==Zombie Battle Royale== <<107 PP, L9 Sector, Coruscant, Undercity, Secret Imperium Lab>>
The samples had been shipped in some time ago. The lab crews had finished their previous project & finished the complete scrub & sterilize. It was standard pratice that after everything was complete & the finial samples had been sent off for storage (along with the data updates that had been regular since the beginning of the project) every last trace of the project (both physical & data) where obliterated from the lab.
That had been some weeks ago. Since then they had started on their next task. The virus they were currently working on showed an incredible potential for shifting the biology of those it infected. While it lowered intelligence to a near bestial stage, in greatly increased all physical traits of the subjects. As well as seemingly shifting any known racial type tested into a single new species. There were several promising leads with the project. If some type of control system could be implemented, they could be used as incredible shock troops, turning any wounded into more soldiers for the Imperium. If the intelligence reduction could be counter-acted, it would be a wonderful unifying boon for the still rather multiracial people of the Imperium. If a temporary, weakened strain could be created, it could even be used as a combat stimm. Or even a permanent boost.
They were still some ways away from any of those goals however. This wasn't the only lab working on this project & data dispatching containing relevant data were often being routed to them from other labs. This particular lab was working more on the control aspect. So far, all the infected subject had shown a quick transformation. Infected hosts also seemed to ignore other infect, even those not yet fully turned. They were already up to twenty two test subjects when the accident happened.
One of the creatures had been restrained to a testing bed, but either a weakness in one strap of a particularly large burst of strength enabled it to get loose. The operating researcher was infected immediately, as were the three guards on hand. The damage inflicted as the infected quickly turned & began rampaging caused the containment breach of the main holding area. The resulting loss of containment was brutal. Once the researchers had regained control of the labs fourteen of the original hosts were confirmed destroyed, along with another eighteen researchers & guards. Of the remaining eight original hosts, all were successfully re-contained. However, three guards were still missing from the final tally. Because of the loss of surveillance in damaged sections & level of destruction required to neutralize the escaped host, it was rated as highly plausible that said guards were present in the remains recovered, or otherwise consumed by other subjects.

Hands in the pockets of his well worn and somewhat battered Neo-leather duster coat, Razmik walks up the boarding ramp of his Nemesis-class patrol ship, the Gledalac, after meeting with one of the members of the Coruscant Underworld Police that survived a recent altercation with the crew of a YT-2400 suspected to be involved in drug smuggling.
Leaning against a strut atop the boarding ramp, Alessia Salinitri, the tiny, blonde haired Morganian co-pilot of the Gledalac, greets Razmik by asking, "Them?"
Nodding as he takes a datacard, containing images of the YT-2400's crew and incident reports describing their encounter with the Coruscant Underworld Police, from a pocket of his duster coat, Razmik replies, "It was Jang. As he and Alessia begin making their way to the cockpit, Razmik continues, He's taken on a new crew member and a combat droid it seems. No I.D. on the new crew member, who was wearing a helmet covering their face on all of the footage the Underworld Police captured."
As she settles into the co-pilot's chair, Alessia says, "Seems to have taken on a new policy where avoiding blasting law enforcement types is concerned too. Influence of the mysterious new crew member you think?"
"Doubtful, Razmik answers while beginning to prepare the Gledalac for liftoff. Jang has always been careful to confine the more violent tendencies of those among his crew with a penchant for indiscriminate violence to actions against other criminal scum in the past, and in this particular instance the combat droid is the only member of the crew that resorted to lethal action. The right corner of his upper lip curling as his personal hatred for Jang momentarily seeps to the surface, Razmik growls, In any event, Jang is accountable . . ."
Activating the ship's repulsorlifts, Alessia nods and interrupts before Razmik can go off on a rant that she has heard more than once, "And wanted for multiple smuggling charges to boot. Any idea where he's go to ground? He's smart enough to know that the price on his head after this . . ."
"That's the funny thing, Razmik cuts Alessia off, rubbing his stubbled chin as he says, Wenqian found no bounties on the crew."
"Makes no sense, Alessia says, nose crinkling as she considers what Razmik has said. The Underworld Police should . . ."
Nodding, Razmik agrees, "Yes, they bloody well should have. Curious, is it not? Shaking his head, Razmik goes on, But ultimately immaterial. As for where Jang would go from Coruscant to hide, your guess is as good as mine. We do know, however, where he and his crew are bound to turn up sooner or later."
Sighing as she adjusts the Gledalac's course while the ship cruises higher and higher up towards Coruscant's upper orbit, Alessia guesses where they are going to go to lay in wait for Jang, "Ryloth?"
"Ryloth, Razmik confirms. Wenqian's research into his financial activity has finally borne fruit. One of Jang's primary accounts suggests that he has a regular, hefty payment of some kind that he never misses. He won't want to be out of play for too long, and Ryloth appears to be one of his more reliable sources of income. He'll show up there eventually, and we'll be waiting for him. I'll be waiting for him. I want to set up a base of operation in Kala'uun so that, if we're hired, I can stay behind while you and the rest of the crew carry it out."
Watching Razmik out of the corner of her eye, Alessia asks, "You aren't planning on taking things into your own hands, are you? We are Sector Rangers after all."
Arching an eyebrow as though surprised by the suggestion he would forget the rules that guide and, in this instance, bind him, Razmik says calmly, as though not trying to convince himself as well as his co-pilot, "I haven't played the smuggler for long that I've forgotten what we are, no."
Moments later, the Gledalac ascends from Coruscant's upper atmosphere and into orbit as it begins its journey to Ryloth.

