*Umgul was a mist-covered planet in the Mid Rim. The planet's climate was humid and cool, while dense fog and deep hanging clouds were almost omnipresent.*

Memories...
That pretty much grasped it.
Andros Vyridian, the Vice Governor of Umgul, was standing on an old battle. One that he fought against Rhea with Mace by his side. He had shut that door to the pain he had felt and the terror that could have happened but none of those horrors that played in his mind happened at all. Lighting up the cig, that was hanging between his lips, Andros took a momentary glance at the zippo in his right hand. The same zippo that he used to burn that darksider a long time ago.
Exhaling some of the smoke and glancing at the building right before him, not that he could see much of it since it was still inaccessible to people, Andros pocketed his lighter and cleared the mist. What he saw then and there was fine architecture and to think that it was only the exterior. Elikapeka Hekekia created a masterpiece again... It was time to appoint her Master Architect, she deserved that title.
One man could do that, he was very well within his rights to do it and after all, it was his idea to begin with. Andros' gaze slowly darkened though as he thought about that man. Ah well whatever, no point in lingering onto that anyways. What was done couldn't be undone and things had been said, along with some redundant attitude that Andros had noticed... It was just time to move on with life and quite honestly, he had no explanations to give and certainly he wasn't going to seek for other explanations.
He was done, at least for now and while he smoked his cigarette, he kept looking at the Academy's architecture before he released the mist so that it regained its original place without him tampering with it. Andros took a deep breath and started to walk off to head back to his day to day function, the brooding one, that was a given but also his position of Vice Governor of the planet. He was soon done with his cig but he did not just flick off the butt, instead, he kept it in mind to dispose it to the first trash can he could find after he made sure that it was no longer lit...
Andros Vyridian was known for several things, and maybe one of those things was a quality that he despised trashing a public place with dirt. Talk about clean and orderly maniac, yep that was him indeed...
"Time to get to the office and do some work." Andros muttered under his breath, knowing he would have to meet with Lily and talk about some of the legislations concerning this planet, that were, in his very own opinion, very obsolete...

Elikapeka's spectacles, along with her datapad, are somewhere at the bottom of Narmle Bog on Naboo's second moon, Rori. Elika herself nearly wound up at the bottom of the swamp, and almost certainly would have had it not been for her lieutenant; never having understood why Raan had chosen to assign her a bodyguard, Elika now considers herself fortunate that he had even though, according to her lieutenant, the assassination attempt appeared to have less to do with Elika herself and more to do with the project she had been hired to complete in Restuss, a project someone apparently would prefer not be undertaken. At the moment, Elika is not sure that she will continue with the design project she had been hired to complete, but she does know that if she does, she will be doing so from Umgul.
When her lieutenant drops her off at the lakehouse she shares with Crystal and Lily, Elika tries, not for the first time, to thank Lucy for ensuring she did not wind up at the bottom of the bog on Rori, meeting with as little success as she has in the past since, before she can finish a sentence, her lieutenant cuts her off as she has before with a customarily terse, 'Just doing my job, Ma'am,' and then prevents any further conversation with an expression that makes it abundantly clear she has no desire to continue the aborted conversation. Taking the hint, Elika settles for a farewell and, after her lieutenant shoos her towards the door, lifts her portfolio and carry-on bag onto her shoulder and heads inside.
The trip to Rori was, naturally, cut short by the encounter with the Nagai would-be assassin, and Elika, in a numbed state of shock, had not thought to comm or holonet message ahead to say she was on her way home and so, not wanting to wake Crystal or Lily given the late hour of Elika and her lieutenant's unexpectedly early return, she is as quiet as possible as she enters the lakehouse and makes her way to her room. The past few months have consisted, for Elika, of a constant series of trips back and forth from Umgul as, not long after construction on the Mist Order's academy began, Elika had been hired for several off-world projects and even though she had been back on Umgul more than once in that time, Elika feels like it has been ages since she has been home and more than a little out of touch with her friends here on Umgul even though she and they had kept in touch by comms or holonet messages.
Entering her room, Elika lets her portfolio slide from her shoulder to the floor and sits on the edge of her bed, reaching up to adjust her spectacles and, when not finding them there, taking a moment to remember they are at the bottom of a bog on a distant moon and, remembering, lifting a hand to clutch the figurine of Shiraya she wears on a thin chain around her neck as she says a prayer of thanks to the ancient moon goddess of Naboo for watching over her. Too tired, an exhaustion that is as much physical as it is emotional, to undress or unpack, Elika settles for kicking her shoes off and climbing beneath the sheets of her bed, hoping that the depth of her fatigue means she will not dream or, if she does, that she does not remember what she dreams when she wakes.

