Right ... So it's Ares' arrival that is causing that weird face on baby girl, I can work with that. I know that he is here because he needs to talk with his siblings but I sure hope that he can keep that can of worms closed for today at least, because something is telling me no one really wants to deal with that right now, or today. Shaking my head at Ryan when he asks me or baby girl if the two of us can pull some strings on that front, I gesture to his sister who gives the correct answer. "Nope, but I am sure that Pookie and/ or Lover Boy very well could just like Boss Man, I know that the fleet up there in space is actually the Mist Order's but from what I understand Lover Boy specified that the whole fleet also answers to the Government in terms of war and planet's security overall, especially when it is screening the incoming traffic. The fleet is the Order's originally but it doesn't need it so it has handed that to the Government."
Since apparently Pookie has arrived with his guest, I look in that direction but I am delightfully surprised that Boss Man is here too, who announces that it's actually Pookie's birthday, which is why I am looking at him with an annoyed expression. Even if I do look serious right now, I am just joking, I am sure that he knows that much about me now. "That they do, Andros. I am obviously referring to the siblings herewith present and if he can pull that string all the better, but putting that matter on a shelf right now, I look at Ayodele when baby girl does the introduction and I wiggle my fingers in her direction with a warm smile. Likewise Ayodele, please just make yourself at home and enjoy the sun."
Swimming towards the edge of the pool to get out of it, I grab my towel from the lounge seat there and wrap it around my body to dry off a little. I overhear Pookie's words and laugh at what he is saying before rolling my eyes. "Pookie, you and I both know that you actually wanted her to be here, so please don't play the innocent card. Winking at him and smiling at Ayodele before looking upwards in fake exasperation, I finally pick up my glass since I need a refill and I look at baby girl dubiously but also the Hapan Bombshell there and Gorgeous if they also need a refill. More drinks or should I start grilling?"

Crystal smiled warmly when Franz officially introduced his date to everyone and she looked at the bottle Ayodele was holding before smiling once more. "Thank you for the bottle, but you really shouldn't have." Crystal sincerely said and yes she was touched by the gesture and also yes she was grateful for that and it really made her smile before looking at Franz with a meaningful expression though it sounded like Ayodele didn't want anything and Franz was also bent in getting his own bottle of water.
"Thank you for the compliment, although I am sure that if it weren't for my housemates, this place wouldn't be as lovely as it is now." There is a partial truth in that at least for Crystal, she was known to be a workaholic, and she was known to perhaps leave things untouched, but with her dad's gift back on her birthday where she also found out that she was attuned to the Force, she had focused herself into gardening and just clear her mind whenever it was necessary. Crystal thought she wouldn't spend as much time as she usually did in the gardens or in the pool even if she did like the water. But yes, she had Elika and Lily to thank for spending as much time in different areas in this house given to her by the Senator.
"Is that what Franz has told you?" Crystal pursed her lips before looking at the man himself but Lily of course just blurted things out as they were. But Franz also did say something that was true, he of course had to be here, and therefore just to facilitate the whole thing for him, Lily first had extended the invitation to Ayodele. "Lily does have a point, Franz..." Glancing at her childhood who offered if some of them wanted more drinks or if she should start grilling, Crystal shrugged to indicate that she wasn't hungry just yet but she did gesture to the drinks right now.
Right, Crystal already knew a few tidbit about Ayodele from Franz, apparently during their date last night the woman seemed cold, and she figured right now that the joyful laughter had something to do with the sun that was in plain view. "Just lay down, enjoy the sun and relax, also make sure that Franz is tending to you perfectly," She said jokingly before adding on seriously this time with the same warmth in her gaze. "If you do need anything, please don't hesitate to ask." Crystal picked up her cocktail glass and downed that before making her way towards the bar and she noticed the bottle of wine with the bow around it. That obviously caused her to smile.

