Nightfall. Twinkle winkle.
The star destroyer currently operating over Saarlan's general area accepts the transfer of a large number of personnel and supplies, before buzzing upwards into the milky heavens.

Weeks ago, rain forest area in the northern hemisphere of Shili
The natural silence over the plains of Shili, where only the local birds could be heard over long distances across the tree tops, was disturbed when THEY came.
Far in the distance from a cliff, a young Togruta watched from his house as the massive construct sank down upon the valley below like a fearsome god, being made out of metall. At first it seemed like a comet falling from the sky, when the boy saw the glowing fireball entering the atmosphere, when he was doing field work on the nearby plantage - yet he realized soon that this 'thing from outer space' wasn't an ordinary comet - quickly he realized to his own surprise that it was a space ship, hurrying thus off to see it land in the distance.
The boy had heard the tales of those, who came with the vessel, as it landed booming on ground, while shattering probably hundreds, maybe even thousands of trees below its metall surface, as gargantuan claws from the shroom-like structure buried itself into the ground. Somewhere in the distance even the local Akuls, Shili's most feared predators could be heard as they screamed in alert and fear of this object from outer space. The local wildlife was suddenly in disarray, as those, who commanded this ship didn't care for the local fauna. Looking up further towards the sky, others could be seen as they approached the surface - accompanied by eyeball-like smaller vessels and other barely visible transport vessels two Acclamator-Star Destroyers made their way towards the surface, hovering only hundreds of meters over the once peaceful valley. They were clearly here for rescources and for conquest. The boy shivered by the sheer thought of being spotted by them and quickly turned around, making his way to the farm to alert his parents.
The First Order and their troops were known on Shili all too well, as the local citizens had made expieriences with the Imperial Remnant during the past as well. And the news that one of the Imperial Planetary Occupation Facilities has landed on the planet in order to establish a new colony spread like a wildfire during the next weeks.
Present, Planetary Occupation Facility "Sarlacc"
Governor Tarnan Rosk was more than relaxed on his daily visit to the nearby lake along the waterfalls, which was in a rough distance of a few kilometers towards the facility. Having so far secured all the important positions on the planet with which he was tasked constructing, he felt that today was the perfect time for a small sight seeing tour within his territory, as long as it lasted. Rosk wasn't the most pleasant person to look at with his slightly overweight figure, which some gouvernors tend to develop, once they leave the active military service for bureacracy jobs. With his black helmet and the puny, little mustache, he nearly looked like some sort of colonial explorer from an archaic world, wouldn't there have been his Imperial uniform, which clearly identified him as an official gouvernor. As the First Order AT-AT slowly made its way through the vast forest on a route, which the Imperials had already cleansed from potential obstacles for the walker, one of his Lieutenants looked more than nervous. "Sir, as much as I enjoy your tours as well, may I remind you that we still haven't set up the shield generator yet?", Lieutenant Matthew Rosby, a nervous man of thin stature, more whispered than talked towards his superior, "The safety of the mining station is our main priority as the Emperor has commanded, so... we should look into this, right?" The unpleased glare of Rosk, while he was seemingly bored by the constant reminders of the officer below him, was already enough for the lieutenant to fear for his position, as the gouvernor eyed him directly. "Rosby, the Supreme Commander is by all standarts our emperor, but yet a busy man, who obviously doesn't have to do the dirty work here, as you can see", Rosk replied, seemingly charming, although his amused smile was barely hiding how displeased he was by the disturbance, "And neither has he seen how magnificent this rainforest is and how wonderful it is to take a morning bath within this beautiful lake. And about the female Togruta employers, we better not speak..." Rosby felt the urge to kinda correct 'employers' to 'work slaves' or 'lust objects', but he didn't dare to speak up, as the gouvernor continiued with his excuses. "So I dare say, that after overseeing the construction of an entire mining complex and a landing area for shuttles nearby the facility, we have already set a good base for the future colony within Rosk Valley! We're here in the middle of nowhere, guarded by two Acclamators and an Imperial Star Destroyer in orbit, while we have a Predator squad stationed within the facility, just in case that the locals make us trouble. Hah! If they even come that far! The wildlife here kills them faster than you would expect!" As it kills our men as well, Rosby thought worried, when remembering that ten Stormtroopers had to sacrifice their lifes, when the gouvernor recently took his bath, as he was nearly ambushed by a local predator. Since then they only went around with the AT-AT walker, as it was probably slower, but better fortified against the creatures in the wilderness. "Thus, my dear Rosby, why again do I need these planetary generators straight away?", the gouvernor concluded finally, probably to calm himself down, "Nobody knows that we are here except for the locals we allow to work within our mining facility, there are no actual threats we currently face on the planet and I'm tired to twirling my thumbs, just because 'The Supreme Commander said so'. Leave the thinking to higher authorities, Lieutenant Rosby, and then, when you have realized that questioning your superiors doesn't lead to anything productive, you will be thankful, when we have elevated you into the position of being my successor. After all we will need a Moff gouverning this sector as well, once we're finished with taking down the entire forest, while turning it into an Imperial miner town. So, any further questions?"
As Rosby wanted to remind the gouvernor, that the two Acclamators and the Imperial Star Destroyer were stationed in the Noctralis system currently in order to investigate for local pirate groups, which are rumored to strife through this system frequently, he gave up the very moment, when Rosk teased him once again with a potential promotion within near future. With greed in his eyes he diligently nodded, as he was maybe one step closer in order to step up the career ladder further. "I... so far not, Sir", he quickly replied with a respectful salute, "Your wisdom only rivals the one of the Supreme Commander, my gouvernor, thus I apologize if I ever thought of questioning them." With a fond smile, Tarnan Rosk patted the shoulder of his underling. "Gooood... very good, Rosby!", he laughed in his excentric manner, "Then I hope you and my hand maidens are prepared for a nice walk along the lake side - I spotted few days ago a fascinating bird, so with some luck we earn myself a hunting trophy along the way as well."

