*As Walker strode down the hallway with the Zeltron doctor, Aedon nodded a bit to himself, glad to know that there were others of his kind working with the Organization. And with them gone, that left himself and the lead Operative, Miranda, to continue their discourse. She offered a choice - which assessment did the new recruit wish to undergo first? As if he had a clue what they would actually be testing him on. "Anything and everything" was what he should expect, so, he considered for a moment what that would mean.**He stood, left hand on his hip, and his right reaching up and behind his head absentmindedly to both scratch the back of his head beneath his long, violet locks, and to lightly press against his neck, stretching it a bit.*
"Well, seeing as I've never really done anything like this before, I'm really more at your mercy than anything, 'Miss Operative'..." *He brought his hand down in front of him, snapping his fingers as he pointed nowhere in particular* "Oh! What about...some kinda warm-up? Give me a chance to limber up; maybe an obstacle course of some sort? Something point-to-point?" *He paused for a second* "Hm, I dunno...what do you think?"
*Sure, it wasn't suave or decisive, but it was a choice. If he had more of an idea on what the scope of his assessment would be, he would have likely made a better suggestion. But, knowing what little he knew, he could only guess as to which test should come first, or at all.*

Aedon's mannerisms were charming, she had to admit. But the assessments were really self-explanatory. Or so she thought. At the mention of an obstacle course, she smirked.
"Well, the obstacle course in particular is covered under the physical assessment side of things, with Doctor Seymour. However, the solo combat assessment is a two part assessment. The first is you versus a team of enemy combatants and the second is a one on one match. Either or would be within the scope of allowing you to limber up...come."
Motioning for Aedon to follow her, she led the way from the main atrium down the corridor with Simulators 1 to 14. Stopping at one labeled S-12, the palmed open the door with the hand print scanner located on the right side of the door. As the door whooshed open, it revealed the control room overlooking the multi-tiered stark white simulation room. Seated in the chair at the center of several monitors and consoles, was a green hued Twi'lek. When he spoke, it wasn't in Basic, but rather the heavily accented native tongue, Ryl.
"Saseehk Strahovski, qa kenu'iy ohk Do xailja kuklo fokei?" ("Operative Strahovski, what simulation am I loading up today")
Thinking, Miranda turned to Aedon.
"So, warm up or challenge?"
She asked, raising her eyebrow quizzically. She normally just stuck to the routine, however The Illusionist was very clear to offer Aedon the option of a choice wherever it was naturally possible to do so. And so she would.
Meanwhile...
Doctor Seymour led Lieutenant Walker to a room labeled S-22. Palming open the door with the hand print scanner on the right, the door whooshed open revealing a control room filled with monitors, consoles and several biometric displays, all of which were currently displaying The Organization logo.
"Lieutenant, the first test will be checking your physical fitness levels. If you would please step into the antechamber and change into the bio-suit that had been laid out for you, we can get started."
She motioned to the door that was off to the left of the main entrance. Inside, Walker would find a modified armorweave body glove that was outfitted with special biometic scanners and equipment that would monitor his vitals, stress levels, endurance and fatigue levels. Once he was changed, Seymour would instruct him on what to do next...

Walker followed the Chief Medical Officer to the room that was labeled S-22. Seymour opened the door which had revealed what could only be described as a control room, that was filled with monitors that displayed biometric readings of several different people. Walker had to assume that the readings that were being displayed were that of other operators taking part within the simulator, but before he could ask about them the good doctor told him that his first test would be a physical fitness based test, she then told him to step into the antechamber and change into a bio-suit. Walker faced the women and nodded then proceeded to step into the chamber and changed into the bio-suit that had been laid out for him. Once in the suit Walker stretch his arms, trying to get comfortable in the suit, it felt tight on him. However it could be that Walker preferred to wear short sleeves to allow his arms some air. He walked out of the chamber and made his way to the blue-eyed, blue hair Zeltron doctor.

As Walker returned, wearing the biometric suit that had been laid out for him, Doctor Seymour sized him up."It fits better than I'd hoped. Comfortable? This suit will provide reading on everything that goes on in your body while exerting physical effort. The simulator will load up our obstacle course and you will run it. Twice. The first run will give us readings on how your body reacts to the various elements of the course as it is exposed to it for the first time. The second run will see how receptive your muscle memory is and how quickly you adapt to sudden changes in the course. Bear in mind, you can and most likely will be injured in here, but you cannont die. The dampners prevent lethal or fatal blows. Any questions before we begin, Lieutenant?"It was short and to the point. Which was the way Seymour preferred things to be. Walker seemed to be of the fast learning variety, so hopefully he'd have it figured out.