"You know it, my Shakal." Lana murmured softly about finding other things to do together, she had a few ideas, like perhaps have a cup of coffee, or even have lunch or dinner together but those were things she could think about for later on as right now she was more reeling to the fact that she was already spending some time with Elika, it was perfect enough.
Ares had finally contacted his siblings then, that was great news considering that it had been a while since both Crystal and Ryan were trying to reach him but both were unsuccessful. "I just hope that it has brought them, Crystal and Ryan, that comfort to know that he is alright, they have been trying to join Ares for a while from what I do understand." Lana had noticed that slight frown from Elika and she wondered if the fact that Ares had finally reached out meant that he was bearer of bad news or something. Not really knowing what to say or actually she preferred not to say anything because it wasn't her business to pry, Lana just reached out for Elika's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze.
Apparently it was Franz's birthday and no one really knew about that, unless they were relatives to the man but clearly even Crystal or Elika didn't know. "Maybe he isn't big on birthdays, or he just doesn't like the attention that way either." It was a simple guess really but the way Andros really blurted that out, she wasn't believing that Franz didn't like the attention so to speak, or at least he wasn't bothered by it really. "Or maybe he doesn't want his closest friends to fuss about that and just will take immaterial gifts, like your presence?" It seemed to be that way perhaps, then again she wasn't certain.
"Pleasure meeting you too," Lana finally said to Ayodele with a grin before glancing at Elika again and giving her hand another squeeze. "Would you like something more to drink?" Lana asked softly since she noticed that Lily seemed to be asking that question to both her and Elika. But if she were going to return into the water, perhaps it wasn't such of a good idea to actually have another drink so soon.

Unable to keep from laughing when Franz comments on how he was for some reason obligated to be here today, after which he adds that it was Lily that persuaded him to invite her, Ayodele affects a playfully concerned expression as she teases him, "You have to be here, and your arm required twisting to ask me to come? You certainly know how to make a woman feel wanted Franz." Patting Franz's arm, her hand warmer than usual for a change thanks to the sun, Ayodele smiles in amusement to make it evident that she only chides him in jest before turning her attention to Crystal as she speaks to her and Franz.
"Thank you Crystal, Ayodele tells Crystal with a smile after instructed to ask for anything that she might need, and then tilts her head to the side when Franz asks for her to share her thoughts as though considering her answer. I am thinking that it is nice to feel the sun, Ayodele answers honestly and simply though not completely after a moment, and then follows Franz to the lounge seats. Remaining standing after Franz sits, Ayodele sets her shoulder bag on the seat beside his so that she can take her beach towel from inside to lay out on the seat. Setting her bag beside the seat, Ayodele says, I think I will take a quick swim," as she removes her sarong, revealing the black floral bandeau bikini she wears beneath it.
Walking with her usual languid grace to the edge of the pool, Ayodele smiles warmly when Delaana greets her, settling for a nod so she does not interrupt her and Elikapeka's interaction. Dipping a toe into the water to gauge the temperature, Ayodele smiles as she finds to her surprise that it is quite warm rather than cool, and then lowers herself into the water before submerging herself entirely to swim beneath the water towards the opposite end of the pool. Turning without surfacing upon reaching the other end of the pool, enjoying the sensation of gliding smoothly through the warm water surrounding her, Ayodele kicks off the wall to swim to the end she began from before surfacing at last. Dipping down and arching her back to wet her hair and smooth it back, smiling as happily as she had when lifting her face to the sun, Ayodele treads water for a few moments to float and enjoy the sun and water warming her before swimming to the edge of the pool and pulling herself out from it. Walking over to appreciate the garden near the pool she had spotted earlier, Ayodele kneels before it to gently stroke a few of the blossoming flowers and inhale their scent before returning to the seat beside Franz, smiling her amused smile as she flicks her fingers to send a few droplets of water onto his face, telling him, The water is divine, you should take a swim yourself," before she lays down on the seat with a contended sigh to enjoy the simple pleasure of soaking in the sun.