Shuddering violently, the T-85 sped through the thin air and continued to climb. The pilot winced; he knew that the vibration was from the massive booster attached to the rear of the fighter, but he still didn’t like the sound. The results were hard to beat, though, and he leaned forward as his fighter continued climbing through the stratosphere. As he bunted over a few seconds later, mist spat out of the air conditioning vents, prompting him to close them up and switch to the internal conditioning system. There! Three distinct groups of dark flecks against the puffy clouds, about 5 miles away. TIE/fo Fighters. A little lower than him and not turning towards the flight of four X-Wings. He’d seen it before: they were going directly for the lumbering, slow-moving bombers. Much like other escort missions he had been on, these MG-1000 Star Fortresses were loaded to the brim with explosives. Operation Quick Strike, a small Resistance airborne assault, had begun the day before. Two dozen commandos had been dropped by covert transports in the capital city, they were tasked to destroy infrastructure, conduct espionage, and generally undermine the efforts of the Empire on this world. Commander Lothar Von Richthofen shook his head, staring at the distant First Order fighters. Maybe it would work. He was a fighter pilot, not a ground soldier, but dropping the Resistance’s most skilled troops into enemy territory without any support didn’t seem like a great idea. Then, of course, a few of the soldiers landed right on top of two Storm Commando divisions that had been put up in a village for rest. Talk about a bad break... Which is why he was here right now. The lightly armed paratroopers were unable to destroy the massive Imperial Complex that was on the planet, which was making their life hell. So these bombers had to get through. As the com channel erupted with chatter, he raised his visor and squinted up at the light blue sky. That was where the threat would be- the new TIE fighter. From higher up and incredibly, unbelievably fast. Sunlight flashed off silvery metal as the T-70 nearest to the bombers ramped over and dove at the TIEs. His job this fine morning was covering the high ground against any Silencers that showed up. You just never knew.

Glancing down, Richthofen reached around the stick and touched a toggle switch on the console. It was up, where it should be, in the GUNS CAMERA AND SIGHT position that armed his weapons and filmed whatever he shot. The glowing green dot on the combining transparasteel could be activated with the camera for training, and it all looked the same. He wouldn’t be the first pilot to squeeze the trigger and have nothing happen because the damn switch was in the wrong position. Methodically scanning the sky, he then glanced at the line of fighters floating loosely several miles above the surface of Shili. Most retained their silver paint along the top surfaces, except for an individually colored strip along the nose to the cockpit. Some had engines painted purple, others yellow, still others red, blues, and all manner of things in between. The cowling had a white edge on all the fighters, to denote their part in the Flying Circus, and most of the 18 inch in diameter black and white crests denoting their allegiance to the Galactic Alliance had been removed by now. It didn’t matter; they were beautiful fighters. It always amazed him how motionless flying in atmosphere seemed unless you were passing a cloud or looking down at the ground. Or in a dogfight. Up ahead a deadly spiderweb of green and white lasers began streaking over, into, and below the bomber formation. Darting beams of light merged together like a swarm of gnats and began twisting together. A bring flash popped from the mess and a fighter dropped away, trailing smoke. Then another... and another. His headset was alive with voices: excited yelling from the newer guys and much calmer, terse directives from the veterans, who sometimes didn’t say anything at all. Suddenly, the T-70 to his left sparkled brilliantly and he flinched, surprised, as it staggered, pieces breaking loose and fluttering away. As he opened his mouth to call out, a black, flat, heavily streamlined and aerodynamic ship flashed past overhead, headed for the bombers.