Walker listened to the doctor as she spoke and explained what the first simulation was. An Obstacle course, he shook his head a single time. He hadn't ran an obstacle course since his days of being a tier one operator for the Galactic Alliance, and when he had ran obstacle courses he always disliked them. Sure it helped some people warm up or improve their stamina and endurance, but he found them to be wanting. He however had the spirit of a warrior and preferred running around while being under fire, to him it was the only way to tell how someone will react during an assignment or mission. Walker continued to fidget in the biometric suit as he responded to the doctor.
"It's a little tight, and not really breathable. Any chance that we can make this a little bit more fun? Say by making it a live fire exercise, also is there a way to lower these dampers? The idea of it being a life and death scenario will inspire me to do it perfectly."
Walker had a feeling that the doctor would give a hard pass to his suggestions to make the obstacle course a little more exciting, but he would kick himself if he didn't at least try. Walker wondered what the other simulations would entail, surely they would be more exciting and be more in line with how he used to train while still enlisted in the Galactic Alliance. Although for now he cleared his mind while waiting for the doctor to answer him, he wanted to make sure that he was prepared for anything that they could throw at him.

Simulator S-12: Initial Testing - Aedon Montrose
*Warm up, or challenge?*
*Aedon had to say, it wasn't going to matter how deep he tried to wade into this pool -- chances were, he wasn't going to be a top-tier operative coming right out of the gate. Still, he knew a fair amount about surviving, and fighting, so maybe this wouldn't be a shooting gallery starring "yours truly"?**He gave a light grin to Miranda, then offered his confident response.*
"Let's take this like a teenager's first date night...everyone needs a good warm-up."
*He saw Miranda nod, and the Twi'lek who spoke pure Ryl gave him instructions that he had to repeat to himself in his head before he got the gist of it. When he and Kinsey met, the young, olive-skinned Twi'lek tavern wench that she was knew only her native tongue, as well. Aedon had been given the crash-course from his local tour guide when he visited Ryloth those many years ago, but up until he offered to take her away from the craziness that was her life, he really didn't know enough beyond "come with me" and "where is the 'fresher?" When she joined Aedon's crew, he spent the first few months teaching her Basic, and she was, in turn, teaching him Ryl. It had been literal years since he had heard the language, though. Thus, hearing the Twi'lek tech guru use it was a bit of a shock to Aedon's system. But he understood enough of it: go inside the sim, stand on the glowing square, and be ready to feel the floor move.*
*And move, it did.*
*Aedon watched and felt the multi-tiered facility begin to shift, move, and transform into a different setup. According to the Twi'lek, Aedon may feel more disorientated if he didn't close his eyes while the holoprojections began to spin up the simulation. So, once the floor stopped shifting, he went to one knee on the ground and closed his eyes, grabbing the scabbard of his vibro-rapier as he did so to control where the tip of the blade maneuvered. He was going into the sim with exactly the weapons he had on him - which, on his way in, he decided to go with the vibro-rapier, his twin Death Hammer blasters, and the hidden vibro-knife that he had on the back of his belt. Since he had no idea what to expect from the sim, he only knew what the Ryl-speaking tail-head told him -- he was going to be taking on over a dozen and a half targets of varying size and capabilities. Twelve Orcus-class droids and six Assault Troopers, to be exact. The objective was clear enough -- kill everything til he was the only one left standing.*
*The hum of the holoprojectors was the only sound entering his ears. Well, that, and the annoying alarm klaxon along with the simulated Coruscanti female voice stating that "the simulation is about to begin" over and over. Then came the countdown, paired with more loud beeping noises.*
*Three...two...one...go time.*
*Aedon opened his eyes to see that he was in an open access hatch of a Star Destroyer's hangar bay. The stark white floors had been replaced by polished black durasteel, and the bulkhead in front of him was that annoying gunmetal grey. He looked to his left and saw that the bulkhead doors were closed going further "into" the Destroyer. So, he guessed this was his arena. The whole of the docking bay. The area itself was filled overhead with catwalks that had TIE fighters stowed into their racks lining the whole south side of the hangar bay, while the main floor held four Lambda-class shuttles and a smattering of stacked, unloaded cargo. Walking amongst the cargo - Aedon assumed - was its "protective detail". Aedon could count four large droid units on one end along with two armored troopers wearing black helmets with red, lit-up eyes. In the middle of the bay - and not far from his current position - were two more troopers performing a crisscross patrol pattern in the open lane between the pairs of Lambda shuttles, which were facing each other on the way down the bay. Just past them were another four combat droids, along with the remaining two troopers. That left four droids unaccounted for, which Aedon assumed meant that when the inevitable firefight started, they would enter the fray then and there.*
*The floor patrols were shifting, moving around the outskirts of the cargo and in-between where space would permit. The crates were often stacked two or three high, depending on their size and shape. Most of the "stacks" didn't go any higher than shoulder-level, which meant that Aedon would have cover if he needed to advance - or make a hasty retreat. He just needed to stop thinking and start doing if he wanted this to be over anytime soon.*
"...All right, mop-head. Time to kick this gundark's nest and shoot whatever comes out squirming..."
