And so it came to pass that Aranrhod and Rhiannon sat in conference with Bona Vas. Minutes spiralling into hours and this in turn to days.... At last an impatient Aranrhod asked -Aranrhod- "Ko e'dek eh yau, na yeh sa och aga unt?" And Bona Vas dat on this query for some time without even acknowledging that anything had been noted to her. After a time Aranrhod, considering that she was being ignored, or perhaps the question had been forgotten, asked again -Aranrhod- "Aga Meht, mi nah tsu; yeh gehk du yihl. Bhat det watap, na yeh sa." She was forceful but only as such that she asked a second time. Time dragged on and the wretched night at last was broken by the dawn' s early light

With the six heavenly bodies that ruled the night sky over Shili having given way to the sun and consequently the light of day, the time for high talk seemed to have passed by. Rhiannon and Aranrhod sat still before the now dying fire. And Aranrhod had pretty much given up waiting when up rose the voice of Bona Vas -Bona Vas- "Nay unt te'ann a te'ama; Mi te'ama e' ge....." She spoke slow and clear, all the while looking down to the ground at her feet. Her voice suddenly rising up decisively -Bona Vas- "Aranrhod; Rhiannon, yeh prrrishk'ti du te'ama!" Dropping back down she continued -Bona Vas- "Ge dau det Togruta boshk ek ko yeh dau!!!" The last words were thunderous, as the fact of Bona Vas swept those present, almost as if she wished a challenge

As the word was being given, other things of great significance transpired around them. Foremost was the work fashioning two headresses. Pearls of the sea and precious stones were collected also, along with some metals. Central to all of these articles were the teeth pulled from the mouths of the two Akul. These ceremonial items, one for Aranrhod and the other for Rhiannon, were of tremendous significance in Togruta culture Other elders too were now present also. Dozon Ne, Tonza By and Vorhik Vykriikis, among others. But none could trump the importance of Bona Vas herself. The girls sat as the work collecting the elements manipulated to make the crowns, lacking a better term, was completed

There The twins, Rhiannon and Aranrhod sat, now wearing the headdress signifying that each had slain an Akul singlehandedly. It was a proud moment indeed. Addressing Bona Vas, who wore a similar crown of honor herself, Rhiannon did inquire quite innocently -Rhiannon- "Ko mig eh yau comrro svhau d'det Akul?" The group fell silent. And the aged Bona Vas did say -Bona Vas- "Prrishk'ti du te'ama." And she told her tale. The silence was absolute as the elder wove her tale And so a time honoured tradition at each and every ceremony of the kind began, where all of the elders present shared their own story of slaying their first Akul. Rhiannon looking from one elder to the next spoke -Rhiannon- "Unt da mjet tunga...." Quietly said her words may well have been (truth be told this was an inner thought that the poor girl spoke aloud) but they caught the attention of all the elders. One sharply came back snapping -Tonza By- "Yehsa a'na." But the raising hand of Bona Vas cut anything further down -Gone Vas- "Tohg'ha yeh k'ya?" All eyes wide fixing on the girl - Bona Vas- "Ge ke Grainne Mhaol so Juvex sa och ko e'ke comrro dek."

Both Rhiannon and Aranrhod sat just staring at the Aga Agu Unt, which was a difficult term for some in translation at times, it literally translating as 'Old Wise One' in Basic. As example in present company at four were immediately identifiable, with others in the audience. That said, to Togruta familiar with their own culture, these people were quite readily known. Hence, with that small issue that could trouble some weird we can move ahead with our story Many, with the ceremony and following feast finished, had left. Those cleaning up and she stragglers were still at The core group, that being the Aga Agu Unt and the two girls still elders remained. Bona Vas addressed the women further. Her right finger pointing with every word Bona Vas added -Bona Vas - "Na yeh comrro me dunga strrida so det toh'ga? The finger swinging side to side as did her head; near universally recognized as meaning 'no', she added sternly -Bona Vas- "Te'ann so du te'ama yey tohg'ha!" Then sitting back the woman waited

Standing abruptly, right hand resting on left breast Aranrhod did declare solemnly -Aranrhod- "Yehsa! Yehsa! Dau Bona Vas." After the abrupt exhibition of shamelessly heaping praise on the Elder, Aranrhod sat the parliamentary side of Her arse whereas it was previously situated Both hands rising in protest the Elder said -Bona Vas- "Do nah mah."