The Silencer! Actually, there were two of them. He shoved the throttle forward and dumped his nose to follow, keying the mike at the same time. Ringleader here... Greenhouse Yellow One’s got bandits... your seven o’clock level... inbound fast... Silencers! Like a thoroughbred out of the gate, the X-Wing surged ahead as the Incom-FreiTek 5L5 fusial thrust Split-engines spun up. Jettisoning his auxiliary fuel tanks, Richthofen looked to see his wingmen do the same as the powerful turbofans bit hard into the thin air. Gre-Yellow Two is hit! Hit... I’m... The pilot checked his mike and shot a glance at the map on his console for an approximate position. Close to a small industrial center... it was the best he could do. In a matter of seconds the T-85 accelerated past 1,100 miles per hour, and he stared through the clear transparasteel in front of him at the mess laid out before him. The bombers had all turned north towards the I.P.O.F. Sarlacc, and he could see a few X-Wings in the vicinity. The rest were all below him, wrapped up with the Imperials. Black smoke trails hung in the air, most curving straight down, but others streamed west, as wounded TIEs tried to make it back home. One of the Starfortresses was spinning in, and another looked like it had lost most of its right wing. The Silencers had slashed through the bomber formation then disappeared. Below, to his right a dark, compact fighter turned wildly with three... no four X-Wings. The matte black colored fighter was plain to see as the skillfull pilot pirouetted away from the other planes. Kicking the pedals, Richthofen skidded his X-Wing sideways and was about to jump in from above when he caught movement to the east. The Silencer again. This time only one. Greenhouse Yellow One... tally bandit... three o’clock level... ah, three miles...

Suddenly a flash, then the target was shot. Yet it missed. Scared to death the exotic bird flew away as the Gouvernor clumsily looked up, not noticing that it was already in the air. "Did I hit it, Rosby?", Tarnan Rosk asked sceptical, "If so, where is it?" "You missed, Sir, but it was a close shot", Lieutenant Rosby lied, while he nervously looked around, as he was used to. Most of the First Order's Storm Troopers, which traveled with the gouvernor were patrolling around them as they scanned the area for potential threats, while the AT-AT parked behind them in safe distance. The two Togruta girls, which Rosk picked this time to accompany him stood behind him, where one held a parasol over him, wheras the other carefully waved some air into his direction with a large fan. Judging their expression they had a hard time in looking happy and joyful about their job, but given the guard presence and the gouvernor's mood, they probably didn't dare to protest. "Hah, these birds are fast!", the Imperial leader of the nearby facility laughed heartly, while shaking his head in disbelief, "You should have seen me, when I fought as an AT-ST pilot during the battle of Aargau twenty years ago! Hah! I hit like a dozen of those rebel scumbags while driving them out of their little shitholes like the rats they were! Ah, the good old times within the Remnant... Even had the honor to execute one turncloak, who wanted to betray us! God, I was good back then-" "Sir, the facility is under attack!", one of the Stormtrooper captains suddenly said out lout, as he interrupted with his filtered voice through the helmet the tragic story of Tarnan Rosk the Wise. Much to the anger of said gouvernor, who didn't realize that the captain was serious. "I don't have time for fooling around", he replied sharply while shaking his head in disbelief, "The base is under attack? Hah! By what? Indegenous spearmen? Don't be ridiculous, captain!" "Sir, he is right though! Look into the distance!", Rosby suddenly yelled, while pointing straight at the mushroom-like complex where not only smoke arose from the facility, but where as well multiple starfighters in dogfight could be spotted. It was hard to tell afterwards whether the gouvernor's face was always looking that pale within the hot climate of Shili or if his skin had changed its tone within seconds, as he looked fearful up, like a little pig in front of a butcher.
"Rosby, you fool, why haven't you told me!?", he yelled angrily towards the intimidated Lieutenant who couldn't do more but to salute, "Don't look at me like this, hurry! Back to the AT-AT! Blast them off the sky! Rebells! Rebells in my base! By the Emperor, why has nobody told me!? Am I surrounded by fools or what!? Move you idiots!" Without further standing still, each of the troopers, including the lower ranked officer did as they were told, while the gouvernor still held his tantrum, although it was worth to note, that he was the first to reach the AT-AT, as he was growing nervous now as well.
Rosby already saw his career melting, while he climbed up in order to make it to the AT-AT. Although he trusted in the air force, which defended the base, the Imperial facility upon the planet hasn't reached its maximum security level as there was only a second AT-AT present at the base - the other one would probably take half an hour until it reached the facility. And in that time the invaders were either repelled or gone. Same would apply to the fleet - although the base command probably contacted them, it would take them a while until they jumped from one system to another. Nontheless he remained confident - even without its full defense potential, the air force around the base still posed a threat for any potential invader. Along with TIE/fo's and TIE Predators a small squad of Silencers were also present. They would most likely save the day, as otherwise the entire mission of the Imperial gouvernment on Shili would take a faster end before its establishment even began!