The dropships of the 69th Battalion dropped down through the atmosphere, before splitting off into several different groups. Neith reserved two platoons of Purge Troopers for her mission, while the rest were deployed across the planet, hitting up various gang hideouts. Meanwhile, Neith piloted her TIE Silencer down to the lower levels of Coruscant. The Troop transports close behind, before they pulled into one of the levels. The ships landing in a protective circle with the Silencer at the center and the dropships around the edge.
Neith disembarked her starfighter, while the two platoons of Purge Troopers exited their ships. 2 Squads took up positions to watch over their landing zone, while Neith lead the rest of them deeper into level 1313

Shiirruk sat in a booth in a bar in the Underworld. The only distinction between this place and the others around it being a blinking holosign displaying alien wordage which was followed by an animation of a cephalopod humanoid devouring food on a plate. That was what had originally drawn it here, but what had made this a favorite spot for the Pulra was the cuisine. Not being picky in the slightest was a large advantage when it came to finding adequate nutrition. In the many times the slime had been there, it had never had a meal that it did not like. This was despite the fact that everyone else always found the process of the slime eating disgusting and unsettling, as the food it was served was usually an amalgamation of leftovers meant to be thrown out. Despite the many different cuisines in the Galaxy, some things were found universally unpleasant to watch.
The owner had heard the complaints but had been unwilling to part with such an impartial, and paying, regular. So he had made arrangements with his new patron garbage disposal, who paid him to get rid of the waste he served it. The Pulra was to get its own seating in the area cordoned off on the second floor, which was usually reserved for parties and gatherings. This had the added effect of making it seem that whenever the slime came in to eat and was taken to its own area, that it was some sort of important or dangerous individual. Maybe an Underworld Crime Lord or bounty hunter? Maybe the friend of some surface official? The bar owner had not stamped these rumors out, finding them helpful in giving the bar a bit more of a reputation to keep the seedier patrons in line. Nor did he tell the slimy alien of this, making up some excuse of being such a good customer and having a better view. He just served the slime slop and pocketed the credits, while rubbing his hands together for his good fortune in getting to half his waste fees.
Shiirruk sat spread out in his booth, what would looked like to a humanoid slightly slouched over his bucket, yes a bucket, of what could only be described as a steaming stew of green and brown. The slime tentatively stretched out an appendage into the odd bouquet of scents and immersed it in the stew. Its head cocked to the side as it tasted the meal set in front of it. It only took a moment for the Pulra to decide to take the dive and several more appendages stretched out from its body and went into the bucket. The noise emanating from the second floor down to the bar proper made several customers glance upward. The sucking, sloshing and squelching of the Pulra eating drawing the attention of a few curious but too cautious patrons. The cooks had already began preparing the second course, scraping out their fryer, grill as well as taking everything out of the produce drawers that were about to go bad and throwing it all in a food processor.

Brock moved about the underworld of Coruscant with the quiet confident stride of a man sure he could take any of the scum that tried to cause trouble. In truth he was well aware that he was mortal and could be killed just like any other being, however he discovered long ago that if you look like you are ready to kill at a moment's notice fewer criminals try to rob you. He hoped that a combination of his stride and the fact that he was clearly wearing armor underneath the grey cloak he wore would be enough to keep most of the underworld scum from being too much of a problem. Making his way into the appointed meeting location, a decent enough bar for it's location on the world, he dropped the hood of his cloak, revealing his face and curly brown hair. After a very quick conversation with one of the bartenders he was directed to a private room upstairs. Neither the sound nor the smell were the worst that Brock had ever encountered, but they certainly weren't pleasant thankfully there was a solution to at least one of those. Blocking airflow through his nose via the force seemed like a waste of that mythical energy source... but Brock had always been a practical man. He took the seat across from the rather unique diner purposely choosing to watch, his face impassive, until they took notice rather than interrupt someone he was hoping to hire.

