kaytra held on for dear life as the ladder crashed through the large window, cutting through the glass before coming to an abrupt stop on the window sill. The sudden stop knocked Kaytra off the ladder onto a roof ten feet below. The impact knocked the wind out of her and rattled her body. Rolling onto her back, she let out a sigh and hit her comlink.*
::Mirian. I made it out of the warehouse. Not in the way I wanted to, but I'm out.:: *She glanced up to the window to see a being clad in black armor just like hers standing in the window. The person was female, standing roughly the same height though slightly thinner but the same athletic build. The red glowing eyes of the persons helmet gazed down at Kaytra. In one swift movement she jumped from the window and landed gracefully on the roof below. Quickly staggering to her feet, Kaytra faced this new opponent.* ::Uumm...I may have a new problem.::

"Ferglutz!" Mirian swore at the last message to the commandos.
Variss, the Zelosian patted Mirian on the shoulder, trying to encourage her. "Hey, easy girl. What can we do?"
Mirian considered the options, thinking hard. Actually, thinking hard wasn't possible for her, she was just shuffling her mind through a variety of bad music that helped her process her thoughts and ideas into something utterly chaotic if anyone else was foolishly inclined to look into her mind at that point in time. "Can we blow this crate away and fight the Weequay?"
"Sure, absolutely." Variss Oka said, "After which we will frelling die to overwhelming fire from the enemy in less than half a second, and that's assuming one of them doesn't lobe a detonator down our shirts!"
"Well that's out then." Mirian sighed. "Okay, we move."
Reaching into her comlink again, Mirian prayed that whomever Kaytra was fighting wasn't going to be too difficult an opponent. :: Kaytra? Listen, we're going to try to rendezvous with you. You need to keep moving. On the west side of the storehouse is a service elevator. As dilapitated as it looks, it should still be working. Try and make your way there and take two floors up. We're going to the gardens now, and we'll meet you halfway. Over and out. ::
"Let's move people!" Mirian remained impressive right until she tripped over the tunnel entrance handle, and fell face-first into unmentionables. She spat and swore in such a variety of languages that even some Commandos arched their eyebrows. "Come on!"
She led everyone through a maze of tunnels, impressing everyone with her seeming knowledge of infrastructure. A lot of time passed however, and any number of things could have happened to Kaytra while they navigated the maze.

*Kaytra received Mirians message. Her eyes darted towards the other end of the warehouse she stood on. From her position she couldn't see the lift, but if Mirian said it was there, then it was there. Her eyes then turned back to the women in front of her, She was dressed in a similar variant of Katarn class armor as Kaytra owned, with several adjustments to suit the user. Kaytra knew she wasn't going to outrun her opponent, she would just have to slow them down enough to escape. Pulling herself into a defensive fighting poistion, Kaytra carefully began to size up her target, searching for any weakness she could exploit.*
*Without warning her target struck, and fast. Even with her augmented speed and prosthetic upgrades, Kaytra just barely deflected the vibro blade aimed for her face. She didn't have any time to let her guard down as her opponent changed the blades direction. Quickly ducking, Kaytra dodged the second attack as it swung just over her head. Pushing away, she took several steps back, putting some distance between her and the slaver.* "Alright, if this is how you want to do it.." *She activated the blades built into her forearms. The sheath holding the blades slid out of her forearms before the blades themselves extended out.* "Then lets play." *In on quick move she cleared the distance between her and her opponent. Kaytra had always been an excellent hand to hand combatant, but this opponent was something different. Every strike she threw at the attacker was either dodged or blocked, as if they knew her fighting style and how to defend against it. This made Kaytra uneasy, her fighting style was unique, one she learned from her family, not something the average slaver would know. She did have an advantage though, were her opponent was more flexible and slightly faster, Kaytra was stronger and more resistant to damage.* ::Mirian, where are you guys! This small problem has turned into a big one.I'm not sure if I can make it to the elevator.::
*Moving quickly to her left, Kaytra dodged another attack. It was then that she saw an opening on her targets back. Bringing the blade forward in a strong thrust, she tried to strike her opponents back. Only the opening was no longer there. She felt a sudden shock of realizing that the opening was actually a trap. Before she could move, the attackers blade rammed up through her left prosthetic forearm, clean through to the other side. The second it happened, Kaytra felt nearly all function of the arm cease, quickly followed by a boot to her chest. She stumbled backwards, barely keeping her footing. Grabbing the blade, she pulled it out and tossed it aside. She glanced down at the arm to see how much damage had been done. The blade had pierced through the central support, cutting of control to most of her hand and blade release. Cursing out loud she turned to her opponent only to see her already in in striking distance. Kaytra didn't have to properly defend herself. Instead she felt the sharp blade graze deep into her right shoulder. Kaytra let out a cry of pain that was cut short as she felt her legs get swept out from underneath her. Hitting the roof hard she tried to roll out of the way but wasn't quick enough as a strong kick to the stomach sent her sliding across the roof.*
*Kaytra reached out to grab anything to slow her down as she slid across the sloped roof. Her hand finally found purchase that brought her to a stop. Problem was it was the edge of the roof. She now found herself dangling from the building, almost two stories up. Her right hand was barely holding on as her shoulder scream in pain. She glanced from the injury that was now turning her shirt red with blood, then up to the roof. crouching at the edge of the roof was her opponent, the one who had bested her. Closing her eyes, Kaytra mumbled into her comlink.* ::Mirian. I'm sorry. I'm not going to make it to the elevator.:: *She stared into the women's eyes as her attacker thrust the dagger into Kaytras hand. Kaytras prothsetic hand automaticaly let go, sending her towards the ground below. As Kaytra fell, she hit several more objects, rangeing from pipes to pillar supports, each inflicting damage of their own. Finally she hit the ground with a loud thud, only death did not greet her battered and bruised body, only unconsciousness.*
-Shepard- *Shepard hurried after Mirian. He knew each second that went by could determine life or death. As her ran he could hear Kaytras apology to Mirian over the comlink. He felt a sinking pit in his stomach as he feared what would happen next. This fear was confirmed as he watched Kaytras vitals on his HUD go from active to deceased several seconds later. His pace speed up a bit as he caught up with Mirian. He placed a hand on her shoulder, bringing her to a stop. He wasn't entirely sure if Mirian knew what just happened, but he knew they couldn't risk themselves now if Kaytra was dead. The rest of the team was battered, bruised and in no way armed enough to take on such a fight. He hated this decision but it was one that he had to make.* ::Mirian. We need to get back to the ship, the rest of us, the ones in this tunnel. We can no longer help Leftenant Tatham.::