Flipping the T-85 over, he sliced to the right as his two surviving wingmen trolled and maneuvered to stay with him. The TIE/vn was about three miles away, sliding across the horizon like a cruising shark. As he watched, the thing cranked up on one foil and turned in toward the bombers.
Yellow Three, tally one...
The Starfortresses were heading due north. Racing in from the southwest was the Silencer, and theee X-Wings we’re right in the middle. With a combined closing velocity of several thousand kilometers per hour, there was less than ten seconds until firing range-no time for anything fancy.
Ten... nine...
And the Imperial never hesitated. Aiming straight at him, Lothar Von Richthofen stared through the Transparasteel reflector of his sight. He’d already set the dial at 6.6 meters to account for the standard TIEs wingspan and didn’t bother to change it. The Silencer was a little bigger, but it wouldn’t matter. His throttle was all the way forward, and Richthofen pushed it hard enough to feel the safety cord break. It moved another two inches, activating the booster engine. This could only be used twice, since it could, and did, burn itself up.
Six... five...
He also twisted the throttle grip counterclockwise till the range indicator indicated 2,400 feet. The green aiming pipper stayed as it was, but the circle formed by the six surrounding diamonds shrank as the range setting was increased. The electronic gunsight was a marvel that calculated the laser required for deflection shots and compensated for all physical factors. All the pilot had to do was put the pipper on the target, twist the grip until the diamonds matched the wingspan, and open fire.
Three... two...
Left hand rock steady on the throttle and his right hand on the stick, the pilot instinctively nudged the controls to keep the pipper on the deadly-looking fighter. What a strange looking fighter.
One...
Lothar kept the pipper on the red glass and hammered down, the X-Wing instantly vibrating against the recoil of four laser cannons firing at once. Older X-Wings had dangerous overheating problems because the cannons were overcharged in order to fire all four at once. Not so with this X-Wing; all four guns were firelinked to fire 1,200 laser blasts per minute per weapon. The lasers streaked out, and even as Richthofen let up, the Imperial’s wings sparkled green as he fired in return.
Richthofen quit firing, his two second burst having sent more than 120 lasers at the other plane. Pushing over savagely, he kicked the left engines and twitched the stick, skidding the T-85 down and right as the Imperial’s lasers went exactly where he’d just been.
The Silencer zipped past, and the X-Wing pilot corkscrewed his fighter around, nose low, and pulled. Taking a deep breath against the g’s, his inertial dampeners been slightly damaged by the enemy fighter, he felt the air bladders on his G-suit inflate and for once was grateful to be wearing the damn thing. Both wingmen cross-turned above him, then sliced back to bring their noses to bear.
With the stick in his lap, Richthofen brought the nose around in the direction of the bombers to cut off the Silencer, but he wasn’t there! Blinking against the glare, he swallowed.
Not there.
Then he saw the smoke. A thin, dark trail that curved around to the south. Reversing his turn, he followed the smoke with his eyes and saw the Silencer. Two miles away already and arcing toward the ground, now heading southeast, back toward the capital city. Ya got ‘em, Yellow One...

Well... a piece of him, anyway.
His number three man sounded relieved. Fighting something that different was disconcerting, especially after being told the new T-70 and T-85 X-Wings were the best fighters in the world. And the men flying the Silencers were no novices; the TIE/vns were too valuable for that.
Richthofen shook his head and watched a second longer before banking smoothly around to the north. Pulling the throttle back, he set a cruise speed of around 900 kilometers per hour and glanced over the gauges. All good. Exhaling, he checked his fuel and then the weapons indicator to see how many more shots he could get off before they would need stop functioning. Everything was fine.
For a brief moment Lothar Von Richthofen felt everything: heart thudding against his chest, the deep hum of the split Incom-Freitek engines, the low thumping and booms as the two remaining bombers unleashed their payloads upon the massive, mushroom shaped building, reducing it to little more than a massive crater, and his quick breathing slowly returning to normal as he watched the orange and red tendrils reach up towards the heavens. Cool air from the vents drying the sweat on his neck, and the pilot sighed, shaking his head. He would’ve loved to send the Imperial down in flames and watch the beautifully dangerous Silencer break apart under his laser cannons. To fight and not kill was frustrating.
But if the X-Wings hadn’t been there, then the TIE/vn would’ve shredded those bombers and the mission would have been lost. Squirming against his harness, he took a deep breath and shrugged. It was enough this time. And besides, Richthofen thought as he and his fighter wing raced away from the surface as the orange of the setting sun cast a beautiful light over the clouds, there would be other Imperials on another day.
There always were.