Spread out on the table before the teal colored creature were several large containers much like the one it was partially inside, sucking out the contents. The ones that were strewn about, however, were spotless. Shiirruk did not appear to look up from its meal, even as it saw a new being it did not recognize as part of the bar staff come up the stairs and walk toward its table. Not having eyes in the normal sense really gave an advantage to awareness of one's surroundings. What made it pause momentarily as the being approached was an odd...feeling. It had felt similar auras before, but did not have any knowledge of what made it appear in this way in some and not all it crossed paths with. A shiver ran across the surface of its form, sending a small vibration into the table as what Shiirruk now identified as a human male sat down at its table.
The Pulra lifted itself out of the container, pulling the appendage back into its main body. A few chunks of whatever it had been consuming could be seen for a few moments before dissolving inside the gelatinous creature. The smooth form of its body remained motionless for a moment, as if eyeing up the human sat across from, trying to determine the reason as to why he was there. After the moment had passed a small tendril sprang forth from its body and curved around a vocoder attached to a bandoleer with a few other pouches. The small tentacle like appendage seemed to seap into the casing of the device until a small red light blinked on. The tendril seemed to wiggle slightly as it manipulated the inside of the translator. After another moment the small speaker on the vocoder crackled with static before speaking out whatever the Pulra had 'said' in a monotone voice.
May This One be of assistance to you?

