Marcus placed his glass down as Graemon spoke of the so far failed attempts to establish contact with the Bothans. Working the map, he highlighted Bothawui, as well as a handful of planets nearby that had been marked as warlord held territory and neutrals. Marking a series of planets, Marcus brought them to the forefront of the display. Running a small simulation, he turned back to Graemon as the Baron spoke of assembling his best diplomats and heading there in person. The simulation finished running then. Allowing Marcus to motion to the map Bothawui may certainly be isolated from our territories currently, but if we can secure Rhommamool, Osarian, Algara II, and Dressel it will provide us an arm, so to speak, to outstretch to the Bothan's and close the gap between our territory and theirs. A handful of warlords exist along this route, the rest we can negotiate with and offer them a place within the Coalition. That should help you and your diplomats with convincing the Bothans, correct?

Ostrenis sipped. This was good for a change.
"I don't believe that a people who have bled so profusely for the Rebellion and the Republic will be swayed over by the Empire, that cannot be"
He said, with a frown.
"Those territories... Rhommamool is a mining planet, that could be valuable as a supplier of raw ore for naval construction. Dressel is close to Bothawui... Indeed, indeed. Controlling the systems in or adjacent to the Corellian run is a priority and it seems your expansion targets are aligned in that regard, Prime Minister"
The red eyes stare at the map.
"Yes, yes... you have my forces and my crews at your disposal. Certainly. As soon as we replenish our numbers we can strike at a location of your choice"

Graemon looks at the Admiral Ostrenis.
And yet the Imperial fleets are to be reckoned with, Admiral. Past allegiances can easily be forgotten when Imperial warships suddenly appear over one's planet or make a show of force within a sector. I do not believe they would align with the Empire. Considering the presence of the vital shipyard, it would ensure a well-guarded independence.
The Baron never once worried that the Bothans would side with the Empire. Yet, their people were known for fierce reputations, even going as far as striking out independently of other nations. They had been a reckoned force, themselves, during the Second Galactic Civil War.
Still, given the recent activities in the Outer Rim, they still be wary of dismantling their isolated neutrality. We will need to offer them great assurances and show our ability in being able to defend them when need be.
Gorgano recalls the targets suggested by Starmane.
Perhaps, before approaching them, we should expand and ensure that we within arm's reach. Closer than the Empire is. Not as a show of force, but a means to show that we are nearby and that we can be of immediate assistance when need be.

Marcus gave a nod in agreement with Graemon, as the man spoke quite accurately of the threat the Imperials posed. He was a resourceful man, and that was the reason he had achieved the positions he had as their lead ambassador, as well as head of C-Sec Agreed, no one is suggesting the Bothan's would side with the Imperials or any other group out that way... At least not willingly. And the First Order has proved time and again that it can force even those unwilling to join them into submission... Taking one last sip of his whiskey, he set the glass aside and set the expansion plan into a document which he forwarded to one of his military aides. Notes would be attached that would allow the woman to draft a proposal to present to the Coalition's high command and the senators of the Coalition's member states. He had a great deal of power as Prime Minister of the Coalition, but even Marcus was wary of acting without ensuring the Senate was properly informed Consider it done then. I'll have the rest of the Coalition's Senate brought up to speed. In the meantime... I trust you to provide any resources you can spare in advanced recon units to these worlds. If we can find local groups to support, it will be all the better. For now, Admiral Ostrenis, I recommend you and your people get the rest they need. I'll have Dr Jameroo informed of the wounded and refugee's you have aboard your vessels. From there, we can begin refilling your fleet and conducting repairs to have everyone up and running and ready to go. Any further questions gentlemen?

"I'm not denying the power of the Imperial fleet... they're pretty persuasive. Diplomacy in a pretty harsh package"
Granted the admiral to the baron.
"I will have some proper rest. My crew would appreciate if some accomodations are prepared for them in the planet's surface, maybe even some barracks. They're weary from staying aboard and being on orbit for such a prolongued time would make them no good. I have a substantial amount of Mon Calamari and Quarren, so I will need somewhere with a mass of water nearby...."
He said, scratching his chin again.
"Anyway, no need to bother you with those details, I will hammer them with your aides, Prime Minister. When you have instructions for me, let me know, I'm more than willing than serve the Coallition, in whatever cappacity you deem necessary. And Dr Jameroo is more than welcome on my ships. I have no questions, just my wholehearted thank you, Prime Minister Starmane"

