There is a border skirmish/bush war in the works for the Tingle arm. Still working on sorting out all the details with the other writer.

So Gideon, Diva and anyone else involved with this thing in the Deep Core. When we get tothe part of clashing armies are you going with the no survivors step or cut off the head of the snake and forgive the solider route? Just so I know what to do with Erebus.

Personally, I like to set up the frame of a story and flesh it out with the In Character results. So when we get to the clash between the Imperial forces and those of the dissenters, I think both options would be employed. The Major may seek to end this conflict as swiftly as possible, thus killing off the Rebel command structure; while my Legion and I would relish a protracted Campaign to bloody the recruits during the planned sieges.

Have there been any new developments in the Cold War RP? I've been skimming about here and there, but haven't found much going on.

The Deep Core is currently on the verge of rebellion and civil war.
Eraidu is seeing a upswell of military personnel that is barring ridiculous.
That's about it from my angle.

We are currently in the beginning stages of the civil war and rebellion of the Deep Core. Aargau is the first stage with (no particular order) Foerost, Khomm, Aargha and Ojom to be other hot spots of rebellion. All are welcomed to join! Gideon is already playing the instigator for the Khomm rebels alongside Xeonon. And I am instigating the Aargau revolt which is the first on the list.

That's a great set list! lol Anyone particularly interested in writing/working with/against Black Operations commandos? If not, we'll just slip in and around and spy on everyone, collecting intel. hahaha

That would almost depend entirely on your organizations ability to write alongside overzealous religious fanatics eager to dear down the resurgent Imperial Regime. From my angle, at least.

We just completed portions of the Mandalorian Holy War, so we're used to overzealous religious fanatics. lol
Our Black Operations Groups consists of a total of ten or so commandos, who perform on just about any mission you can think of. I see no reason why we wouldn't want eyes and ears as close to the heart of these two groups as possible. That way we could keep tabs on how things are developing, and best gauge a course of action, if it's decided there should be one at all. Basically, infiltration or simple observation for the purpose of intelligence gathering.

Oh, I know very well of your involvement in the Mandalorian Crusade and of GALSAF's abilities. So if you wish to become involved, feel free to send me a message where we can hash things out accordingly.

You'll have to enlighten me sometime then, we've had a hard time figuring out what the final details should be, considering how much of a clusterf*** all our RP turned into. lol
I've dropped a couple of our guys into Aaghra's orbit, to give us something IC to start speculating on. We'll spread out and start poking around the other worlds we find active.

If any of ya'll want to write an insurgency campaign instead of an all-out war, let me know. I can drop a regiment of Republic dogs- er, soldiers, where requested.

Insurgency sounds fantastic. It's something I have direct experience with and have wanted to draw into RP for a while now. I'm thinking that might be our organization's best place in the Cold War itself, to be honest. We already serve no standing government, our focus is on the common folk, which is most often where you see insurgency and counter-insurgency take root: Civilian populations. Our organization is far too small to face other factions directly in open conflict, which isn't the main goal of this RP to begin with.

Well alrighty then. Only three things I'll require:
1.) A planet to drop on.
2.) A suitable crisis; probably a failed or inadequate pro-Imperial revolution. Maybe one of your cells got too excited, mistook a signal or something, tipped their hand before you had all your ducks in a row.
3.) Assumed control of the skies (initially). I am absolutely terrible at writing fleet actions, so I'd rather skip this by entirely if possible. If that's not possible, then I'll need a volunteer to write the escort for my transport ship(s) as they take position over the planet.

We'd actually be working alongside you, rather than against. I'll have to stress the importance that we don't typically take sides, but figure how best to help the civilian populations themselves. Sounds like we'd be best suited working to support your efforts. Maybe your intel folk pick up on our presence in the Deep Core and we tag along? If that all makes any sense. I do alright with fleet actions, though I need more practice, to be sure. This might actually be a good opportunity to get that practice.

Proxy war, proxy war, who really loses in a proxy war?
That's the chorus to a song I'm writing for Sinistra. I hope she likes it.

Ander: My mistake! In this case, I'll be happy to write alongside you and any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Though I still have a little tweaking I need to do on this account in terms of ships, men and such. Also, just an FYI, the 401st isn't going to land and be all "Hearts and minds. "They're modeled off of the old Soviet army or Sherman's Army, so wherever they go... it won't be pretty.

Oh, so you adhere to the concept of Deep Battle?
To be honest, I feel that it's been rendered ineffective by asymmetric warfare, airborne infantry, and air superiority along with a heavy emphasis on mobile artillery.
What do you think?