*His current position was offset just across from the wide, open channel that went between the Lambda shuttles, just a half-dozen meters from the aft portion of one of the boats. Aedon waited for the one trooper who made his patrol on the end closest to him to round his turn and head back toward the opposite direction before rolling out of his current cover toward one of the support pylons holding the catwalk above him where the TIEs resided. He moved low, quiet, gripping the scabbard of his blade so it made no sound as he essentially jogged to the giant durasteel beam and nestled himself on the inner portion of the beam itself, his small frame fitting just barely between the tresses. Looking across from him, he was staring at the large, grey bulkhead wall that most of the hangar bay consisted of, with one small addition - a mini-lift that went up to the catwalk level. Knowing he had roughly fifteen seconds before the other trooper would reach his side again, he pressed as deeply between the folds of the support as he could. Relying on the shadows cast from the several light sources of the bay, Aedon soon saw the approaching soldier's form appear on the bulkhead wall with both its umbra and penumbra shifting as he made his round, watching it recede as he began making his way back. Taking his cue, he checked to make sure the coast was clear again before darting across to the lift, depressing the keys that would activate it and cause the waist-high gate to wrap around, effectively hiding Aedon as the lift silently began to rise upward.*
*The ambient noise of the hangar itself, the intercom going off every so often, even the patrols' idle chatter seemed to be enough to mask Aedon's movements. It didn't take but a few moments for the lift to reach the catwalk level, and the gate to swing open and disappear around the sides. Aedon again checked his egress, making sure he'd be able to proceed without being seen. He would need to move silently for just a bit longer in order to confirm a few things. The catwalk itself was more than three stories above the hangar floor. It had to have enough clearance to allow the TIE fighters to disengage and clear the tall fins of the Lambda-class shuttles before leaving through the large hangar bay door to the east. Luckily, it was more than high enough that the ground patrols didn't seem to be looking upward as they continued their march. So long as Aedon didn't run about, flapping his arms around like an idiot, he figured he would be able to continue unabated. He saw his quarry on the east end of the catwalk - a small niche that held the master control terminal for the TIE fighters. It was either that, or the hangar bay door controls. Either way, Aedon might be able to end this before it would need to start - so long as he didn't kriff it all up.*
*He kept low, moving only when it seemed appropriate, slowly making his way to the terminal. Once he was in the nook, he relaxed a little, stretching out to his full height - which was still short, by all accounts. He stood before the computer, viewing the status screens of several different TIE fighters, as well as the controls for the hangar bay's atmospheric shields and blast doors.*
"Well, well...why not both, huh?"
*Aedon was no slicer. He didn't really have much patience for it. But he knew the workarounds for just enough of these systems to wreak a lot of havoc, if need be; all thanks to his resident teenage super-geniuses -- the Wonder Twins, Jesse and Jordan - the orphaned brothers that Aedon had hired back on Ord Mantell just after he had wrecked the pirate operation going on there with Jerrak Vao all those years ago. They knew their way across all manner of computer systems, and were the only two that Aedon trusted to pilot his Consular-class starship other than himself. Aedon had gotten to see them grow up across the years, only to watch them both die far too young during the Syndicate's upheaval. But, back in the day, they managed to teach Aedon a thing or two about capital ship systems -- should he ever find himself in a jam on one. And Aedon was hoping that - even in this sim - they would allow him to use what little he knew. After all, even "Mr. Magician" himself said it best -- "knowledge and information is power."*
*He began accessing the terminal, opening the command prompt and attempting to manipulate the source code to disable the failsafes in the hangar. Several "WARNING" indicators began flashing across the screen, but with a few extra keystrokes, they were all abdicated from his sight. Once he was comfortable with the level of hell he was about to raise, he exited the command prompt, and focused his attention on the main floor again. From the terminal, he had access to a few of the security cameras. Had this been an actual, fully-crewed Star Destroyer, Aedon doubted he would have made it out of the bulkhead's entryway before the alarms would have sounded. Even with these few cameras, he was able to see both sides of the bay within full view, the hangar door, and the entryways on both sides. Aedon focused on trying to find anything particularly-volatile on the hangar floor beneath the catwalk.*
*It only took a few moments before a particularly evil-looking grin crossed his features.*
*Beneath fighters #3 and #7 were several canisters of - what looked like - Tibanna gas. It would be such a tragedy if a faulty docking clamp were to suddenly malfunction over those, wouldn't it? Yes, yes -- Aedon believed it would. He took a few extra moments and disabled the lifts up to this level, essentially locking down the catwalk, and waited until he had someone nearby at least one set of his traps. Grabbing one of the blasters from inside his shoulder holsters, he primed the weapon before accessing the docking clamps above the trap fighters. Waiting until one of the Orcus droids was trekking by, he released the clamps over fighter #7, which was nestled over the western-most portion of the east side cargo area. A metal-screeching squelch was heard overhead as the fighter dropped silently to the hangar floor. Its landing, however, was far from silent. The TIE "wings" - the massive solar energy collectors on the sides of the cockpit area - impacted and ruptured the Tibanna tanks beneath, causing a massive explosion that took out the first droid and one of the Assault troopers before the fuel tank on the fighter itself ruptured, causing another ancillary blast that took two more of the patrolling droids caught in the radius.*
*When this occurred, the patrols from the west side of the hangar began to make their way over toward the destruction. They never stood a chance, though, as many of them were passing by the sweet spot of fighter #3, which Aedon took full advantage of. Releasing the clamps, the second fighter dropped, causing a calamity that even he wasn't expecting. The first explosion went off, killing both of the Assault troopers from that side and two of the droids. Then, the second - larger - explosion went off, wrecking the other two droids from that side. Then, the other "shoe" fell -- the Lambda-class shuttle that was nearby had been caught up in the explosion, and its own fuel tanks decided to rupture, taking out a large section of the floor around it, and two of the fighters above it, as well as the two patrolling troopers that were walking that open channel. That last explosion caused even Aedon to buckle down and hide behind the terminal, the smoke and fire now raising up and flowing around, limiting visibility to a minimum and causing him to rethink his current predicament, seeing as the smoke that was rising would be up to meet him, soon...*