Marcus gave a bow of his head in response to Renzo, making sure to send a note to another one of his aides. Making them the Admiral's point of contact with Marcus' office for the time being until the change over and necessary procedures were completed to integrate Renzo's forces into the Coalition Of course Admiral, Travis Horn will be available as your point of contact with my office. He'll be able to answer any questions you have... Welcome to the Corellian Coalition! For now, you are dismissed, tend to your crew and ships... Marcus gave a quick salute, before motioning for Admiral Ostrenis to take his leave

Upon final completion of the build-out validation checks and quality control inspections for the FAF, with all test cases passed and all certifications accredited by the shipyards' independent inspectors, the chief engineer's report was forwarded to the CDF, alongside the flight worthiness certificate for the first-in-class vessel. The report detailed every inch of the vessel's as-build specifications, and all engineering changes that had been made to the original blueprints provided by the Raganella Family Trust. Vance Waterpool was also notified, as trustee and chief legal counsel for the Trust, as were the top executives of the Corellian Engineering Corporation, and local and Coalition holonet news media. Once the CDF dispatched a provisional commander and bridge crew, the vessel would be launched for air- and space-worthiness trials and training, then released for active duty in the CDF navy. One of the lower floors of the Coronet Capitol Tower served at the planet-side command center of the Navy of the Corellian Defense Forces. When CDF Coronet Command was notified of the Fast Attack Frigate's completion, an activation order was immediately sent from the command center to the bridge crew who had been assigned to conduct the official field trials of the first model of the new vessel. This veteran crew of senior officers and engineers had been on standby at the nearby naval barracks for nearly three weeks, reviewing technical manuals and conducting simulator exercises. Within the hour, the commander, his immediate staff, and several engineers had loaded their bags into several transit speeders and were on their way to the Santhe Shipyards. Likewise, from a different part of the Capitol complex, additional low-level CDF crewmen and techs were on their way to join them, to fill out the minimum crew needed to take the FAF on her first space flight.

Reyn brought his shuttle low in over Coronet City, following the skylanes and moving at regulation speed through the traffic areas. Piloting the shuttle himself, he sent a recognition signal to Coronet Control, requesting landing vector for the Capitol Tower. Once he had that, he gave the shuttle over to the autopilot and went aft to prepare for the landing.
The shuttle came down easily, and Reyn had the ramp down and was moving down it as the shuttle divested itself of exhaust gases and coolant vapour, rocking down on its landing struts. Clad in crimson armour and bodysuit, Reyn's face was hidden behind a red T-visor, but he was visibly unarmed, with empty sheathes on his back and empty holsters at his belt. Coming here armed would serve no purpose but to alarm the Corellians, after all.

The Neimoidian senator arrived only a few minutes later, while the local security officers weren't too much surprised about the appearence of the Mandalorian's appearence. They lead him diligently towards the conference room, which the Senator had arranged on her way down towards the surface, where she eventually appeared herself at some point, her bodyguards waiting outside the room. The doors closed and even the distant sounds from the busy corridors outside went suddenly silent within the clean white room, that was despite the comfortable chairs and a stylish desk in matching grey-white colours quite sparse. If somebody would have hidden cameras or other spyware, the simple layout of the room and the lack of furniture would only provide few hiding spots that were easy to check for both the Senator and her guest. With a large window showing the Corellian skyline behind them, Linuy looked up to the man before her, dressed in red robes with several ornaments embroidded into them. "Greetings, ambassador of Clan Australis", she said respectful towards him, "I am Senator Linuy Findos, elected senator-in-exile for the Neimoidian systems and member of the Corellian Coalition, former member and supporter of the Galactic Alliance upon Mon Calamari. I hope you had a pleasant journey without too many interferences." Moving towards the desk, she offered him a glass of water, taking one for herself as well.

Reyn followed the escorts and the bodyguards to the designated area for the meeting, a conference room in the Capitol Tower. Things seemed relatively prosperous, and he was professionally pleased to see the security arrangements were appropriate. The young mandalorian took a long look out of the windows, looking over Coronet City, when the doors opened and his host arrived. Reyn, showing respect, removed his helmet and came to attention. There was no salute, he was in reserve, and this wasn't his direct superior, but he wished to show respect for the other's rank.
A pleasure to meet you, Senator. Captain Reyn Australis, 6th Mandalorian Battalion. Reserves.
As a reservist he could act on his own, and had thus far avoided being recalled to active duty by his father, Kaine. He was surprised to learn the Neimodian Senator was in exile, that spoke to some sort of hostile military presence in the Neimodia System. Reyn filed the intelligence away for later in his mind, and brought his focus back to the task at hand. He clipped his helmet to his belt and relaxed from attention, standing easy.
I can make no complaints about the hospitality that I have been shown thus far.
The young man smiled, taking the offered glass of water and enjoying a sip. The niceties of diplomacy were to be observed. He was new to this endeavour, though he had studied as well as he could so that he could know what might be expected. As a military officer of a foreign power, of low rank, no less, he had to allow the host and senior to lead the discussion.

