The Grey Unending broke through the planet's atmosphere and descended towards the academy building. The hanger was mostly empty. The great ship touched down and the hatch opened. Romulus and Serina walked out, and without stopping headed into the building.

The Skydance touched down at the Forcemaster's landing position. Several more ships had landed in his absence; the adolescents had also parked their speeder bikes in the lanes on the far side designated for them.
As Geenine walked away to get a lubrication bath, Angel walked out of his ramp in the opposite direction toward the Academy entrance.

Reaching the main foyer, Angel comlinked Geenine to prep his ship. As he reached, the ship's engines warmed up enough that the moment he boarded, the ramp closed and Geenine piloted the ship up and out into the atmo.

Romulus and Serina entered the Landing Pad and headed right for Romulus' personal ship; The Grey Unending. Soon, it lifted off the ground and flew off into the sky.

Angel's five hundred commandos hauled in metric tons from a cargo freighter. They were to build the W-165 planetary turbolaser here as an installed planetary defense emplacement for ground-to-space assault; the other weapons would be far noisier in terms of discharge, and could triple up as a ground-to-ground or surface-to-air defense as well.

Tempest landed the K-Wing and almost on cue, he met and convened with the other four Academy masters; Mentis and Decstalix emerging from the right wing, Coruscus and Requiem coming from the left. He rode out on his new acklay to meet them. He had to acclimatize it to the environment of eternal sun.
Impressive beast. So what is this important matter that requires all of us to be here?
Lords Angel and Romulus are on Ziost, and they need assistance in Sith magicks to repel the dark essence that's producing hostile Sithspawn. Mentis and Requiem, that means he wants you to get on that K-Wing and shuttle to him immediately./span]
And you?
I will stay here, in your place. You have a group training session later on, am I right? I can cover for you.
Then come, let us take leave now.
As Mentis and Requiem strolled towards the taxiing craft, Tempest walked in the opposite direction with Decstalix and Coruscus, catching up on small talk about Ziost.

Sith Academy. Hangar Level.
Behind a hastily made barricade of overturned crates, Kelborn and his men were locked in a firefight with the Academy Security personnel. Apparently they hadn't received the memo that the Academy was nearly under Imperial control. Regardless, Kelborn intended to push through. The Shadowtroopers assigned to his team were an incredibly useful asset. Their lightsaber pikes came in handy when dealing with Sith Acolytes and blaster fire. They would push forward while the Commandos laid down suppressing fire. Once a section was secured enough, Kelborn and his Commandos would move up and repeat the process. It was a slow go, but it was effective. Though it seemed those that wanted to leave the Academy were doing so. Evacuation shuttles were being loaded. Heading somewhere to regroup. Kelborn couldn't allow that to happen, however, he didn't have the manpower to push forward. There was too much resistance. Thinking quickly, he called to Admiral Bennette.
Admiral. Major Kelborn. Request emergency drop at the Landing Pads. We've got several shuttles making a run for it.
Bennette's reply was swift.
Understood Major. Spec Ops Troopers inbound.
Beneath his helmet, Kelborn grinned.
Exterior Landing Pads.
As the Dead Space moved into position over the Landing Pads, a dozen orbital drop pods were launched. Once they arrived, the silver armored Sith Troopers exited their pods and began taking the enemy from behind. The Sith Troopers, while resembling the soldiers from the days of Revan and Malak's Sith Empire, were genetically modified and upgraded with the latest tech to keep them as the pinnacle of Lord Savage's Special Operative Division. The leading Sith Trooper, clad in crimson hued armor to denote his rank as a Sergeant, was able to make contact with Kelborn.
Sir. Sergeant Major Mackenzie. We've managed to draw enough attention off of your team. Whatever you are gonna do, now's the time.
Kelborn wasted no time. He opened the all team frequency.
Alpha Team, push forward. Do not let those shuttles escape!
Without hesitation, Kelborn and the several Commandos hunkered down alongside him, sprang up out of cover and sprinted forward. The Shadowtroopers lunged forward with renewed vigor, deflecting blaster bolts, cutting down enemies and engaging the few remaining Acolytes. If this kind of pressure kept up, the Hangar Level would be under their control shortly...