... And he did it again.
Franz groaned internally knowing that he only had himself to blame since well he was voicing out his thoughts and sentiments the wrong way. He opened his mouth to explain himself but not only he'd feel that he would be digging a deeper hole but he could very well see that Ayodele was just definitely pulling his leg and for that he just shook his head with an amused and sheepish expression. Something told him that she would definitely be getting along with the women here and perhaps particularly Lily who in her stead, Ayodele seemed to be doing just fine in the trauma front.
"Okay, okay, okay!" Franz lifted both of his hands in the air as if he was surrendering while looking at both of the childhood friends there. "I do admit that I do wanted her here so I could spend some more time with her." He solemnly said as if it was some dark deep secret or whatever but it was obvious anyways so why would he want to hide that? "Though, you know..." Franz smiled faintly as he looked at Crystal knowing that she better than anyone would understand too, her boyfriend, who was the current Headmaster of the Mist Order, had mandated Franz here. Franz had of course accepted without apprehension at all and he was glad to be here back amongst the living so to speak. For a long moment, especially after he had come back from Coruscant because he had found out that his biological mother had been sick, Franz had isolated himself back in the Academy and just spent his days often either teaching or just training.
It wasn't the fact that Franz had been saddened by his mother's sickness or even passing, it was just the type of reaction and welcome he had received that really downed him and made him so serious. The exchange he had with his parents there and those that knew him and of him was certainly something that was hard to bear for him. But those thoughts and memories aside, Franz smiled soon enough when Ayodele answered his question about what had given her to be joyous and he definitely understood. "That it is, seems to be a luxury here." Franz said thoughtfully, and unless a person was attuned to the Force and had that knack to clear the mist whenever he or she deemed fit, then this planet never really offered sunlight, and those that lived here were fortunate to have that if and when they desired it. "Okay."
Smiling when Ayodele did take a quick swim, he could not help but to just look at her for a long while in silence. Something told him that he did good by inviting her here especially when she seemed to be liking the natural heat and warmth that the day seemed to be offering thanks to that machine that cleared the mist in this area. He continued to watch her with a warm smile especially when she went to the garden to smell those plants that were there, some had relaxing properties, that much he knew of and the others were either used for cooking or just overall aesthetic display. Closing his eyes briefly when she flicked some droplets in his direction, Franz laughed softly before looking at her playfully. "Maybe later, when you do return, I'd like to bask in this simple moment of being in your company once more." Franz said sincerely as he nonetheless removed his shirt since it was getting warm for him and he just lied down on the lounge seat with a knowing smile.

Franz requesting some help that was laughable so to speak, and Andros being Andros, why would he help the man when he was very certain if and when their situation were reverse, Franz would have done the same thing anyways. Shrugging with an unimpressed expression as he looked at Franz with his usual glare, Andros went to take a seat on a lounge seat where he could observe everyone really but before doing so he had noticed that Elika did smile happily to him and Lana had been on the verge to call him Sir. No bother, Andros seemed to be brooding on his seat anyways and he also seemed to be looking particularly in Ayodele's direction to try and figure out who she was. He could very well do that but he'd rather leave his affinity untouched right now and focus in the now.
The now was...
Ares Solaris apparently had been the topic and the siblings herewith present were wondering if he had arrived. "Try and contact him to see." Andros dismissively said in a way, after all he was certain that if and when Ryan and/ or Crystal contacted Ares, there was a certainty that perhaps he would reply now, unlike before.
Lying down on his seat, without even removing his shirt because just like his brother he had multiple scars on his body some from conflicts and most of those from torture, Andros closed his eyes briefly wondering what the heck was in store for him the following day. He supposed that already he should probably start typing out his resignation letter from office once all of that poodoo was over. One thing was certain, not only everyone would have to be vigilant but the real perp found out through that mouth runner how Atlantis had quickly managed to track down that silhouette that was nowhere near his very own height.

"Me too, Elikapeka tells Delaana when she voices her hope that Ares impending arrival will afford Crystal and Ryan some sense of relief after nit having heard from their sibling for so long, confirming for Delaana that, They hadn't heard from him in quite a while until last night. They were even thinking about setting out for Honoghr to start tracking him down, Elika adds with a slight frown, smiling right after as she says with a chuckle, At least Ares got in touch before that. It would be pretty funny if he was here and they were there. Well, she crinkles her nose, not funny ha ha funny, but funny oops funny. Sighing after Delaana does her best to find a defense for Franz's omission of the fact it is his birthday, Elika looks at her skeptically and pouts, Hey, you're supposed to be on my side, and grins as she gently nudges Delaana in the ribs and says, So be offended, no more defending him. Laughing and giving Delaana's hand a squeeze, Elika holds her drink, still only half finished, up in her other hand when Lily asks if she needs another drink, saying, I'm good for now beautiful. Tilting her head to the side, lips pursed in thought, Elika suggests, Maybe we should hold off on the grilling until everyone is here? I can go and grab the munchie trays to tide anyone that's nibbly over though," Elika offers.
Leaning over to give Delaana a tender kiss on the temple, Elika strokes her cheek and tells her, "You just sit and relax, or mingle, or swim, or tan, or whatever makes you happy. I'll be right back. Standing up, Elika heads for the kitchen, pausing only to give Andros a quick, subtle, squeeze on the shoulder as she passes him. Taking the trays of finger foods from the fridge, Elika carries them back out to set them up around the covered area of bar so that they won't be in the sun, and then, as she uncovers the trays and, her OCD kicking in, makes a few last minute rearrangements to make the arrangements more decorative as she announces to everyone, There's veggies and cheese and crackers and other goodies over by the bar if any one is feeling peckish."