She nodded regarding the compliments, also noticing the trust that he was offering when taking off his helmet. Linuy wasn't necessarily an expert when it came to Mandalorians, but most of them that claimed be born from Mandalorian families wore usually no helmet in open public, wheras others claimed that true Mandalorians never took off their helmet. Apperently it was a belief thing, similiar to how the Duros and the Neimoidians are just by the looks the same and yet so different by having adapted to other traditions. Not necessarily to the best ones in the case of her own people, given that she still remembered the records, that listed up the attrocities of the Separatist movement during the Clone Wars, including the Trade Federation's very own crimes within that conflict as one of the Confederacy's main leading factions. Since then it was mainly the Empire that had maintained their control over the Neimoidian purse worlds and hardly were they able to recover, even after all those years. Thus it wasn't surprising that the tales of the Mandalorians themselves fascinated her. Under the Galactic Empire they briefly suffered a similiar fate, yet broke the shackles. Some day she hoped that her people and many other worlds would be able to do the same in order to free themselves from the First Order. An autocracy couldn't grant others freedom as long as the mind of a single one was keeping the galaxy in check, no matter his intentions.
"I'm glad to hear that", she then responded polite, sitting in her chair quite comfortable as she waved away most of her concerns regarding her own people, "Unfortunately times are currently dire and most of our ministers have other issues to dispute, given the recent border conflicts between us and the First Order. I came the long way from Osarian to oversee the current resupplies of water transports, as the dry season has hit Osa-Prime once again. Troops for water... one could argue, that we do prepare for an invasion and to some degree it is true. Yet I fear that we won't be the invaders." She sighed, changing the topic quickly. "Either way, you probably didn't came to hear about our problems, I assume, Reyn Australis? Or what message does the proud Clan Australis wish to deliver?" So far there was no need to hide anything regarding the Corellian's own situation, as even by now everyone, who was just observing the ship routes would notice the current ship movements towards Fondor and the core worlds, while the defense forces from other systems like Thyferra were either diminishing or retreating. She wouldn't even be surprised if Clan Australis came regarding Thyferra, as she had heard of a previous conflict regarding this planet. Either way though that didn't mean that she was trusting everything she would hear. From expierience on the Senate debates she knew only too well that messengers were rarely sent because of good news.

The Senator ventured that the situation was dire, impressing Reyn with her honesty. Mandalorians, who were as unique as individuals as most other species, usually respected honesty. Reyn didn't expect an aruetii to understand, but Mando'ade history was a long and distinguished list of Mandos either kicking shebs or being nearly wiped out by some enemy or other. The Mando'ade always survived, because that was their nature. You couldn't eliminate an idea. Fortunately for this conversation, the Senator had also hit at the crux of the issue; the First Order. You speak to the heart of my reason for coming, Senator. The First Order. They have become a mutual threat. For reasons not your fault, Clan Australis has come to see Corellia as an enemy, with previous conflicts at Thyferra and elsewhere. I have come because we cannot afford to be enemies with the larger and more serious threat now apparent. I can prevent a conflict between us with a simple statement from Corellia disavowing the actions of the previous regime. Reyn's idea to create peace here came from a desire to protect his people from unnecessary conflict, not for altrusim toward the Corellians, but it was to the Mandalorian and his father's way of thinking to never forget an enemy. If Reyn could convince Kaine that the enemy was the previous regime and not the current one, he would have no desire to strike at Corellia, and thus neither would Clan Australis follow him into that conflict. Which would be to Corellia's benefit as well as the Mandos. The threat of the First Order was far more dire.I'm here without the knowledge or sanction of my Alor, but I can come to him with proof today's Corellia means no ill intent, and that will be enough to create peace between us. In the face of a mutual threat, i am sure you can see the appeal. He thought about making an offer of support for the Osarian situation, but held back on making that offer until he was sure the Neimodian Senator would agree to the peace plan. It wasn't his best work, but Reyn was very new to diplomacy, and new to preventing rather than participating in, conflict. As his father said, War always came, sooner or later. It was Reyn's intent that it not come here.