The Lakehouse
It was morning... Crystal was already in the kitchen preparing some breakfast and some coffee to start off her day. Well her day had already begun before the break of dawn with some workout and thank the powers that be, or just the Force, she could say that now, right? Since she was attuned to the Force, but it still felt wrong to her, that last night she and Lily had called an early night in. Crystal was exhausted, Lily was exhausted, both of them, or mainly in this case Lily, had been busting their asses off work wise. Crystal never settled for less and Lily was the same. Those things aside, it was the start of a new day and from time to time Crystal was still checking her datapad to see if she had received any messages from Elika mainly. It was peculiar not hearing from her friend especially considering that due to Elika's job she had constantly been offworld for jobs she had been hired to do. It also felt like that she, Elika, and Lily hadn't just sat down and just hanged out together talking about whatever gossips they could talk about...
Pouring some coffee onto her mug, Crystal wondered how long it would have been before Lily wakes up but as she focused on her childhood friend, that other familiar signature was overlapping Lily's. Elika? But wasn't she supposed to come back at a later date? It was surprising considering she or Lily had not received any messages that she would be back sooner than expected.
Crystal snapped out of her thoughts when she saw Lily entering the kitchen already dressed in her corporate suit and Crystal quickly put her index finger over her mouth to tell her friend to not make any loud noises, for all she knew Elika might have been still sleeping, traveling around the galaxy for work was still after all exhausting.
= Ljiljana Jankovic = Entering the kitchen after having showered and prepared herself for work, Lily looked at CKayne with a dubious expression when she pretty much told her to shut up. Silently greeting her friend and grabbing the coffee that was being handed to her, Lily kept on looking at Crystal with a perplexed expression. "What is it?" She asked speaking in a murmur.
"Elika is back, did you receive any messages that she would be back now?" Crystal asked dubiously as after all the three of them have been living together now for a few months especially when Lily was recruited as the new Attorney General by Andros himself. Seeing Lily's head shake as a response to her question, Crystal furrowed her eyebrows again and then shrugged her shoulders knowing that she would get an explanation from Elika sooner or later, but either way she was still happy that her friend was back and maybe they could have lunch together or just whatever, at least spend some time together and catch up with one another...
For now, she glanced at her chrono and knew that it was still early and she could still have some coffee and breakfast. One that she would be sharing with Lily for the time being but still she put a third plate on the kitchen island just in case Elika woke up and got out of her room any time soon.

The lakehouse
It hadn't been long since he had sent that message to Atlantis. It also hadn't been long since he received a reply from his brother. With that decided, Andros made his way straight to the lakehouse with in mind to see Elika if she was alright. Even though he really wasn't one to show a lot of expressions, he really cared about Elika. He got to know about her a little more that one evening a few months back at the Misty Lodge during Crystal's birthday, and also there were other things that made him overly protective of her. He wouldn't say it out loud but she was one of the few that he would die for if necessary. She was family too in a sense, after all.
The moment he arrived at the lakehouse, his very own brother seemed to be pulling over as well. He glanced at Atlantis and inclined his head before looking at the door. He knew he had to be mindful of his emotions now since Crystal was attuned to the Force, albeit untrained but he never knew, Crystal was still a Solaris and her father was still powerful. The Force was strong in the noble houses of Coruscant, after it was each and every one of the descendant's choice to either pursue that route or not.
"By the way, Atlantis..." Andros began as he punched his brother's shoulder, not forcefully and not weakly just with faint strength. "You have a problem with my legal disclaimer, you can sue me." He added on before shaking his head and walking over towards the entrance of the lakehouse. Without waiting any further, Andros knocked on the door since quite honestly he didn't want to ring the bell, for all he knew Elika might still be sleeping and after all, Crystal would know that someone was at the door, right now it was him and Atlantis still had his signature perpetually hidden due to the stygium crystal that was in one of his lightsaber.
While he waited for the door to be opened and while he had his arms crossed, Andros looked around and took a deep breath to control his emotions and dull out his thoughts. He had no idea to what extent ran Crystal's powers, he had never actually inquired about that in too deep with his brother because after all that was Crystal's personal life. When it came to other things, work or whatever, sure Andros would ask and in detail, it was the thing that he had been doing for a few months when it concerned Elika after all.

The Lakehouse
When Atlantis arrived at his intended destination, he saw that his brother had arrived just before him. Getting out of his speeder Atlantis focused on the people that were within the lakehouse and concentrated fully, now that he was closer, he could sense the three of them very distinctly and it appeared that Elika was fine, at least? But he wouldn't know until he saw there. That being said, if something had happened, then perhaps Andros would have known by now if he had asked Lucy, right? Oh no right they were not that close, even though Andros had told Atlantis that he had received a message from Lucy a while ago, the two of them didn't actually have the occasion to sit down just yet and have another talk face to face.
The moment he received a punch from his brother, Atlantis' head snapped in Andros' direction and he rolled his eyes playfully and exasperatedly before shaking his head. "Right, sue you..." Atlantis reiterated before chuckling, sue him? That was the worse thing he would do knowing that perhaps Andros would get as an attorney the Mist Government's very own. "As if, I was just pointing out subtly, that the content of your message only made one fourth of the entire message. But it's cool, you sound all corporate and business, even with me." Atlantis lifted his hands in surrender knowing that he might get another retort from Andros anyways, so it was best to drop it then and there.
"Before we get there guns blazing though, did you even check with Lucy and/ or Horsea on the reasons why her job had been cut short there?" Atlantis asked dubiously before adding on thoughtfully. "For all we know, it might have been a bad memory to be so close to her planet, ya know?" He suggested but even that he didn't believe at all. Elika, just like Crystal and Lily, was the type to bury herself into her work, she was driven and she actually preferred it when she was occupied with a project. Or maybe he was just reading too much into things...
Either way, it was true that he was very curious as to know the reasons why she had returned this hastily back to Umgul when he knew that she had jumped on the occasion to do her job. Back to back projects on different planets... It seemed like a long time since he had actually seen Elika. He always saw Crystal because she was his girlfriend but also Lily because she lived here now as well and became a permanent resident the moment Andros recruited her to be the new Attorney General for the Government.
The moment Andros knocked on the door, Atlantis was facing the entrance and waited to be admitted inside, of course he had to make sure that he wouldn't give anything away, as in being worried or anything but at time passed, well Crystal already read him like a book and no matter what the expression he was wearing, Crystal always knew when something was on his mind. The Force had nothing to do with that but at the same time maybe it did, it was just the fact that he and Crystal had a deeper connection and she always knew when he was nearby despite his signature being hidden continuously...