Simulator S-12: Assessment Testing - Aedon Montrose
From the control room that overlooked the simulation, which was currently disguised as the hangar control for the Imperial Star Destroyer that was being simulated, Operative Strahovski watched as Aedon cleverly utilized the hangars own hazards and turned them against the 'defending' force. He was very inconspicuous and careful. Useful traits, definitely. He was also very calculating. The wall of monitors showed several different angles of Montrose as he moved through the bay. His nimble physique combined with his stealthy approach made his tactics very successful. Strahovski was certainly impressed with his ingenuity. So far, he had hardly broken a sweat though. Utilizing the environment to his advantage was something most recruits might have overlooked, favoring direct combat. Aedon, however, took a different approach. But, he wasn't out of the woodwork yet. There was one Assault Trooper and five Orcus Security Droids in play. Four of which were en-route, responding to the commotion that Aedon had stirred up. Keying the mic to the simulation, which wouldn't affect it in the least, she spoke.
Excellent work, Aedon! You certainly know how to manipulate the environment to your advantage. Keep this up and the simulation will be finished in no time.
Continuing to observe the simulation, Strahovski allowed the channel to close, as to not distract him further. Though she was enjoying watching him progress through this simulation so far. She was looking forward to seeing how he'd continue.

Simulator S-12: Assessment Testing, Mid-Way Point - Aedon Montrose
The voice came over the simulation just as Aedon had settled down from the explosion, causing his adrenaline to spike again, his physical reaction a jolting, full-body spasm. She'd done it again. And this time, it was on vid. He was sure of it.Whispering under his breath, he began to stand up and observe the cameras, waiting to see what the "new arrivals" would do.
"Fierfek...she's never gonna let me live that down."
On the hangar bay cameras, the remaining Orcus droid was activating its fire suppression protocols, attempting to put out some of the fires in the hangar bay. The Assault Trooper beside him was scanning the room to see where an intruder might be that could be causing this mayhem. Aedon was beginning to feel his eyes burn and water, the smoke starting to billow and spread out along the upper levels where he stood. Still, he had to wait just a few moments more before enacting the second phase of his plan - and that part was shortly to come.*
*The main hangar bay doors opened, and in stepped two of the remaining four Orcus droids.Where, then, were the other two? Aedon had to wonder. His brow furrowed in confusion, and he began checking the other entrances. Nothing...nothing...and nothing. No sooner had he cycled the cameras back around to the main hangar cam before all hell broke loose. The blast doors behind him to his left slid open, and Aedon suddenly turned, trying to slim his profile by angling sideways and aiming the blaster in his right hand with his outstretched arm; the remaining pair of droids strode through, heads swiveling to find their lone target standing mere meters from them. Their blaster rifles rose, honing in on their quarry. Aedon stared down the sights of his blaster, focusing his aim toward the burning crimson orb that was the Orcus droid's optical feed. With a squeeze of his trigger, the whole room went red.*
*Of course, that was from a combination of multiple blasters firing - Aedon's own, along with the droids' rifles letting loose a bolt a piece. The droid Aedon was aiming at took its bolt straight to the brainpan, a shower of sparks and slag going in every direction as its head rocked back, its body staggering sideways into the other droid, slamming into its blaster-arm, causing that shot to miss. But the original found its mark, smacking dead into Aedon's left arm, just below the shoulder muscle. Aedon felt heat, then searing pain, and then his body being yanked in the opposite direction as the concussive force of the shot caused him to spin away. His vision was briefly blurred, the crimson washing away into a near-black before the adrenaline kicked back in and his eyes widened and focused. He was now on the floor, facing away from the door and close to the wall. He knew he had mere moments to react, and let his thoughts melt away as his instincts took over.
He quickly planted both of his feet in front of him on the wall. Using it as a springboard, Aedon pushed off hard, causing him to slide on his hurt shoulder across the floor. The pain washed over him again as he winced, and he kicked his legs upward, causing him to rotate around, giving him a better view of the room behind him. He was now sliding behind the terminal's podium, just starting to clear the other side. Everything seemed to move in slow motion. He saw the feet of the last remaining Orcus droid on the opposite side of the podium. His eyes darted upward (or, more to his right, depending on the perspective being used), following the legs up to where he saw the droid's arms, the blaster seeming to follow his body. Then its shoulders, turning as its own body followed him along. Bringing his blaster arm around, he aimed just where he knew the bucket-of-bolt's eye would be once he cleared the terminal. And just as he did, it came into view. Aedon corrected his aim, his projections being off by a mere speck of a glance, and rapidly squeezed the trigger several times, loosing a torrent of blaster bolts towards the droid's head. The first bolt met its mark, causing the droid to rock back hard, its blaster arm flailing away and loosing a bolt or two in the direction of the open hangar bay, and then the wall. Then the droid fell in a heap, not two yards away from the terminal.
Aedon's body had since stopped sliding, and he had rocked himself up to a kneeling position, soon standing and looking back over his shoulder to where he could see just below the gathering smoke of the hangar into the bay itself. One of the remaining two droids was already taking its aim toward the alcove where Aedon was standing, and the other seemed more interested in going to help the other droid put out the fires. Aedon quickly darted around to the other side of the terminal, not waiting for the droid to take aim and line up its shot. A shower of sparks overhead rained down to Aedon's left as the bolt slammed into the ceiling of the alcove. Aedon was already enacting the second piece of his plan, though.*
*With a few more inputs on the terminal screen, he stared down the screen's query to him...
EXECUTE COMMAND? Y/N
"...Oh, kriff 'Yes'..."
And push the 'Yes' button, he did.*
*He then held tightly onto the podium itself as he felt the pull of the vacuum being released in the room after the atmospheric shields had suddenly gone down, causing this rapid expulsion of air to exit the room. And, of course, that wasn't all. Aedon heard the scream of the trooper being pulled out, and watched on the terminal screen as the remaining three droids were also yanked off their feet and out of the bay, along with some of the cargo, pieces of the flaming wreckage, and the flames of the fire itself. Aedon half-expected the droids to engage their mag-boots to keep their feet planted, but he supposed that the surprise came much too soon, and they were tripped up before they could kick them on. The vacuum pull wasn't as tough up top in the alcove, but Aedon was beginning to feel the air thin. Taking as deep a breath as he could, he began undoing the command prompt that started all of this mess. Soon, he was staring down another prompt screen.
RESTORE ATMOSPHERIC SHIELDS? Y/N
"Yeah, yeah...go ahead."
As the shields engaged once more, Aedon heard the fans of the "hangar" begin to kick back on, restoring the lost oxygen to the bay. This was followed shortly by an alarm klaxon signaling the end of the "match", and Aedon watched - with some disorientation - as the simulation began to power down. He was standing on one side of the simulation room, higher up on the second tier, which was surprisingly not as high as the simulation made it appear. Aedon assumed that there would have been some other tricks with grav generators and such that would have made up for the gaps in perception should he have fell or something. Still, it really was disorienting. Aedon then felt the pain in his arm once again. That much was real. And it was very-present. Aedon noted that his bantha-hide jacket had been torn where the blaster bolt had hit his shoulder, and the shirt itself was melted away, revealing the pink and red tissue of a second-degree burn. He instinctively reached up, tugging at the tear in his jacket, sighing woefully at the ruined sleeve.*
*Hopefully, the Organization would pick up the repair bill for that.
**Enemies remaining: Zero (0). Assessment Complete.**