The Senator wasn't necessarily certain, what the idea of Reyn Australis was, when talking about a previous regime. There isn't much that Linuy knew about Corellia's older history, as he might refer to older times, when organisations like the Dark Tide ruled large portions of the galaxy or the countless battles among the Imperial Remnants. Corellia was a world, mostly supported by the Jedi and thus protected by their kind, yet they didn't impose a gouvernment upon the democratic parliament of the Corellian Coalition. Perhaps she would hear the answer to this riddle soon enough. "Any support against the First Order is welcomed, for there are many threats within the galaxy, that seek to undermine us", she stated benevolent,"Various Sith factions have settled within the Outer Rim and threaten the peace of this galaxy. One of their cults have even stretched out their influence towards Thyferra, when the Coalition was able to protect the system. One of our senators was kidnapped, while it was thanks to the Jedi Orders that the threat was eliminated before it could take roots on the planet. Those factions grow stronger with the First Order's constant warfare against other factions, making it surprising that they haven't engaged in war yet with these sinister powers. Yet there is little we can do, for the Jedi have their own systems to protect against the forces, that lurk within the darkness and the Coalition's fleet can despite it's impressive size not hold it's ground against two of the largest empires within the Galaxy." She made a brief pause, before continiueing, realizing that she wasn't probably telling the young Australis something new. "If it is concerning the Thyferra incident between the Coalition and Clan Australis, I can assure your Alor, that there is no ill blood between us", she then stated, assuming that this is, why the Alor of Clan Australis wants to forge peace negotiations , "Others might disagree, given that we are a democracy, yet as you can see for yourself there is no need for quarrel over a world, that is either represented by one of our Senators or gouverned by your men. Right now our attention lies within the Core worlds and their defense - no matter the debates, the Prime Minister's priorities are more urgent, when considering our intel about the First Order's recent fleet movements.
Which side you and Clan Australis pick is not our decision. Despite the errors of the Galactic Empire some Mandalorian Clans supported the First Order during the Siege of Mon Calamari, when the Galactic Alliance met it's demise. Therefore I fear that some of our Coalition members, who were former members of the Galactic Alliance, could have a distrusting attitude towards you. If you want to help us in our fight, Clan Australis is always welcome to proof them wrong. For I fear that not many freeholds within the galaxy will be present, should the Core Worlds fall against the might of the First Order. Mandalore would become the next beacon of hope perhaps. But for how long? Until the Empire strikes back? Delvardus has made many treaties and secured his position by that way as the Supreme Commander, how they call him. If Fondor and Corellia fall, Mandalore might be next, sooner or later. At least that is what I fear will happen."
The Senator remembered only all too well the reports of the Sith having taking over regions within the former territory of the Galactic Alliance. By now the Blackguard Reborn had absorbed the former splinter movement of the new Separatists, that had named themselves as the "Grand Confederacy" and annexed most of their planets, wheras the Quarren of Dac seemed to have allied with sinister forces as well, that seemed to follow the same agenda as the ones of the Sith. The First Order did nothing to prevent this. From Linuy's point of view, their autocracy has destabilized the rest of the galaxy to a point, where everything outside of their borders was doomed to fall into chaos. For others, that are by now independent like the Mandalorians it either would mean to bow to a self-proclaimed Emperor some day or to hold off against the forces of the Dark Side. Thus she hoped that the representative of Clan Australis would understand the reasoning of the Coalition. If she knew for certain that the outcome of the confrontation with the heirs of the Empire would result in another Endor and proclaim the fall of the Empire once more, there would have been more hopeful words from her side. However, she wasn't optimistic. She had already seen one gouvernment fall under the bombardement of the First Order's Star Destroyers - she was prepared to witness a similiar hopeless battle.