The Lakehouse
Even before the knock on the door, Crystal could already feel that Andros was nearby considering that he was the sole person she knew that had that kind of signature, and in the deepest part of her, she knew that Atlantis must have been with his brother. It was indescribable but she just knew that he was nearby even though she couldn't feel his signature. Looking at Lily momentarily and smiling slightly, that same smile that was a dead giveaway to her friend who knew what that meant, Crystal took a deep breath and placed her mug down still wondering when Elika was going to emerge from her room, maybe she should check up on her and bring her some breakfast in bed, or just anything.
But it was too late, there was that knock at the front door and Crystal just put her index finger up to Lily to tell her that she had it. Leaving the kitchen but halting briefly in front of Elika's room, Crystal took a deep breath and wondered why the brothers were here. Did they know something? One way to find out she guessed. Getting to the front door and opening it, she looked at the twins and greeted them with a warm smile. "Good morning." She said as she stepped aside to let them in and just shut the door behind them. Despite her smile on the corner of her lips, her brows soon furrowed as she looked at the both of them dubiously.
"You two obviously know that Elika is back, but is there something wrong?" Crystal could not help but to ask, though she quickly added on. "She is still in her room, she must have arrived last night very late..." It was the sole explanation she had, she wasn't even aware that Elika was back until Crystal was already dressed and on the verge of having breakfast. She walked closer to Atlantis and pecked his cheek before leading the two of them towards the kitchen where Lily currently was.
After their exchanged greetings, she offered some coffee to the Vice Governor and the Grandmaster if they wanted any, she just left the mug by the coffee maker knowing that the both of them actually preferred to do things by themselves and didn't actually like to be considered as guests even though they actually were...
At this very moment though, Crystal was torn in between checking up on Elika or just let her be, as she really had no idea what had caused Elika to come back so soon. At the same time though, she was really happy that her friend was back. Felt like months really since they really had a talk face to face. Still that one very important question lingered on her mind, is Elika alright...?

The Lakehouse
Even though I am very much awake and very much aware that CKayne is asking me to just shut up, at first it makes me wonder the reasons why, I mean c'mon it isn't as if I am loud every morning ... Or maybe I am, I don't know, but honestly it's still too early why would I yell a good morning like that? Oh crap! Then I remember that CKayne actually can read my thoughts from time to time and that I am pretty much screwed, I think ...
I just decide to shut up and keep on rambling internally, it's tough to shut a person's mind and I am no exception. Of course the whole mind reading thing, it did not help when I was recruited as the Attorney General for this government and I find out that apparently even the political advisor to the Senator can do the same thing but in a more advanced fashion. Or whatever Force thing that is about ... I seriously don't know, I seriously am not well versed on those things.
Right now, all I want is my coffee, which thankfully is handed to me and all I want is to actually get to work but it looks like we have a visitor or visitors ... Must be lover boy, he always comes around at this hour to see if we need to be dropped off ... Surprise surprise, it's not just lover boy but even his brother is here, and technically he is my boss too. "Hi ... I tell them both as I wave my hand. Coffee?" I offer as I raise my cup but from the looks of it CKayne is already preparing that.
Okay, now that I am far more awake than I was a few moments ago, I think back on the things baby girl asked me a few moments ago, and the fact that the wonder twins are here too, it can only mean one thing, they are here to check up on Elika first and foremost, right? Right ... "Guys ... I finally call out the attention of all of them. If you are so worried about Elika, why don't you just go and check up on her? It was a legit suggestion, instead of questioning the whats and whys, I am very sure that Elika has a very good explanation on why she is back earlier than anticipated. But there they are the three of them just standing here in the kitchen and asking one another if we heard something. Which is a big fat no, because I wasn't even aware that Elika is currently here. They're the ones attuned to the Force, not me ... I am sure that she is fine, so why don't you take her some coffee, or I can do it and then we can settle all of those questions ... I make a circular motion at the three of them as I add on That are haunting your minds?"

