I like the inclusion of the Mines, Solomon. I'd recommend including aspects like worker pay, division of labour, unionization, etc. Things people worry about in a poor (or at least uncertain) economic climate.

I disappear for 6 months to start med classes and lo and behold, when I get back to my social life, something epic is in the works! I may just have to start up a "Jedi smuggler" to spark an interplanetary incident someday :3

Well, I've been trying to find a solid reason other than Nostalgia sake to bring back Cath and well now I have that reason. Thank You so much Sin. This idea is absolutely amazing in my opinion and if there is anything along the way that I can do to help plane or divvy stuff up just shoot a message my way. If this works like I hope it does, this site just got a whole lot better.

With the Mando Holy Crusdae almost over I will bring this back to the forefront of everyone's mind. I am awaiting a go ahead by our lovely creator of this idea before I start doing my things.

For the Cold War, as the Imperial forces are gaining strength from their recent victory at the Battle of Kuat, my contribution to the greater aspect of the Site would be to blockade the Corellian Trade routes near their connecting points at Sarapin. This would draw heavily upon the idea from SWTOR and their Mandalorian blockade of the Hydian way, but include the necessary flavour text to fit in suitably well with the current state of affairs here upon JvS.
I believe that having this stoppage of goods in place, would make a perfect opportunity for our smuggler elements to take a crack at running a blockade. Should they desire to take the short route from Corellia to Coruscant, rather than having to go through the Deep Core or into Empire space itself. Building upon that, the direction it could take would indirectly threaten the Republic as their capital has a lack of goods constantly flowing to and from Galactic City, leaving the Republic in a very interesting position as to what to do about this obstruction.
One example I can think of off the top of my head, would be to have a third party faction come in and try to break the blockade with the promise of a healthy sum of Republic Credits. Border skirmishes and Proxy wars, Get some.

Oh I wouldn't recommend the Deep Core with it's heavy implied Imperial presence and it's super unnavigatable hyperspace lanes.
Where as I will be focusing on differing things. DMing skirmishes, rescues, data stealing, espionage, and the likes. Similar in idea to the Friday night fights just more pointed.

Not to mention my remnants being able to troll all of those outside of Empire Space if they are too stupid to cover their tracks.

Just so People know I will be using Nubia as a Republic held world with Imperial rebels trying to vest control. It's a powerhouse world for agriculture and partially for Nubian shipyards. It has not been used in over 6 months.
The other planet which will be the opposite will be Agmar. Imperial in nature some Republic people are going to want to take it to deprive imperials of vital food. Of course they can't let on they are doing to subterfuge.
Also this is as much for me as for y'all to see because I'll forget. Don't worry criminals I haven't forgot about y'all. I'll look for something there later.

I need to have a conversation with the Chancellor and get this kicked off IC. I'll post something in the Senate this weekend that will lead to Sin declaring herself Emperor and the formation of the Galactic Empire. As soon as that takes place, we're good to go.

So, in accordance with the coming Cold War storyline, the name of the Dark Tide is about to change to the Galactic Empire. Sin's always had a deep love and respect for the success of Palpatine so she is resurrecting the Empire because well why the heck not.
So fair warning, this week you will notice the change.

Well, the Imperial Remnant just joined up at a summit on Bastion with a boatload of planets in the Deep Core. There are some skirmishes on Nubia and Corulag that people were planning. The Empire is headquartered on Kuat and the Senate has been notified that we are seceding from their inability to lead and protect those they foster.

Whose setting up these skirmishes and what do they involve. I am hoping if I can get a band of writers together I would like to write a Jedi presence in an attempt to dissolve the aggression; thoughts please

Nubia is my domain if it's still a go. I was gone for about two weeks. Basically it's a protest that turns violent. People are fed up with the way the corporation there pays them then gets their money right back as they own everything. As well taxes, refugees and so on. Tensions break at some point due to either Imperial agents, or some Sith that happened to be passing through. There is a Jedi there and a few others.