With the bombardment of the facility, the entire structure collapsed as one of the bombs had found its way straight into a critical area of the entire complex. Without any further reinforcements on shield generators, the Star Fortresses' Proton bombs wrecked havoc upon the durasteel armour of the complex while cracking open the ship shelters main engine power source in the process. Exploding from the inside, the entire facility went down to ashes, as it incinerated Stormtroopers, officers and other Imperial residents alike - even the AT-AT-walker outside, which fired a few desperate shots was blown away by the detonation, falling helpless to the ground as well before meeting its doom within further reactor explosions, following as a chain reaction. Richthofen had a lucky sight, which was although interrupted by the sudden presence of the first Acclamator- Star Destroyer, which was drawn back from a nearby system in order to hunt after the squad - yet it was already too late as his squad has reached the lower orbit already. A second ship would follow, actually trying to persue them, while an Imperial Star Destroyer jumped out of hyper space as well - yet too late to prevent the Resistance ships from escaping into hyperspace as well. The First Order had lost its command post on Shili within minutes - a fateful day.
Later...
"Rosby, this is your fault", was the conclusion of Gouvernor Tarnan Rosk, as he walked slowly through the crater area, where the Imperial facility exploded half an hour ago, "The report will show that the problem was tied within the failed planning of my loyal subjects! Horrendous!" "But Sir, I-", an astonished Lieutenant Rosby tried to bring out although he was interrupted harshly by the dethroned commander of the previous operation. "I will not stand for your failure, Rosby!", the Gouvernor now yelled with a red head, while the solely watchers were the twelve Stormtroopers, who previously escorted them, the AT-AT being guarded in the backgroundof the desolate scenery, "This was not supposed to happen! Everything was planned out, the mining operation, the landing zone, the area for the shield generator, which we had to prepare, the fleet... AH THE FLEET! I will blame this on Admiral Quentyn! Yes, it's his fault as well! Why were his forces stationed in the Noctralis-system!? This was against the order! Tell me, Rosby, why were they there!? ANSWER ME, ROSBY!" "Sir... but you... you sent them there for hunti-" "Rosby!!!"
Somewhere in the distance some apelike aliens screeched in panic atop the rainforest trees, as the sound of Gouvernor Rosk's frustration could be heard over the open plain of junk, stretched over kilometers. An awkward silence followed as the proud Imperial simply stared down his Lieutenant in furious anger and desperation, as he probably even realized himself, that his own career was now in danger. The operation on Shili had failed massively. Via intercom Admiral Quentyn has told the Stormtrooper captain already, that they were chasing after the rebell squad although their chances of catching up to them were low. Shuttles to save the survivors of the facility would be sent soon, once the fleet returns to the system. Neither was the situation good on the mining side a few kilometers distant of the former facility, as no word has spread from it, when the explosion occured. Rosby presumed that the enslaved locals had probably risen up in rebellion, now that the majority of reserves which otherwise would have prevented an uprising were missing - the Gouvernor assumed it was just an error with the Comlinks, as the facility went down, but the Lieutenant wasn't certain about it.
As he stared at the Gouvernor, turning solely his back on him, while shaking silently his head, as he intended to leave the crater, the Lieutenant remained where he was. It was over anyways, one way or another. Even if Rosk managed to blame the entire failure on the defense of the facility upon every military force and present officer within the system, there won't be another mission for Shili. Producing an IPOF like the 'Sarlacc' would be too costworthy - and if it was considered again, the Supreme Commander wouldn't assign them to repeat it. Delvardus would know that the Gouvernor failed in executing the tasks he was ordered to accomplish, while Rosk as his direct underling would be held guilty for not reporting the Gouvernor's failure. One way or another, there was no way out. Intel would find the truth, as they always do and report it to the Emperor himself in case of doubt. Then it was over for both of them. Matthew Rosby hesitated, as his hand laid suddenly on his weapon belt. Should he...? "Rosby, what are you waiting for?", the voice of his superior was heard by him from afar, "Why am I always surrounded by idiots? Move your ass up, Lieutenant or I-"
What Harnan Rosk would have done to his faithful Lieutenant Rosby would never be heard by the surprised officer, as suddenly the impact of heavy laser cannon fire vaporized the former Gouvernor within seconds. Within brief seconds there was utter chaos breaking out, as the Stormtrooper squad searched for cover, when the AT-AT was not only moving alongside the crater, but also pointed his side canons straight into their directions. Rosby shook his head, seeking shelter nearby a fellow trooper, as he watched the chaos unfolding. How was this possible? Turncoats within the ranks of the First Order? Another salve was fired, obliterating completely the area, where the desperate captain of the squad tried to rally his troops. Nothing except for a few heavily wounded troopers remained, their cries and pain filling the air along with the smell of burnt flesh and blood. The rest of the squad abbandoned the position of the astonished officer, who couldn't do more, but raise his hands in defeat as he stepped out of his small hideout. It was over anyways. The head of the AT-AT turned in his direction, the laser cannons being made ready for another shot. It was during that moment, that Rosby remembered something. The Togruta girls were on board among with a few crew members, seemingly posing no threat. In mind the Imperial officer tried to imagine, how proud they must feel right now to have fooled both him and his superior in letting them believe that they were nothing more than weak servants. Who would have known that they would turn out to be spies, being sent by either the Galactic Alliance or someone else. That's why the rebells knew the location - they had always access to the coordinates, as Rosk had made them their favorites. We were betrayed the moment, we landed on this planet. With this last thought, another salve was fired and engulfed the frightened Lieutenant, as it was finally over.

