Gavin worked to bring his assault against Carvish, keeping up his mind to prepare his defenses for the attacks that came. The minutes passed by as he worked to figure out what style worked best to get Carvish started though it didn't truly matter in the end. Like Cayne, as his apprentice, Carvish would learn all forms of combat to give them the greatest advantage. For a bit, it seemed as if gavin figured out what form worked best for the Echani, though just before he could end the fight, the style switch, focusing directly on strength. Continuing on for a few minutes more, Gavin finally brought the battle to an end.
Well done. Good work making me have to keep going by switching up your style as you did. With this fight, I would suggest learning Form IV for the acrobatic aspect, then Form V for the focused strength. In the end, though, I will have you learning all of them as part of your deeper training, so if you wish to start reading up on them, you can. Of course, for now, look to your Echani heritage and learn the martial arts of your people. Later, I'll have other forms for you to learn as well. That is all. Please send in Cinnik."

Having been relived by Carvish, Cinnik made his way back to the other room where Gavin waited for him. As he entered, he gave a slight bow and began speaking before the question could be asked.
Master Gavin. I can't truly say I know who exactly I wish to be or the power I hope to gain. I've debated the thoughts over in my mind for the past year, but despite it all, I haven't been able to find something specific that stands out to me. Countless days in meditation and hours studying in the library has given me no clarity. What I do know is that I feel as if I'm different than the rest. When I say that, I mean in regards to the Dark-Side. I see the value within it, but normally, I have to care to truly draw upon it and utilize its more aggressive aspects. I prefer to take things easier, avoiding conflict when necessary. I deeply enjoy my meditations and letting myself slip into the deeper flows of the Force and working to better harness my Telekinesis. I also enjoy the art of weapon control that you've shown us, especially the lighter side in which I let the Force flow through me and become one with it."

Before Gavin could ask the question, Cinnik began going on with his response, to which Gavin listened. The Nautolan understood himself, which was good. What he didn't know was who he wished to be and what he hoped to achieve. Still, the words help define more than Cinnik realized. It was merely a matter of defining what he knew of himself into a means of power and self. "I think you may have a better idea of yourself than you truly realize. You are like me in many ways. You don't see the point in dwelling on anger and other emotions, seeking to let things slid off your back and take life in stride. You don't deny your power, the darkness, or having to fight, just simply do not seek to utilize them if not necessary. To me, you are like water in a gentle stream, a gentle flowing current. I would suggest you think about that and tell me what you think. If so, perhaps you'd do well in learning Alter Environment, especially in manipulating water. And from there, you might have an interest in ice, to which you could learn Cryokinesis. Then in order to freeze others to stop them from causing issues and to relax, Force Stasis Field. That locks a body in stasis and allows you the chance to avoid fighting should you wish to go a different way. Think upon these things and later, tell me what you discover. If that does fit you, then you have something to start with. Otherwise, we'll see what else fits you." He then began to walk around Cinnik. "I would have us spar, but considering your words, I don't think we need to. Considering that you prefer to avoid combat and should you hold the nature of water as I expect you do watching you in training, Form II will suit you well. And your frame suggests to me Form IV should you find yourself in a situation where you have to fight more aggressively."
Giving a small laugh, he moved up to Cinnik and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Guess it was a little easier to sort things out than we thought. But that is all. Please end Theranna in." When Theranna entered, He was against the wall with arms crossed across his chest. "So, Theranna, what have you discovered about yourself? Anything you can see that'll shed some light on our situation?"

As Cinnik told her it was her time to see Gavin, Theranna's stomach tightened. She had already gotten nervous bit by bit as the days went by, knowing that'd she eventually end up alone in the same room with him, and even more starting the day before when it was said it was her day. Now she became more and more anxious watching the others go in. And finally, it had come down to her. Her steps a bit slow, she entered the other room, barely able to look at Gavin without the risk of blushing.
Wasting no time, the question was presented to her and with it, she froze. She had no answer. For all her time training, trying to become stronger, she had never really given thought to who she was or what she wanted to actually achieve. Sure, she wanted to become strong enough to prevent others from experiencing the same thing she did, but the actual approach was something that eluded her. Even with the recent mulling it around in her head had presented no answers. It was a few moments before she gave a sigh, shaking her head and looking up to him fully since arriving, her disappointment in herself overtaking any embarrassment she'd face just being in the same room as her crush.
"I'm afraid I don't have an answer to that question. I've put great thought into it, yet I haven't figured out what path I truly wish to take. I've been so caught up on ensuring the promise made to me was fulfilled that I haven't thought about the how of it all. I wanted the strength to keep others from facing the loss of their families to criminals and the like, something the Sith said they could give me. And it is true that it is being fulfilled, I just wasn't expecting to find my own way in the matter. All I know is that I want to be strong and capable." She knew that wasn't the answer he sought from her, but it was all she had. She hadn't even spoken to any of the others, realizing that the others were in the same place as she. And so, his eyes seemed to bear down upon her as she thought on the disappointment he felt towards her failure to figure it out.