Elayne had awoken when she had sensed Princess Fiora stir from her sleep. It was part of her duty as the Imperial Knight assigned to the Princesses protection to be in-sync with her charge's sleeping patterns. Which, of late, had meant a number of near sleepless nights. Elayne could not quite figure out what was going on, despite questioning Fiora on multiple occasions about it. The Princess had merely waved the matter away as just bad dreams. Something Elayne hardly believed to be the full truth. However, she lacked the real authority to press Fiora on the matter and so she adjusted to these chains of events. Hoping that she might gain the Princesses trust enough to find out the truth behind what was going on. Which was why she had not alerted Brock or Faina to the matter. She knew they both had reservations about letting Fiora train with the Ren, and would try claim these nightmares were the young Princesses fears manifesting. Something that Elayne could not rule out yet, but not a conclusion she wanted others to jump to.
As much as she detested the knowledge that Fiora would train with the Ren when the time came, it was not her place to question such matters. Her duty was to protect Fiora until the day came that the Ren would take Fiora away for training.
Elayne shook such thoughts from her head for the time being as she rose from her bed. She had spent enough time getting lost in her own thoughts and Fiora was not in her own bed yet. She slipped her golden armour on and made her way out of her room and into the chambers of the Princess. She was still wiping the weariness from her eyes as she came to a stop at the doorway to the balcony and leaned against the frame. The high backed chair sat on the balcony facing out to the city, obscuring Fiora's figure from Elayne's view as she leaned against the door frame and crossed her arms. Her gaze settling upon the city It really is quite a beautiful view... A city finally at peace... Alright Your Highness, it's time to get you back into bed so you can get some peace... Elayne pushed off from the doorway and moved over to the chair, placing a hand upon the seat back as she turned her gaze down to find an empty chair...
Fiora could well imagine the look of abject horror that was probably crossing Elayne's face right about now, as the Imperial Knight discovered the empty chair. While she had hoped to once again fall back to sleep, such a notion had only continued to grow more and more distant with each passing moment she sat there. The Force called out to her, bidding her to leave the confines of the Palace and explore this new world. And it was a calling she could not resist long before answering. Using her knowledge of the Palace's construction and her growing abilities within the Force to navigate her way through a number of hidden and secret passages that lead outside of the building.
She stole one final glance back up at the Palace, miming the word sorry with her lips, before pulling up her hood and heading to a nearby transport stop. Wanting to blend in, Fiora had taken one of the freshly washed cloaks worn by the secret messengers that traversed the Empire. Their green cloaks were devoid of any Imperial insignia and the hoods sat such that they could obscure the wearers identity. Something she suspected would be important while she was out exploring. She might have been young, but she knew just how important she was.
She kept the hood held tight as she joined a group of waiting people, all of whom seemed to remain oblivious to the new arrival. She had only to wait a few moments before a transport arrived and everyone loaded on. She did her best to try and blend in with the others, nodding her head to the driver before taking a seat toward the very back of the transport away from the other passengers. She settled into the corner of the seat as the transport took off and headed across the city. If Fiora had thought the city looked beautiful from afar, she thought it looked infinitely better up close as they sped between the high-rises and the multitudes of traffic that filled the airways.
The ride seemed to go on and on forever through the city. However, the buildings seemed to suddenly drop off in height and the number of people on the transport decreased dramatically. Her gaze was soon drawn to one of the gaping maws that littered the surface of Coruscant. She had heard these transit tunnels allowed traffic to move up and down through the thousands upon thousands of layers that reached down to the planets true surface. While she wasn't sure how true these claims were, the closer they drew to the opening, the more confident she became that she would find out very soon the truth of it all.
The transport came to the edge of the giant hole and then joined into the traffic stream as it moved into a counter clockwise downward spiral around the edge, while much larger transports could rise and descend in the middle. She was so entranced with the whole scene, that she seemed to miss just how far the had gone down before the transport pulled into one of the layers and moved across the city further.
And then, the transport came to a final stop, with the Driver turning in his seat to look right back at her. Fiora suddenly felt quite nervous as she watched the last of the occupants of the transport all file off. Leaving her alone with the Driver Last stop missy, everybody off. That means you... She let out a slight sigh of relief as the man spoke, insisting upon her getting off. She gave a simple nod of her head before rising from her seat and quickly made her way off the transport. She had to stop herself from recoiling a little as she was greeted by the stench of the air in this area of Coruscant. Despite the air purifier systems best efforts, there seemed to be something on the air that Fiora had never smelled before. Perhaps she was so used to living on the surface in comfort that she was so sensitive to the change in air quality. What ever the case, she forced herself to recover as she moved away from the transport, which seemed to take off rather quickly back the way it had come.
She looked up to find a small informational sign indicating that she was in District G, Sector 17. Something which quite honestly meant nothing to the young girl as she turned her attention back to the crowd. She felt her heart sink then, as a group of Stormtroopers that were on patrol were working their way through the crowd checking on people's ID's. Panic started to set in as she watched a pair of the white armour clad soldiers approach her. In her plan to sneak out, she had not concerned herself with identification. And even if she had taken an ID, Fiora was pretty sure the Stormtroopers would recognize the Princess of the First Order We're going to have to see some identification there little lady... Fiora froze and looked up at the soldiers masks from beneath her hood. Her little expedition was about to be brought to a very abrupt conclusion with a rather uncomfortable discussion to follow. She lifted her hand up then and waved it through the air in front of the Stromtroopers. Trying to will the Force to her aide and influence the soldiers You don't need to see my identification... There was a moment of silence as the Stromtroopers just stood there, looking at her. Fiora felt as if she was holding her breath forever in anticipation. The Stormtroopers seemed to move their heads to look at one another, before turning their attention back upon her Yes, we do need to see your identification... What, you think you're some kind of Force User? Come on kid, we don;t have all day...
No, but... LOOK OVER THERE IT'S A JEDI!!! Fiora did her best to seem panicked as she pointed off to her right, trying to yell it loud enough to get others attention. Which, thankfully it did. the nearby crowd all seemed to go into a bit of a panic as they looked in the direction Fiora had been pointing. The Stormtroopers, taken a little by surprise, turned in the direction as well. Knowing better than to ignore a potentially real threat. Fiora turned in the opposite direction then and bolted off down the street, running as fast as she could. Praying to the force to lend her its strength. Shouts could be heard a few moments later as the Stromtroopers caught onto her disappearance, the pair chasing her down the street.
She tried to listen to the call of the Force as she ran, hoping for it to lead her to somewhere safe since she had no idea where she was and where any of the roads and streets led. She pulled a right turn, ran along a road for some time, took a left turn onto a smaller road, and then took another right turn onto another street. The pair of Stromtroopers still trailed behind her. She just hoped she could lose them soon. The Force could only sustain her at this pace for so long

It had been a pretty typical night for Jin. She had made her way to one of her favorite alley ways and began work on her most recent work of art. The image would end up being the Triple Threat Triad's emblem bursting out of the middle of the Imperial symbol. She had worked for most of the day, keeping her pace up and the outside world out by music she was playing from her datapad into small earphones. Only the rattleing from inside her paint cans could make it past her wall of music. It was a band Ryath had introduced to her. She wasn't sure what they said, but she understood it. She painted well into the night, using the lights from her datapads to illuminate the wall where she worked. A message had already been sent to Ryath telling him she'd be out late, though she was running out of steam for the moment. Taking a step back to admire her work, she was knocked over by something, or somebody slamming into her side. Turning over and quickly getting up, she saw a small woman in a green cloak who had run right into her. At the end of the alley from where she came were a pair of white, armor clad, stormtroopers. Oh, hell. Look, kid, if you're running from them, just follow my lead. She whispered that to the child quickly before clearing her throat and saying loudly. Oh there you are! Uncle has been so worried about you! Thank you so much for finding her, sirs! She did a quick mock salute to the pair of troopers, no doubt closing the distance to them. Jin's heart started to pound rather quickly as they neared the place she had been working. "Oh Jin you dumby, why the hell did you stick your neck out for this girl here of all places. Should have just run."