Patrolling between the cities of Shili was a dangerous business for any soldier. As a result, the forts and garrisons were kept within the cities and along their outskirts. If one could not thoroughly patrol the wilds and trees, they'd at least conserve their strength and protect the natives and their homes. Walkers and armored vehicles went about the edges of the woods and, sometimes, if nests were found, flametroopers would be deployed, alongside heavy infantry, to clear them out and keep them away from civilization. There were definitely dangerous creatures here, ones that could swallow a stormtrooper and even take a good bite out of an armored tank. This was why the garrison officers were smart enough to learn quickly. Even if bandits ran into the woods, it was better to stay out of the wilds. Best let nature kill off troublemakers than risk their own lives. It was carefully done; all the patrols, the checkpoints, and such. People needed to be protected, they didn't need dead soldiers.

Despite the best efforts of security forces, when the pirates launched their well coordinated raid, it was impossible to properly respond. The raiders had first hit the com stations, preventing any out going messages being sent, and then they split their focus. One force would raid the planet of any materials or credits they could find while the other smaller force infiltrated one of the key power plants for the perfect escape diversion.
The raiding itself took a deep toll on the population, but that didn't compare to when the bombs went off. The power planets core went critical and launched a wave of destruction miles wide. Weather this level of destruction was the pirates intent or not, no one could say. But the planet and it's inhabitants were in dire need of aid that simply could not be mustered by this Oversector alone.

Two Auxilia Star Destroyers touched down a few clicks form the radiation zone. There size couldn't get them closer, but this would work well. Security teams deployed to set up a secured parameter and the aid stations. Other speeders and landing craft, raced off into the hazard areas to provide response. Landing craft form Task Force one made planet fall to evac people to space that could make the trip to the care of the frigate. They were cautious, but they were here to save lives, others were hunters and investigators.

Aranrhod's Akul Hunt (ya.... gotta admit myself that is pretty weak but I stand by it....) Way, far-er up a Wayfarer medium freighter broke into Shili atmosphere. Rhiannon at the helm was very familiar with the planet. As usual Rhiannon found the slow descent towards the surface highly emotional. Sadness and fear however, which were almost overwhelming the poor girl at this very moment, were not the feelings that she would generally associate with Shili. Eye brows ceasing and teeth clenching she readied for a tough landing. Muttered low as the ship docked the girl said-Rhiannon- "Then things get tougher...." After bringing the vessel down the docking bay of an out of the way spaceport, the girls began communicating with family and friends The pair had deliberately been avoiding the planet of their birth for some time. Now they returned. The welcome would be moving, to say the least A guide, Draach Xey, actually volunteered to help Aranrhod track down one of the monstrous Akul. All of this news came to the two girls a after their arrival. They were waitingwhen the man walked up to them. He was tall and muscular and had a strange aura of knowledge about him -Draach Xey- "Comrro ke bhat det dua Akul - ku?" Rhiannon gave the man a courteous nod but was quite. On the other hand, Aranrhod stepping forward boldly staying -Aranrhod - "Mi det unt. " The man was suddenly standing much straighter, as if he were a soldier in front of an officer. Escorting the sisters to his speeder and helping them into seats, the hunt begun

The three, the naturalist, lacking a superior word to call him, plus Rhiannon and Aranrhod had been escorted in a vehicle a stretch but took to their feet as they searched. As Aranrhod steeled herself her for the task ahead her thoughts turned to history. The history of slaying the magnificent beast. An Akul. Singlehandedly at that. This was a celebrated tradition among their people that born in ancient times. Yet all but a scarce few the many who dared attempt this feat of iron courage and raw strength had ever achieved slaying an Akul singlehandedly. Names from this fabled immediately sprung to mind, Shakk Ti, the celebrated Jedi, being high among these. Stopping cold for a moment the girl spoke aloud -Aranrhod- "ko d'Ahsoka Tano?" Jedi or not, Ahsoka walked on water to Aranrhod . Yloung And full of piss And vinegar.... And so she filled her mind while walking along carefully in the hunt At the same time that her sister mused over the stories of those who had slain an Akul Rhiannon could not stop the thoughts and vivid images flashing through her mind. And none were of dispatching one of the vicious animals. No. All that was filling the young woman's mind were of her sister being ripped apart by an Akul. But she could not stop this hunt. She was deeply conflicted as to what she would do if.... If necessary she would intervene? And in this manner of thinking Rhiannon was wholly absorbed Then Draak spoke. The words were rendered as little more than a whisper but both girls sprung up out of their inner thought when the man made his announcement -Draak Xey- "Yut yeh ge!" But maybe six meters away from them two handsome young Akul lay surveying their domain. They were simply see inspiring. And the one Togruta girl remarked simply -Aranrhod- "Du svhau...." Rhiannon, jaw slightly agape simply stared. This was it; No turning back. Looking from Aranrhod to the Akul then back again an involuntary shudder rocked Rhiannon's body. Shaking off the sudden physical expression of her mental stress, it was then that Rhiannon first took notice of the many around them. Just how many people were following them she had no idea And while she was distracted her sister, initiating the ritual began to step forward -Draak Xey- "Set!" And with that the man stole away to the left. He really needs to get a lot better at tracking, so she thought. Then it dawned on her that the man was intentionally moving so. Looking back to the two Akul she watched both guy in the direction of the noise. But only one actually stood and went to investigate. That left one alone with her. Now the girl stepped forward