Simulator - S-12. Assessment Testing - Aedon Montrose.
As the simulation concluded, Miranda simply continued to observe for a moment, standing with her hands on her hips. With a satisfied smirk, she motioned to 'Gizmo' to bring Aedon back to the Control Room. The second tier platform, where he stood, would seamlessly separate and glide over and down to the turbolift, allowing the Zeltron to disembark the platform and proceed into the turbolift. As she waited for Aedon to reappear in the control room, she queued up an application of bacta on her Omni-Tool to treat Aedon's blaster wound. Aside from the single shot to his left shoulder, he was unscathed. Which was impressive. Once he was back in the control room, she would go over his initial assessment and discuss the few notable points they had made and get him ready for his next assessment.

Assessment Training: Ryan WalkerDoctor Seymour smirked as the Lieutenant fidgeted in the suit. Clearly he wasn't comfortable in such an intimate setting. The biometric suit was an engineering marvel, but in a suit like that, the man had no secrets....not that she was purposely looking over the man by any means. Shaking her head, she replied to the Lieutenant's request."Lieutenant, I believe you underestimate the realism of our simulations...besides, the simulations are preset programs. I do not have the clearance to alter them in anyway, and our operator, 'Buck', here, can only power up, run and power down the simulation as required. But I'm sure you will find the obstacle course to be more to your liking than you think...when you are ready, please proceed to the turbolift. It will take you down to the base level and then we can begin." Seymour motioned for Walker to make his way to the turbolift.

Simulator S-12: Assessment Testing - Aedon Montrose; Control Room
As Aedon rode the lift up to the Control Room, he was gingerly placing his blaster back in his shoulder holster; the pain from his blaster wound still fresh on his left arm. Right-handed gun, left-hanging shoulder holster; it almost made him want to rethink his weapon placement. Almost. It wasn't long after he'd holstered the gun that he was stepping out of the lift doors into the room, giving a nod to the Twi'lek and a wry grin to Operative Strahovski as he made his way over to the nearby, sparse seating that was in the room. Obviously, this was one place for operatives to debrief and go over their simulations. There was enough seating for a small squad, and a quaint little desk in the center that looked to house a holoprojector.
Taking a moment to slowly, carefully take off his bantha-hide jacket, Aedon winced slightly as the material passed over his fresh burned area. Setting the now-damaged jacket over the back of one of the small couches, he sat himself down beside it, looking over the area of the striped t-shirt where the material was missing, and the burnt flesh remained.
"Not one of my prouder moments, I'm afraid." He reached up, cautiously fiddling with the tear in the clothing and, subsequently, the wound itself "I don't suppose that you have any bacta patches on hand, would you, Miss Strahovski?"
He looked up at her with the oddest pain-filled smile that he could muster, looking much like a sad, wounded Kath pup. It really was a poorly sight, and he was painfully aware of that. However, it wouldn't do for him to go into another fresh scenario without being at his level best.