Ryan knew that it had been a long shot for his sister or his girlfriend to pull some strings about that. Perhaps it was just him being lazy right now, yeah actually it was Ryan just being lazy right now but with Andros' push, to actually ask Ares, Ryan had finally decided to get out of the pool, dry himself up with the towel he had there before heading back inside of the lakehouse to retrieve his datapad. To his fortune, Ares had already contacted him but also Crystal.
"Si, dead on sorella," Ryan waved his datapad to indicate that there had been a message from their brother dearest and he looked at the content of the message. Ryan was indeed banking on the fact that perhaps Alisha, in the proviso that they were still together, would be coming as well. It definitely looked like Alisha and Ares were still together, but there was also Isis, Ice - Alisha's cousin. Ryan knew of Ice, spoken once or twice but that way it. It surprised him that she was here too... "It looks like he is with Alisha and Ice." Ryan omitted the whole Princess of Honoghr yaddaa yadda and just added on. "Ice is Alisha's cousin."
Ryan just left it at that before looking at his sister and everyone else dubiously, well mainly Lily and Elika since this was still their home and they were just invited here anyways. "Is it okay for you three if I tell them to head here?" Ryan asked thoughtfully. Something told him that his girlfriend would be looking at him jadedly as if he had asked the most ridiculous and stupidest question ever because it was Ares and of course he should be getting here. But Ryan being Ryan, he preferred to be sure anyways. So when he did get the confirmation, he just typed out the message in response to Ares'.
Sending the message to his brother, Ryan chuckled before shaking his head thoughtfully, he knew that Ares came here because he had something serious to share, but Ryan figured that keeping the tone light right now would be best.

"See, it wasn't that hard in admitting you wanted her here, Winking at Pookie with a playful smile on the corner of my lips, I turn to look at Ayodele knowingly before I carry on with what I am doing at the bar, which is to fill my glass with more drinks because I do like this kind of cocktail, it's light, Compared to how some barkeep who would already charge it with alcohol this time of the day ... And then I notice that box of alcohol and blumfruits that Pookie has purchased and I look at him with a meaningful expression. Pookie, you have kept the receipt, right. Because if you do it à la Lover Boy, I am going to bee slap you." Something tells me that he is indeed like Atlantis, and if he is, I am definitely going to slap him because not only it is his birthday and clearly even on a regular basis, I am not about to let someone pay for something I have requested.
Looking over at Gorgeous who tells me that she is fine on the drinks front, I give her a thumbs up when she tells me that perhaps it would be best to wait for the others to arrive."Got it, Taking a sip of my drink before noticing that baby girl is making her way towards the bar, I smile when I see her holding the bottle that has been given by Ayodele. It is a nice gesture, although she really shouldn't have, but that aside, I furrow my eyebrows and look at baby girl, also gorgeous is just back in time. I wait for a moment when she announces that the munchies are here, and I lower my voice so that Pookie doesn't overhear. Praying the powers that be that he doesn't overhear! Idea, you still know how to make a birthday cake, right? Obviously I am addressing myself to baby girl, she is the resident chef, but I have never been aware of her making desserts really. We try and do that, and we tell Lover Boy to grab some candles on his way back?" It's an idea, whether Pookie likes it or not, since I am very sure that no one herewith present has been aware that it is his day, we must do with what we can, right? Right ...
And hot stuff is back from wherever but it looks like indeed Ares is planetside from what I can grasp from his words. I furrow my eyebrows jadedly when he asks for permission about inviting not only his brother but also from what I remember, his brother's girlfriend and the latter's cousin. "Solaris, just tell him to get his ass here with the people he is with and then after you and your sister can kick his ass for not letting you know that he is alright? It's a suggestion, one that has a certain truth in there but then again, I am sure that none of the siblings are going to pick a fight, especially not on this day when it is a no drama day. Reverting to a more serious and affectionate expression, I smile looking at baby girl knowingly. Still going to be a no drama day, I promise, Since I do mean that, I pick up one of the finger foods that gorgeous has brought over here and look at her with a grin. Thanks for making this, gorgeous."