Sith Academy of Iridonia - Skypad 7
Vasari had risen quite early that morning, after what she had determined was a three day stay in the Medical wing she was looking to get back into her routine, but something prevented that - a nagging at the back of her mind, that meddlesome boy that had 'saved' her from the Dungeons had done more than he knew. He had put her on the radar of the High Sorceress, made her appear weak and in need of such a weaklings assistance, and also he had overseen her speaking with Marka Ragnos - even if that is not what he knew he saw. He had quickly turned from an annoyance into a Liability - one that Vasari could ill afford - he had to be dealt with. Permanently!
Vasari had heard about contests that took place on SkyPad 7. The docking bay itself was set up to receive shuttles from the ships in orbit, but every now and then greater shipments of materials or at times dozens of new recruits were brought by Corvette class ships, and to allow those easier access to the Academy 7 SkyPads had been constructed high above the regular use hanger - with SkyPad 7 being the highest up overlooking the cliff face the Academy was built upon. The drop from Skypad 7's south face was nearly a mile and a half down into the chasms below the Academy and at the bottom a plethora of razor sharp rocks. It was here that the older Acolytes came to show off for the Master's Apprentices who rarely were ever seen congregating with the lower class students. But several times a cycle one or two of the Apprentices would hold these competitions for the bold, the powerful, or the foolish among the rising Acolytes.Vasari herself had never been here before - had never taken part in the 'games' and had no desire to distinguish herself among her peers in such a fashion - that did little to further her own goals. The boy however... was always here - and this cycle he would compete. As Vasari stepped out of the turbo lift that opened up to the wide scenic view given by SkyPad 7 she was held in awe for a moment at the sight before here. She could see for miles, hundreds of miles, out over the ravine across the red sand desert that she had come from to the very edge of Iridonia itself. The grandeur of the moment did not last for long - she was pulled out of her revered observation by the grating voice of the one that had brought her here, and she attempted to force a neutral expression to her face, knowing she couldn't muster a smile.
"Vassi! what are you doing here? Its great to see you!"
"I've come to watch you compete... You are taking part in the games today?"
She tried her best to work a sincere smile onto her lips, and found it was easier than she had thought. Taking a step forward she rested a gentle hand upon the boys arm."Oh please say you are... I did get out of bed early to come watch you."She smiled then, a smile that seemed to melt the boy before her.She called him boy, and that is how she saw him, but he was only a year or so her junior, and was quickly bulking up under the rough routine he was putting himself through in the early morning hours before even classes began. It wasn't the Physical aspect that was slowing him down, it was his mental state... that of a child.
"Ummm actually I was thinking about waiting, I don't think I'm ready, and there are three of them here today..."
Vasari felt his nervousness having lowered herself deep into the embrace of the living force to aide her in what she had come here to do. Moving her reassuring hand to the boy's shoulder she looked him in the eyes and moved her mind around his. She had only succeeded in the Qâzoi Kyantuska a single time, and even then her life was at stake, but much had changed about her since the invasion. The months that followed had shown her deeper and more complex ways of manipulating the living force, and now with the Trials of Marka Ragnos fresh in her mind, and the victories she had accomplished beneath the dungeons of the Academy she felt more powerful than ever as she let her silver tongue caress her lower lip before whispering... breathing even the name of the force upon his mind.
"You can do this... have faith in yourself. Show them all... what you are capable of!"
She lowered her hand and walked away from the boy, the power of the Qâzoi Kyantuska seeping into his mind leaving him rooted for a moment. Moving passed him she went to stand near the edge of SkyPad 7 waiting for the games to begin. She didn't look at the group, or the boy for many moments more, standing there with her arms crossed over her chest as the wind billowed her cloak around her scantly clad form. As the moments passed she was still holding the boys mind within her own, feeling the power of the trance she had placed over him work its magic upon his conscious mind. Unlike a normal mind trick, whose effects would dissipate after a few moments leaving the subjects mind clear, the Qâzoi Kyantuska influenced the subjects motivations, effectively changing in some cases the way the saw the universe, or in this case, the way one saw ones self. She could have simply ordered him to walk off the landing pad to his doom if that was her wish, and he would have done so simply because she had commanded it, but this required a more tactful hand. Many knew the boy, even though most held the same opinion over him that she did he wasn't disliked, simply the butt end of many jokes by the older more experienced students of the Academy, and they all knew suicide was not something he was capable of.
"Contestants! CIRCLE UP!"
Vasari was brought out of her thoughts by the call, and it was then she whispered a soft word of focus and broke the connection with the boys mind, only after he had taken that first step into the circle, to back out now would be worse than to never have stepped forward. He shot Vasari a look the moment she released him, and she gave him a nod a reassuring smile. ~Die with the Lie~ He nodded and returned the smile causing a soft exhale to escape Vasari's lips. It worked. The Apprentice who had spoken began to loudly explain the rules for all those who had gathered, easily shouting over the wind. It took her a moment to notice that he was the Juggler she had interrupted that day the boy had attempted to follow her into the Library. Though he never looked her way, she felt on edge because of his presence, and try as she might she could not seem to remember which of the Masters had taken him on.