Simulator S-12: Assessment Testing - Aedon Montrose; Control RoomAs the Zeltron seated himself and gingerly fiddled with the tear in his t-shirt, Miranda was already standing on his left, raising her right hand, palm out. The orange-hued display that encompassed her right hand and arm, up to the elbow, would then 'touch' Aedon's shoulder as she administered a shot of bacta to the wound. Spraying like a mist, it covered the wound. As the application finished, a quick scan was conducted over his shoulder to ensure there was no additional damage done. And to top it all off, a small dose of Adrenal was administered to boost the Zeltron's reflexes and aid concentration, essentially preparing him for "Round Two"."There. All patched up...and so far nothing negative to report about your assessment. You are tactically aware, process information in a logical and rational way, and don't act on impulse. You plan, then move, rather than moving and planning on the fly. And while at some point, that may be required of you, I am confident in the abilities you have displayed thus far. The Illusionist will be pleased."With the time-delayed Adrenal in Aedon's system, it wouldn't activate right away, rather in a few minutes once he was ready to proceed with round two of the assessments.

Simulator S-12: Assessment Testing - Aedon Montrose; Control Room
There it was again; the contraption that Aedon saw on the other agent's arm in the sim just before. It was a gauntlet of sorts, made out of hard-light, and somehow it managed to molecularize the Bacta application and deliver that solvent in a gel-like state on his arm. It encompassed the burn pattern on his shoulder in the form of a thick gel patch-like substance, and Aedon immediately began to feel its healing properties going to work on his shoulder; the cooling sensation being the most immediate tell-tale sign.Aedon breathed a sigh of relief as the Bacta began to make his skin tingle, going to work on repairing the skin of his arm.
"Thank Endymia for that little comfort." Aedon chuckled a bit as he listened to Miranda's assessment of his...assessment "Well, I'm glad that 'Mr. Magician' will feel like he hasn't wasted his time on me. So...given that these 'assessments' are supposed to work like small operations, would you be able to give me a little 'intel' on my next task, Operative Strahovski? I mean, I get that I'm being tested; I just want to be able to mentally and physically prepare myself for the job ahead."

Simulator S-12: Assessment Testing - Aedon Montrose; Control RoomMiranda smiled, as Aedon took the relief the bacta offered."Well, you're not wrong. These are supposed to function like small scale field operations. Okay. Let's see how you do with a bit of intel. Gizmo, load simulation 2187."Moving over to the desk, she keyed up the holo-projector as the Twi'lek did as ordered. As the holo-projector sprang to life, it showed four Rampart Droids, The Organization's specialty variant of the venerable Krath War Droids. Along side that projection, an even larger droid appeared. An Ogre Droid. The Organization's variant of a tank droid. And finally, the planet of Felucia appeared."Simulation 2187. Your objective, retrieve a downed comm satellite. The hard drive on the satellite has information vital to The Organization's operations. Your adversaries? Four Rampart Droids. Based off of old Krath designs, these Ramparts specialize in both melee and ranged combat. And are equipped with a baradium 'dead-man' charge. It goes down, the charge goes off. Their patrol patterns in the surrounding jungle are as follows..."The patrol pattern was highlighted in a perfect circle, about twenty meters away from the downed satellite. One group of two sitting at the twelve o'clock position and the other group of two sitting at the six o'clock position. Patrolling at a steady forward pace, they two groups remained in line with each other as they patrolled."And at the center, protecting the satellite? An Ogre Droid. Essentially a walking tank. Thick armor plating, heavy shielding, blaster cannons and anti-armor rounds. A tough opponent, to be sure. There is, however, an up side. Rather than relying solely on your own arsenal, there is a supply cache here."She pointed to the map of the battlefield and it highlighted a pod of some kind, that was located fifty or so meters to the south-east of the patrol perimeter."This is a weapons pod. It will contain a small arsenal of weapons that could potentially be useful. What is contains exactly, I can't tell you. But it will be helpful. Any questions?"She had just tossed a lot of information at the Zeltron. Hopefully he had kept up and understood what the objective was. And as always, she allowed for questions before throwing the poor man into the simulation.