Gavin watched with an inward smirk as Theranna arrived and avoided looking at him at the start. It seemed that she still held her little crush for him, something that she didn't realize he knew. As far as he was concerned, he wouldn't let on either. She would grow on her own and move away from it in time, but for now, it proved just as effective as everything else in getting her to push harder if only to impress him.
When she started to speak, the tone shifted to disappointment in herself at not having an answer for him. She went on to speak of what she wanted out of her training, but the path eluded her still. When she was finished, he stayed silent for a moment before speaking. "I see. Well, I think I have a good idea on an approach that fits you. From talking with others and from my own observations, you tend to come and go in the blink of an eye, there one second and gone the next. Quite stealthy, if I do say so myself. And your style of combat is focused around your smaller frame, being acrobatic and fast in nature. Based upon that, you carry an assassin-style form of combat and nature, though not necessarily the mind of an assassin. As such, I'd recommend looking into the Force abilities of Force Cloak and Force Stealth which work to lessen or eliminate your presence in the Force and to completely hide you from sight by bending light around you. Then there's Force Stasis Field, an ability that can put people into a state of stasis, allowing you to completely move around enemies without knowing you were even there and avoiding conflict when needed." He then smirked a bit as he thought about fighting her, though knew it was unnecessary with her as it was with some of the others. "I would suggest sparing with you, however, I don't think there is a need. Your primary style focuses on speed and acrobatic forms, which makes you a prime student for Form IV. As a secondary form, I'd suggest Form II due to accommodate your smaller form for a graceful and fluid style. Sound good?"

It took all Theranna had to keep her eyes from growing wide, though she doubted any success in doing so. He talked with the others about her? He was actually paying attention to her? And even more than that, he was able to establish something about her that she hadn't even realized about herself. It was true that she tried to keep herself hidden away a bit when watching him, but to take things like that and create it for an approach to a particular path of power, she couldn't fathom it.
Listening to everything he said, she thought back on her fights with the others, especially the one that happened a year ago. She was more focused upon speed and using her smaller frame to move around the area more freely. So she couldn't help but agree with his assessment. Then the simple fact that he recommended it, it was all she needed to go ahead and agree to it. If that's what he saw, she'd go for it. There was a slight disappointment in the idea they wouldn't be sparring, though she was also glad they weren't. As he finished and asked her what she thought she gave him a nod and spoke with an ecstatic tone.
"Yeah, it sounds good. I'll look into those forms and abilities as soon as class is dismissed. I'll work hard to learn and grow as you hope for us." Not even waiting for her dismissal, she assumed that was all that was to take place as he gave her a smile and a nod, but no response. Joining back up into the group, she continued working with her training until they finished their allotted time for the day. The moment Gavin dismissed class, Theranna was the first to take off, nearly breaking out in a run to get to the library as the others followed behind.
As they were let go, Gavin made sure to let Xar, Zul, and Raara know that they would be next on the list.

With another day coming to a start meant the next batch of students to go through and help sort out their desires. To start it off, He called Xar into the other training area the moment he arrived. He had noticed for some time the insatiable thirst for knowledge and his ability to quickly absorb everything he learned and reapply it. Unlike most of the students, the Falleen was one he had a pretty good hunch about when it came to determining his path.
As they entered the smaller room, Gavin walked about casually. "You have been doing quite well, Xar. You have quite the desire to learn and can use said knowledge quickly. I hope your time in the library hasn't worn out all it has to offer you."

Xar followed Gavin, giving him a bow before laughing a little.
"Thank you, master. I try to learn all I can. ever since I was little, I've wanted to know all I could. It was that very fact that has led me to the Sith. I crave knowledge and always wish to learn more. Luckily, the vast amounts of knowledge here is more than go through in a few mere years. It'll take a lot longer before I could ever go through what is currently there."

"I see. Never lose that drive to learn, but a word of caution. Don't let it take control of you. Know when you must show restraint. Sometimes, the knowledge you seek can consume you. But that warning aside, have you figured out what path you wish to walk? Or is this it? To continue learning as a scholar among the Sith, taking charge of the infinite amounts of knowledge that lies here and guiding others to said knowledge?"

Xar shook his head.
"As interesting as a role as that would be, to become a future librarian and keeper of knowledge, no. I desire to learn is the guiding light of my path, to be sure, but I want to pursue knowledge that isn't so easily obtainable. I will keep in mind your warning in moving forward so as to find the restraint when dangerous knowledge that would be considered forbidden comes to my attention. But having thought about it, I feel I would find my greatest calling as an intelligence officer, you can say. Interrogations, even being sent off to learn of new fountains of knowledge that need to be gathered and studied. It carries its own adventures and dangers, unlike that of someone simply minding the books within the academy. But being a keeper of knowledge would be something to think on."