The Buildup: Aranrhod speaking low called on a deity to watch over her -Aranrhod- "Kodali! Strrida ek mi na yeh sa...." And her sister, now near in tears pleaded to the same deity saying -Rhiannon- "Strrida ek du s'mahr, Aranrhod, yey sa eh det keno!" Then stepping forward Aranrhod slipped a dagger from sheath. Across from the two Togruta the beast began to rear up But before the Togruta and Akul began fighting, sickening screams rang out. Rhiannon and Aranrhod alike immediately identified these pleas to belong to the man who had helped them by tracking Akul down. Then lead one of the Akul away from them. Fine man. One whom both girls could pretty confident was dead, or heading there fast. And how the poor soul howled -Draak Xey- "Omak! Omak! Omak! Nah! Nah! Mi nah! K'ya ke savh! Ahhhhhhhhhh...." The sounds of the man dying, ( so the wrong time for this word), off and were drowned by the growls of the beast Eyes widening in shock at the harrowing pleas from a man being eaten alive, only to thin once again in anger, asAranrhod began advancing towards the Aluk -Aranrhod- "Mig ke svah!" The beast lay watching the girl advance on him but did not immediately move

OoC: Much of the following is rendered in Basic on account of several considerations. Foremost, my own knowledge of the Togruta language is remedial at best and I apologize to that end. But also it is my opinion that the story is far more accessible when offered largely in Basic/Euglish. Thank you kind reader and once again my apologies BiC: What would transpire next would be recorded in the history texts rendered by the finest academics of Shili history and told in the tales of the Togruta people. A horrifying story of blood and human loss and the legend of the little girl who win or lose took on a monster Traditionally those who were masters of Aga Te'ama, or Old Word in Basic, were central to Togruta culture. And a number of these esteemed individuals were among the growing crowd that had amassed to observe the showdown. These crowds became more and more visible as the conflict grew more heated. Indeed, there was heated dialogue among the onlookers concerning the clash set to transpire As an example of such consider the following. Both Assota Laa and Kesh Terlen were women among the onlookers. The verbal exchange between two of the more vocal spectators in the crowd, one Assota Law and the other Kesh Terlen, in their dialogue finely illustrate the atmosphere. Things became heated after the one woman spoke -Assota Laa- "Comrro so!!! Shau!!! Dhak det behm!" to This Kesh Terlen asked -Kesh Terlen- "Rooting for the Native are you now?" To which Assota replied -Assota- "Unt mjet du behm." Snorting in a laugh Kesh pronounced -Kesh Terlen- "Then you as I myself have your bet on the beast, it being a pure blood product of Shili." To this Assota felt the hair on the back of her neck stand up; mouth peice beside her was going to be swallowing those sharp teeth now lodged in her jaws. Enter the respected Elder, Bona Vas, into this little confrontation Like any of the others, Bona Vas had been drawn to this spontaneous event by curiosity and held their by pride. She heard the exchange between Assota and Kesh but said nothing until she heard the last words out of the mouth of Kesh. Stepping up she loudly declared -Bona Vas- "Det meh'a e' Togruta!" Her eyes now glaring down on Kesh -Bona vas- "Ghek du te'ama?" The Elder then went back to observing the battle set to go. Face tightening she noticed the girl ahead of the crowd but back from the brewing fight. "Det sa'mahr...." Bona winced upon her eyes meeting the pretty green ones belonging to Rhiannon. The girl was afraid for her kin and Bona's heart poured out to her. But that could wait, so Bona thought, turning her attention back to what from what in her experience would be over in seconds. It was about to come down. She could feel it....