The rules for the contest were simple. The contestants would take turns one by one performing a one handed hand stand upon the lip of SkyPad 7. They would erect a barrier of the living force around them to protect them as the apprentices gauged their strength, then a series of jugs of water would be spilled out towards them, falling over the ledge. The water would be electrified with lightning and if the contestant was able to withstand the current, or otherwise protect themselves and retain control of the hand stand they would succeed, otherwise the only other option was to collapse backwards to their deaths, or forwards into the electrified water. Everyone picked the painful shock rather than a mile high fall to their deaths.
"First Volunteer?!"
The first volunteer was always one of the Apprentices and everyone knew this. A hush fell over the crowd as they all looked upon eachother and then all eyes fell upon the third apprentice that had stepped forward and had already began balancing himself upon the lip of the landing pad. This Apprentice Vasari recognized - he had fought with the blademaster during the Invasion and somehow had survived even after being cut off from the blademaster and herself in the Library. He wasn't the largest, but he was strong, and Vasari had seen his strength that day. Her recollection of the memory of watching the Apprentice cut down a score of troopers before locking blades with their commander had played through her mind and she nearly missed his performance - he had simply chosen to levitate himself upside down over the water as it harmlessly trickled below his fingers. A simple choice, but affective for a trained and balanced mind. Still she had expected something different from him. As he lowered himself to the ground after the water had passed he gracefully regained his footing and silently went over to stand by the other apprentices. The next would be hand picked...
"YOU!"
All eyes fell upon the boy Vasari had literally talked into the ring. To his credit he did not hesitate as he stepped forward - he seemed prepared, he seemed ready. Vasari only smirked. She didn't move from her place at the edge of the pad, well away from everyone else - as was her norm, and no one had even looked at her even though everyone knew she was there. As the boy took his place she exhaled watching... then the water was released. As the Blademasters apprentice knelt to electrify the water Vasari felt a pair of eyes on her. They belonged to the Apprentice she couldn't place and she had to look back. When they locked eyes she could feel that the Apprentice was probing her mind, the presence was strong and she felt cold... that's it! She placed him at once after that feeling, he was the Apprentice of the High Sorceress herself. She must have told her apprentice of why Vasari had been in the Medical bay that day. She scoffed and rolled her eyes, almost effortlessly now lifting herself from the first three currents of the force to cloak her presence from the Force, there it was - he had been testing her. A smirk on his lips. Vasari's eyes turned back towards the boy when a low grunt of pain echoed from him, the Lightning had struck him but he was remaining upright. She looked over at him and feeling the Apprentice's gaze drawn returned to the three currents and reached out towards the boy wrapping her mind around his exploring her body in the same fashion the Sorceress had hers. She felt his body working struggling, he was attempting to absorb the lightning through the water, but his focus was divided and he was beginning to tilt. Vasari exhaled and reversed the blood flow around the boys neck, soon enough a powerful headache would take him, then she went higher, due to his suspended form, and turned his stomach onto itself creating a powerful feeling of vertigo to overtake him, he wouldn't know which way was which soon, and if the dizziness was even half as powerful as what she had experienced in the dungeons when he fell, he wouldn't be able to control which way he moved. After a moment she saw the effects of her work, his face almost turned green as he lowered his other hand into the water beginning to lose balance, there was a short cry of pain when the lightning shot through his other arm - being unprepared for the contact - and it was then Vasari righted everything she had done, releasing the blood from his neck and righting his stomach removing the Malacia and all traces of it from his body just as he began to fall. He fell to the side his body cracking against the edge of the lip and rolled off the edge... Vasari couldn't help but smile.
That was until the collective gasp came from the group and several reached out with the force in attempt to save him, but it was the Sorceress' apprentice that was there first - standing upon the ledge of SkyPad 7, locking onto him and lifting him from the 15 feet he had already fallen. Vasari's eyes widened - they never saved anyone that fell... that's when she noticed that the gasp had not come because he had failed, the gasp came when they noticed the Apprentice leap to the edge to save him. Vasari remained calm not showing a hint of an expression as the Apprentice lifted him to his feet firmly upon the landing pad. The look on the boys face was one of pure horror as he fought to keep the tears from his eyes in front of everyone that had gathered to watch him. No one spoke until the Apprentice...
"Let this be a lesson to all of you... These contests we hold, are not for the feint of heart, the weak, or for the cowardly. They are a test of skill for the Masters eyes... us... This is not a game."The apprentice looked towards the boy, his eyes narrowing as he lowered his voice to a whisper."And these contests are not for you to impress women... you knew you weren't ready and you let her goad you into it. Your mind is weak, and there is nothing more you can learn here..."The boys head lowered instantly - the apprentices did not have the power to expel acolytes from the grounds however their word would make it so few masters would ever give them the time of day. He parted his lips at last to speak, but before he could he noticed the Apprentice's hand already moving towards his chest a glimmer of silver... then a blinding red! The boy gasped in pain as the Apprentice's saber shot through his chest. The group encircling the contest area all took a step back as the Apprentice deactivated his saber and pushed the boys lifeless body over the edge of SkyPad 7...
"The Master's will no longer tolerate failure, the days the weak minded were able to rule over the Academy are over. Viox Savage... will no longer tolerate failure from his students... keep that in mind the next time you take part in one of these contests. No go... all of you!"
Vasari hid her surprise at this new turn of events well, but her mind was still reeling from what she had just witnessed, basically a public execution by a student... even an apprentice, of another student, such things have never been tolerated by the masters before. Everything would change... everythings... had... changed.