Delaana's eyebrows slightly shot up when she learned that both siblings here were considering in going to Honoghr to track Ares down, but thankfully he did contact them last night before that even happened. She understood what Elika meant about the funny part, it caused her to briefly chuckle at that before pursing her lips briefly. "It would definitely have been an oops funny." She concurred at that and definitely saw the irony in it. One less problem for her boss it looked like, but now Lana seemed to be the one in trouble, and she looked at Elika with an amused expression. "Offended for my case might be pushing it a little bit," After all she and Franz weren't close at all. Perhaps guilty would work but then again... "Although, Atlantis, who I am assuming was here since the break of dawn, hasn't said anything about this day being his cousin's birthday?" There was Ryan also, so why did they not let the women know it was Franz's birthday? "But okay, my Shakal, will me pretending to be offended work for you?" Lana asked playfully and teasingly before she closed her eyes a moment when Elika kissed her temple.
"Hmmm..." Smiling warmly when Lana felt Elika caressing her cheek, Lana opened her eyes again to look at the architect with a noticeable smile. "Maybe I'll just watch you." Winking playfully since mingling right now was a little out of the question as she didn't want to interrupt Franz and Ayodele over there who seemed to be talking with one another. Instead, she got up and laid her towel on the lounge seat to tan, at least for a moment. It really had been a while since she hadn't done something not tiring for her, and she was enjoying every moments of it, the company was good, great even. That part made her smile warmly before she slightly sat up when she saw that Elika had come back but she was by the bar and announced that there was some munchies there for anyone who wanted some.
Standing up and heading towards the bar overhearing about getting Ares' ass kicked by the siblings, so that answered the question, Ares was indeed here with people who Ryan described, she had no clue who those people were but still, she was glad for them that he was here safe and sound. Not really wanting to pry, since it didn't concern her, Lana just moved next to Elika and said teasingly. "Something about goodies, I am sure they taste as sweet as the one who prepared those." Lana picked one of the veggies and nibbled on it with a playfully expression.

Crystal picked her head up from gazing at the bottle brought by Ayodele, she still hadn't figured out what type of wine it was but that didn't matter since Lily had an idea. A birthday cake was the idea. "Only the basics," Crystal told her childhood friend, desserts were a different area entirely, cooking main courses, that could be improvised but desserts, those were calculated. "Or we could ask Atlantis to pick one up in the city." It was also a good alternative, it wasn't that she didn't want to make a cake, it was just the fact that desserts weren't her area at all. "Maybe Lana and/ or Ayodele know?" It was a suggestion, one that made her cringe internally because they were guests and she wasn't about to ask any of them to help out and make a cake.
Before she could go on with her train of thoughts, she looked over Elika dubiously wondering if she knew how to make a cake, but the question also was; did they have the ingredients to make a cake? It needed frosting too, also it had to be copious with the people that were going to be here sooner or later. She couldn't quite get on the count because Ryan had come back and announced that Ares was actually here with his girlfriend and his girlfriend's cousin. "Do you really have to ask that question, Ryan?" Rolling her eyes semi-exasperatedly, Crystal shook her head with a faint chuckle and her chuckle turned into a laughter when hearing Lily's words. "What your girlfriend said, but from me less blunt words." After all, Crystal felt that way but then again it wasn't as if she was going to factually kick Ares' ass, that wasn't her, she'd rather use words and also whatever he wanted to speak about with her and Ryan, she'd hold that off until the next day.
Today she just wanted to have fun, mingle and get to know people she was meeting for the first time at least, which was why she turned to look where Franz and Ayodele were and pursed her lips thoughtfully and held one finger up to request a moment from her friends by the bar. Walking over to where the couple was, she looked at Franz for a moment and then Ayodele. "Pookie, do you mind if I steal Ayodele for a brief moment, I need to ask her something. Unfortunately for you, guys don't equate in this equation." She playfully said before rolling her eyes playfully and looked at Ayodele with a warm smile and somewhat seriously. "Unless you are busy, then don't worry about it." Crystal sincerely said with a warm smile, after all she was somewhat cutting in between the two of them, and she was already feeling a little guilty about that.

Smiling her customary amused smile when Franz, exhibiting that he does in fact possess the ability to occasionally keep his foot out of his mouth, explains why it is he prefers to put off swimming for a moment, Ayodele says, "Flatterer, in a bemused tone, and then, as she closes her eyes after laying her head down to bask in the sun as they enjoy one another's company, playfully warns, I will hold you to that swimming with me, do not think for a moment that your pretty words will keep me from dragging you bodily to the pool and throwing you in if needs be."
Shading her dark brown eyes from the sun with an arm when Crystal comes over to ask if Franz would mind it if she were to steal Ayodele away for a moment, Ayodele shakes her head with another amused smile when asked if she is busy, saying to Crystal in a playfully bemused tone, "I am free at the moment, so I am all yours. Looking over towards Franz, Ayodele says, I will back soon, pausing before adding with a lyrical laugh, Pookie. Standing up after taking a hairband from her bag, Ayodele follows Crystal while reaching up to arrange her hair in a loose, casual bun, asking with a smile, You had something you wished to ask me?"