The exchange was long. But profitable for all. So Rhiannon thought. Standing she spoke -- "Du sa-mahr unt mi k'ya ke och kee och'sa mka. Och na e' yehsa ke ge." Ingesting the words the Elder with an outward wave of right hand answered -Bona Vas- "Ku ye sa." And with that the two bowed and left As they walked to the ship Aranrhod pointedly asked he sibling -Aranrhod- "We can cut the pretentious use of Ryl?" Not even a heartbeat after her sister having finished the other said but one word -Rhiannon- "Ku!" And the two began hysterically laughing. Reaching their jalopy Aranrhod kissed the ship. The hatch dropping the two entered and began rifling through their possessions. And they spoke. Privately -Rhiannon- "That was a big deal - we two knocking off those two beasts."

The two other with the equipment that they had, while rattling about what they had acquired. They were both now sporting headdresses, which was the greatest accomplishment one from their society could achieve. But now it was down to basics. One girl spoke -Aranrhod- "Ko dec? Mi och det ke och'se maka." After the last words the girl laughed -Aranrhod- "Na mi sa ghu och e' det unt." Waving the laughter off her sister answered short -Rhiannon- " Yeh e mi ge leh'na. On a more isolated part of the Southern Continent, a contingent of Stormtroopers began clearing up an area for reasons unknown. New orders from the Emperor's office himself was enough to ensure there weren't any questions asked. Commander Nero, officer of the 45th Garrison Regiment, directed the effort in clearing up the area and begin building a series of new structures. The only thing that made people aware of something going on was a presence of a Star Destroyer hovering over the location. Frequent traffic going to the surface and from the area. Nero did wonder what this was all about, but Imperial Intelligence agents, mixed in with the garrison troops and workers, ensured it was best not to ask any. With the presence of these men, including ISB Stormtroopers, Nero knew it was best to keep quiet.