Sith Academy. Skypad 7.
For the past several months, Xakire had been out searching remote regions of the galaxy for artifacts and knowledge for the newly formed Blackguard, and of course for himself. He'd also been raiding some Alliance convoys and supply lines here and there as he went, but that wasn't his focus. No, he was focused on, like many Sith, power. He was disappointed with most of what he'd found. He didn't really get a chance to examine deeply many of the few artifacts he had found but from what he could tell none were particularly interesting or powerful.
But that didn't matter anymore. Xakire had found his way back to Iridonia, the seat of his Master, Viox Savage’s new Sith Blackguard. He had only been to Iridonia a couple of times before and never for very long. Xakire was here to see his master, but the Sith’ari was otherwise occupied and so Xakire had time to kill. He had only just arrived on his ship when he noticed a gathering of students of the Sith Academy on one of the platforms. He's heard rumours of these ‘contests’ ran by some Sith Apprentices for their own amusements but he'd never actually seen one, and with time to spare he decided he'd watch this one. As Xakire wasn't much older than most of the acolytes and apprentices here, and because he was certain no one here would recognise him, he was confident he could easily blend in with the acolytes, though he made sure to conceal his lightsabers.
He stood off to the side and silently observed as the acolytes tried to prove themselves in this rather pointless ritual. When one of the acolytes fell and was immediately saved by the apprentice, Xakire was unfazed and remained so even when the acolyte with killed. It was typical Sith behaviour and Xakire knew that the apprentice wouldn't just save the acolyte. He predicted a twist of some sort to come out of this, and while he hasn't predicted it would be a twist of the apprentices lightsabre, it hardly surprised Xakire. Illegal? Yes, but the Sith hardly cared for rules, even their own. He did wonder however if the apprentice would be punished.
Xakire had sensed and could presume from their actions and mannerisms that most of these acolytes probably would go on to be simply average Sith. None seemed particularly special...aside from one...the red skinned Zabrak seemed somehow different to the others. And no, it wasn't just her attire or lack thereof or her apparent relationship of some sort with the dead acolyte, there just was something different that Xakire could feel. He felt that she was stronger in the Force than Ye others. With still plenty of time to spare, Xakire decided to indulge in his curiosity and walked up quietly next to her. “A shame about your….friend…” he said in his well spoken Imperial accent. He was probing, trying to see how she would react.