While a full-on mission briefing wasn't exactly what he was expecting, he was glad for the break-down, as well as getting a look at what he was about to be up against. Those baradium charges were likely to present a problem, but, hopefully he'd find something in this "weapons pod" that Miranda was going on about that would help him level that playing field. Taking on a walking tank was not Aedon's idea of a good time. He would also have to find some way to interface with the fallen satellite if he wanted to succeed in his mission. Having that little light-gauntlet doohickey would surely come in handy, but getting Aedon up to speed on how it worked and such would likely take longer than it would take Aedon to just use a good slicer kit with an uplink. Perhaps that would be something to ask the nice "Lady Operative"? Let's find out.Leaning forward, Aedon depressed a few keys on the desk keypad which controlled the holoprojector, bringing up the overall map of the sim. With a couple of extra presses, the projection zoomed in on the fallen satellite area. That was when Aedon decided to speak up.
"I suppose I really only have two questions: how will I interface with the satellite to access the information? And also, is there going to be a time limit for mission viability, or do I have the time I need to institute a comfortable plan-of-action?" As he sat back from the projector, he felt the tear in his shirt rubbing against his still-tender skin "Oh, and - I guess, third question: any chance I can get a change of clothes? Maybe some kind of shirt that says 'I got shot at, stabbed, and smacked around by a bunch of droids and all they gave me was this lousy t-shirt'?"
Sure, it was crass humor, but this was Aedon they were talking about. Should they expect less?

The idea of it being a life and death scenario will inspire me to do it perfectly." Walker had a feeling that the doctor would give a hard pass to his suggestions to make the obstacle course a little more exciting, but he would kick himself if he didn't at least try. Simulator - S-22. The Good doctor had motioned for him to enter the turbolift, so Walker made his way over all the while fidgeting in the biometric suit. He really disliked how uncomfortable the suit was and could wait until he could change back into his trusted combat gear. He was curious to what the doctor had said about the obstacle course being to his liking. Walker thought about what that could entail the whole ride down inside of the turbolift, and while he was thinking about it another thought popped into his head. One that he hadn't thought about in while, as he was always in battle but with the free time he had while waiting for real combat the thought returned to him. It was more like he was remembering the last time he saw his family before his last deployment with the Galactic Alliance and how he said his goodbyes to his family a wife and son, then the turbolift dinged and the door opened and just like that Walker snapped back to the present and exited the turbolift.

Combat And Tactics Simulator - Testing Bay 1. With a small smirk, Miranda nodded to Kia."These simulators can mimic everything. And you can be injured here. Death cannot occur, obviously, but The Illusionist takes the training of his operatives quite seriously. Pick a setting and simulation type and we'll get you set up."Despite Miranda being the top operative, at least for the time being, she always did enjoy seeing the prowess of the other new recruits. Some had surprised her, whereas others had woefully under performed. This process helped weed out those that would go on to become exceptional operatives and those that were better suited for desk jobs or intelligence work. Kia listened as Miranda explained the simulator and its capabilities. She had to admit it was an impressive piece of tech. Capable inflicting injury and putting someone in a tough situation just like it would in the field without the risk of death was an effective training method. It reminded her of her brother's particular methods in training apprentices.
For a split moment, her mind turned to Gavin, wondering where he was and what he was up to. She hadn't heard from him since he left the First Order years ago so there was certainly no telling. But considering the group she was joining and their beliefs, it was highly possible they'd meet up on the battlefield at some point.
When told to make here selections, Kia made her way over to the consel and looked over her options. It was a bit surprising that she was getting to choose. A more effective test would have been one Miranda chose at random. Still, she didn't complain, nor did she intend to disappoint. Looking over her selections, she went with the next to highest difficultly. She had faced more than her fair share of live opponents but not knowing how the computer judged the settings, she didn't want to be facing sonething that turned the simulation into super soldiers. Then came the type. She still wasn't sure of all the settings, but opted for soldiers from both the First Order and the Blackguard. She had no real care for the First Order, though didn't doubt the modern weaponry and skills of their Stormtroopers. The the Sith soldiers gave her the challenge of lightsaber wielding enemies, not expecting the use of the Force a capability of the C.A.T.S.
With her choices selected, she looked to Miranda, wondering if anything else was left before the simulation began.

Simulator S-12: Assessment Testing - Aedon Montrose; Control RoomSmirking as the Zeltron asked his questions and added in the dry-humored comment about a shirt, Miranda replied to the first two questions."Interfacing with the satellite will be fairly straight forward. Before you enter the simulation this time, the 'ready-room' will have any gear you could need to outfit yourself. Slicer kits will be available to you. As for time...we do take how quickly you complete the task into account, however we would rather see the task completed to the best of your abilities without trying to beat the clock."Pressing two more buttons on the projector, a suit appeared."Field operatives and agents would realistically have access to anything and everything they needed going into a situation such as this. So we've taken the liberty to provide you with our Infiltration Suit. Blaster resistant, sound dampening, and capable of suppressing thermal signatures, this will be provided for you in the 'ready room'. Though I will make a note of the t-shirt idea...any further questions?" Given the nature of the task at hand, the Infiltration suit seemed to be the best choice, as moving silently through a jungle wasn't exactly easy to do in the first place.

Simulator S-10: Assessment Testing - Kia D'Naga; Control RoomNormally, the simulation would be pre-selected for an operative, however, Kia's display of finesse and prowess on Naboo, as captured by Krai Essen's body cam, indicated that Kia D'Naga was highly skilled already. Therefore, allowing her to choose her own difficulty in the simulations was being allowed by The Illusionist himself. Miranda observed the selections and made a note of them on her datapad."Your selections will be locked in and the simulation will begin once you are ready. The lift will take you down to the ground level of the simulation. I will remain up here to observe and offer insight, should you need it."Miranda motioned to the lift to the left of them. From there, once Kia exited the lift, the simulation would activate and she would find herself on the surface of Iridonia, facing off against both First Order stormtroopers and Blackguard Sith Troopers.