An explosion rocked the southern continent, followed by a residual blast wave that kicked up a cloud of dust for several kilometers, expanding outwards from a central point. Only moments before the sky had been streaked by a great big ball of orange flame that had seemed to engulf a rock that had fallen from the heavens. This 'meteorite', for what other way could it be described, has descended from orbit and struck the surface of the planet, cracking the crust on impact. Powerful secreted acids ate away at the terrain, softening the soil and repurposing rock as the object burrowed into the ground. Long fleshy protrusions extended out from the bottom, digging deep and reaching out in all directions as the damutek took root. After anchoring itself like some massive plant, the purely organic structure began to open at the top, unpeeling like a blossoming flower. Ground water was pumped through the roots and absorbed by the main body, encouraging further growth, while nearby surface water sources were penetrated and channeled for the same effect. As a steady volume of liquid flowed throughout these veins, the petals began to vibrate and exude mass amounts of pollen into the air, seeding the environment with Yuuzhan Vong bio-technology and plants. Yorik coral began to grow from the base of the damutek and cover the surface, absorbing grass and vegetation, eventually forming a lip two kilometers out that rose like a stone wall to encircle the organic building.Streaking through the air as they emerged from the clouds overhead, a dozen yorik-et zipped around the large plant as they performed a flyby, eventually coming in to settle on the rigid coral surface beside the burgeoning base. This squadron of what the infidels called coral skippers was to serve as the Praetorite Vong bases first line of defense, at least until they established themselves more completely upon the planet. A steady stream of organic shuttle craft followed not far behind, consisting of numerous yorik-trema with their whip like tails swishing back and forth behind them as they came in for a landing. A hundred warrior caste joined fifty shapers, three intendants (including the boss), and five hundred worker caste. A number of Yuuzhan Vong beasts of burden could be seen among the mix, carting supplies from the transports to the main building. When the Blood Chalice settled in next to the other transports, a seam split in its ablative hull to reveal a dilated hatch-sphincter that began to unseal. As the portal opened, a molleung worm unfurled and formed a solid ramp to the ground. Emerging from the interior of the shuttle was the Executor, Nem of Domain Yin. Smoke obscured the scarred face of the intendant, the pipe biot hanging from the corner of his mouth continuously exuding narcotic fumes. Raising the spindly fingers of his corpse grey hands, he pulled back the hood of his cloaker, exposing his bald scalp to the radiant sun overhead."So this is Shili." He said between hits from his pipe. His grey lids narrowed as his glowing ocular implants dimmed, allowing him to squint as he stared at the burning orb in the sky, then lowered his gaze and absorbed the landscape spread out before them. "A bit bright.""Compared to the intergalactic void, perhaps." Nem turned his head, following the voice that had intruded on his exclaimed thought. A Yuuzhan Vong even skinnier than the Executor approached the ramp, swathed in a glistaweb gown that caused his body to sparkle and shimmer in the daylight. The Executor's dark eye sacs pulsed in genuine delight as he laid his mqaaq'it on the Prefect Ur of Domain Skell. As the Executor reached the bottom of the ramp, he extended a hand and gripped the Prefect's arm at the elbow in a warriors greeting."Well met, Ur. I trust you have what you require to establish and maintain an outpost here." He released the Prefect's arm and crouched, digging with his right hand into the earth before retrieving a handful of soil. He let the loose dirt run through his fingers before turning his palm and emptying the rest back onto the ground. "It certainly seems fertile enough."That was one of the reasons the planet had been picked. Fortunately the Emperor had been honest in his assessment of Shili, not that Nem had expected anything less. It would serve as an excellent location to grow their increasing need for biots and living organisms. Lots of bio-mass just waiting to be repurposed."Just an outpost?" Ur's hairless brow rose questioningly. "For now." Replied Nem, shrugging his muscular shoulders. "Eventually, a colony. We already have the Emperor's blessing to establish ourselves here, but we'll need to come to an accord with the locals before we think about expanding our borders. We'll start by infiltrating their capital. It shouldn't take much effort for the shapers to come up with a prototype togruta ooglith cloaker. But I'll leave that in your hands, Ur. I won't be staying long."Not for lack of desire. He could have spent the rest of his days on such a pristine planet unafflicted by pollution that was the trade mark of infidel industry. Unfortunately for Nem, peace and comfort were permanently beyond his reach. His life was destined for conflict."You just got here." Hissed Ur, shaking his head dismissively. Another shoulder shrug. "As the infidel races like to say, there is no rest for the wicked. There are matters on Coruscant that require my attention, and certain members of the Emperor's camp that need to be watched. It can't be helped.""Fine, Nem. Ingratiate yourself to these Imperials if you must." Said Ur, shaking his head from side to side. "Just don't forget that your people need you as well."They parted ways after that, with Prefect Ur Skell retreating into the damutek structure. Nem remained at the bottom of the ramp for a time, watching as the shuttle train continued from orbit. A hunched chazrach hobbled out of the transport and joined him, crouching next to him with a permanently stupid look fixed upon its near sentient face.