"I do have some of those rare moments." Franz playfully replied to Ayodele's compliment. He really did like her amused tone, and her overall laugh, it was comforting and it also made him happy and it made him smile, maybe like a ninny, but it was still a smile that said that he was really having a great time. "I will go swim later with you, I promise, and I also assure you that there is no need for you to drag me there nor will you have to throw me in the pool, although when I think about it, I really would love to experience that," It was all in fun, but really she'd throw him into the pool, but compared to her he weighed more and that just made him wonder about something...
But even before he could delve into that, Crystal made her way to where he and Ayodele were and he looked at her placing one of his hand over his forehead to shield himself from the glaring sun and he listened attentively to what she was saying. Since for a moment now he really wasn't focused on the going ons around the pool for he was more paying attention to Ayodele, but currently Crystal apparently needed Ayodele for a moment. That got Franz to furrow his eyebrows wondering what that was all about but he knew that both way, it wasn’t his choice and it was solely Ayodele's, who also referred to him as Pookie.
Franz laughed at that before shaking his head with an amused grin before inclining his head to acknowledge everything, like also he had acknowledged what Lily had asked him earlier. But really it wasn't necessary for the refund, it was with pleasure that he paid for those, so really no need for refund and so what if he did it à la Lover Boy?
Though the prospect of being bee slapped by the lawyer, which sounded like something he had to fear, for fun and giggles of course, Franz thought. "Um, the receipt, funny thing see..." Franz started to say, he was pretty sure that he was going to get a glare sooner rather than later from the lawyer. "It's in the box with the alcohol!" He finally admitted quickly.
Now that was said and done, Franz closed his eyes again and went back to his original thought he had about Ayodele throwing him into the pool, could she be? Letting himself connect to the Force and be aware of the presence of the people in this lakehouse, his eyes popped wide open soon enough when he just realized something that he had completely missed yesterday because he really wasn't paying attention. Either way, nothing changed for him and he completely cut his connection to the Force while he looked at Crystal and Ayodele who had walked off to a side to talk.

Scrunching her face up in a theatrically exaggerated portrait of debating the issue at hand with incredible seriousness, Elikapeka tilts her head to one side and then to the other before finally telling Delaana playfully, "If you pretend to be offended oh so very convincingly, my Ceesi, I will possibly maybe seriously consider forgiving you," and then giggles as she leans forward to give her a quick kiss on the lips. Looking over a shoulder with a kittenish smile when Delaana tells her that she may take the opportunity to enjoy watching Elika as Elika had enjoyed watching her earlier, Elika puts an extra sway in her step as she makes her way inside the house.
As she is arranging the trays of munchies, Elika smiles while listening to the amusing back and forth between Lily and Crystal regarding what they might do to celebrate Franz's birthday, and then the equally amusing back and forth between Lily and Ryan concerning the impending arrival of Ares, before leaning over with a skeptical frown as she suggests quietly to Lily that, "Maybe we should just leave it be? Franz might not have mentioned his birthday for a reason, you know? Not everyone likes celebrating them, and maybe he has a reason for not making a big deal out of it? Shrugging, leaving her counter argument against the idea of making or purchasing a cake for Franz at that, Elika smiles happily when Delaana arrives beside her, and puts an arm around Delaana's waist to pull her a bit closer as she reaches out with her free hand for another veggie and dunks it in the dip in the center of the tray so that she can hold it up and offer to feed it to Delaana while saying, Here, you have to try the dip too, my Ceesi."