Fiora had been so busy running and trying to search out a way to go, that she had not seen the black and purple haired girl standing in the middle of the alleyway. Her momentum came to a crashing halt as her body contacted the other girl. Her hands reflexively came up to around her head as she tumbled rather ungracefully onto the ground. Her hood thankfully remained in place as she came to a stop on the street. She felt slightly disorientated and her body ached in a couple places from the impact as she lifted her emerald gaze up. The other girl had managed to already get back upon her feet and was speaking. She gave a small, cautious nod as she managed to get to her feet.
She hid herself behind her new companion, somewhat confused by the uncoerced offer of help, and gripped both hand around the older girls forearm. She didn't like using someone else as a shield in this situation, especially where Stormtroopers were concerned, but she didn't want her expedition out to end now. She kept her hood covering her face in shadows as the pair of Stormtroopers came jogging down the alleyway, then finally stopping as they lowered their weapons and examined the pair Are you saying you know this girl?
I-I'm sorry s-sis... I just g-got so lost... I didn't mean to make him w-worry... Fiora tightened her grip a little upon the girls arm, worried about what was going to happen. Stormtroopers were highly trained soldiers that the First Order employed to fight their wars and ensure the enforcement of law. It was well within their rights to haul both girls off to a local garrison for questioning and contacting of their parents. The Stormtroopers looked at each other, before one seemed to examine the scene around them. His gaze lingering upon the artwork upon the wall, while the other settled his gaze on the two children. After a few moments a feminine voice spoke Look, I don't want to drag a pair of kids into a garrison and question you both... Especially since we found you near that artwork... Consider this a warning, only because you're kids. But if we catch you out after curfew and without ID again, Your Uncle will be worried for a while different reason. Got it? Take your stuff, but the paint remains behind. The Stormtrooper that had been examining the art work moved over and started collecting any spray cans that were just laying out and about. Fiora couldn't believe her luck in that moment. This weird situation was somehow working, all she had to do was keep playing along and hopefully this girl could get her out of here and to somewhere safe. Where ever safe was right now

Jin stood her ground, straightening up as the troopers closed in. She didn't have much going for her, but she wasn't about to submit to the invaders. Just a bigger gang that rolled in and removed one of the few points of stability in the district. Things had been chaotic, even with imperial law. The planet, and especially underworld, were too big to control fully, at least not so soon since the regime change. The teenager felt weird hearing the other girl talking. Laying it on a little thick their with the stammers, but it seemed to be working, they weren't in cuffs yet. But then the troopers started to look around the alley. Kriff. They were smarter than they looked, then again 1+1 wasn't a hard arithmetic. But still she stood tall, almost now wanting to catch the blame. And this just made her mouth wanna run like a rancor was after it.
Yeah, the garrison huh? Is that where they teach you to frighten little kids? At least when the Trip Tees ran this place, we knew each other and trusted each other, and let kids be kids. Didn't need no ID card to go for a walk at night. And that's some kriffing classism too, you know that? Do you know how expensive it is now to register for an ID card? Nearly broke my uncle for his, and's done a lot worse to some of my neighbors... but- but you know what!? Thanks for your "order" and "safety" you brought us. Big help that's been!
Jin was starting to shake now, in a mix of nerves and anger. She'd been holding this rant back every time a trooper asked for an ID card, before she'd slip past somehow. But now it was all coming out. She was standing up for District G17, Her home, in fact, her whole world was within the bounds of this district. Even though she was frightened she had said too much, she still stood tall and held her ground. Waiting for a response from the troopers, almost forgetting the young girl hiding behind her.