Gavin raised an eyebrow then nodded at Xar’s words. "Quite the desire. The Blackguard would no doubt find use for such a man. As such, Force powers I’d recommend Alter Image to more easily convince others to open up to you by appearing to be someone else. Then the different takes on persuasion and mind dominating powers. Then, of course, there is Drain Knowledge where you force the information you want from their minds by force. But if that is a path you wish to follow, you’ll still need to be a strong warrior. So face me and let’s see what style best fits you."
With only a moment to ignite his saber as the only warning, Gavin made his attack.

Xar took the words to heart and considered them a confirmation as to the abilities he had, in fact, be looking at. But there was little time to dwell on them as Gavin made his attack. Finding a liking for wielding two blades, he often carried both training sabers and ignited them both as he worked to defend against the master’s barrage. Using the defense of two sabers, he was able to hold him off well enough, using one to hold and after position as the other worked to push, parry and deflect. He didn’t carry a larger frame as did most of the males, meaning his use of strength was less than them. So he compose to use his opponent’s weight against them.

It didn’t take any time to see the style that beat embedded itself into Xar’s form. Ten minutes was more than enough for him to end the spar and give the Falleen his analysis. "Good. I see you having the makings of a great Form II practitioner. You are much more focused on precision and deflection, and using Jar’Kai further works with you and your mindset to create openings. Very well done. That is all. Please send in Zul."
When the Cerean arrived, Gavin looked the boy over. It was a rare thing, to see one of his race follow the way of the Sith. Typically they were able to process the Dark-Side better than most but usually always walked the way of the light. Whoever had successfully convinced Zul to join the Sith had quite the talented tongue. "Tell me, Zul. How have you been finding your classes?"

With the time with Xar at an end, Zul made his way into the room as Xar took his place. Immediately, a question was presented to him, but not the one he expected. For a moment, it left him slightly confused, but he shook it off and answered.
"I have been finding them most helpful and enjoyable. I have seen some of the other students outside of your classes and can tell the difference between your approach and that of the Sith. We have all seen the effectiveness behind, but even still, I say that it feels as if being in your class is more beneficial. It is focused and dedicated, yet it doesn't diminish us through constant hounding upon our failures and instilling more hate than anything. You seem to find a proper balance between nurturing us and judging us to better push us forward."

As Zul's words came, it took a bit to restrain himself from smirking. Zul had been paying attention to what had been happening around him and saw what he hoped to achieve with his approach to training. "I'm glad to hear it. You, like Xar, have an exceptional ability to learn quickly and use what you gain just as quickly. Do keep it up, but never forget that in order to get the best out of something, patience and dedication is required to ensure you get the most out of each lesson. But now, have you figured out what path you wish to walk?"

Zul smiled a bit as he praise his ability to learn.
"Thank you, master. I will be sure to keep that in mind and seek to always take time and get the most out of ever piece of knowledge. As for what path I wish to take, I have found a deep interest in seeking knowledge regarding science. This particular search has made me very interested in Sith Alchemy. To understand the deeper knowledge of the creation of different things that can aid the Blackguard is what I want to achieve."

"I'm quite certain that the Blackguard will find great interest in your desire to craft things that aid the order. So if that is what you wish to pursue, then do so with dedication. Your mind will do well in fulfilling that purpose, I'm sure. In pursuit of the art, I'm not sure what all I could suggest to further your abilities, skills, and purpose. But do keep your mind open to new things that can do so. But now, face me in a little spar and let us see what skills you possess and what path would be good to walk as a warrior."
Igniting his saber, he waited only a few moments before attacking.

While Gavin might not have been able to provide any help in other abilities to learn, Zul wasn’t left disappointed. There was much to learn in the arts of Alchemy that he’d have more than enough to learn. Besides, Gavin has taught them more than enough skills to use in a fight.
When Gavin wishes to spar, the Cerean nodded and ignited his own saber. He kept himself defensive, leaving his own attacks to be simple as was with Shii-Cho. He didn’t see himself as the fighter as others were, but knew there would be times he’d have to fight. Otherwise he wouldn’t concern himself with combat at all. Still, he worked to give the man a challenge, using the skills taught to him.

Yet another who chose to follow a simple path of combat, he saw. Within it there was also just a touch a of defense. With his examination finished, he ended the spar. "You chosen a simple path, one well suited for Shii-Cho. The only other form I’d suggest learning is Form III due to its defensive nature. But that is all for now. Bring Raara in"

"What questions do you have for me, master?"