The Climax: Aranrhod stealthily edged forward. Everything that she had been taught, everything that she had experienced. All these years of learning would be tested in but a few seconds. Heart racing and mind a mess of thoughts, the girl was nonetheless well composed. mMoreso than she ever was before. A thin smile crossing her face. Then.... The beast suddenly sprung up taking a swat at her face with a giant right paw. Dodging to the right and leaping forward she was lucky escaping the swipe entire. The next time she would not be so lucky. Reaching out with left and grabbing blindly the girl caught the animal by the fur on the back of the neck. Pulling herself in close she took a thrust with her weapon and mounted the animal. Just before it rolled. Due to the combination of the Akul being so powerful and the girl so small, the latter was sent flying like a ragdoll Aranrhod came slowly to her feet approximately five meters away. Foot would be more accurate, considering that she had twisted, possibly even broke, the left ankle. Her left knee too was also injuried. The left side of the ribcage hurt. Broken she wondered or just badly bruised. And.... And looking out in front of her the girl came to the brutal realization. None of that mattered; she no longer had her knife.... And was about to be eaten.... Slow and low the Akul crept setting up for the final strike at the Togruta girl. Head down the legs of the animal became visibly tense. This same position he had assumed hundreds of times in a short life. All would be very quick. She was spent. He could smell it. Now all that was left was to strike and get hold of her neck. The Akul fell over on his left side Approaching the body carefully Aranrhod stood less then a meter away from the fallen beast watching as the animal went through through the final spasms of life. Noticing the blunt black handle protruding from the beast, just under the front right shoulder she exclaimed -Aranrhod- "Brrga! Du shhk!" She began to bend over to retrieve the blade but stood back up quickly saying -Aranrhod- "Kuhk d'behm meh'a...." Then tossing all of that caution to the wind she bent over again, taking the handle of the knife in her right hand and violently twisting the blade then pulling it from the body. Standing with both hands in the air, one holding a bloody knife the girl screamed -Aranrhod- "E mehkt!!!" And in a spontaneous e exhibition sheer joy, Aranrhod commenced dancing around the corpse singing "E mehkt! E murky E mehkt!!! E mehkt! E mehkt!!! E mehkt!!! E mehkt!!! E mehkt!!"

Just As your Togruta were extemporaneously dancing about singing the Shili dance craze"E mehkt!" or rendered in Basic "It's dead", her another Akul, carrying the a severed head of Draach Xey, came unexpectedly charging into the open when out sprang Rhiannon, burying a broad-axe deed in the animals skull. And hence, whilst the growing number of the native Togruta were dancing around bowling at the top of their lungs "E mehkt!!! E mehkt!!! E mehkt!!!", Aranrhod and Rhiannon were enjoying their new status of being among the scarce few who could justly claim dispatching an Akul by themselves

The girls were intoxicated with the celebration of their victory over the beasts. For a time. It seemed as if the drunken feeling created by a spontaneous act, or in this case, as more often than not, the plural acts , wore out fast. And the aftereffects were particularly painful. So, as their own continued dealing their virtues they desperately wished to move on to the next level of their journey through life. They were in luck; Bona Vas was among the many present As the party heightened and more were drawn into the festivities, Bona walked among the others, involved yet somehow removed from the whole affair. She observed. And one thing in particular interested the woman. Strolling among the participants in the festivities Bona found herself standing in front of the two young warriors -Bona Vas- "Yehsa da! Sa mi te'ann boshka yehsa so yeh du keno grut?" Brows raising she waited The two stood frozen for a long moment; they had just been offered compliment from one of the highest order . At last it was Rhiannon who stepped forward bowing deep and speaking somewhat flustered -Rhiannon- "Ku! Ku! Yehsa da ke yeh! Sa yehsa behm te'ama dhak mi och'nah!" Smiling in response to Rhiannon the aged woman was fast to address the silence of Aranrhod, saying -Bona Vas- "Yeh svah nah te'ama." Head turning but slight to the right the elder watched close. And she listened closer Aranrhod did not delay, stating bluntly -Aranrhod- "Yeh te'ann nah te'ama ke kuhk du k'ya ke ge ahway." To which Rhiannon's eyes widened and mouth dropped open in shock Bona Vas, quite conversely, was in stitches laughing. And she said, as a mere statement of fact -Bona Vas- "Te'ann it et e do yeh nah?" Brushing by this statement she asked -Bona Vas- "Ko do yeh k'ya?"

Rhiannon had been observing the exchange in shock. She was herself had little fear of anyone but this was indeed bold of her sister to address such a respected an elder in this manner. So hoping to help she spoke up -Rhiannon- "Ku!!! Mi sa! Mi sa!" As one might notice oft happens, complex converse can easily break down to people speaking and acting like children. Such being the case here. Trying to maintain her cool, Bona Vas spoke in the most basic of terms asking -Bona Vas - "Ko?" Lucily, Rhiannon was more than willing to accommodate the elder and simply said -Rhiannon- "Ke tohg'a."