The Lakehouse
Elikapeka's fears about being subjected to nightmares prove to be unfounded; in order to be plagued by nightmares one is required to sleep, and, her exhaustion notwithstanding, Elika finds that sleep is denied to her owing to the fact that her delayed emotional reaction to having been the target of an assassination attempt only remained delayed until she endeavored to sleep, at which point everything that she had been too numbed to feel or contemplate came bubbling up and rendered sleep an impossibility. During the course of the sleepless night Elika, mistakenly believing that it would allay her fears and allow her to sleep, had decided to, first thing in the morning, notify her boss that she was resigning from the design project on Rori; a decision that she found cowardly but was unable to refrain from making due to the undeniable fact that remaining on the project, even were she to undertake it from Umgul, would undoubtedly mean that she would still be a target of the Nagai assassin. Even having made the decision, Elika found herself unable to sleep; the knowledge that the decision might not become known to the assassin until a later date, coupled with her memory of his cold, dead, doll-like dark eyes and omnipresent soulless, empty grin, causing innumerable scenarios of being hunted even now to play over and over in her mind and making rest unattainable.
When the first light of morning finally begins to filter through the windows of her room, Elika feels only a faint trace of relief, primarily engendered by the fact that she can finally do something other than lay on her bed in an only marginally lucid, restless state laying somewhere between delirium and paranoia induced panic. After spending eight minutes looking for her spectacles, Elika remembers that they are at the bottom of a bog on Rori and, unable to recall where she keeps her spare pair, switches gears and contacts her boss via comlink to make him aware of her decision to withdraw from the project. That Evadne has already decided that the firm will be stepping away from the Restuss project is a relief, though it does little to assuage Elika's sense of cowardice, and he all but orders Elika to take a week off, which is the last thing Elika wants or, as she can work at home as easily at the office, intends to do. While speaking with Evadne, Elika, checking her datapad, sees that her lieutenant has messaged her to make Elika aware of the fact she had assigned someone from her squad to watch over the lakehouse during the night and will be taking over the sentry duty in the morning; the message mildly amusing since, not only did her lieutenant spell out explicit instructions that Elika keep her apprised of any plans to leave the lakehouse, had Elika read it sometime during the long, sleepless evening, it may have given her enough peace of mind to actually sleep.
The scent of caf and the sound of voices from the kitchen make Elika aware of the facts that not only is she not the only one awake, but that she is in dire need of caf. As she does not have either the energy or desire to change out her slept in clothes, Elika does not even entertain the idea of changing and, taking a deep breath as she debates what, if anything, to share about what she has been through, stands up to walk for the door. Her perpetual fear and discomfort with being at the center of attention for any reason make Elika's decision to keep what has happened to herself a predictable one and, doing what she can to appear simply tired rather than tired and stressed out, she walks into the kitchen intent on giving the appearance of all being normal; the fact that her anxiety in most social situations is well known to those that know her allowing her to believe that any residual signs of her ordeal evident in her behavior will be written off to Elika being Elika.
It is a welcome surprise to find that not only are Crystal and Lily up, but that Atlantis and Andros are there as well and, less importantly but no less happily, that there is enough caf for her to have a mug, and Elika, entering the kitchen, says sleepily but with as much cheerfullness as she can summon, "Good morning, before, while giving Atlantis a quick hug, saying, Fancy meeting you here, and, she gives Andros a hug, you too. Hey hon', says Elika with a smile, rubbing Crystal's back as she continues on towards the caf maker, Lil', Elika greets Lily as she passes her, patting her shoulder before finding a mug and pouring herself some caf. So, Elika, referring to the fact that Andros and Atlantis are present, asks as, after preparing her caf, she drops a spoon into the sink and turns towards everyone with an amused and inquisitive smile, what's the occasion? Is everything alright?"

Did he even check with Horsea and/or Lucy? What kind of question was that right about now when his worry here and now was Elika, that was all there was and it was the main reason why he had dashed out of his office to get here. "No and no." Andros finally replied after multiple considerations. Seriously, why would he do that when Atlantis perfectly knew how he worked. He always went to find out the stories straight from the source.
That was good enough for him...
The moment Crystal finally opened the door, Andros looked at her and went inside of her home after being invited him. From the looks and particularly sounds of it, Crystal didn't know much either. That was the start of a good news, he guessed. When Crystal asked though if there was something wrong, Andros just looked at his brother's girlfriend and shook his head. "No, just wondering how Elika is, and we haven't really seen her in a while..." It was the truth in a way and Crystal could put that under the category of wanting to see and hear from Elika first hand instead of getting messages.
"But good morning to you as well Crystal." Andros smirked briefly before going ahead to the kitchen to let those two love birds say hello to one another without a public eye although that didn't really linger as he knew for a fact that Atlantis and Crystal weren't really heavy on the PDA and that was a nice consideration for the people around. Nodding once the moment he got into the kitchen to greet Lily, Andros helped himself with some coffee, grateful that no one poured it for him or tended on him because that was just unnecessary.
He took a sip of the coffee and enjoyed the warm liquid run through his being until he heard Lily say something, wait none of them checked up on Elika if she was alright? So they really didn't know why she was back so soon... He was about to make another cup of caf to take that to Elika but before he could actually do all of that, he noticed her coming into the kitchen and Andros could not help but to look at her for a moment to gauge her emotions and state.
Nothing seemed wrong at all, or maybe she was just hiding that fact but she really looked like a sleepy head and well she wasn't dressed for work? Unless she had some time off, but then again... Wasn't she a workoholic like the rest of her housemates? He smiled more prominently though the moment she hugged him and he returned that hug wholeheartedly. Not a lot of people could get away with that, actually she was the sole person up to this very day that could hug him that way without a warning or anything and he was perfectly fine with that. Still though he could not help but to keep looking at her figure in silence for a moment until she asked that question if everything was alright?
Not really the type to beat around the bush, let alone the type to lie to people he really cared about unless it was a case of force majeur, Andros pursed his lips momentarily and put his cup down on the kitchen island. "No occasion at all, but you are back, so that is a good one, isn't it? So welcome back." Andros furrowed his eyebrows and looked at her with a darkened gaze, only because he was confused. "We all thought that you would have been gone for a little while and that you wouldn't be back this soon, did something happen back there?" Andros asked straight to the point, and no he really wasn't subtle and he always had a straight line of approach when it came to the people in this room and some others. But right now his focus was Elika.
"And before you ask, no I haven't seen your Lieutenant yet." Andros quickly added on, it pretty much said that he would find out sooner or later and he would go see Lyn to find out what happened and what caused them to come back so soon.