Vasari had hardly turned from where she stood at the edge of the SkyPad 7 when one of the other Acolytes, for thats who she assumed he was, addressed her. Raising a hairless eyebrow ridge she tilted her head towards the lad. Couldn't be much older than her, if indeed he even was older, and by the looks of him had seen at least some life outside of the walls of this Academy - yet... Vasari had never seen him before. That did not overly surprise her, as she did not take much of an interest in any of the students here that she did not have direct contact with, either from the training yard, or in her classes. So when the boy spoke to her, his accent clearly marking him as an Imperial, she was instantly suspicious. Many new acolytes had come here since the First Order had laid claim to her world, and even though the new Sith'ari was indeed and Iridonian, and his Clan was one of the most influential on the planet, he did work for the First Order. Vasari considered her next words very carefully, but after a short moment of silent contemplation she whispered a reply.
"Not really..."
Was all she said as she looked over the edge of the SkyPad down, down... down to the almost invisible rocks below - cloaked still in the morning mist still clinging to the canyon walls. Something wasn't right, First the High Sorceress' apprentice suspicious of her actions and now this Acolyte addressing her... no one ever talked to her. She never knew if they were all afraid of her, or if they simply distrusted her and left her to her own devises, but none of the other students spoke to her. Turning her head back to the Acolyte she whispered once again.
"These 'games' bore me... and I need to train... Excuse me."
She looked into the Acolytes eyes then to nod her farewell, and something caught her mind. He appeared in place, sure his attire was a little fine for the average Acolyte, but there were many nobles son's and daughter's that came to study here from all over the Galaxy. Still she thought she noticed traces of armor weaved into his clothing, and that would have been strange. Before she could get a closer look she realized that she was lingering to long and nodded before attempting to step by him and move towards the Turbo lift. Actually she had been grateful for the distraction - it had kept the Sorceress' Apprentice from looking at her as the other acolytes all filed out leaving only the two of them, and the three Apprentices upon the SkyPad.