Mirian was about to respond to Kaytra when she entered an area in the shafts that made communication garbled. They were almost at the gardens, when Kaytra's ominous final message came through, that she wasn't going to make it. Her small Tactical Optic lens showed her a similar display to the HUDs that the other commandos had in their Katarn-class commando armors. And she didn't want to accept what it showed her until she saw herself.
"No..." Her voice was barely a whisper, "No!"
:: Kaytra? Come in, Kaytra. Kaytra! Please respond! ::
Variss Oka placed a hand on Mirian's shoulder, "I'm sorry, doctor, but Shepard's right. We have to go back. Tatham's gone. We don't like it, but it happens."
"Blast your eyes!" Mirian shouted angrily, and shook off the Zelosian's hand, "You go back then, I can find my own way. I need to find out for sure. I can almost feel her in the Force. She's not dead."
"Mirian, be reasonable! We need you right now! More than ever." Variss pleaded desperately, enough to make Mirian hesitate. "I don't know much about this Force - hell, I don't think most of us knew you did - but the Life Monitors don't lie, and the chance of an error or damage to the updates are minimal to none. If she's not dead, she will be, soon enough, and how do you know they aren't hoping more of us would come? There's just too many, and the resources required for a successful mission is now not available to us. So, please, Miri, show us how to get out of here."
"......" Mirian's jaw worked left to right. She still wanted to go after her friend, but the commandos were right, she had to focus on the living. The needs of the many... "This way."
Mirian took an alternate path from her original destination, and led them through a path that opened directly into the spaceport, where they raced to their transport. Everyone was hurrying to get in, and off this planet, which had already claimed one of them. Mirian looked around, lagging behind, hoping to see by some miracle, Kaytra running to catch up with them.
Contrary to her friend's belief, she was certain machines and computers COULD lie and make mistakes.