Fiora had almost been about to let out a sigh of relief, thankful that this was over. But that moment never came as the older girl seemed to stand up to the comments from the Stormtrooper. She didn't quite fully understand what the other girl was saying, but she got a general feeling for it. Her understanding of Coruscant was rather basic and minimal. All she truly knew, was what her Father had told her: that lots of bad men were in charge and they didn't like sharing. It was why the First Order had to come in, so that everyone would get what they needed. Perhaps one day she would understand a lot more about everything that had once happened here. But for now, her understanding was all that she needed to get by.
She kept herself huddled behind the older girl as the female Stormtrooper seemed to take a couple steps closer. Seemingly incensed by the talk back that the teenage girl had given. Fiora tried to calm herself down then, removing one hand from the arm she was clutching. She worked to focus her mind as she called out to the Force, asking for its assistance. The Stormtrooper clutched her gun tighter and leaned forward a little, trying to tower over the girl The Trip Tees huh? You mean the thugs that used to... as they called it... run this place? The same ones that kept getting into shoot outs with other gangs because they wanted to prove they were tough? Yeah, I think we still have a couple of those guys still locked up back at the Garrison, or maybe it was The Violet Dragons we have back there... I hear they and the Triple Tees got along real well... Perhaps you'd like to spend a night with them and see just how great the gangs were... In fact... Fiora pleaded with the Force as she raised her hand around the older girls side, focusing upon the Stormtrooper's mind and trying to more actively assert her will on it. Faina had been teaching her to use the ability for a few months now, and had even demonstrated the ability on a Stromtrooper or two. Whoever she tried this on had to not be able to touch the Force, and the weaker they were, the higher chance of success she would have I-In fact... you just want to let us go home... She felt something move in the Force ever so slightly as the Stromtrooper seemed to come to a stop. The woman seemed to straighten up a little bit then, as Fiora's will was pressed upon her mind In fact, I want to let you go home...
Take your stuff and move along...
Take your stuff and move along... Eff en three eight six nine, let's get moving! The other Stormtrooper looked at his companion, debating for a moment whether he should challenge the order. But she was his senior officer and he didn't feel like getting into that particular argument. He gave a nod before the pair headed off along the alleyway and took a left back the way they had come. Fiora waited until the Stormtroopers were gone before speaking again That was too cl... She felt a sudden wave of weariness watch over her before she could finish what she was saying. She leaned against the older girls back, trying to support herself while standing up as her vision seemed to darken. She had overexerted herself with a power she had not used before in this kind of situation. She let go of the teenagers arm and tried wrapping her arms around the girls waist to stay standing I.... I-I.... I.... Need a rest...

Jin was ready to throw a punch, she didn't care that the armor of the trooper would make it count for naught. She'd had enough of the Imperials talking down to her and others like her. And when she taunted her with the imprisonment of the members of the Triple Threat Triad, she almost followed through with that impulse. But her fist unclinched in amazement, as the girl whom until this moment forgotten about, raised her hand and... and... well she didn't know what she did, but it had to have been the Force. It was the only thing that she could think of to explain it. She was stunned for a moment as she watched the exchange, her mouth slightly agape. But this shock passed as the troopers started walking away. Another impulse came over her as she picked up one of her paint cans. Pulling back she was about to hurl it at the retreating imps but then she felt and herd how tired the young girl was. Lowering her arm and dropping the paint to the ground, Jin turned and helped guide the girl to the ground and leaned her against the wall. Jin started to hastily pack her things, shifting in mood between amazement, anger, and concern. Amazed at the feat a girl, what, 6 years her junior had pulled off. Angry at the troopers, world, and just about everything in general. And then concern as her eyes kept flicking up from what she was doing to the young hooded girl.
So... That was... Something. But... uh, where are your parents? Your a bit young to be wondering around her alone. Like I said, without the Trip Tees keeping an eye on the streets, some real creeps have moved in. Her gaze turned once more down the alley after the troopers. A fleeting thought of saving those prisoners crossed her mind, but now wasn't the time.

Fiora knew she wouldn't be able to repeat her little mind trick again if the older girl caused the Stormtroopers to come back. She started to prepare herself for that eventuality as the girl picked up a paint can, before dropping it to the ground. A sense of relief washing over her as she then felt the other girl help guide her to the ground and leaned against the wall. One day she would be able to do that without expending all of her energy, but today was not that day. Her hood remained pulled up for the most part as she glanced toward the older girl as she packed her things away. Her breathing was a little laboured, even just sitting there and trying to get some rest to recover Y-yeah, it... it was something.... heh... Any hopes of hiding that she was Force Sensitive were well gone by this point. But when the question of where her parents were came up, Fiora took a moment to think. She wasn't about to just openly admit to being the Princess of the First Order. So glanced away down the alley where the Stormtroopers had disappeared My parents, uhhh... They're in the upper levels. I-I got separated from them and uhh... Ended up down here. I didn't know what else... what else to do and where to go... She turned her attention back to the other girl again, focusing upon her face C-could you help me? I just... I wanted to get out a bit... She leaned her head forward and let out a sigh. Several strands of her red hair fell free of the hood and hung loose in the air around her face. Maybe this wasn't such a great idea after all. She'd gotten herself lost in a city she did not know, and had almost gotten someone she had never met before in serious trouble with the Stormtroopers. She knew they could be a little rough sometimes, but she knew they were just trying to do what was best for everyone