A warm morning breeze rolled in off the savannah. Standing on a coral balcony overlooking the vast grassy planes, Nem drew in a breath through his stub nose, smelling an assortment of familiar scents intermingled with less familiar ones. His pipe biot hung from the left corner of his mouth, his hand casually gripping the bowl end as he puffed away, savouring the narcotic fug his mind slipped into. The usual queasiness that afflicted him while within a naturally formed gravity well was temporarily dispelled by the residual affect. He inhaled long and deep, filling his lungs to capacity with smoke, before slowly exhaling. Reality distorted at the edges of his vision and he was forced to blink several times to banish the hallucinations."Strong batch." He uttered to himself before emptying the remainder of the pipe over the balcony ledge, scattering the collected ashes to the winds. Dropping his arm, he stuffed the biot back into the robeskin satchel on his hip and turned away from the view as he reentered the damutek. Yuuzhan Vong passed him in the corridor beyond, bowing or saluting depending on their station. He didn't respond to any of it, continuing to walk with purpose as he descended the spire and made it back to the ground level.Establishing an outpost was going about as well as he could have expected. The shuttle train had finished ferrying supplies from the Price of Pain in orbit a few hours ago. The shapers and workers beneath them quickly set to their tasks of growing essential equipment for the burgeoning base. After the walls had gone up around the compound, shaping teams facilitated the emplacement of yaret-kor and nang-hul launchers. The main form of defense for the base was its obscurity and isolation on the southern continent, far from the prying eyes of the local tribes. Still, it didn't hurt to have a few weapon emplacements at various intervals on the wall.As he exited through the front entrance of the base and strode across the coral growth that covered the ground, he watched a paid of hunters leading a six legged quednak with a dead akul strapped across its back. He joined a group of workers around a cooking brazier, roasting locally sourced thimiar on spits. When they were cooked thoroughly he reached into the flames, ignoring the singing of his cloakers flesh as he retrieved a spitted rodent and brought it to his mouth, taking a bite as his yellow teeth sunk into juicy meat. He tore a hunk out and swallowed it, then let out a belch. The workers chuckled, in good spirits as usual these days, and so he shared his wealth of sparkbee honey with them. Once all were properly imbibed, he thanked them for sharing their meal and continued his walk, eventually reaching a familiar organic starship.Thirty meters from bow to stern, the Bleeding Orifice was roughly the same size as most yorik-vec, though with some obvious modifications to boot. For starters, the hull was comprised of a black hued yorik-coral that was supposed to help it remained concealed while in the void of space. Most of the other modifications were hidden inside, as the ship was used primarily as the Executor's personal transport. Another recognizable Yuuzhan Vong was standing next to one of the arrest tentacles serving as landing gear. Nem's glowing eyes dimmed as he approached Prefect Ur Skell."Seeing me off?" Inquired Nem with a raised brow, folding his arms across his chest.Ur shook his skull like head and patted the arrest tentacle he was leaning against with one grey hand."Just admiring the fine craftsmanship of your void ship. I had thought it a gift from Mira, but when I asked her about it she said you were the one that had shaped it.""Well..." He unfolded his arms and raised a hand to rub the back of his head, feigning modesty. "...I still dabble in bio-engineering when time permits. Most of the work was done while I was stationed with a band of infidel reavers."In truth the transport had been like a second home to him during his time with the Bloodrage Pirates. The Cutlass was a purely mechanical ship and the intendant's personal vessel had been the only organic sanctuary aboard. He had practically lived in it for a number of years."She's a good ship. I can tell without even bonding to her." Pursing his lips, the Prefect let go of the arrest tentacle and stared intensely at the Executor. "Must you really leave so soon?"This again. Nem nodded firmly. "Yes. I told you, I'm needed." One dark purple eye sac puffed and the corner of his lip raised ever so slightly in an approximation of an infidels sly grin. "I've left you something in storage beneath the compound, something I need you to take special care of.""I saw the stasis units. I didn't realize there were any Voxyn left. What are we even keeping them for? They were a product of the Supreme Overlord's work, were they not? I thought you detested anything to do with him."Black bile rose in the intendant's gorge at the mention of Shimraa. Nem's lip curled bitterly and he turned his head, looking away from Ur Skell for fear of displaying too much emotion."They were, but these were of Mira's making. Think of them as an insurance policy. With luck, they'll never need to be pulled out of cold storage. But, if there is ever a need, at least we'll be prepared. Believe me, I wouldn't be hanging on to them if there was a better alternative." His mqaaq'it changed hue from emerald green to crimson red, glowing eerily. "If the Sith ever show their cowardly face, you'll be happy to have a pack of them around."Shrugging. "If you say so." He then extended a hand. "I'll babysit them for now. Safe travels, Executor."When Ur Skell turned to leave, Nem stood by the ship for a few minutes and watched him go. When he was truly alone, he boarded the yorik-vec and made his way to the orifice surviving as the cockpit. Seating himself in a prickly throne, the intendant drew down a tall-yor over his head, allowing the bony hooks to sink into his flesh and form a symbiotic bond. Joined at the mind, Nem and the ship became as one, a living extention of his will. With a flick of an ocular implant, he stoked the dovin basals awake and activated the gravitational drives. Floating off the suface, the arrest tentacles retracted into the yorik-vec. He spun the ship around and began to ascended, looping once around the base before raising higher into the sky, eventually streaking above the clouds as he headed for orbit.