The Lakehouse
"Hey you..." Atlantis greeted Crystal with a warm smile. It was always good to see her whatever the occasion may be. The two of them weren't the kind of people that needed to be attached to one another 24/7 but whenever he saw her, it was always a good start for the day. Like he had guessed, Crystal had no idea either on the reasons why Elika was back this early. Often times, or really all the time, Crystal would give him some news about Elika without him even asking. She must have known that he was always interested in finding out about how people were, especially those that he hadn't spoken much with recently. Sure, sometimes he spent the night here but it wasn't all the time considering that Lily lived here now. It was nice that they were all housemates and it was even great that Andros had managed to convince the lawyer to stay here and take up on the position the Vice Governor was offering her.
It was curious right now, because he had nothing much to say and since when did Andros become the one who spoke the most? Usually his identical twin would let Atlantis do all the talking but now it wasn't the case. The Vice Governor thing really did make Andros change gradually, albeit slowly, or maybe... Well no, Andros was far more comfortable in talking with people he knew the most so it wasn't surprising either at the same time?
Nevertheless, Atlantis pointed at Andros to confirm his statement and just followed Crystal to the kitchen before greeting Lily with a warm smile. "Hey Lily." Atlantis said before waving his hand to deny the coffee offer. "Thanks but no thanks, already had my dose before coming here." He explained, which was true, he was in the city earlier and already he had drunk two cups. Evidently, Lily already knew the reasons why he and Andros were here. Usually it was just him and yes, maybe it was surprising for most that Andros would make a house call this early.
Even with Lily's assurances about Elika, the whole situation was still unsettling for him and he actually preferred to hear from Elika about the whats and whys, and as if summoned by his thoughts or maybe because they were a bit too loud, Elika walked into the kitchen. He looked at her with a smile and noticed that she wasn't wearing her glasses but she was still in her pajamas, improbable that she would be wearing lenses right then and there, right? Before he could question that he received a quick hug from her and he returned it without reluctance at all. "Hey Elika, morning to you." Atlantis said as he just glanced at Crystal momentarily, knowing that his girlfriend could sense emotions now as well considering that she was attuned to the Force, to him Elika seemed just exhausted, maybe the voyage really had just worn her off.
While he mulled over several questions, Andros definitely fired first and he looked at his brother quite placidly, he really went straight to the point then and there, and Atlantis held off his exasperation but also at the same time his amusement when Andros blankly stated that he had not seen Lucy just yet, meaning that he would ask her directly if he didn't get the answer from Elika at all. Knowing though that Elika hated the attention, Atlantis placed his hand on Andros' shoulder and looked at him. "Let's just let her settle in, alright? Let her have some coffee and maybe when she is ready to share, she'll let us know?" Atlantis suggested and compromised, after all it was the sole thing they could do right about now. But he could tell that Andros wasn't buying everything and still had questions. "I mean, you must be that tired..." He began to say as he looked at Elika with a warm a friendly smile. "Considering you haven't found your glasses... Want me to look for them or something?" Atlantis offered genuinely.
Quite honestly as he was standing here in this kitchen, he was really happy to see Elika, it had been a while and it was always good to see people even if it was for a few minutes...

From the looks of it, none of them, meaning Atlantis and Andros, seem to get a move on and see for themselves how Elika is fairing. Quite honestly, I am sure that she is fine, otherwise if something had happened, wouldn't Andros and/ or Atlantis be the first to know? The two of them are technically two of the higher ups on this planet, on different aspect but, I am sure that Elika's bodyguard would have said something, right? Right ...
Yawning discreetly and ordering my thought before sipping my coffee, I wait for a moment and then two, but just I am about to grab a mug to take to Elika because no one is moving, she makes her way here. She looks good, seems good, despite the fact that she looks like she hasn't slept much or at all. I tend to have that face in the morning after I pull an all nighter due to work or due to partying ... But in Elika's case, PJs and not wearing her glasses, I am just going to put that in the "tired and sleepless long night". Perfect ... "Hey gorgeous, I smile at Elika when she passes me and I just look at her for a moment and cannot help but to ask. Either you didn't sleep much or traveling and working too much took a toll on you. I am playing the guessing game and considering that I have barely seen her ever since I actually moved here and started to work here, because the Vice Governor of this dearest planet needed several amendments on the legislation, a little humor in the morning is a good route to take, no? Besides, I am known for yanking people apparently. Sweetie, you really need a break." I tell her nonchalantly. It's true, at least I refrained from saying she looks like crap right now and has that toss and turn look on her face.
There goes the questions from Andros himself, I have on several occasions spoken with him and despite the whole brooding look or just the often pissed off look he has on his features, I actually think that he is a pretty solid guy. He says things when he has to say things and further than that, he doesn't beat around the bush. I like that about him, and despite the first approach on how he can and would choke people to death if he wanted to, he actually listens to suggestions.
Last thing I heard was the farmers are really idolizing him for the work he was doing for this planet, and I actually do not blame them and perfectly understand the reasons given the fact that CKayne has given me all the details from A to Z ever since they all got here on this planet. There is the ever so serving lover boy ... I smile inwardly, he is so ready to help but right now is not really the time when there is a suspended silence soon after Andros clearly stated that he has not seen Lieutenant Lyn yet ... When Elika is facing us, I just remain silent because quite honestly, with the questions that Andros has asked, my curiosity is starting to get a hold of me although maybe this is private and confidential so I look at all of them mainly Elika before saying. "I can step outside if you want to talk with them, hon' ..."