Jin gave finished collecting her things and then once again looked at how tired the young girl was. But instead of getting up right away she scooted over and sat next to her. This little one was in no position to make the walk back to her apartment yet, so they'd have to wait it out. Then a thought crossed Jin's mind and she dug around in her bag and produced a small package of salted crackers with a protein paste. The snack was slightly crushed but wouldn't taste any worse for it. The purple hair girl handed it to the other girl.
Eating some of that always helped me after... well when I was first learning. She gave a friendly smile and wink at the girl next to her. I'm Jin, by the way, Jin Song. I'd take you home tonight, but all the public transit to this District is done for the day, we'll have to wait till tomorrow. Uncle Ryath wont mind if you stay the night, and you can use our communicator to let your family know you're safe. What's your name?

Fiora turned her face slightly toward the older girl as she produced some salted crackers with a protein paste and offered it. She almost wanted to refuse the offered snacks, until her belly grumbled at her and reminded her of how hungry she was. She blushed a little in embarrassment at the noise before timidly taking the crackers and started eating them. However, she stopped mid bite and her eyes seemed to grow a little wider You can... you can use it too? Apart from her brother, Fiora didn't know anyone else her age or close to it that could use the Force. Everyone else she knew with the ability were all grown up. Somewhere deep down she knew others must have existed that could touch the Force that were as young as she was. But finally meeting someone else was nice. She lowered her gaze again and nibbled away at the crackers as the girl then introduced herself as Jin Song.
Fiora mentally panicked as Jin gave her full name. It would be incredibly rude for her not to give a full name in return, and so she started madly trying to think up a name in return. She did her best not to show much panic as she tried to think up a name and process that she was going to be stuck here for the night. She had not intended to be gone so long, since the longer she was missing the more likely Elayne was going to get in trouble and have to report her missing. And if things weren't bad enough as is, they would get a lot worse if the Garrisons were on a man hunt looking for her.
She would just have to get up really early and take the first transport back to the Palace and hope she could sneak in and have Elayne find her before anything too bad happened. Fiora forced a smile as she turned back to face Jin then, stopping herself from nomming on the crackers long enough to respond My n-name is... is Flora... Flora Domino! Yup! that's me! It's nice to meet you Jin Song! I mean... Jin. Thank you for the snack and... and for looking after me. I almost got you into a lot of trouble with those soldiers, and you were still nice... As for contacting my parents, uhhh... I don't actually know their number.... She knew people in the Palace had communicators, and that Elayne had one. But she had never actually asked how to get in touch using one. Besides, she knew that if she told Elayne where she was, the Imperial Knight would freak and come get her with an armed escort. Fiora offered something of an awkward smile then

In response to the girls surprise at Jin also being a force user, she reached out and picked up a nearby piece of trash and turned it over in mid air before setting it back don. Jin let out a little chuckle as the girl thanked her. She pushed some of her purple and black hair behind her ear. It was nothing. I don't know how it is up top, but down here, rule number one is "The buckets aren't your friends." Rule number two is "Look out for each other, especially when someone's in trouble." They think they know how things were down here. Sure it could get violent, but as long as gangs stayed to their own territory and business, there was no need. Jin paused, seemingly thinking about those times past, but soon snapped herself out of it. But you're from the big sun filled Uppercity! No need to bother you with the Undercity problems, Flora. But I will be sure to get you home safe. You good for a bit of a walk? The apartment's a few blocks away.
Jin stood and offered her hand to Flora. She would have had to have been blind to see that Flora was nervous. But that was chalked up to her being in a strange part of the city after being chased by some Stormtroopers. Enough to get anyone feeling a little shaky in the knees.