*Asha turned around and face the commandos as they began to pile in. From what she gathered over the comlink, things hadn't gone very well. She scanned the group before speaking up.* "Where's Tatham?" *Ashas gaze fell on Shepard. The man only shook his head before turning back to make sure everyone was on board. Even without words spoken, Asha knew what happened. Turning around, she busied herself with the last minute preparations.*
-Shepard- *Shepard stood at the top of the ramp, watching Mirian slowly bring up the rear. His eyes darted behind the women as he saw movement close to the hangars entrance. Cursing under his breath, he watched two slavers charge into the hangar and take position behind several crates.* :Mirian! In the ship. Asha get us out of here!:: *From behind him he heard several other commandos step up with their verpine rifles raised. Grabbing Mirian by the shoulder he almost tossed her into the ship as the other commandos began to lay down suppressing fire. As the ship began to lift off, several more slavers entered the hangar. With a low hiss the loading ramp raised up, closing the commandos safely inside.*
*As the Sun Dog roared off towards safety, two figures stepped casually into the hangar. One was the Weequay that lead the slavers, the other was the armor clad female that took down Kaytra. The Weequay calmly watched was the ship rocketed off deeper into the city before speaking to his female companion.*
-Weequay- "Not exactly how I envisioned it. But, we killed one and made a statement while doing so. That will give them something to think about, knowing that we're not afraid to strike them directly now. Did you..get what you came for?"
-Female- "Yeah, I got what I came for. And so did you, more or less."
*The Weequay clapped his hands together and let out a laugh.* -Weequay- "Wonderful! Lets get a drink boys! To celebrate! Today was a small victory. Tomorrow we plan an even deadlier blow. Oh, and good doing business with you Miss Tatham."
*The women watched as the group of slavers exited the hangar in good spirits. Once they were gone she pulled off her helmet, revealing a young female human with blond, almost white, hair and light blue eyes. She pulled a small holo out of her pocket and activated it. The holo contained two pictures of Kaytra. The first picture was of a young Kaytra, around fifteen, she had no prosthetic parts and bright hazel eyes. The second was taken only an hour before. The difference between the two saddened the women. Deactivating the holo, she put it back into her pocket before mumbling under her breath.* "Sorry cousin. It's just family business."

Mirian was essentially hauled into the ship, and the girl all but crashed into the bulkhead on the opposite side. She'd run over the moment she saw Shepard's face. She didn't need the Force to tell her that poodoo was hitting the fan right after the last time. She narrowly avoided dropping Tooey, her hug-me doll. She glanced over at the other battered commandos, none too bad, but she'd have to give them a cursory check up all the same, once they were in a cruiser. For now, it was all they could do to just get off-planet and safely away from unnecessary danger. With only one loss. Anybody would be okay with that. Almost anybody. But Kaytra wasn't just a number. She was someone. A person. And she was lost to this vast universe now.
She reached out with the Force to feel for Kaytra's presence. She wasn't very good with this kind of thing, but she was pretty certain she couldn't feel the commando amongst the living any longer. It was over, for sure. Now they just had to tell everyone the bad news.

*Gavin signaled the taxi to land in the underworld. The taxi driven seemed edgy to do so, but landed the speeder as Gavin paid him and jumped out. He watched as it quickly took off. Turning he reached out to the Force once again. It was around here, he knew. He began to walk, letting it lead him on.
Minutes passed as Gavin walked down the streets. It was slowly growing stronger. Preparing himself, he looked over himself. He held all five lightsabers on his person, his saberstaff in his trenchcoat, and his large sword resting on his back. He always expected trouble and in this case, it could very well be an ambush. Turning down an ally way, he noticed someone laying on the ground. He stopped for a moment and looked around. Seeing no one around he approached her and knelt at her side. She was badly beaten up, but what he could see. But how did she come to receive so many injuries. She was unconscious and perhaps too injured to move. Closing his eyes, he put his hands over the girl, the the Force flow through him to her. He wasn't the most skilled in healing, but at the very least, he could seal some and stop the bleeding. But from there, she needed someone truly skilled in healing.
He could also tell as he healed that some parts of her body were prosthetic. This sparked curiosity in him, wondering what she had gone through to bear so many. Aside from a healer, she'd also need someone who knew how to fix them. But for now, he simply focused on her injuries he could do something about.*

*Kaytras mind began to stir as she woke from unconsciousness. A familiar feeling began to sink in, pain. It shot through every part of her body, from the wound in her shoulder, to her legs. Her mind told her to move, that she was still in danger, but her body told her differently. With a low groan, her eyes began to open slowly. Her the green irises of her prosthetic eyes adjusted to their surroundings. She had a vague recalection of falling. From her position on the ground bellow, her mind told her that's what happened. There was something else, or someone else to be exact. Without moving her head, her eyes looked up at the person. She did not recognize who he was, or if he was one of the slavers. He was armed, she could tell, but for some reason he didn't seem to be threatening her in any way. Forcing herself to speak, she spoke in a low voice.*
"What...who..are you?

*Gavin gave a sigh of relief as she came to. This was good. She needed help, but with her active, he could gain a better idea of how. He looked to her with a smile, her wounds closing up finally. From the impact on her body, he could only assume she fell from the roof, though he couldn't know for certain. For now, he pushed the thoughts aside.*