Xakire considered letting her go but quickly decided he was more interested in continuing to observe the female Zabrak. Her reaction to the boy who Xakire had assumed was at least acquainted with her was not what he expected, and he was intrigued.
"Not Really? I'd assumed you two were acquainted. You seemed to know each other. Well perhaps I was wrong. I've been known to be incorrect on rare occasions."
He wasn't bragging when he said that, it was more playful and joking and his tone made that clear. As she turned and attempted to 'flee', Xakire noticed her briefly examining him which he allowed for. He wasn't sure what she was thinking or looking for but he wanted to find out, or at least find out a bit more about her. Xakire stepped in front of her, not in a very agressive manner but still enough to block her from entering the turbolift.
"Funny you should say that. I would happen to agree with you, if I'm being honest. There are plenty of better things to do with your spare time, or any time really," he said with a grin. "I was heading off to train myself, and I could do with a new partner. My old one...well, I suspect he won't be up for sparing with me after the last time..." he asked with yet another grin. It wasn't sinister or evil looking and from Xakire's tone of voice he could very well have been joking...or not.

Vasari came up short when the acolyte cut in front of her. Her eyes narrowed threateningly at being made to stop and she turned her head towards him whispering in a voice that mirrored the emotion behind her eyes."We've both been here for quite some time, we've had a few classes together... we might have shared a few dozen words - that's it."Vasari's tone was short and marked by annoyance but every word was the truth. She took a step to the side and squared her shoulders with the other student - the movement not at all intimidating however she did not seem to back down to him either.
Once more she looked the acolyte over noting all the things that she seemed to overlook the last time. There was something about him that set her off guard, something that made him stand out. Her eyes turned from annoyed to interested as she reached out along the First current of the force towards him probing his baring and his mind gently for any sign of his being aware of her action, even while he continued to recommend they train together.
"I train alone...Something caused her to look to right and she noticed the three apprentices looking at her with an interested or inquisitive look as they whispered among themselves. There was a look in the Sorceress' apprentices' eyes that made her shiver and then she noticed him take a step towards the two of them and her sense for danger pulled her mind to focus - She needed to leave - now!... most of the time, but there was one thing i wanted to test out, and that does require an opponent... Shall we?"
She held her hand out towards the turbo lift reaching out with the force to open the doorway but waited for the other to make the first move, attempting to focus herself on remaining calm. The idea of training with this new comer was something she would happily take over the prospect of being questioned by the three apprentices, even on a normal day - not to mention today when she had in point of fact attempted to cause the death of another student.

Xakire was finally satisfied with the Zabrak's answer about the dead boy, though the Zabrak seemed to have been telling the truth, the boy seemed to have a different perception of the two acolytes relationship, at least from what Xakire observed when he was alive. Regardless, it hardly mattered and no longer interested Xakire anyway. But with that thought, Xakire noticed something. She was probing through his mind. Not particularly agressive but doing so nonetheless. He was shocked, such a power was far more advanced than any that Xakire would have expected that any acolyte could wield. Even Xakire struggled to use such a power himself. He did his best to try and block her powers as he glared at her, though he said nothing and otherwise made no other acknowledgment of what was happening. He then noticed the three apprentices becoming suspicious and that the Zabrak was quickly becoming uneasy and even worried. "After you..." he said as he beckoned for her to enter the lift. As the lift's doors closed he stood there with his arms crossed, looking at the three apprentices and smiling, almost taunting them. "Now," he asked once the lift was moving, "What was it you wished to try?"

Vasari shook her head slightly and moved into the turbolift without waiting for the other acolyte to join her and pushed for the bottom floor. Her mind slipped away when noticing the blunt force she met by the other acolyte - the norm when one did not train themselves in the uses of the mind - and the way the force could accent them. As the turbo lift sped away from SkyPad 7 she slipped away from his mind - as if cooed by his show of force, but as his mind was a blunt instrument of strength, and hers flowed upon the every changing currents of the Force and so she simply moved around his, remembering the way his eyes turned upon the apprentices.
"Applied Sorcery under heavy assault in armed combat"
She whispered softly raising an eyebrow at her new sparing partner.
"I assume you're capable of that..."
She was leaning back against the edge railing of the turbo lift, her butt precariously perched on the edge as she crossed her arms over bare stomach and raised one ankle to rest over the other of her planted foot. Her eyes still focused upon the other acolyte she continued to flow past the blunt defenses of his mind - like water through cracks in a stone wall - a little at a time, unable to be stopped, but slow, patient. She didn't seem as on edge as before - like that part of her had washed away and she was a new person now, with a new focus. Her focus was the one before her - her eyes narrowed just as his had - in amusement, but also in challenge.

She didn't seem as on edge as before - like that part of her had washed away and she was a new person now, with a new focus. Her focus was the one before her - her eyes narrowed just as his had - in amusement, but also in challenge. This acolyte was different. Xakire was right about that, he could tell. What he did not know was exactly how powerful she was or what her goals were. He intended on finding out. When she informed him what she had in mind, he thought of her attempts at probing his mind. He was...uneasy. She seemed incredibly powerful for her age and presumed lack of experience. It was now clear to him that he did not have absolute control over the situation, which worried him, though he could take care of himself he still had to tread very carefully. "Assumption can be dangerous...but yes, I can do that," he said, "By the way, I don't belive I've caught your name?" He asked.
Xakire noticed that the acolyte was seemingly more relaxed. He wasn't sure if this was becasue they were away from the apprentices or for some other reason and it further worried him. He maintained his composure but was wary of the young woman before him. She was dangerously close to the edge but she was clearly no idiot. She was trying to assert herself, trying to show power and a lack or fear. Or at least that was what he suspected.