In a quiet valley on the far side of low mountain peaks that rose up from the savannah, the Praetorite damutek was relatively isolated from the rest of togruta society on the southern continent. For now, that was how they liked to keep it. Inside the large coral crusted structure that appeared much like a giant flower in bloom, the Prefect assigned to maintaining the outpost leaned over a large table with a tactical villip in the centre, projected a holographic map of the region of space they currently found themselves in. Like the warriors around him, Ur Skell was garbed in a living suit of vonduun skerr kyrric. A long flowing layer of robeskin draped over the shoulders of the glossy black carapace covering his ritually scarred flesh, the hands of the command cloak quite literally gripping his corpse pallor skin in its pain inducing vice like hold. The Intendant moved a blaze bug around the display, using it as a marker which he moved from the visual representation of Shili to several other planets in the vicinity."We'll start with the world furthest out, which based off the most recently updated charts appears to be Kinyen." As he manipulated the villip, the holographic display changed and zoomed in on the planet in question, providing a three dimensional coloured image. "What do we know about it?""It's not one of ours." Boomed the a heavy voice in harshly spoken Yuuzhan Vong. Chemos, a warrior caste subaltern representing the interests of Domain Choka. His black eyes were scanning the screen of a hand held qahsa as he addressed the Prefect and his council. "Nor is it a First Order territory. Public record according to the Holonet was that it was a NOE territory sometime after the New Republic held it, though our records are ten years out of date. Nothing major to note about it, honestly. The population are mostly gran, peaceful by all the historical accounts we've reviewed. Low pollution, abundant natural resources. Frankly I'm surprised we never made a move on it during our invasion of the galaxy. It would make an excellent resettlement site if peace can be maintained with the locals."Ur's brow narrowed and his lips pursed as he brought a hand under his chin, thoughtfully stroking the bone ridges there. He shook his head. "Not at this time. The Executor made clear his desire to minimize our presence this far in. Colonies out in wild space are one thing. Anything we establish here we would be unable to protect. I'll not sanction any settlement attempt when a single band of brigands could wipe them out. It's not worth the risk.""Yes, but..." The Prefect's mqaaq'it flared green as though possessed by witch-fire. He stared daggers at the subaltern as he quickly interjected."You question the will of the Executor, Chemos Choka? Of the Yu'shaa?" All eyes, whether they be natural or grafted implants, turned towards the hulking member of the warrior caste as the Prefect sought to scold him. Some traditions had changed amongst the domains of the Praetorite since Nem of Domain Yin has assumed command, but some things hadn't. It was still largely taboo for a subordinate to question someone of greater rank. It was clear to all that the Prefect sought to shame the subaltern into submission. Recognizing his mistake, Chemos banged his right carapace covered arm into his chest plate and bowed his head."No, Prefect. Yu'shaa speaks for the Yun'o. We follow and obey." "Good." Said Ur with a nod of his head as his ocular implants dimmed. "See that you remember it. Now..." He once more rested a hand on the blaze bug marker and moved it to another world. "...if we move the Price of Pain here, to Vandelhelm, we should be able to launch a slivilith at Kinyen without having to wait a few centuries for it to arrive.""A week at most, Prefect." Said Master Shaper Neith Kwaad, standing on the far side of table across from the Prefect. Neith rested on a rigid amphistaff that served him more as a walking stick than weapon. "It is smaller than others we have bred, just out of its juvenile state, but that should make it more docile and easier to control. A necessity as it will be operating outside of the range of a yammosk."While slivilith had served the Yuuzhan Vong as long range scouts for millenia, they were known to act aggressively after long voyages through the void, especially the bigger ones. In this instance, however, its ability to defend itself was less essential than its ability to surveil the target.Ur Skell studied the Master Shaper's eyes for signs of deceit. Many a member of the shaper caste had made promises about their creations that they weren't able to keep. Based on his assessment, the shaper appeared convinced of his own words. "You are certain you can control it via villip commands?" Asked Ur."Oh yes, Prefect. It has been conditioned to obey." "Very well. Make your preparations." He said to the council. "I want the Price of Pain ready to depart when the Legacy of Anguish arrives to switch out with it. That is all."All those in attendance, with the exception of Ur Skell himself, departed as the meeting completed. The Prefect kept his eyes firmly fixed on the display, arms crossed behind his back.