The Lakehouse
Elikapeka tilts her head to the side with a smile that is caught somewhere between amused and confused when Andros explains that nothing special has occasioned his and Atlantis' visit; Atlantis visiting makes sense, but Andros coming along seems out of the ordinary given his tendency to prefer to be alone and so the visit had and still has, to Elika, a note of something more substantive than a simple social call. The question about whether or not something had happened to explain why she is back earlier than anticipated, coupled with the mention his plan to speak with her lieutenant alters Elika's smile to a mildly dubious and worried one that, fortunately for Elika, is hidden behind her coffee mug as she had taken a drink just as Andros had posed the question that preceded the statement; Elika's worry stemming from the fact that she knows mentioning what happened would only worry everyone and, in her mind, needlessly since the danger has passed and, now that she and her firm have withdrawn from the project, no longer anything to be concerned about.
Electing to play it cool, primarily due to the fact that all anyone would have to do in order to know that something happened is see her lieutenant, who did not escape the encounter on Restuss unscathed, Elika, after taking a second sip of her caf to stall and collect herself, shakes her head when, after Atlantis offers to look for her spectacles, Lily offers to step out of the kitchen, saying in a light and airy voice complete with a laugh meant to sound convincing which comes out more hesitant, "No, no, you're fine Lil'. Clearing her throat, Elika tells Atlantis, I know where my glasses are, but thank you. Nodding and, after fortifying herself with another sip of caf, Elika blurts in a rushed stream of low pitched words strung together, I'm back early because there was an . . . incident on Rori. I'm fine though. My lieutenant is too. Fine. More or less. Just some bruises and, Elika lifts her mug to take a sip, speaking into it, defensive wounds on her arms. Taking a drink of her caf, Elika wraps up quickly, So my firm has withdrawn from the project and everything is fine now. Just fine, yes. Nodding again, Elika, trying to move on, turns to refill her caf and asks cheerfully, So, who needs more caf?"

Atlantis smiled and nodded his head to acknowledge the fact that he didn't need to find Elika's spectacles and he would just stay right here in the kitchen and not even pursue further the questioning. After all he did say whenever she was ready to share, then he would listen, but then again from the looks of it, Andros just wanted his questions answered and once his brother's mind was set onto something, it was often hard to sway him. This was going to be hard indeed because in this case, it concerned Elika...
Focusing his attention back onto Elika when she spoke quickly, her words were strung together when he found out what actually happened on Rori... An incident, she said and Lyn had defensive wounds but also bruises. His eyebrows furrowed when he finally found out what had happened on her last job. Even though it was a thing in the past and even though Elika had pulled away from that project, Atlantis' jaw locked and he started to grit his teeth. He was thankful that Lucy was with Elika back there and he was thankful that both of them were fine and perhaps Lucy would say it was part of her job, actually he was banking on the fact that she would say that if he even thought about thanking her or whatever.
Even though everything was fine now and knowing how things such as these could set off his brother, Atlantis quickly went to stand behind his brother and placed his hands on his shoulders before looking at Crystal. "Millaflowers outside?" Atlantis asked quickly, knowing and remembering that Crystal had received some seeds from her father on her birthday and he also knew that Crystal had started some gardening by the pool out there and the recess area. Without really waiting for a confirmation, Atlantis pushed his brother out of the kitchen to lead him to the terrace.
"Thanks but no thanks, Elika... We'll be right outside, just for a moment." Atlantis called out over his shoulder and really led his brother outside towards the garden, the pool and whatever so that those flowers which proved to actually have some relaxing properties could do their trick on his brother. If there was one thing that he knew about his brother, one thing that everyone knew up to now, when something actually happened to a person Andros cared about, he would really get angry and that was never a good sign at all especially with people around.
"Breathe, Andros... It's over now, she is unharmed and safe now..." Atlantis was telling his brother to breathe but in fact, Atlantis was also wondering why Elika would be attacked right there when she was just doing a job she was hired to do. Knowing himself and his brother, they would investigate that and make sure that whoever attacked the architect wouldn't set foot on this planet. Perhaps they, Lucy and Elika, got a clear look on their attacker's face and a portrait could be rendered and placed on the black list of the Intelligence Department... He didn't know but seriously, why would someone attack them?!

The Lakehouse
There is really something wrong, gosh something actually happened back wherever Elika was ... Despite her saying that I can stay, I actually look at her with a dubiously to ask her if she is sure about that. I mean sure, we are friends but she and CKayne are actually closer to one another than she and I are ... So it is a justified question. My eyes widen at Elika's revelation about what really happened back on Rori and I just look on silently at Crystal before actually looking at the wonder twins.
Gosh, they were actually right to be worried and they both actually had a reason why to coming here, I mean sure, Atlantis often, near to always, comes here but Andros doing a house call, that is surprising but at the same time very understandable. I have come to find out that the man is actually attuned to the Force, can be abrasive but also very, very and very protective of people he actually cares about. One of the great things about the Vice Governor on this planet really cared about people and particularly those he is close to ... Well ... that is one hell of a bomb dropped this early in the morning.
More caf? Oh yep, I am going to need another cup to go through this day ...
"Please, I mean yes to more caf ... I tell her when I recover from the shock and actually find my voice. One thing is for sure, I am so glad that Elika does have a bodyguard and both of them are more or less unharmed. Can't really say for her Lieutenant since I haven't seen her. I pick up my cup and place it by the coffee maker and just when I am about to ask something else to Elika, if she actually knows why she has been attacked, I notice Atlantis dragging his brother out towards the garden. Boss man is about to go on a rage fit?" I ask making a face, and that is one of those things that I actually am not fearing on witnessing but the fact that he is attuned to the Force, well that can make one hell of a damage ...
"I don't get it, you got ambushed there, but why ..? I really don't get it, seriously why would someone just attack an innocent person while they are doing a job that they are hired to do. Shaking my head due to the fact that maybe Elika no longer wants to linger on that event, I just purse my lips and look at her with an encouraging smile before zippering my lips to tell her that I am dropping the whole matter until she is actually ready to talk about it. If you want one of us to stay here with you for the day, don't hesitate to ask, even the both of us." I offer pointing at myself and CKayne. I know baby girl would offer the same thing anyways. She is just the type.