"Right, it requires precision, that whole pastry making isn't about improvisation unlike ... I am only quoting baby girl there, it is something she has told me a while ago, can't really recall if it was Alderaan or Coruscant, but whatever, any alternative is a good one whether Ayodele and/ or Delaana know how to make one, or even if Atlantis can purchase one. Clearly I have noticed Gorgeous' skeptical frown and have heard her suggestion, the whole pro and con type of thing. In return I am also looking at her with a skeptical frown before leaning over in her direction to quietly tell her. Gorgeous, remember the first day I have showed up on this planet, and to my dismay I find out that no one knew it was baby girl's birthday? I am very sure that she remembers that, it was the first time she and I have met, and the two of us just got to talking starting making a plan and what have you. Are you also going to tell me that back then Crystal not mentioning it was her birthday it was for a reason? Granted she and Pookie might have different reasons, but he like she are surrounded by people that they care about and we also care about them in return. So for this just one singular day, it should be all about him because the man deserves it, wouldn't you agree?" Obviously I care about the man, and I also know that he deeply cares about everyone herewith present. Also if I did not care at all, I wouldn't make a big deal out of this.
Besides, I seem to recall Pookie being too serious the day I have seen him again, and we have all come to that unanimous agreement that Lover Boy has purposely picked him to stand in for the Lieutenant because he might need it. Looking over baby girl when she heads off towards Ayodele and Franz, I end up looking at Pookie in particular and I even narrow my eyes as a warning because he makes it sound like he has done a Lover Boy too, until he finally lets the cat out of the bag. "So ... You do listen, good man. Winking at him playfully before glancing at both the Hapan Bombshell and Gorgeous, I cannot help but to smile at the two of them. They look so cute together. You two are just adorable." I do mean that and I even smile at the pair, I even leave it at that because quite honestly there is nothing more to add, it isn't necessary to add anything. Sipping my cocktail and looking at baby girl but also Ayodele, I smile at the woman who is very unfamiliar to me, but from what I have observed, she seems to be having fun thus far, and enjoying the simple things like soaking in the pool and basking in the sun.

Moving in closer willingly when Elika pulled her in her direction, Delaana moved her hand to Elika's, and smiled teasingly. "Don't mind if I do, my Shakal," Lana opened her mouth to the finger food Elika was feeding her and took a bite of it purposely looking into her eyes and munching on it slowly as if in deep thought of consideration. "Hmmm, not bad," Pecking Elika's lips gently and softly before pulling her head back, Lana smiled once more before adding on. "Even better, thank you." Giving Elika a playful wink before squeezing the architect's hand gently, Lana turned to look around before her gaze landed on Lily who complimented both she and Elika.
Lana could see and hear the sincerity laced in Lily's words which caused her to smile warmly before looking at Elika with a knowing smile. Truth be told, Lana didn't know what to say then and there so she only settled for a grateful smile to Lily's words. Picking up another vegetable, Lana dipped it in the center and mimicked what Elika had just done and presented it to the architect. "You should try it yourself and see how good it does taste, my Shakal." Lana said teasingly before smiling once more and waiting expectantly.

Crystal smiled gratefully to Ayodele, although if she wasn't free, so to speak, Crystal wouldn't have held it against her at all. SHe was already feeling a little guilty for pulling Ayodele away from Franz, especially when she noticed clear as day that the two of them seemed to be getting along just great. Franz made Ayodele laughed, which was a good thing and at the same time, Crystal wanted to get to know Ayodele since she also cared about Franz and whatever he had gone through in the past, the disappointment he had felt or whatever, deep inside, Crystal felt that Franz also deserved to be happy. What better way to do something good for him on this very day when she had called for a no drama day, plus it was also his birthday.
Leading Ayodele a little far away from Franz, not that it would have changed a thing since from what she knew about him the man when calling on the Force, he had that ability to overhear farther than a regular person anyways. But Crystal nodded to Ayodele's rhetorical question before smiling once more, although before she could ask her question she put a finger up to request for a moment. "Pookie, don't try and cheat," Crystal warned him playfully as she overheard what her childhood friend had said. "Therefore do not give a reason for Lily to traumatize you if you try and listen because I'll know." Crystal left it at that and rolled her eyes playfully as she chuckled briefly.
It was then and there that her attention returned to Ayodele and Crystal smiled warmly before asking the question she had been wanting to ask but she lowered her tone. "I was wondering if you actually knew how to make a cake?" Crystal asked dubiously before glancing at Franz with a warm expression. He was her half brother's cousin, at least there was a biological link there, the Vyridians also considered him as their cousin despite the lack of that said biological link. Thus it made Franz family, and she appreciated the man, he always had the words to make a person laugh anyways no matter the circumstances. "See, none of us were aware that it was his birthday, barred the guys I am sure, so we didn't get any cake for him, but instead of ordering it to be delivered here, I have figured that doing something personal for the man would be best? If you don't, we can always get it brought in, it's not a problem." She knew that Atlantis was in the city, so she could ask that favor from him by sending him a message. She didn't want to bother Ares who had just arrived and perhaps he didn't know the city that well anyways. So it was either them, here in the lakehouse, making the cake or her asking Atlantis to get one.