Reyn listened politely and intently while the Senator spoke. He had accomplished his mission here with the Senator's clear statement, something he could relay to his father and prevent any conflict. There might be a few things he could clear up for the Senator-in-exile, in the interests of future goodwill between all parties.Let me reassure you, Senator, that while the faction now protecting Thyferra does indeed include Sith and former Sith, the faction does not hold to Sith ideals. The Vegemite Enclave is otherwise occupied in conflict with various imperial forces, however, they would be a powerful enemy for the First Order, should it come to that.Clan Australis, particularly the Alor, would not be part of an endeavour to create a Sith empire, nor to further the interests of Sith ideology. That was a longer explanation than Reyn cared to give, but it was important he point out the Vegemites meant Corellia no ill will.Though we Mandalorians make warfare our profession, we are not in the habit of crusading these days. If war comes, we will not begin it, but we will finish it. Though we are rarely completlely united, the current Mand'alor is well respected, and would likely retain support of most of the Clans; though there is always at least one or two Clans that do their own thing.Mandalorians would not go to war with the First Order unless the First Order brought war to them, unless they were shown sufficient reason, either for credits or honour or glory. It depended on the Mandalorian in question.I think we could benefit from sharing intelligence, I can personally commit to that much. Should further assistance be needed, I will see what I can do to bring aid. Thankyou for seeing me on short notice, and for your valuable time, Senator.Reyn stood up, having stretched his abilities in diplomacy, not to mention his authority, about as far as he could make it go. He would have a lot of quick talking and explaining to do when he got back to Mando space, but for once he'd be bringing good news. The Senator had been forthcoming, honest, open and friendly. Reyn would ensure that also went into his report.

Sabina leans back in her chair after setting her datapad down on her desk once she has finished reading the latest update on the progress being made in the repairs of the CEC's shipyards, which were heavily damaged in the First Order's attack on the Corellian system. With the importance of the shipyards to the economy on Corellia, their repair were given precedence once the dust and confusion following the First Order's successful campaign to bring an end to the Corellian Coalition had settled enough that an organized response to the damages sustained across the Five Worlds could begin.
It was a group of wealthy and influential heads of corporations and city leaders on Corellia that, working closely with both the Corellian Defense Force and CorSec, had stepped up in the wake of the Coalition's demise to set about restoring order and seeking to repair the damages done to military, civilian and corporate assets during the First Order's ruthless attack. In order to restore some semblance of a coordinated effort to the governance of not only Corellia, but also the other worlds collectively known as the Five Brothers, the Corellian Council was reestablished, and one of the first decisions they made was to reinstate the role of Diktat, choosing Sabina, a philanthropist and the managing partner of a highly respected corporate law firm in Coronet with connections in the military, legal, law enforcement, and political worlds that the Council believed would serve her well in the role.
Months into the role, Sabina is still not sure that the Council made the right choice, but has nonetheless devoted herself to it with same dedication and passion that she brought to managing her law firm and to her philanthropic pursuits. The fates of the Five Brothers have always been entwined, and Sabina had been quick to reach out to the leaders on the other inhabited planets of the Corellian system so that they could work together in the recovery effort on all of their home planets. There has been some talk of formalizing their alliance into something akin to the confederacy that existed after the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, with heads of state on each planet leading the governance of the system, but for now Sabina and the leaders on Selonia, Drall and the Twin Worlds of Talus and Tralus are content to work together without the need to add hashing out the details of an official system of government.
After rubbing her eyes and standing up to stretch, Sabina picks up her datapad and paces around her office as she moves on to the next report that was sent to her this particular evening, detailing the ongoing effort to restore the Corellian Defense Force's fleet to its former operational capacity after the losses it suffered in the First Order's attack, pleased to learn that, as work had begun on building new ships had begun as soon as the CEC's shipyards had been repaired enough to make the effort possible, several vessels have already been completed and are anticipated to be in service soon.

Sabina is reviewing a budgetary request from CorSec when her assistant, an orange skinned female M'shento'su Nikto named Tasmia, enters her office to inform of a preliminary after-action report that had just come in from the CDF fleet stationed over Drall. Having asked to be informed of any intelligence that comes in concerning the Rebel Alliance, whose existence she had learned of shortly after assuming her office but has until now had not come across any intelligence about how to contact the group, Sabina understands why her assistant had made it a priority when she learns from the report that the Rebels had come to the aid of a CDF corvette that had come under attack by a group of pirates.
Checking the report more closely for the time the events occurred, Sabina sees that it was recent enough that if Drall's defensive fleet commanders have not yet met with the Rebels who almost certainly prevented any more loss of life than proved to be the case with their intervention, there is a chance that her hopes of getting into contact with the Rebel leadership to discuss ways The Five Worlds might help their cause might be realized. While she would prefer for such a discussion to take place face to face, Sabina thinks that she might have to settle for the next best thing in this particular instance. Calling Tasmia back into her office, Sabina has her contact the CDF fleet commander over Drall so that, if the timing works out right and they are willing, she can arrange a way to meet with the Rebels via an imagecaster and, if nothing else, learn of how to contact their leaders.