As Vasari's mind continued to slowly leak its way through his defenses she peered out the empty 'walls' of the turbo lift - it wasn't a ridiculously long trip, but the SkyPad was really high so the turbo lift ride gave quite possibly the best view of the Academy as a whole. This one that had approached her spoke from either experience or ignorance learned from the lives of others, and he was right - it would be dangerous for her to assume which was which - in truth she knew next to nothing about him, and while that would normally never bother her he had approached her for a reason. Today of all days. As she looked back at him she chuckled softly - a sound that carried little joy but a wicked sort of amusement past her lips - at his use of the word "caught."
"Maybe that's because you havn't been running fast enough..."She whispered in retort just as her mind slipped past his defenses - a feat that would not have gone unnoticed as she grasped at the first bit of information she could find - of course the most obvious when talking about such things."...Xakire"
She wondered how he would react to the intrusion, and from that moment until the lift hit the academy floor level she didn't take her eyes off the acolyte, for his next words and reactions would define a large amount of his character for her. As their minds slowly combined Vasari took all the normal precautions, shutting off the 'doors' to her own mind all at once, a mental practice she had grown quite good at in training, but as she did so a flicker from Xakire's mind passed through to her perception, the simple image of Stars melting around a ship jumping to lightspeed, and then the image faded into nothing and there was no more.

Xakire’s first instinct when he realised that this woman had still manage to breach his mind's defences was to summon the power of the Force and crush her windpipe...but he refrained from doing so. It would get him nothing. If he instead continued this game to its conclusion, perhaps he would be able to use her. Maybe she would make a powerful ally or perhaps she would even be able to teach him how to stop this happening again, or better yet how to do it himself. She presented a unique opportunity.
After a brief moment of staring at her as he contemplated his next move, he took a step closer towards her until he was just in front of her, and he straightened up, drawing himself to his full height. He was a tall young man, not overly so but noticeably taller than the woman in front of him.
“Very impressive,” he said in a sarcastic tone as he attempted to reassert himself and regain the upper hand. His words and tone were chosen carefully. If he could goad her into trying something more than finding his name, he could gauge her strength and power more easily. “Not many acolytes could do that. Now you know my name, how about you tell me yours?” He asked. He may have been able to read hers but he wasn’t certain he could and decided best not to risk failure as that would make him appear weak or worse incompetent. “If you don’t want to tell me your name, I might have to come up with one myself.”

A pleased smirk spread across her lips at the original thought that played through Xakire's mind and a hand went to her throat caressing the soft tattooed skin beneath her jaw. "Xakire..." She whispered in playful voice that could be taken as both seductive and threatening at the same time. "You have to a least make a girl dinner before you treat her like that..."Just then the turbo lift hit ground level and she raised herself off her leaning position against the railing, standing toe to toe with him now that he had moved closer to her.
"I know. and I'm not 'many acolytes'... And my name is...Leaned forward even more taking a half step to his side to get closer to whisper against his ear."Vasari Nightshade."
Reaching out to the door switch she flipped it, and taking another graceful circlestep around Xakire moved out the portal into the courtyard - her feet falling gingerly upon the path that would lead them to the Sparing Arena, a sort of spring her step as she took that first step off the lift in a sort of skipping motion causing the short dress she wore to dance about her hips revealing a bit more skin than it already did, only serving to prove that her tattooing was indeed all inclusive. Tilting her thin jaw back over her shoulder she called out... "Coming?" Then was bounding off towards the Training Grounds.

Xakire wasn't sure if the woman he know knew as Vasari was attempting to threaten or seduce him, but either way he was unfazed. If she was threatening him, he was confident he could beat her in combat and if she was being seductive, it didn't affect him because he refused to give her any sort of power or sense of accomplishment.
“It's a bit early for dinner,” he said back eloquently. “And another word of advice, people think far more highly of you when you accept a compliment. No need to brag.”
He then followed her out of the lift once it had stopped, noticing more of Vasari’s already highly exposed skin. Does that ever actually work? He wondered if many other men actually fell for her advances and seduction which Xakire was certain served only for Vasari to manipulate people. For lesser men, probably, he concluded as he followed close behind her towards the Training Area.