Smiling as Lily, admirably demonstrating her ability to argue any point that might arise, explains why Elikapeka's reasoning where the merits of honoring Franz's implicit wishes where celebrating or not celebrating his birthday are concerned is flawed, Elika waits until Lily has finished her rebuttal to raise her hands as though surrendering and conceding, "You win counselor," since she doesn't see any reason to debate the issue further; Elika really can't see Franz getting too aggravated with them for celebrating even if he might have reasons for not having made it known that today is his birthday. Smiling with obvious delight when Lily refers to her and Delaana as adorable, Elika looks over at Delaana and tilts her head to the side while raising her eyebrows with a smile to convey her silent agreement with Lily's assessment.
Smiling a greeting when Ayodele and Crystal join them at the bar and start to whisper to one another, Elika returns her attention to Delaana when offered a veggie slice, smiling kittenishly as she slowly leans in to take the offered veggie. Covering her mouth as she chews, Elika nods after finished, "You're right, my Ceesi, it is pretty tasty. Crinkling her nose, Elika says in a stage whisper, I'd love to take the credit, but it came out of a packet, and then shrugs with a laugh. Looking over towards Crystal and Ayodele as she selects a fruit slice from another tray, Elika keeps her arm around Delaana's waist as she leans forward after Crystal has finished whispering and smiles as she asks in a whisper containing a faint note of concern, What are you two whispering about? Is everything alright?"

Following Crystal as she is led aside, Ayodele looks over her shoulder with a smile more amused than usual when Franz claims that he would enjoy being thrown into the pool, and shakes her head with a light laugh before looking away.
"Lucky me, Ayodele says to Lily, her customary bemused smile in place, when Lily comments on the confirmation of Franz's listening abilities, and turns towards Elika and Delaana after Lily comments on their adorableness, nodding in agreement with the assessment. Her attention returning to Crystal when she is asked the question she had been taken aside to be asked, Ayodele shakes her head with an amused smile and a shrug of a shoulder once the question has been asked, I have never baked a cake. The nutritional and dietary needs of her species are vastly different from those of humans, and Ayodele has never led a life that would involve entertaining humans to an extent that would require her to learn to cook or bake for them. Staying well out of the discussion concerning whether or not Franz might appreciate the celebration of a day he did not, for whatever reasons he might have, make his friends aware of, Ayodele answers Elika's question with an amused smile, Cake. Specifically whether or not anyone here might be able to make one. We have determined so far that neither Crystal nor I have the ability, so unless you or someone else present does, we will have to arrange for one to be delivered."

Ryan did have that amused expression on his features when not only his girlfriend but also his sister reiterated what Lily had said about kicking Ares' ass. Brother love, Ryan supposed, which was why he did not even warn Ares about the potential ass kicking he might get once he reached the lakehouse. Instead of doing the whole warning Ares, Ryan went to pick up the sound system controller and searched around until he found the song he wanted. He even started to dance to the beat, because he did love that song and he made his way towards the bar overhearing what was being discussed.
Apparently cake for Franz. Right.
It wasn't that Franz wasn't big in celebrating his birthday, it was more the fact that more often than not it had never been celebrated unless he was with his cousins because all of them were there to remind him of that fact, and often times it would turn into a drinking session at a bar, at least when they were at the same location. "Or alternative," Ryan chimed in looking at everyone and no one in particular really, since he did know of someone who was good at making pastries and he already was on his way here anyways.
"Ask Doctor Love." Ryan knew that his sister would recognize that nickname and to who it belonged to anyways but he did look at everyone smirking with that amused expression on his features again. "Ares, our brother." He gestured to himself and Crystal, mostly for Ayodele's benefit since the other women already knew who Ares was anyways and what was the relationship and everything. "He knows how to bake, and yes I am quite aware what I am asking and saying, sorella, Ares hauling himself here from Honoghr perhaps the man was exhausted but whatever, Ryan was calling this a little payback for not keeping in touch after a long time.
"In lieu of kicking his ass, make him bake or something." Ryan chuckled at the thought, perhaps he could be perceived as being mean but no matter, it was just the kind of relationship he did have with his fraternal twin anyways. They always played tricks to one another, or more often Ares was on the receiving end of his tricks, and sometimes even Raan was standing by his side, but that was back then, although not a whole lot did change.