Crystal had been silent, too silent perhaps, even after she had greeted Elika, there was just something about Andros' demeanor that said to her, he was onto something. Something had happened, she understood that he believed that deep inside of him, how else could they explain Elika's arrival? It was without a warning, the day before she was there and then today she were... With the questions asked by Andros himself and from the looks of it, Elika's hesitant tone perhaps, there was just something that wasn't right.
How dead on was Andros when Elika soon revealed what had happened on Rori... She had been attacked, she and Lucy were attacked by someone, just like that? Crystal just couldn't believe it and she really didn't know what to say, she was just dumbfounded but in a very bad way. Oh god, with all of that revelation, she was pretty sure that Andros was going to blow a fuse considering the things she knew about him, considering how Atlantis had told her how his brother had reacted the last time Andros found out that Elika had been harmed and how furious he had been...
When Atlantis asked about the millaflowers, she just looked at him with a confused expression but before she could ask further, she finally understood where he was going with that. Of course, it should have clicked immediately but her mind was still wrapped around the fact that Elika had been attacked and thankfully she was fine and so was Lucy...
While the twins walked out of the kitchen and Elika asked if any of them wanted a refill, Crystal turned to look at her friend and couldn't help herself but to walk over Elika and just wrap her arms around her before pulling away quickly. "You should have awaken me last night, you know I wouldn't have minded at all..." Crystal said looking at her friend with a worried expression but there was also relief because Elika was in fact unharmed and standing right here with Crystal and Lily.
"Let me guess, sweetie, you didn't sleep at all last night, right?" Crystal asked dubiously before glancing from Elika to Lily who suggested for them to stay if Elika desired it. "What Lily said, need some company for the day or did you prefer to stop thinking about that and stop at the whole 'welcome back home'?" She added on softly knowing that considering that Elika just tried to change the subject, a cue to wanting to move on with her life, then it was best to not remind her too much about that memory, therefore best thing to do was to stop talking about it right then and there.
"Nah, no more coffee for me, but the three of us should do something relaxing and soon. Something to alleviate your stress?" Crystal suggested genuinely.

Just as suspected, when Elika started to field out his questions on actually what happened back on her last job, Andros' blood started to boil and he started to grit his teeth as even his fists clenched from the anger and frustration he felt then and there. That one was a goddam strike two and he had enough that people, whoever may they be would just attack someone so innocent. This was going to take a little while to calm him down, this was serious and he was going to have this kriff mess up investigated only because he definitely had the right to do so and also make sure that whoever attacked Elika and Lucy, that person would never set his/her feet on Umgul.
Before he could say anything and actually he had nothing further to say actually, Elika wanted to move on from that event and he had anger written all over his features. A vein must have been popping out by his temple and quite seriously, he was glad that his brother was dragging him towards the garden ergo out of the kitchen.
When he was out in the garden, he had no idea why Atlantis would take him here to be honest since he really didn't hear his brother's words earlier up until now. "Breathe? You are asking me to breathe?!" Andros asked with disdain. Of course he was breathing why would he be using breath control here when he was in the damn open air. Okay Elika was unharmed now, but that was today, what about tomorrow or the day after? So yes he was breathing but this was very personal for Andros.
"What makes you so sure that the person that attacked her wouldn't come here? We don't know like we don't know what caused whoever that rodder or nemoidian is!" Andros was barking that was a fact and it was all directed at his brother, poor Atlantis but then again he knew that Atlantis wouldn't take offense to this, although Andros knew that Atlantis always had enough of his plate but it was easier to get angry at his own brother, without really being angry with him.
As he breathed though, there was just something about the garden's atmosphere that calmed him down, that settled him. He glanced around him and noticed that they were surrounded by millaflowers... Well that pretty much answered the question, he was slowly and gradually at peace. He started to think more coherently and much more rationally as he inhaled the scent coming from those flowers. "I really don't want anything to happen to anyone and especially her..." Andros said thoughtfully before he shook his head, she didn't deserve that at all and maybe he would have to have an official talk with Raan to accelerate that process or just have another talk with Elika about his plans for the raceways... That should keep her long enough on this planet right? Where he could actually keep an eye on her but also Lyn by extension...
He should probably visit the Lieutenant sooner or later unless she already reported that event to the Intelligence department or even Raan...

Tugging compulsively at her right sleeve without realizing that she is doing so, Elika manages a smile as Atlantis, declining the offer of more caf, guides an obviously boiling Andros from the kitchen, feeling guilty for having revealed what happened even though she knows, with Andros stating his intention of speaking to her lieutenant, keeping it to herself would have only delayed the inevitable. Looking over towards Lily when she says she will have more caf, Elika nods with a forced laugh when Lily notes that Andros is more likely than not having a 'rage fit', agreeing, "It looks that way. Refilling Lily's mug, Elika answers her question about why she and her lieutenant were ambushed as best she can, We think I wasn't the target . . . not really I mean. Whoever was behind the attempt was trying to keep the project from going forward for some reason and I was just . . . the most convenient way to make that happen. Handing the mug to Lily, Elika sighs, rubbing her eyes and then crossing her arms over her chest as she says, Since the project has been shelved, I doubt I'm in any danger now, so, she forces a smile, there isn't any need for either of you to stay here. Making herself laugh somewhat convincingly, Elika explains, I'll probably collapse from exhaustion and sleep for the rest of the day anyway. Looking over towards Crystal, Elika confirms her friend's assumption, I didn't get much sleep last night, hon'. Not any really."
Picking up her own mug, Elika sips it, shaking her head, "No, you guys should just, you know, go on like nothing is wrong because, well, nothing is wrong now. Smiling more genuinely, Elika says, Later, though, doing something relaxing sounds like just what the doc . . . a small frown briefly crosses Elika's features as she remembers how her recent increased time away for her job has made pursuing things with a certain doctor difficult at best, fading to be replaced by a ghost of her earlier smile, sounds like just what I need. We'll have to go out and . . . do something or just stay in with some wine. Lots of wine, Elika concludes with a laugh, reassuring her friends, I'm fine, really. I'll see you guys when you get back from work. If I'm awake by then."