The fields surrounding the Praetorite's outpost had changed somewhat in the time that the Yuuzhan Vong had come to colonize the southern continent. There were still planes of grass, the savannah much resembled what it always had, but there was a new addition. A weed, more or less, had taken root in the fertile soil. This plant originated on the seed world of Zonama Sekot, a holy remnant of the Yuuzhan Vong's original galaxy, and was later transported along with the rest of the Praetorite's fleet. Some had been planted on Ossus, to help revitalize that barren rock. It had sprouted with fervor and eventually blossomed into a ceaselessly yielding crop the locals referred to as Ossus Kush. There it was used as a herbal remedy that could be administered a number of ways, though was mostly either consumed as a food additive or smoked. These days it was practically the main export from Ossus funding the Jedi Lords operation. This very same crop now grew in the soil of a First Order planet, to which the Praetorite Vong were oath sworn. Worker caste worked tirelessly to harvest the crop, which was then distilled into a more potent version, which Ur Skell had dubbed 'Shili Shatter'.

Coral skippers screamed into the atmosphere trailing smoke and flame as the burning remains of the Praetorite fleet was drawn into the atmosphere by Shili's natural gravity well, dragging each burning wreck down towards the southern continent where the Yuuzhan Vong had established a base. The Enclave's more advanced slayer ships easily picked apart the tsik-seru as they attempted to intercept, ripping them apart with their heavier yaret-kor and easily out maneuvering the atmosphere based craft. Streams of liquid fire reached towards the descending plague of enemy ships, fired from surface-to-air lava cannon emplacements around the Praetorite damutek. These two were quickly obliterated as Vandred Carr's yorik-trema descended through the clouds, directing a flaming discharge of superheated rock into the weapon emplacements. Despite the bases' complement of warrior caste fighting with everything at their disposal, the Enclave forces made short order of them.
Six segmented legs emerged from the underside of the subaltern's transport and punctured the ground as the yorik-trema shifted its weight onto the organic landing gear. Its rear hull split to reveal a dilated hatch-sphincter disgorging a molleung worm. Black carapace skinned slayers charged out of the dark interior, charging the overwhelmed defenders and quickly swarming their positions. Despite the Praetorite warrior castes best efforts, it wasn't a fair match, not against Loraine's heretical abominations.
In short order, everyone at the base was killed. The voxyn vaults were raided and taken aboard the Echo of Damnation in orbit. The base was put to the torch before they left, leaving only ruins.
When their work was done, Vandred and his strike team of monsters departed the surface.

There were few Yuuzhan Vong elements left on Shili, certainly the self proclaimed Supreme Empress Loraine Zunqin has seen to that when she betrayed the Praetorite Council and murdered most of them during the coup on Shili Secondus.
Those few that remained received a villip transmission from the Yu'Shaa, Executor Nem of Domain Yin, the Avenging Blade of Yun-Yammka. Shili was to be abandoned in favour of safer shores within the loyalist controlled territory of Garqi. The remaining harvest of Shili Shatter was collected, some of which was smoked, and those intrepid survivors of a heretical plot made their way to their new home. Within a week of the order, any trace of Yuuzhan Vong was scoured from the surface, leaving naught but a hunk of coral or bud of grass behind.