Simulator S-10: Assessment Testing - Kia D'NagaKia nodded as Miranda gave her the final instructions needed. Turning, she made her way onto the lift, glancing back to the woman once more before it began its descent. Once out of sight, Kia began rolling her neck as she began prepping herself for what was to come. She didn't know what to expect of the simulation and how real it actually would be. Would it be as tough as the real thing or would it be dumbed down based on programing? Questions she wouldn't know until it began. No matter what, even if there was no threat of death, she was given a task and she would perform it to the best of her ability.
Checking her weapons a final time, she focused her mind, working to ensure that she couldn't logic herself out of anything and would view it as a real scenario. Doubting very little that once it all began she'd think otherwise, she took a deep breath as the lift came to a stop and the doors opened. Only for a split moment did it seem like a typically barren training room, for as she stepped out, the program activated, changing the terrain around her.
A barren world for sure, one she wasn't of, but it didn't really matter. It was only a moment or two later that her enemies began to appear, the white and red of the armors shining in the light. No time was wasted on either side as blaster fire began to fly at Kia when she took a position behind a rock. Taking a deep breath, she slowed the sudden surge of her heart rate, before her eyes shot open and she removed the pair of DC-15 blaster pistols from their holsters.
She waited for a few moments, getting a feel for the pattern of fire among the group, listing for a slight moment of an opening before turning and popping up over the rock. She took aim and began to fire a few quick shots. None of them hit, despite how close they got, but the initial attack didn't come with a goal take any down, though she would never complain if it did. She needed to assess positions in order to make her move. She wasn't known for recklessness, even if she did occasionally rush into a group. It was about tactics and playing everything to the best advantage possible.
As the fire picked back up, Kia dropped down to a knee once more as the battlefield was set out within her mind. Five troopers each to start, it seemed. Nothing overly difficult in terms of numbers, though she expected that to change as she went. But she had what she needed to make her plan. The layout of the battlefield left a few in the open, four to be exact. The others were grouped in one or two-man teams behind rocks over varying height and distance. She would have to distract them and draw them into the open.
Setting one of her blaster on the ground by the edge of the rock, she set her sight on another a little ways away. With a burst of speed, she made her move, firing a few shots as she went. It was now that she attempted to line up her precision, which allowed her to land a couple of hits on one of the open Stormtroopers, bringing the count down by one. Sliding in behind the taller rock, she didn't have to worry about kneeling. With herself being put in where she wanted to be, she began to use the Force to manipulate the area just slightly. Dirt and dust began to rise from around the rock, giving her just enough of a cover to slide her second blaster pistol to the next rock. It was now time to set the trap.
The blaster fire of the troopers had ceased, which meant they were closing in on her position. So it was time to throw them off their game a bit. Giving a small burst of the Force from her being into the collecting dirt, she created a small cover in the area with it, enough to faintly cover her. Picking up some rocks, she began to throw them in different directions. Some could be seen, causing the troopers to fire, while others could only be heard. With her creating a small sleight of hand, she could make it seem as if there were more of her than initially thought.
As they began to spread out in order to check the other sounds and movements, she used the Force to lift her two pistols and peeked them from around the rocks, firing them randomly outwards into the group. The random fire alone took down a single Sith Trooper and another Stormtrooper fell to a knee after being hit in the leg. Removing her two slugthrowers, she leaped up onto the top of the rock she took cover behind. The cover was light and not really high, allowing her the ability to see the helmets of the troopers as well as the light from all the blaster fire.
Wasting no time, she fired a few shots, having some time to land precise ones. Three more went down in that instance: two more Sith Troopers and the wounded Stromtrooper. Five remaining. She jumped off with aid of the Force over the remaining soldiers, getting off another shot on a Stormtrooper before landing and ducking behind some cover.
With four remaining and her cover blown, it was time to take a more direct approach. With the troopers approaching, she forced her blasters to fire once more as a distraction, though none hit them. It allowed them to scramble a bit to move out of the line of fire. When she stepped up, she was able to lock in on a single Sith trooper where the other three were closer together. Jumping up, she ran at the trio as he pistol fired a single shot at the lone trooper. He shot seemed off and clear to miss had it not been her control of the Force. Gripping it, she altered its trajectory, making it "bend" in the air, lining it up directly to fire up in under the helmet.
Then came the last three. Moving for the center one, she leaped forward as the bolts came, bringing her gun up to deflect the trooper's arm to the side, forcing the shot to fly off. Her left hand holding up the trooper's arm, her right slipped underneath and fire at the trooper on her left. Slipping underneath his arm and behind him, her right hand moved up to take down the one on the right. And with a half spin, her right arm took the final trooper's left arm up and cradled it and his head, forcing him down into the barrel of her left gun, which fired point-blank.
It was the last of the troopers as she moved to the center of the area, summoning her blasters to her after replacing her slugthrowers, waiting for new instructions or for the simulation to progress.