The Lakehouse — The Gardens
What Atlantis had asked Andros do might have sounded very dumb, but he had a reason to ask Andros to breathe. They were in the gardens and Virgil Solaris had given some seeds to his daughter on her birthday and one of those plant seeds would definitely relax and make his brother calm down. He would take Andros' rage, that was a no brainer and not a problem to him. It was how Andros would deal with his anger from time to time. Atlantis actually preferred to be the target of his brother's anger than feeling Andros burst out with the Force.
Atlantis sighed and shook his head, while Andros was known to externalize quickly his emotions, Atlantis was more introvert with those. Despite his slack appearance to what happened to Lucy and Elika back on Rori, deep inside to tell the truth, he was very annoyed with that. He couldn't say, wouldn't say he was certain that no harm would happen to Elika here but at least there were enough of them to keep an eye on Elika if needed be. Added to that with Crystal being attuned to the Force now and living with Elika, they would immediately know, right? Right...
"I know, Andros..." Atlantis said softly, that again was a no brainer, no one wanted anything to happen to anyone living in this house and Andros was extra protective when it came to Elika. It was very understandable. "How about this, don't you have a devious project to let her undertake?" Atlantis suggested with an arch eyebrow, if that would keep Elika grounded here on Umgul, then so be it and it was a very good reason no? Work and all, she'd embrace that no? Besides he had something else to tell Elika and suggest to her.
He really hoped that she would accept his request. It was her project as much as it was for him and his Order but she was the precursor of the entire thing and it was thanks to her if the Mist Order had an Academy now. He took a deep breath and looked at Andros noticing that he had indeed calmed down and he smirked more visibly before placing his hand on his brother's shoulder.
"Baby steps and we'll cross the bridge and get there? Never take the easy way out, yeah?" Atlantis said with a knowing smile. They weren't like that quite honestly, the easy way often resulted in something more complex, at least from his own experience. "So why don't we get back in there and see if anyone of them need anything, and I can take your two government affiliates to work?" Atlantis suggested as he turned around, he waited for his brother to fall into line, to return back inside and more precisely to the kitchen. Compared to Crystal, Lily and Andros, Atlantis' "work" was flexible for the time being since there was no emergency for the time being, he could have a little chat with Elika, hopefully, if she wasn't that exhausted but then again this could wait another day if necessary.

The Lakehouse
That really makes me shiver on the spot, actually two things currently make me shiver on the spot, the first thing is Andros actually going on a rage fit and the second thing because of that job Elika has been hired to do, she was attacked. The hell is wrong with this galaxy? Oh right, we are surrounded by psychopaths and people trying to kill other people because they don't adhere to the same way of thinking. There really is a problem with this galaxy. It's not just one world but one freaking goddamn galaxy with multiple planets and multiple sentient beings. Seriously, can't we have world peace or something? Oh no right, that is for pageant Miss Universe kinda thing ... "Next time you should have a clause on your contract or something ... Only offering some suggestions here, besides it always should be a bilateral agreement, right? Right ... I look at Elika and CKayne, I know that the latter would have dealt with that when she started working for the Mist Government, I know I did the same thing and asked for some conditions but this isn't about me but about Elika so back on point. Just saying gorgeous, whomever hired you to do whatever you were asked to do should have informed you that perhaps there would be a glitch. They should have informed you beforehand." I have really entered lawyer mode this early in the morning? I can't believe it ... I need a life ...
Considering the Elika doesn't need some company for the day and actually just needs to rest herself, I smile and take the cup of mine she has refilled with a grateful smile. Taking a sip of this coffee, that supposedly is going to wake me up, but actually my brain started to function when Elika told us what happened in Rori, but one more caf or less, who cares? I am addicted to caf, anyone has a problem with that, they can sue me. Simple ... Another inner monologue, how sweet but that comes to a halt when Elika mentions a certain doc ... I know very well which one she is referring to and considering her somewhat fading smile, I nudge her gently with a knowing expression. "One welcome home event ordered, and don't you worry about anything, okay?" I wink at her and smile one more time, yep work always gets in the way but those are choices we make so if they can't accept that, not really worth the time, right?
Finishing my coffee and placing the cup in the sink, I notice that the wonder twins are back from outdoors. Good, actually I needed to speak with the Vice Governor this morning but in his office, not here. Those talks would be very uninteresting for others but it would interest Andros considering he is the one that has tasked me to go over every legislation of this planet. "Lover boy, or Boss, mind if I hitch a ride with either of you? That is if you are returning to the city, otherwise I can definitely cab it." For all I know, Atlantis and/ or Andros are going to remain here for a little while longer to speak further with Elika. In any case, I look at CKayne knowing that she has some pending papers to deal with as well back at her office.