Fiora watched as Jin picked up the piece of trash and floated it in the air. It was a relatively simple display of power, but one that made Fiora smile and relax a little bit. She felt the Force start to swell back within her and give off an internal warmth as the trash landed on the ground again. The salted crackers starting to restore a little bit of her strength. Perhaps this was why she felt a pull in the Force to come here: so that she could meet Jin. Her awkward smile took on a bit more confidence as Jin tried to wave off the thanks and spoke about how things were "down here". It made her a little sad to hear that the Stormtroopers were viewed as the bad guys, something her little adventure had done little but to reinforce. But still, she paid attention as Jin spoke of her two rules Life up top is... definitely a lot different for sure... Especially for me... She half mumbled those last words. Her life was far from horrible, she lived in a Palace and was the daughter of the most powerful man in the galaxy. There was nothing she could not get thanks to that power. Well, almost nothing. Being a Princess meant that friends, true and honest friends, were not really a thing she had any of. Fiora looked up at Jin, when the girl got up and offered a hand down. She reached up and took the offered hand and got to her feet with Jin's aide. She still felt a little unsteady on her own feet, but the food had helped a lot. She gave herself a bit of a dust off and pat down I think I can manage a few blocks of walking... And please, you don't have to not talk about it because of where I'm from.. If you want to talk about it, please go on. I... I thought I knew what it was like, but... Clearly I was wrong... She straightened back up as she finished dusting herself off and resettled her hood. Still doing her best to try keep her face hidden even as she took a couple steps closer to Jin and gave the other girl a quick hug, resting the side of her face against Jin's chest. Her eyes closing for a moment as she smiled Thank you, it means a lot... She then pulled back from Jin then, feeling a little less nervous than she had before. There was still a lot of hours left in the night before she would be able to get back to the Palace and deal with the after math. But she had someone who seemed to be nice I'll follow you and we... we can talk about what ever... It's probably a long walk back and we should fill the time doing something...

Jin couldn't help but smile as she watched the girl. But was somewhat surprised as she was hugged and the clarity and poise with which the young girl acted, it was as someone beyond the years she'd assume the girl to be. Guess it was something that came with being able to see the sun? But the smile returned and she rested a hand on her hooded head and gave it a quick ruffle. You're pretty bright for your age. But you're still just a kid. I don't want you to be getting bogged down in life's little problems just yet. She removed the hand from her head and offered it to Flora to hold. But if you want to hear more, I'll keep talking, just giving you the chance to opt out. Another little chuckle as she started the walk home. She kept her pace much slower than she usually made the trip, for the benefit of Flora. Well, this district used to be run by a gang called the Triple Threat Triads, or the Trip Tees, or sometimes the just Tees. They kinda acted as our little slice of Coruscant's government. They enforced rules, kept a lot of the essential services going, and even looked out for folks when they couldn't quite make ends meet. Occasionally the Violet Dragons would try and take away their turf, saw the Trip Tees kindness as weakness. It- It got rough sometimes. But the community always came together after words and kept each other going, yeah know? Jin couldn't help but frown as her memory turned to the days she lost her parents to Violet Dragon attacks. But even as an orphan with nothing to offer yet, the Tees but they made sure Uncle Ryath was able to keep her and had time to raise her. It was probably that charity that kept Ryath from being killed or imprisoned when the Empire came and everything got worse. Shaking herself again to turn the conversation back to a happier thought, Jin had some questions of her own. So... uh, is it true that you can see the sun and stars from the Uppercity?

There was something sweet and reassuring about having Jin ruffle her head, a part of her lamenting the cloak being in the way. But for now it was a necessity. She reached out then and took Jin's hand, gripping it a little more tightly than she would have otherwise liked to let on as Jin led the way I'm sure that I'm sure... There was a kindness in Jin that Fiora could connect with and liked. There were few people she had felt it with before, but each one of them she had were important. It was why she wanted to learn more about Jin. She listened with rapt attention as the older girl spoke of the Triple Thread Triads and how they maintained control of this area and the fights they had with the Violet Dragons. She gave Jin's hand a tight squeeze when she frowned, some memory or another seeming to cause her pain I think I do... After my mom uhh... d-died, m-my dad said that me, my brother, and him had to stick together and be strong... Like she was... Fiora wasn't sure if what she said made sense or helped. She used one hand to wipe away a tear of her own that had started to form when she spoke of her mother. No matter how long it had been, she still missed her mother. She smiled then as Jin asked about the uppercity, about seeing the sun and stars You can see everything... the city... the sun... and the stars best of all. There's so many stars like you wouldn't believe... Twinkling away in the night sky... It's... It's beautiful...

Jin returned the hand squeeze as Flora seemed talked about her family. And she gave a soft and reassuring smile to the young girl. Well, your dad's pretty smart. Our lost loved ones wouldn't want us to be miserable on their behalf. Like Uncle Ryath used to say, "Mourn those who you have lost, but you don't forget to live for them too!" I'm sure he read that somewhere, he's usually not that poetic. Then Jin's eyes started to shimmer as she heard about the stars. Those were her favorite too. I hope to see them some day! I've only ever seen it in holovids. There was a beat and Jin smiled again. You know what, Flora? You're a pretty cool kid. Com'on, this next buildings us. She picked up the pace a bit. As much as she was enjoying walking and talking to Flora, she knew two young women walking around the District this late could draw unwanted attention these days, and not just from Stormtroopers...
